Carmela `Molly` Lena (Lombardo) Gelzinis, 84, of Prospect Street, Torrington, Connecticut died Friday, July 7, 2006 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the wife of the late Adam J. Gelzinis.
Born February 5, 1922 in Torrington, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Cataldo and Rosemarie (Colangelo) Lombardo.
She is survived by two sons, Francis Gelzinis and daughter-in-law Cynthia, David Gelzinis, one daughter, Patricia Kennerson all of Torrington, Connecticut, ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Pat Lombardo, Conio Lombardo, Joseph Lombardo, Leonard Lombardo, and four sisters, Jennie Marciano, Anna Jasenski, Angela Czapor, and Lucy Whitley.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. from The LaPorta-Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield Street, Torrington, Connecticut to St. Peter Church, 107 East Main Street, Torrington, Connecticut for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The LaPorta-Cook Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children`s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 or to the American Cancer Society New England Division, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, Massachusetts 01701.

David Alan Swanney, 44, of Main Street, Worcester, Massachusetts died Monday, July 3, 2006.
Born October 9, 1961 in Torrington, Connecticut, he was the son of David and Shirley (Flint) Swanney of Torrington, Connecticut. He was employed with the maintenance department at Fort Devens. He served his country with the United States Navy.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one daughter Debra Moro of Dayton, Ohio, one brother, Peter Swanney of Plastow, New Hampshire, three sisters, Martha Vitale of White Oak, Pennsylvania, Mary Ellen Clark of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, Rebecca Vitale of Vandergift, Pennsylvania, his former wife Wendy Poley of Torrington, Connecticut as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at The LaPorta-Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield Street, Torrington, Connecticut. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at The LaPorta-Cook Funeral Home.

Dr. Eugene A. Grazia
February 27, 1946 - June 27, 2006

Dr. Eugene `Gene / Gino` A. Grazia, 60, of South Street, Litchfield, Connecticut died Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.
Born February 27, 1946 in Winsted, Connecticut, he was the son of Grace (Marcon) Grazia of Winsted, Connecticut and of the late Victor Grazia. A graduate of Gilbert High School, Class of 1964, he then attended St. Michaels College in Winooski, Vermont for three years and later graduated in 1971 from Georgetown University School of Dentistry. He owned and operated his own practice for many years, and has most recently been associated with Dr. Jorge Baujin. He served his country with the United States Navy where he was assigned for two years in California during the Vietnam Conflict. He was honorably discharged attaining the rank of Lieutenant. He was a member of the Litchfield County Dental Society, the Connecticut State Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Norfolk Country Club. He was an avid gardener, golfer and loved to travel.
In addition to his mother, Grace, he is survived by three brothers, Bob Grazia and his wife Daryl of Friday Harbor, Washington, Tom Grazia of Westfield, Massachusetts, Jack Grazia and his wife Carolyn of Winchester, Connecticut, several nieces and nephews as well as several grand nieces and grand nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. at the Norfolk Country Club, 50 Golf Drive, Norfolk, Connecticut. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to The LaPorta-Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield Street, Torrington, Connecticut.

Irma Perlotto

Irma Mary (DePaoli) Perlotto, 76, of Zephryllis, Florida, formerly of Culvert Street, Torrington, Connecticut died Thursday, July 6, 2006 in Zephyrhills, Florida. She was the wife of the late Daniel L. Perlotto.
Born November 21, 1929 in Torrington, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Phillippio and Maria (Minella) DePaoli. She was employed at the Adams House as a Dietary Aide until her retirement. While living in Torrington, she was a member of the Columbiettes. Upon moving to Florida five years ago, she was a member of the D.A.V. Women`s Auxiliary Chapter 65 in Zephyrhills and the Elks Lodge in Zephyrhills.
She is survived by two sons, David Perlotto of Torrington, Connecticut, Denis J. Perlotto of Zephryllis, Florida, two daughters, Debra Talbot and her husband Theodore, Jr. of Lakeland, Florida, Diane M. Pappalardo of Torrington, Connecticut, thirteen grandchildren, one great grandchild as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Chet DePaoli, Silvio DePaoli, John DePaoli, Frankie DePaoli and Mario DePaoli.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 12, 2006 and were entrusted to The LaPorta-Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield Street, Torrington, Connecticut.

John G. Julian, Jr.
December 3, 1929 - July 13, 2006
Torrington, Connecticut
John Gregory Julian, Jr., 76, of South Street, Torrington, Connecticut, a beloved husband, father, brother and friend, died Thursday, July 13, 2006 at Hartford Hospital. He was the husband of Janet (Maville) Julian.
Born in Torrington, Connecticut on December 3, 1929, he was the son of the late John Julian, Sr. and Mary Audia Julian. He joined the United States Air Force during 1950, and, after training, was assigned to the Military Police. Returning from the service, he started working for Cooperative Dairy in Torrington as a milk man; then became a meat cutter in Canton and East Hartland, Connecticut with Torrington Beef for several years. He later followed his father into the Restaurant business and opened the famous Central Lunch in 1982 on Hungerford Street. If was often said the customers not only came for the delicious food, but to referee the `fights` among the family members who worked alongside him for several years. He was a big, sometimes gruff man who loved his large family, playing golf, playing the ponies, arguing politics, traveling, being fiercely loyal to his friends, and the all night card games. But, he will also be remembered by his equally large heart as he would often feed and give loans, usually oth, to people who, as he would say `were down on their luck`. He was a member of the Torrington Elks Lodge.
In addition to his wife, Janet, he is survived by one brother, Salvatore Julian of Wethersfield, Connecticut, one sister Mrs. Yolanda Beecher of Torrington, Connecticut, one son, John Julian III of Torrington, Connecticut, ten daughters, Mrs. Mary-Anne Stagner of Winchester, Connecticut, Mrs. Kathryn Kovalaski of Lake Wales, Florida, Mrs. Cynthia Richardson of Manchester, New Hampshire, Mrs. Helen Salach of Dracut, Massachusetts, Gail Julian of Haverhill, Massachusetts, Mrs. Sibyl Gumbert of Falls Village, Connecticut, Bernadine Julian of Torrington, Connecticut, Mrs. Nichole Sheehy of Torrington, Connecticut, Renee Nooney of Boulder, Colorado, Michelle Menard of New Milford, Connecticut, 28 grandchildren 19 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Antonio Julian, one sister, Mrs. Frances Molon and one grandchild, Shannon Richardson.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 17, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. from The LaPorta-Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield Street, Torrington, Connecticut to St. Peter Church, 107 East Main Street, Torrington, Connecticut for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery with full military honors. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at The LaPorta-Cook Funeral Home.

Clara T. (Perzan) Bochenek, 80, of Plainville died on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005 at New Britain General Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Jan J. Bochenek. Born in New Britain, she lived here most of her life and was a member of Holy Cross Church. Mrs. Bochenek was employed by Fafnir Bearing Co. for 45 years and was a member of the New Britain Seniors.
A loving mother and grandmother she leaves her son and daughter-in-law Richard S. Bochenek and Lisa of Bristol, a brother and her sister-in-law Arthur Perzan and Josephine of Bristol, three grandchildren Amanda, Garrett, Jaime and her great grandson Alexander.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, 9:15 a.m., from Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 a.m., at Holy Cross Church. Born in Plainville, daughter of the late David and Ruth (Anderson) Johnson, she was a resident of New Britain most of her life. Helen was a member of Holy Cross Church. She retired from Stanley Works after many years of employment. Besides her husband John, she is survived by her son, John F. Parda and his wife Carol of Broad Brook; her daughter, Barbara Gagnon of New Britain; her sister, Ruth Healy of Plainville; her grandson, Kevin Gagnon and his wife Karen; step granddaughter, Jodi Mulloy and her husband Gary; great-grandchildren, John Luke Gagnon, Kayleigh Gagnon, Dallas Mickey and Allston Mickey.Her funeral services will be held on Monday, 9:30 a.m. from the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Church. Thomas M. Namnoum, 80, of Newington died on Friday, April 7, 2006 at home. He was the beloved husband of Eleanor (Zajac) Namnoum for 45 years. He was the son of John J. & Helen Namnoum. Born in Waterbury he lived in Newington for over 60 years and was a member of Holy Spirit Church. Mr. Namnoum served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WW II. and graduated from Dickinson College, Carlisle, PA in 1955 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity, and the Belles Lettres
Society. He was employed by the City of New Britain, Board of Education as a teacher at Pulaski and New Britain High Schools for many years. Tom was a member of the Newington Amateur Radio Relay League and the A.R.R.L. Besides his wife, Eleanor, he leaves his son and daughter-in-law John J. Namnoum and Marianne of S.Windsor, his daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth A. Dickman and David of Amston, grandson Joseph T.Dickman, brother and sister-in-law John
and Lucille Namnoum and his sister Marie Kiley all of Newington, his
sister-in-law Ruth Namnoum of Wallingford and several nieces and nephews and their families. He was pre-deceased by his brother Alfred Namnoum and three sisters Evelyn, Marjorie and Lois Namnoum. Tom had a profound impact on his family, friends and students. His zest for life and spirit touched all that knew him. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed. He was formerly employed as a security guard for Securitas Security Co. at the Hartford Group in Southington. Henry was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran serving with Company C of the 165th Engineers Company Battalion. He was a member of St. Jerome Church. He is survived by his beloved wife Florence (Budnick) Zadrozny and his loving family, two sons Robert H. Zadrozny and his wife Dana, of New Britain, and David R. Zadrozny and his fiancé Mila Ruiu, of Burlington, his daughter Diane M. Hammond, of Vienna, VA, three devoted grandchildren Brendan R. Zadrozny, Carly A.Zadrozny, both of New Britain, and Scott Hammond of Virginia, one brother Lucial Zadrozny, of Chapel Hill, NC, and several nieces and nephews.
