Felix G. Rouleau
MERIDEN -- Felix G. Rouleau, 81, of Finch Ave., husband of Jeanette Dzijowski Rouleau, died Saturday morning, Dec. 14, 2002, at MidState Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born in Cheshire on April 4, 1921, the son of the late Charles and Angelina Trepanier Rouleau, he had resided in Meriden for most of his life. He attended local schools and was employed by Pembek Oil Co. for many years and more recently with the Grant Corp., retiring some 16 years ago. Mr. Rouleau was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Navy in the Atlantic Theatre of Operations. He was a lifelong parishioner of Holy Angels Church.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sister Cynthia Rouleau, S.N.D., of Vermont, Linda and Jonathan Cox of Bristol, and Carol and Brian Riordan of Stamford; four grandchildren, Melissa and Melanie Cox, and Timothy and Michael Riordan; a brother-in-law, Joseph Lagace of So. Meriden; also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five sisters; and two brothers.
The funeral will be held on Monday, Dec. 16, 2002, at 9:30 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden, and at 10 a.m. at Holy Angels Church, So. Meriden. Burial with military honors will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday morning prior to the Mass from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Holy Angels Church, the American Heart Association, Coccomo Memorial Health Care Center, or to the charity of one's choice.
Elizabeth A. Westfort
MERIDEN -- Elizabeth Alice Kroeber Westfort, 86, of 42 Sperry Lane, died Friday, Dec. 13, 2002, at the MidState Medical Center. She was the wife of Robert Edward Westfort.
Born in Richmond Hill, Long Island, N.Y., a daughter of the late Robert Theodore and Hattie Benson Kroeber. She had worked as a cook at Platt High School and for 17 years at Wilcox Technical School. She had been a Cub Scout leader, enjoyed singing, dancing, and belonged to the South Meriden Trinity United Methodist Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons and their wives, Ronald and Suzanne Westfort of Durham, Robert and Gertrude Westfort of Feeding Hills, Mass.; six grandchildren and their spouses, Michael and Sara Beth Westfort of Needham, Mass., Jason and Michelle Westfort of Wallingford, Veronica and John Pasieka of Middletown, Betsy Ellen and Mike Misialek of Framingham, Mass., Leane and Bruce Slawinowski of Durham and Lisa and Joe Angell of Fairfax, Va.; five great-grandchildren, Matthew Misialek of Chicopee, Mass., Leah and Evan Slawinowski of Durham, Ashlyn Angell and Dane Slawinowski of Fairfax, Va. She was predeceased by three brothers, Robert, Clifford and Wallace Kroeber.

Nicholas E. Arpaia Jr.
CHESHIRE -- Nicholas E. Arpaia Jr., 75, of Greenbriar Drive, Cheshire, passed away Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002 in Branford. He was the beloved husband of the late Marie Grace (Zampano) Arpaia.
Nicholas was the son of the late Nicholas E. and Ella Mae (Foley) Arpaia Sr. Prior to his retirement he was the Owner and President of Nickson Tool Sales Co. in North Haven.
He was the loving father of Nicholas E. Arpaia III of Durham and Kimberly M. Arpaia of New Haven; brother of Letty A. Plourd and her husband, Rick of W. Lake Village, Calif.; and uncle of Dr. David Plourd of San Diego, Calif.

OLD SAYBROOK -- Margaret McInerney Bonaiuto, widow of Paul P. Bonaiuto, formerly of Meriden, passed away Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at the home of her son, Ronald M. Bonaiuto of 78 Sea Lane, Old Saybrook, with her son, her dear friend and caregiver, Violet Ziupsniene, and good friend, George Danner, at her side.
Margaret was also the mother of Paul Bonaiuto, Jr. who passed away in 1994. Besides her son, Ronald, she leaves a daughter-in-law, Charlotte Bonaiuto of San Antonio, Texas; three grandsons, Barry, Vincent and Paul III; one granddaughter, Deborah; and two great-grandchildren, Heather and Michael; also several nieces and nephews; along with many good friends, including Frank, Joyce and Karen Burbidge of Meriden, and Tom and Flo Curley of Westbrook.
The funeral will be on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, at 10 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Meriden. Richard F. Hass
WALLINGFORD -- Richard Frederick Hass, 68, of North Airline Road, died unexpectedly, Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Rita Ragozzino Hass.
Born in Meriden, Oct. 29, 1934, a son of the late Richard E. and Ruth Albrecht Hass, he had been a Wallingford resident for many years. He was the founder of R.F. Hass and Sons Inc., a family operated electrical contracting business in Wallingford, and had formerly been a foreman at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft Corporation in North Haven. He was a member of Meridian Lodge, AF and AM of Meriden.
Besides his wife, Rita, he is survived by their children, Jeffrey R. Hass and his wife Patricia Hass of Norristown, Pa., Kirsten A. Garbe and her husband, Bruce R. Garbe of Meriden, and Marc D. Hass and Jason W. Hass, both of Wallingford; and two granddaughters, Melissa Ann Garbe and Cortney Beth Garbe of Meriden.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Wallingford, Monday (This evening) from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the conclusion of the calling hours in The Wallingford Funeral Home at 7:45 p.m. Interment will be private in In Memoriam Cemetery.
SHELTON -- Lucy Allen Molloy, 89, of Wesley Hgts., passed away Dec. 12, 2002, at Milford Hospital. She was the wife of the late Cyril Molloy.
She was born on June 3, 1913, in Lexington, Ky., daughter of the late Albert and Mary Anna Thomas Allen. She was a retired social worker for the State of Connecticut. She was a member and treasurer of Wesley Hgts., Residence Assoc.; Milford YMCA Council of Friends; YMCA Pool Aerobic Club; a volunteer at Wesley Hgts. Library, and a communicant of Mary Taylor Memorial Methodist Church of Milford. She was a 1934 graduate of Simmons College.
She is survived by one son, Thomas Allen Molloy of Meriden; one daughter, Dianne Sawicki of Seymour; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, at 10:30 a.m. at Wesley Hgts. with Rev. Jim Stinson officiating. Burial will be in Windsorville Cemetery. The Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Milford YMCA or Milford Public Library.

Charles H. Ives
MILFORD -- Mr. Charles H. Ives, 83, of West Main St., Milford, beloved husband of the late Dorothea Whalen Ives, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, peacefully at his home.
Son of the late Sidney Job and Harriet Harvie Ives, he was born Sept. 29, 1919, in Milford and was a lifelong resident of Milford. Mr. Ives was a personnel director for the former Western Electric of Orange for 40 years before his retirement in 1983. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, where he entered as a private and was discharged as a captain. He graduated from New Haven College in 1952. He was a former chairman of the Planning and Zoning Board, City of Milford, a former member of the Borough of Woodmont, a former director of Milford Little League, a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, a member of the Plymouth Men's Club and a longtime volunteer and donor for the American Red Cross.
He is survived by three sons, Charles M. Ives and his wife, Susan of Woodford, Va., Thomas C. Ives and his wife, Audrey of Tyngsboro, Mass., Richard P. Ives of East Haven; two daughters, Susan P. Ives of Milford, Kathleen Ives Hunter and her husband, Gilbert of Wallingford; nine grandchildren, Kenneth, Aaron, Deirdre and Douglas, Hilary, Jamie, Brian, Kathleen and James; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Aubrey of Branford; also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, George Ives; and three sisters, Anne Rogers, Harriet Cottrell and Mabel Maher.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the First United Church of Christ Congregational Milford followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Milford. Ernestine H. Lehnow
SOUTHINGTON -- Ernestine H. Lehnow, 75, of 119 Debbie Drive, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, at Bradley Memorial Hospital. She was the wife the late Henry H. Lehnow.
Born in New Britain on Dec.12, 1927, the daughter of the late John M. and Mary Connolly. She had worked many years ago at Landers in New Britain. She was a member of the Calendar House and was an avid bingo player.
She is survived by three sons, John M. Lehnow, Glenn H. Lehnow and William and his wife, Laurie Lehnow, all of Southington; a daughter, Shirley M. and her husband, Paul D'Agostino of Plantsville; seven grandchildren, Justin, Jennifer, Jason, Christopher and Andrew Lehnow and Alex and Matthew D'Agostino; a great-grandson, William Lehnow; a sister, Rita and her husband, William Leno of Kensington; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Connolly.
The funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
