VERA, DOROTHY B.
October 7, 2008
Dorothy B. Vera, 85, formerly of 289 Park Road, Hamden, passed away Oct. 7, 2008 in St. Raphael’s Hospital. Born July 28, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Frank J. and Edith T. Feeney Vera. She was an employee of the City of New Haven for 48 years, working for the Redevelopment Agency, the Board of Education and in the Corporation Counsel’s Office. She also worked as a legal secretary for the firm of Clark, Hall & Peck and worked in the State’s Attorney’s Office for the late Arnold Markle. Dorothy will be remembered for her precise nature and work ethic and her dry wit. Over the years, she trained some very good lawyers in the New Haven area. She was predeceased by a sister, Muriel Pethick.
Friends are invited to attend funeral services in The Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St. (cor. Dwight) Saturday, Oct. 11 at 10:00. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park.

INGENITO, ELEANORA
October 6, 2008
Eleanora Ingenito, 90, of Alps Road, Branford, formerly of Knollwood Drive, New Haven, passed away October 6, 2008. Born in New Haven July 18, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Andrew A. and Carmela Anne DiStadio Ingenito. Prior to her retirement, she worked as an administrative assistant in the Dept. of Surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital. She is survived by two nephews, Anthony (Michele) Augliera and Andrew (Jan) Ingenito and three nieces, Kathryn (Thomas) Fenton, Rosemary (Daniel) Dunn and Ami (Brian) Goedke. She was predeceased by a brother, Dr. Gabriel A. Ingenito and two sisters, Rose Augliera & Raye Ingenito.
Funeral from The Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St. (cor. Dwight) New Haven Thursday, Oct. 9th at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church, Wooster Square, at 10:00. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the funeral from 8:30 to 9:30. Interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery.

Cecile G. Drouin

Cecile G. Drouin, 81, of Willimantic, beloved wife of William J. Drouin, died Friday, 9/24/04, in St. Joseph’s Living Center.
She was born Feb. 2, 1923 in Willimantic the daughter of Arvey and Rose (Perreault) Rock.
She was a weaver, employed by the Roslyn Mfg. Co. for 40 years, retiring in 1978. Mrs. Drouin was a member of St. Anne’s Society and a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Willimantic.
Besides her husband, her survivors include a sister, Rosita Rodriguez of New Orleans, LA. She was predeceased by two sisters and a brother: Albina and Lorraine Drouin and Lionel Rock.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 9/28/04, at 10 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church in Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham. The family will receive friends Monday, from 6 to 8 P.M. and again Tuesday, from 9:00 to 9:30 A.M. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic.

Krystyna Kost

Krystyna Kost, 85, of Willimantic, widow of John Kost, Sr., died Thursday, 9/23/04, in Windham Hospital.
She was born July 4, 1919 in Sanok, Poland daughter of Andrew and Tekla (Nowak) Huczko.
Mrs. Kost was a seamstress employed by Todd’s Dept. Store for 16 years, Tubridy’s for 3 years and Losen’s Tailor Shop for 11 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church and the Ukrainian National Home.
Her survivors include a stepson, John Kost, Jr. of Minneapolis, MN, two nephews, Joseph and John Duda, and two step-grandchildren. She also leaves her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Consoli of Bristol and many friends. She was predeceased by her son, Lubomir Huczko.
A Panahyda Service will be held Monday, 9/27/04, at 9:30 A.M. in the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic, followed by a procession to St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church for the celebration of her Funeral Mass at 10 A.M. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham. Calling hours are Sunday, from 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home with a Panahyda Service at 6 P.M.

Laurier Joseph Henri
11-23-1924 - 9/14/2004
Laurier Joseph Henri, 79, of Hampton, husband of the late Mildred (Koski) Henri who died in 1985 and Bernice (Maynard) Henri, who passed away in 1996, died Tuesday, 9/14/04, in Windham Hospital after a brief illness and surrounded by his family.
He was born Nov. 23, 1924 in Biddeford, ME the son of Gedeon and Armoza (Bedard) Henri.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, discharged in 1947 with the rank of sergeant. He retired as yard foreman from the American Thread Co. in 1986, after 38 years of service. Mr. Henri was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Hampton. He was a member of the Fin, Fur and Feather Club of Chaplin, a founding member of the Hampton Fire Dept. and Ambulance Corps. He was a member of the Hampton Seniors and called Bingo for them. Mr. Henri was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, and reader. His most enjoyable years were spent with his children and grandchildren and the time spent in Florida with his sister, Dot and her husband, John. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Laurian and William Chandler of Hampton; two sons and daughters-in-law: Dennis and Sandi Henri of Canton, NY and Wayne and Lela Henri, Sr. of Hampton; four grandchildren: Dean Sypher and his wife, Kim of Lebanon, Kelley Sypher of Zephyerhills, FL, Wayne Henri, Jr. of Scotland and Allen Henri of Hampton. He also leaves four stepchildren: Jean Labossier of Plainfield, Joyce Langlois, Ken Maynard and Wayne Maynard of Florida; a brother, Joseph Henri of Lebanon; four sisters: Solange Gencarella and Carol Dower of Westerly, RI, Dorothy Turano of North Stonington and Lucille Henri of Florida; also several nieces, nephews, and step grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sisters, Florette Cortese and Jeannine Cote.
His funeral will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.

Memorial donations may be made to either Our Lady of Lourdes Church of Hampton or the Hampton Ambulance Corps.

Stella Miela
10-26-1909 - 9/14/2004
Stella Miela, 94, of Columbia, widow of Stanley J. Miela, Sr., died Tuesday, September 14, 2004.
Those that will sadly miss her are her son, Stanley J. Miela, Jr. and his wife, Beverly M. Miela of Storrs; three grandchildren: Carolyn Miela of Enfield, Patricia Miela and Walter Okoney of Columbia and Mark Miela and his wife, Anne of Glastonbury. She also leaves six great grandchildren: Britny, Lynzy, and Joshua Miela of Columbia, Daniel Patrick and Ryan Frances of Glastonbury, and Melanie Miela and her mother, Pamela Miela of Lebanon. Also surviving are a brother-in-law, Matthew Miela and a sister-in-law, Gertrude Miela, both of Willimantic.
Her Funeral Service will be private. There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society, 238 West Town St. Norwich, 06360.

Laura B. Lucier
10-02-1911 - 9/8/2004
Laura (Bugbee) Lucier, 92, of Meriden, formerly of West Willington, widow of Lawrence H. Lucier, died in the Westfield Care & Rehab. Center in Meriden.
She was born Oct. 2, 1911 in Southington, CT daughter of Tennant C. and Mary (Culver) Bugbee.
She had been an Assistant Puchasing Director at the University of CT in Storrs. Mrs. Lucier was an organist at St. Phillip’s Church in Warrenville for many years.
Her survivors include a daughter, Judith-Anne Sammito of Bolton, and a son, William L. Lucier of Willimantic. She also leaves two grandchildren, Geoffrey Smith of Northford, CT and Jodi-Lynne Wendus of Rockville; also two great grandchildren, Fallon and Bianca Smith.
Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 9/18/04, at 10 A.M. in St. Phillip the Apostle Church in Warrenville. Burial will follow in St. Phillip Cemetery. There are no calling hours. .

James Francis Miller
03-02-1926 - 9/7/2004
James Francis Miller, Sr. of Mansfield Center died Tuesday, Sept. 7th at the Windham Community Memorial Hospital. He was born in Hartford, on March 2, 1926 son of the late Rose (McPartland) and Edward P. Miller. Jim was a Willimantic resident for most of his life, graduating from St. Joseph's Grammar School and Windham High School, and attending the University of Connecticut. He was an avid reader and a basketball enthusiast, following the UConn men's and women's basketball teams along with the Boston Celtics. For thirty-eight years he was employed at the Brand~Rex Company as a manager of warehousing and shipping. He was a life member of B.P.O.E.#1311 and was honored as Elk of the Year in 1971 for his outstanding community service. In retirement he was a member of the Windham Seniors and the Chaplin
Senior Center. Jim will be remembered both as a gentleman and a gentle man. He loved his family and is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Doris (Bigelow), his daughter Kathleen, her husband ~aymond Bushey, and their daughter Megan, of St. Augustine, Fla., his son James, Jr., his wife Nancy, their children Devon, McKenzie, and Brady, of Danbury, his son Marc, his wife Lily, their children Edward (Ned) and Molly, of Hartford, his brother Raymond, his wife Rose and their family, of Lebanon, and a cousin Vivian Moore of Southington. Jim was
predeceased by his brother Edward, Jr. and his sister Rosemary Miller. The family will receive friends Thursday, from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, at 11 A.M. in St. Joseph's Church in Willimantic with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham.

Joseph W. Alpha Gaudreau

Joseph W. Alpha Gaudreau, 92, of Willimantic, beloved husband of Eva Lis Gaudreau, died Sunday, 9/5/04, in Windham Hospital.
He was born July 27, 1912 in Pawtucket, RI, one of five children, of Hector and Rosana (Ducharme) Gaudreau.
He was retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft of East Hartford after more than 30 years of Service. He enjoyed Red Sox baseball and his several winters spent in Florida.
Besides his wife, his survivors include his son, Edward F. Gaudreau and his wife Louise L. of Mansfield and their daughters, Tracy Gaudreau of South Carolina and Renee Gaudreau of Windham. He is also survived by his stepchildren: Norma and Tom Keegan of Columbia, Phyllis and Jack Lester of Columbia and John and Martha Lis of New York. He also leaves his sister, Jeannette Gaudreau of Willimantic. Mr. Gaudreau was predeceased by his first wife, Dora (Fontaine) Gaudreau.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 9/8/04, at 10 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church in Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham. The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 9:00 to 9:30 A.M. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic.

Edmund (Yolla) Yallo

Edmund (Yolla) Yallo, 93, of Chaplin, formerly of Fairfield, Died Tuesday, 8/24/04, in Windham Hospital.
He was born Sep. 6, 1910 in Fairfield, CT son of the late Lorenzo and Angelina (Costello) Yallo.
Mr. Yallo was employed by Sikorsky Aircraft for 20 years.
His survivors include two daughters: Lorraine Wargo of Ocean City, NJ and Dolores Dominique of Chaplin. He also leaves three grandsons, four granddaughters and several great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Sandra Jean Yallo.
