William F. Ebrech,

a Greenwich resident for 20 years, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2000 at Greenwich Hospital. He was 57.

He died of complications from pneumonia, according to his family.

Born June 24, 1943, in Yonkers, N.Y., he was the son of the late William C. Ebrech and Erna Solomon Ebrech.

Mr. Ebrech was president of United Maintenance Corp. in Stamford.

Before moving to the Stamford area, he lived in Yonkers, N.Y.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa Ebrech of Greenwich; and one son, Thomas Ebrech of Greenwich.

Calling hours are 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2000 at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch St., Greenwich.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000 at the funeral home.

Ida M. Bafundi,

a lifelong Stamford resident, died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2000 at Stamford Hospital. She was 80.

She died of heart failure, according to her family.

Born Jan. 10, 1920, in Stamford, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Felicia Gerardi Bafundi.

Ms. Bafundi worked as a secretary for the former Yale & Towne Manufacturing Co. and Fuel Tech of Stamford. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church Rosary Altar Society in Stamford and the National Council of Senior Citizens.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by four brothers, Harold Bafundi, Vito Bafundi, Vincent Bafundi and Vincent "Jimmy" Bafundi; and four sisters, Antoinette Parente, Mary Lionetti, Catherine Caporale and Carmella Catino.

Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2000 at the Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000 at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford.

Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery in Darien.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association of Connecticut, 45 Ash St. East Hartford, CT 06108.

Susan M. Careta

Susan M. Careta of Exeter, R.I., formerly of Stamford, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000 at Alpine Nursing Home in Coventry, R.I. She was 82.

Lillian Crocker

Lillian Crocker, a longtime Norwalk resident, died Friday, Nov. 24, 2000 at Norwalk Hospital. She was 82.

Janet De Jesus

Janet De Jesus of Norwalk died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000 at United Hospital Medical Center in Port Chester, N.Y. She was 36.

Barbara Weaver Haviland

Barbara Weaver Haviland of Manchester Center, Vt., died Monday, Nov. 20, 2000 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, Vt. She was 71.

Shirley Ann Hodge

Shirley Ann Hodge, a lifelong Stamford resident, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000 at Stamford Hospital. She was 45.

Philip A. Steinberg

Philip A. Steinberg, a 40-year Stamford resident, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000 at home. He was 76.

Dominick N. Summa

Dominick N. "Wimpy" Summa, a 53-year Stamford resident, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000 at Richard L. Rosenthal Hospice Residence in Stamford. He was 85.

Philomena Tamborino

Philomena Tamborino of Norwalk, a former Stamford resident, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000 at Genesis Norwalk Center. She was 95.

James M. Cobb

James Milton Cobb of Bridgeport, a former Stamford resident, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000 at Bridgeport Health Care Center. He was 95.

Janet De Jesus

Janet De Jesus of Norwalk died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000 at United Hospital Medical Center in Port Chester, N.Y. She was 36.

Shirley A. Hodge

Shirley Ann Hodge, a lifelong Stamford resident, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000 at Stamford Hospital. She was 45.

Giuseppe Magaro

Giuseppe Magaro, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000 at his home in Rose, Cosenca, Italy. He was 86.

Antonino Micalizzi

Antonino Micalizzi died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2000 at his home in Spontone, Reggio Calabria, Italy. He was 76.

Charles R. Reuter

Charles R. Reuter, a lifelong Greenwich resident, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000 at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford. He was 66.

James D. Harrington Sr.

James D. Harrington Sr., a lifelong Stamford resident, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000 at Stamford Hospital. He was 66.

Patrick C. Lenihan

Patrick C. Lenihan, a Darien resident, died Friday, Nov. 24, 2000 at home. He was 51.

Jean McConaughy

Jean McConaughy, a longtime Darien resident, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000 at Stamford Hospital. She was 81.

Itulia Rinchere-Jean

Itulia Rinchere-Jean, a Stamford resident, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000 at Stamford Hospice Care. She was 26.

James M. Wechsler

James M. Wechsler of Lebanon, N.H., a former Stamford resident, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000 at the Lebanon High School gymnasium. He was 66.

Edith M. Monaco,

a lifelong Stamford resident, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000 at Stamford Hospital. She was 81.

She died of cancer, according to her family.

Born June 18, 1919, in Stamford, she was a daughter of the late Bartholomew and Ann Marie Nardozza Gerardi.

She is survived by her husband, James T. Monaco of Stamford; a son, William D. Monaco of Madison; a daughter, Mary Ann Colletto of Stamford; and a brother, William "Bill" Gerardi of Stamford.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Daniel Gerardi and Joseph Gerardi; and two sisters, Mary Lombardo and Jennie Gerardi.

Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000 at Lacerenza Funeral Home Inc., 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27 at St. Mary's Church, 566 Elm St., Stamford.

Interment will follow in Queen of Peace Cemetery, Rockrimmon Road, Stamford.

Edward A. Guerrere of Fairfield died Wednesday,

Nov. 22, 2000 at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport. He was 71.

He died of a heart attack, according to his family.

Born April 17, 1929, in Norwalk, he was a son of the late Anthony and Elizabeth Venezia.

Mr. Guerrere had been a Fairfield resident since 1960. He was employed by Sears Roebuck, managing the customer service in Stamford until his retirement. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was awarded the Silver Star. He was a member of the VFW and St. Anthony's Seniors and past president of St. Anthony's Holy Name Society. He was also an avid fisherman, played semi-professional basketball and held the scoring record at Norwalk High School.

He is survived by his wife, Constance Festa Guerrere; two sons, Edward "Ned" Guerrere and Robert J. Guerrere, both of Monroe; two daughters, Lisa Ferguson Garcia of Milford and Dee Dee Ferguson Morley of North Haven; two brothers, Francis "Fritz" Guerrere of Port Ritchie, Fla., and Thomas Guerrere of Clarendon, Vt.; a sister, Marion Rogers of Norwalk; and six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000 at Fairfield Funeral Home of Edmund W. Dougiello, 36 S. Pine Creek Road, Fairfield.

The service is at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, 2000 at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, 2000 at the St. Anthony of Padua Church in Fairfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Operation Hope, 50 Nicholas St., Fairfield, CT 06430.
