Nora P. Girard
MERIDEN Nora. P. Girard, 91, of Meriden died Thursday, Nov. 6, 1998, at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. She was the wife of the late Valmore J. Girard Sr.
Born Nov. 22, 1907, in Moro Plantation, Maine, she was a resident of Meriden since 1930. She was employed at International Silver Co. She spent most of her life as a housewife. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church.
She is survived by a son, Col. (Ret.) Valmore J. Girard Jr. of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a daughter, Brenda L. Brunell of Meriden; four grandchildren; four great-great granddaughters; two sisters, Fern Parks and Florence Ervin of New Gloster, Maine; and several nieces and nephews.
Private service and burial arrangements were made under the direction of Leo P. Gallagher and Son Funeral Home, Stamford.

Monte R. Parisi
NORWALK Monte R. Parisi, 48, husband of Robin (Gallup) Parisi of Meriden, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 1998, at Norwalk Hospital. He was the son of Samuel C. and Claire Parisi of South Norwalk.
Born March 5, 1950, in Norwalk, he graduated from Central Catholic High School, class of 1968. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a self-employed welder.
He is survived by three sons, Monte R. Parisi Jr., Samuel Parisi and Adam Parisi, all of Norwalk; two daughters, Angela Parisi of Meriden and Katie Parisi of Norwalk; two sisters, Dulcie Tamburri of Naugatuck and Marcie Roy of Wilton; and his companion, Nancy Cyr of Norwalk; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
At the family's request, there will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be in St. John's Cemetery, Norwalk, on Friday, Nov. 13, at 11 a.m. If desired, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. The Raymond Funeral Home Inc., 5 E. Wall St., Norwalk, is in charge of arrangements.

Winifred Schultz
WALLINGFORD Winifred (Winnie) Wadsworth Schultz, 88, of 879 Church St., Yalesville, formerly of Hobe Sound, Fla., died Monday, Nov. 9, 1998, under the caring hands of Connecticut Hospice in Branford. Winnie was the widow of William F. Wadsworth (1971) and Alan Schultz (1996).
She was born on March 28, 1910, in Brown City, Mich., a daughter of the late Nathan and Minnie Kitchen Sutton.
She was a graduate of the Detroit Business School. Her life consisted of being a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Winnie was a member of the Hobe Sound Florida Methodist Church in Hobe Sound, where she resided for 25 years.
She is survived by two sons, William Wadsworth and Dr. Barry Wadsworth, both of Wallingford; and a daughter, Marjorie Burke of Southington. She was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Edwin Wadsworth in 1994.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. If friends so desire, gifts in her memory may be sent to the Connecticut Hospice, 61 Burban Road, Branford, CT 06405. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford, is in charge of the arrangements.

Margaret Blatchley
CAPE CORAL, Fla. Margaret Notar Blatchley, formerly of Wallingford, died Nov. 5, 1998, at her home in Cape Coral.
She is survived by a son, Frederick; a grandson, Robert; and a great-granddaughter, Catlin, all of Florida; a brother, John Notar; and brother-in-law, Philip Sittnick, both of Wallingford.
Burial was in Naples, Fla.

Lellabelle S. Chamberlain
MERIDEN Lellabelle S. Chamberlain, 85, of 196 Brownstone Ridge, wife of the late Lynn P. Chamberlain, died late Saturday, Nov. 7, 1998, at MidState Medical Center in Meriden.
Born in Chicago on Sept. 14, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Mabel (Garlick) Stevens and had lived in Meriden for most of her life. She attended Meriden public schools and was a graduate of Fegan School of Dramatic Art in New York City, class of 1936. Mrs. Chamberlain was employed by New Departure, Hyatt Bearing Division of General Motors from 1942 until 1982, retiring after 40 years. She was a member of the First Congregational Church.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Lewis Chamberlain of East Hampton and Steven and Judy Chamberlain of Torrance, Calif.; four grandchildren, Beverly Chamberlain of Pace, Fla., Charlotte Chamberlain of Playa-del-Rey, Calif., Michael Chamberlain of Rodondo Beach, Calif. and Randy Chamberlain of Torrance, Calif.; one great-grandson, Alex Reel of Pace, Fla. She is also survived by her companion, Donna Sobczyk of New Britain.
The funeral will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden, with the Rev. Meredith Jeffers of First Congregational Church officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Meriden. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, Nov. 12, from 4 to 8 p.m.

Margaret E. Huskes
WALLINGFORD Margaret Elizabeth Vass Huskes, 86, of Silver Pond Apartments, 656 Center St., where she had many friends, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1998, at MidState Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Arthur Robert Huskes.
Mrs. Huskes was born in Perth Amboy, N.J., Sept. 2, 1912, a daughter of the late Steven and Elizabeth Bodnar Vass. She moved to Connecticut as a small child and lived her remaining 85 years as a proud Wallingford resident. She had been a cosmetics buyer for Stars Department Store for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the First Congregational Church and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Mizpah Chapter. She was also an active member of the Silver Pond Committee.
Margaret is survived by her son, Arthur R. Huskes II and his fiancee, Carol Huskes, of Wallingford; five grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Weems and her husband, James, of Higganum, Melanie Ann Huskes of Wallingford, Sharon Knox of Califon, N.J., Peter A. Huskes II of New York City and Sandra Longie of Devils Lake, N.D.; three great-grandchildren, including one very special to her, Dylan Knox of Califon, N.J.; two brothers, Maynard Vass of Wallingford and Steven Vass of Flagler Beach, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews, including two special nieces, Marilyn Riso and Helen Kruy, both of Wallingford. She was predeceased by a son, Peter A. Huskes and a sister, Matilda Magyar.
Her family will receive relatives and friends at the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St., Ext., Wallingford, Wednesday (THIS EVENING) from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held during the visiting hours at 7 p.m. The Rev. Dean O. Warburton, pastor of the First Congregational Church will officiate. Interment will be private in Center Street Cemetery. Gifts in her memory may be sent to the First Congregational Church, 23 S. Main St., Wallingford, CT 06492.

Francis R. Jones
ROCKY HILL Francis R. "Frank" Jones, 81, of West Street, formerly of Center St., Wallingford and New Haven, died Monday, Sept. 28, 1998 in the Veterans Home and Hospital, Rocky Hill. He was the husband of the late Mary Ellen Farrington Jones.
Born in New Haven, Dec. 26, 1916, he was the last of four children to the late Richard M. and Sibine Egan Jones. He had been a New Haven resident before moving to Rocky Hill in 1995. He had been the night foreman of the printing and composing department of the former New Haven Journal-Courier for 35 years until his retirement in 1975.
A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he had served in the European Campaign from 1942 to 1945, first in Liverpool, England, in the 30th Infantry Division, which was the 2nd wave of the D-Day Invasion in Southern France. He later trained in military intelligence at England's West Point in Shreverton and formed invasion teams for France, San Tropez and Normandy. He later served in North Africa and was assigned to the 45th Division and was one of the first American soldiers to liberate the town of Dachau and witness first hand the horrors of the infamous death camp in April 1945. He had been a parishioner and extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist at St. Claire's Church in East Haven and later Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 47 of New Haven and had been a member of the New Haven Irish-American Gaelic and football Club and the Shelton End Football Club. He was also a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Elks Lodge. He was a friend of Bill W.
Mr. Johns is survived by his nieces, Linda and Virginia Jones of Topsfield, Mass., MaryLee Rydzewski of Cheshire and Susan Crowder of McPherson, Kan.; and his nephews, Richard Jones of Westerly, R.I., Thomas Jones of Hamden, Robert Jones of Somerville, Mass. He was predeceased by a sister, Katherine Jones and two brothers, William Jones and Richard Jones.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian burial, Friday, Nov. 13, 1998, at 10:30 a.m. in Most Holy Trinity Church. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Loretta A. Palmieri
SOUTHINGTON Loretta A. (Meola) Palmieri, 61, of 161 Mill St., left this world for a better place on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1998, after fighting a courageous battle against renal failure. She was the loving wife of Lewis S. Palmieri.
Born April 24, 1936, in Southington, she was a daughter of the late Vincenzo (James) and Katherine (Carbone) Meola. Mrs. Palmieri was a member of the New Britain General Hospital Dialysis Support Group. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church, a past member of St. Thomas Parish Council, a religious instructor for St. Thomas Church and also worked on the 100th anniversary celebration for St. Thomas Church. She was a volunteer at West Ridge School, Western Little League for over 25 years and for Southington Youth Soccer League. For these efforts, she and her husband, Lew, received the 53rd Unico Gold Medal Award in 1998. Loretta touched many peoples lives and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Lew and daughter-in-law, Angie Palmieri, Bill and daughter-in-law, Chris Palmieri; a daughter, Katherine-Mary Palmieri and Mark Bridschge; a brother, William Meola and sister-in-law, Diane, all of Southington; three loving grandchildren, Anthony, Zakary and Jacob, who she gave and passed on her zest for life through her last few years of difficult times; her father and mother-in-law, Peter and Mary Palmieri; and sister-in-law, Jean Meola; a special friend, Ron Puckett; and many friends, cousins, nieces and nephews, along with these special individuals, Kruizer, Bear, Peppy and Butterscotch. She was predeceased by a brother, James Meola.
The funeral will be held Friday at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 North Main St., Southington, to St. Thomas Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the New Britain General Hospital Dialysis Unit, 100 Grand St., New Britain, CT 06052.

Mary Wolfer
NEW BRITAIN Mary O'Sullivan Wolfer, 81, of Kensington Avenue, died Monday Nov. 9, 1998, at New Britain General Hospital.
Mary was born in New Britain and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Nellie (Lynch) O'Sullivan. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church and their Rosary Guild. Mary also attended St. Joseph's School and graduated from New Britain High School, class of 1935.
Mary is survived by her husband, Raymond J. Wolfer of New Britain; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Thomas F. and Annmarie Wolfer of Wallingford, Dennis J. and Christopher J. Wolfer, both of New Britain; a daughter and son-in-law, Sheila M. and Gene Allocca of Kensington; five grandchildren, Andrew, Stephen and Daniel Wolfer and Michael and Elizabeth Allocca.
The funeral rites will be held Friday, Nov. 13, at 9 a.m. from the Paul A Shaker/Farmingdale Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, followed by a Liturgy of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, South Main St., New Britain. Final resting place will be in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker/Farmingdale Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Directions to the funeral home are: take I-84 east or west to exit 37 (Fienemann Road), right off exit, funeral home one mile down on right. Parking in rear.
