Catherine Marangell, 86, of 235 Alden Ave., New Haven, died Aug. 24, 2006 in St. Raphael’s Hospital. Miss Marangell, daughter of the late Frank and Raffie Colonnese Marangell, was born in Akron, Ohio on May 30, 1920. She worked as a secretary to the judges of the Connecticut Superior Court for many years prior to her retirement. She is survived by a sister, Mildred Sticco of New Haven and several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by 3 brothers, Joseph, Patrick and Dominic Marangell, and a sister, Mary Wilson.
Funeral from The Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St. (cor. Dwight), New Haven Tuesday morning at 9:20. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Aedan’s Church, 112 Fountain St., at 10:00. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 5 to 8 PM. Interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery.

MORGAN, BARBARA MAC KAY
August 22, 2006
Barbara MacKay Morgan, 58, of 181 Clifton St., formerly of Bella Vista, New Haven, died Aug. 22, 2006 in St. Raphael’s Hospital. She was the wife of William R. Morgan. Born in Bridgeport Sept. 21, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Spencer & Olga Kopasz MacKay. She was employed by SNET for 25 years prior to her retirement. Beside her husband, she leaves a brother, Martin Ewing of N.H.; a sister, Patricia MacKay Landin of Albany, GA.; 2 sisters in law, Tara Tetreault & Sandy Lewis of New Haven; a niece, Carrie Ewing & 2 nephews, Martin & Kevin Tetreault. Precedeased by a brother, Alfred “Butch” Rhodes.
Friends may call at The Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St. (cor. Dwight) New Haven Tuesday (TODAY) from 5 to 8 PM and are invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Church, Wednesday morning at 9:00. Private interment in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.

CSEH, AUGUST
August 19, 2006
August “Gus” Cseh, 89, of 11 Lee St., West Haven, entered into eternal rest at his home Aug. 19, 2006. He was the husband of the late Alyce Feslis Cseh. Mr. Cseh was born in West Haven Dec 15, 1916. He was employed by the CT. Dept. of Transportation for most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army in the European War Theatre during World War II and was a member of the Allingtown Vol. Fire Dept. and St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing handball & baseball. He was the godfather of Ronald Wachter & Alyson Barton and brother in law of Helen & Herbert Wachter, Mary and the late Julius Mento. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Herman & Joseph and a sister, Betty.

PROESTAKES, CONSTANTINE P.
August 7, 2006
Constantine P. Proestakes, 86, of 401 Swanson Crescent, Milford, died at home Aug. 7, 2006. He was the husband of Helen Papaiouannou Proestakes. Mr. Proestakes, son of the late Peter & Paraskevi Proestakes, was born May 13, 1920 in Vresthena, Greece. He operated the Derby Drive In at Derby & the Boulevard in New Haven for many years. Prior to that, he was a chef in the Hotel Taft. During World War II, he served as a PFC in the US Army Infantry in France and was wounded at Normandy. He was the recipient of The Purple Heart. Beside his wife, he is survived by a son, Peter C. (Virginia) Proestakes of Orange; a daughter, Peggy (Michael) Losh of Woodbridge; and 4 grandchildren, Michael (Victoria) Losh, Paul Losh, Constantine (Dean) and John Proestakes. He was predeceased by a sister & 2 brothers.

REDENTE, VINCENT
August 5, 2006
Vincent Redente, 61, of 82 Florence St., East Haven, died Aug. 5, 2006 in St. Raphael’s Hospital. Born in New Haven June 2, 1945, he was the son of Raphaela “Rae” Pappacoda Redente and the late Andrew “Jackson” Redente. He was an iron worker until an accident ended his career. He has been a resident of St Regis Health Care for some time. Beside his mother, he is survived by a brother, Andrew Redente of Fresno, CA.; 3 sisters, Carmel Staplins of Guilford, Louise Siminausky & Concetta Russell, both of East Haven. Also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews.

MARTINEZ, NICOLAS
August 2, 2006
Nicolas Martinez Jr., 55, of 343 Eastern St., New Haven, died Aug. 2, 2006 in The CT Hospice. Born in Ponce, P.R. Oct. 7, 1950, he was the son of the late Nicolas & Maria Colon Martinez. He has been a resident of New Haven most of his life, coming here in 1960. He worked as a roofer for many years. He is survived by 2 sons, Nicolas Longhneis of Las Vegas & Marcos Ayala of East Haven; 2 daughters, Maria Martinez of Maine & Rebecca Torres of New Haven; a brother, Firefighter Edwin Martinez, NHFD, of Hamden, a sister, Evelyn Martinez of New Haven. Also survived by 5 grandchildren, several nieces & nephews and The Ayala Family.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Saturday at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private. Joseph Misiti Sr., 64, of North Haven, died July 22, 2006. He was the husband of Tillie Abate Misiti. Mr. Misiti was born in Springfield, MA Sept. 28, 1941 son of the late Guiseppe and Anna Bruno Misiti. Until his retirement he was a foreman for the Marlin Firearms Co. for 43 years. Besides his wife he is survived by 2 sons, Joseph (Sharon) and Michael (Concetta) Misiti, both of Wallingford; a daughter, Gina(Paul) Pini of North Haven; and 4 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister Ruth.

Marie Marcarelli Kazmercyk, age 51, of 19-53 Prospect Ridge, Ridgefield, CT died July 22, 2006 at Bethel Health Care after a long illness. She was the wife of Peter Kazmercyk
Marie was the daughter of Carmel “Millie” Salemme Marcarelli and the late Dionisio Marcarelli who were long time residents of New Haven and later became residents of Wallingford. She was a former employee of SNET in New Haven and a longtime employee of Prescient Worldwide and Profitec of Wallingford. Besides her husband she is survived by three brothers, Edmund Marcarelli of Braintree, MA, Steven Marcarelli of West Haven, CT, and Dean Marcarelli of Centerville, OH; three sisters in law, Karen, Patricia, and Nicole; six nephews and one niece. Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass which will be celebrated in St. Rose of Lima Church, 115 Blatchley Ave., New Haven Saturday July 29th at 10:00 AM. NAPOLITANO, JOHN P.
July 19, 2006
John P. Napolitano, 85, formerly of Ridge Rd., Orange, died peacefully at home in Seymour on July 19, 2006. He was the husband of Mary Jane Gormley Napolitano. Born in New Haven Feb. 10, 1921 he was a dedicated plumber for 70 years. He served in the American Legion in Milford and Seymour for 43 years and was an Orange Volunteer fireman for 15 years. He was a Navy veteran of WWII serving on ship # 612. His true love was building wooden toys for children in his basement workshop. Besides his wife he is survived by 2 daughters, Barbara Napolitano of West Haven, Theresa Yates of Fredericksberg, Va, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son John F. Napolitano and a daughter Debra Goodmaster Napolitano.

LIVIERI, HENRY M.
July 13, 2006
Henry M. Livieri, 74, of Hamden, died July 13, 2006. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Pesticci Livieri. Mr. Livieri was born Jan. 16, 1932, son of the late Dorando & Margaret Mongillo Livieri. He was a mechanical engineer and project manager for several area plumbing contractors. He was a graduate of University of New Haven with a degree in mechanical engineering and was a member of the CT Plumbers & Pipe fitters Union. He was a member of Carmel Council No. 3605, Knights of Columbus and the Campania Club. He was an avid New York Giant and Yankee fan, and was a founding member of a long standing Fantasy Football league. During the Korean Conflict, he served in the US Navy CeeBees. Beside his wife, he leaves 3 daughters, Lisa (William) Miller of North Haven, Lauren (Steven) Rowen of Durham and Linda Livieri of New Haven; 2 brothers, Richard (Sheila) Livieri of Hamden & George (Evelyn) Livieri of East Hartford; sisters in law and brothers in law, Mary & William Kranich of Hamden and Paul & Wendy Pesticci of Northford. Also surviving are Grampy Hank’s beloved Gabriella and several nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews.

Sylvester Ciarleglio, 87, of 125 Colony St., Hamden, formerly of 98 Plainfield Ave., West Haven, died July 7, 2006 in Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the husband of the late Carmela H. Criscuolo Ciarleglio. Mr. Ciarleglio was born in Orange on April 6, 1919, son of the late Giovanni & Prudenzia LaPorte Ciarleglio. He was a retired crane operator and member of Local 478, Union of Operating Engineers. He served in the US Army during World War II. He is survived by a son, Sylvester M. Ciarleglio Jr. and daughter in law, Theresa of Hamden; 2 sisters, Mrs. Albert (Marion) Mendillo of New Haven and Mrs. Gene (Jennie) Augustine of Orange; a brother, John Ciarleglio of Southbury and 2 grandchildren, Michael & Kimberly. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Dominic, Fred & Anthony Ciarleglio and 3 sisters, Maria Petrosino, Assunta (Sue) & Louise Ciarleglio.
