Andrew J. Masto, 61, of 864 Bird Bay Way, Venice FL died February 5 at his home from prostate cancer. He is the husband of Sharon Franco Masto. Mr. Masto was born in New Haven March 26, 1943 a son of M. Genevieve Gambardella Masto and the late Daniel Masto. He is the father of Jacqueline, Christopher and Stephen Masto. Brother of Daniel Masto Jr. and grandfather of Sam, Lucy, Ellie and Anna. An engineer for Northeast Utilities, Millstone Plant, Andy was an avid golfer who loved to play at Alling Memorial Golf Course in New Haven. He also volunteered at the Greater Hartford Open.
His funeral will leave the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. 11 Wooster Pl. Tuesday morning at 8:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael's Church at 9. Burial in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Monday from 5-8pm. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Masto Family Scholarship c/o Amity Charitable Trust 5 Algonquin Drive Wallingford, CT 06492.

Gilda Bracale Ematrudo

Gilda Bracale Ematrudo of Harrington Avenue died February 9, 2005 in Sister Anne Virginie Health Center. She was the wife of Michael Ematrudo. Mrs. Ematrudo was born in New Haven July 28, 1914 a daughter of the late Guiseppe and Carmela Brandi Bracale. She was a seamstress at Lesnow Dress Company and a volunteer at the Farnam Neighborhood House. She is the mother of Vincent Ematrudo and the late Concetta Ematrudo. Sister of Antoinette Bedocs and the late Concetta Pagliuca, Anna Cappucci, Louise Leonardo, Carmen, Alphonse and Edward Bracale.
Funeral from the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc., 11 Wooster Place Friday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent dePaul Church at 10:30. Burial in All Saints Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday morning from 9 to 10. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Farnam Neighborhood House, 162 Filmore Street, New Haven, CT 06513.

William M. Meglio

William M. Meglio, 85, formerly of 97 Northford Road in Branford, died February 8, 2005 at the Clifton House. He was the husband of the late Jean (Chickie) Adinolfi Meglio. Mr. Meglio was born in New Haven March 28, 1919 a son of the late Rocco and Giovanina (Jennie) Amarone Meglio and was a World War II Navy Veteran. He was the owner and operator of W. M. Meglio Construction and a former member of the St. Andrew's Society. Mr. Meglio is the father of Carol and Leonard (Chuck) Dombroski and the late PFC William Meglio Jr. who was killed in Vietnam in 1965. Grandfather of Michelle Tripp and her husband Scott. Brother of the late Loretta Sansone, Genevieve Coppola, Annette Nastri, Helen Corona, Mildred Riccitelli, Alfred and James Meglio.
Funeral from the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc., 11 Wooster Place Saturday morning at 8:45. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Church at 9:30. Burial in All Saints Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the ACES Village School, 31 Temple Street, North Haven, CT 06473.

Dolores was born in New Haven December 10, 1941 daughter of the late Louis and Veronica Forte Bernardo. She had worked for Anthem Blue Cross prior to retiring. She is the mother of Sandra Ratineri Grimm and her husband Louis of North Branford and Christopher Ratineri and his wife Michelle (Chelle) of Old Saybrook. Sister of Louis Bernardo Jr. of East Haven. Grandmother of Alexander and Alyssa and also survived by Aunt Sheila McDonough.

John Nappi, 86, of 4 Jeffrey Rd. East Haven died at home February 19. He is the husband of Mary Gambardella Nappi. Mr. Nappi was born in New Haven Septmber 20, 1918 a son of the late Gaetano J. and Assunta Annunziata Nappi. He served with the US Army 118th Medical Regiment during WWII and received the Bronze Star. He also received a Presidential Commendation for volunteering for malaria treatment. John was a member of the St. Andrew Apostle Society and the Wooster Street Old Timers Committee. He is the father of Gaetano (Guy) and Anthony Nappi. Grandfather of Maryann D'Auria, Annemarie Vinas and John Nappi. Brother of the late Rose Savo, Carmel Papero, Lena, James and Henry Nappi.

Clementine (Toots) Esposito Natalino died peacefully at home February 19, 2005 surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was the wife of the late Michael V. Natalino Sr. Mrs. Natalino was born in New Haven May 9, 1921 a daughter of the late Gennaro and Jennie Camarato Esposito and graduated from Commercial High School in 1939. She worked at Sperry & Barnes and was co-founder with her late husband Mike of Grand Fuel Oil which they operated for 50 years. Mrs. Natalino was treasurer of the Dom Aitro Baseball League and founder of the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital New Haven Chapter. She is the mother of Arthur P. (Angel) Natalino, Gerald A. (Marilou) Natalino and Michael V. (Margaret) Natalino Jr. Sister of Vincenza Piscitelli. Grandmother of Michael, Gerald, Michelle, Alyssa, Sara, Arthur, Mark and Barbara Natalino. Great grandmother of Arthur, Michael Jr. and Nicolas Natalino. She also leaves her cat Mikey.

He was employed by Creative Financial Planning and Edge of the Woods Natural Foods Store. He is the brother of Evelyn Montano and uncle of Anthony, James and David Montano.

Ralph P. "Murmur" LaTorraca, 81, of North High Street in East Haven entered into eternal rest February 19, 2005 after a short illness. He is the former husband of Nancy Keefe LaTorraca. Ralph was a district manager for the New Haven Register for many years and enjoyed watching the ponies with his many friends at Sports Haven. He is the father of Susan (John) Palmieri, Nancy (Mark) Peszko, Keefe LaTorraca and the late Ralph J. LaTorraca. Brother of Rose Savo and the late Mary Raffone, Alphonse and Phillip LaTorraca. Brother-in-law of Gloria LaTorraca. Grandfather of Lea & Christopher Palmieri and Carlee and Travis Peszko. Ralph is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She is the mother of Joan (John) Morrissey, Linda (Edward) Corwell, Robert (Sandy) and Richard Baldino. Sister of Anne Mendillo and the late Philomena Murgo, Theresa, Peter, John and Joseph Aurora. Also survived by 4 beloved grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
