Peter A. DeBartolo

Peter A. DeBartolo, a resident of Middleburgh, N.Y., died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, N.Y. He was 73.

He died of congestive heart failure, according to his family.

Born April 9, 1927, in Tarrytown, N.Y., he was a son of the late Marco and Rose DeBartolo.

Mr. DeBartolo lived in Middleburgh since 1990 after moving from Concord, N.H., where he worked in the printing department of Chubb Life American Insurance Co. for 11 years.

He owned the Andover Meadow Inn in Andover, N.H., for eight years. He was a compositor for City News Printing Corp. in Stamford for 25 years.

Mr. DeBartolo was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Middleburgh, where he served on various committees. He was treasurer of the Aid Association for Lutherans and coordinator for the American Bible Society. He was a literacy volunteer in Schoharie, N.Y.

Mr. DeBartolo joined the Andover Lions Club in 1970 and transferred his membership to the Middleburgh-Schoharie Valley Lions Club, where he was Lion of the Year in 1992-93. He received the Lion of the Year award from District 20Y2 in 1995-96.

He received the Robert J. Uplinger Distinguished Service Award from the New York and Bermuda Lions Foundation in 1996 for service to his community during the flood relief program.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Perveiler DeBartolo of Middleburgh; a daughter, Donna Kaufmann of Pensacola, Fla.; a son, the Rev. Peter DeBartolo of Middleburgh; three sisters, Ann Boccuzzi, Marie DellaCorte and Helen Alter, all of Stamford; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Frank DeBartolo.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2001 at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 63 River St., Middleburgh.

A funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 74 Main St., Middleburgh.

Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, in Fairfield Memorial Park in Stamford.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 74 Main St., Middleburgh, NY 12122.

Catherine G. Corridon

Catherine G. Corridon, a lifelong Norwalk resident, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2001 at Norwalk Hospital. She was 65.

She died of cancer, according to her family.

Born Nov. 19, 1935, in Norwalk, she was a daughter of the late Charles L. Griffin and Josephine F. Griffin.

Mrs. Corridon was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Stamford and St. Vincent's School of Nursing in New York City. She earned a bachelor of science degree from Columbia University.

She was a nursing supervisor in the pediatric department at Norwalk Hospital and later was an instructor in that field in the Norwalk Hospital School of Nursing.

Mrs. Corridon was active in the New Voices Club in the area and was a dedicated worker for the American Cancer Society and the Cancer Ball fund-raising event. She served on the St. Jerome's and St. Thomas the Apostle school boards and was a member of Shore and Country Club in Norwalk.

She is survived by her husband, James D. Corridon of Norwalk; four sons, Timothy C. Corridon, Patrick R. Corridon, Daniel F. Corridon, all of Norwalk, and James D. Corridon of San Diego; a sister, Joanne Griffin of Norwalk; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001 at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., Norwalk.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Ave., Norwalk.

Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery on Richards Avenue in Norwalk.

Memorial donations may be made to the Norwalk Hospital Foundation and Whittingham Cancer Center, both c/o of the Norwalk Hospital Foundation Office, 34 Maple St., Norwalk CT 06856.

Florence Albrizio,

a lifelong resident of Greenwich, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001 at The Nathaniel Witherell nursing home in Greenwich. She was 78.

She died of progressive supranuclear palsy, according to her family.

Born Feb. 25, 1922, in Greenwich, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Zuzanna Grabarz Pietruszka.

During the past few years, Mrs. Albrizio had taken up painting at the Greenwich Adult Day Care Center. Throughout her life, she had enjoyed bowling, traveling and music. She also worked in the town clerk's office for many years.

She is survived by three daughters, Victoria Albrizio of Danielson, Margaret Albrizio of Seattle and Diane Canby of San Jose, Calif.; four sisters, Eleanor Chmelewski of Royersford, Pa., Bertha Dolce of Stamford, Evelyn Calabro of Hamden and Jean Pennella of Greenwich; a brother, Henry Pietruszka of Greenwich; and two granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her former husband, Joseph Albrizio; a brother, John Pietruszka; and a sister, Helen Palkin.

Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001 at Castiglione Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave., Greenwich.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001 at Sacred Heart Church in Byram. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, North Street, Greenwich.

Memorial donations may be made to Greenwich Adult Day Care Center, 70 Parsonage Road, Greenwich CT 06830.

Louis D'Andrea,

a lifelong resident of the Riverside section of Greenwich, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001 at The Nathaniel Witherell Home in Greenwich. He was 85.

He died of natural causes, according to his family.

Born Feb. 27, 1916, in Greenwich, he was a son of the late Lorenzo and Mary D'Andrea.

He is survived by a brother, Joseph D'Andrea of Riverside; five sisters, Emma Allegrine, Carmela D'Andrea and Nora Demilia, all of Riverside, and Catherine Cavalier and Angelina Sarni, both of Stamford; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001 at Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001 at St. Catherine of Sienna Church, 8 Riverside Ave., Riverside.

Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Greenwich.

Armond (Turk) J. Renzulli

Armond (Turk) J. Renzulli, a lifelong Norwalk resident, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001 at Norwalk Hospital. He was 81.

Adam M. Lawson of Bridgeport,

a former Stamford resident, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2001 at Bridgeport Health Care Center. He was 88.

He died of natural causes, according to his family.

Born May 17, 1912, in Scotland, he was a son of the late Alexander and Martha Muir Lawson.

Mr. Lawson was a grocer for Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. He was a member of the Clan McKenzie Club of Stamford and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Lawson of Stamford and Richard A. Lawson of Sedro Woolley, Wash.; a sister, Janet Christie of Monroe; a grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Olive Jean Thompson Lawson; and a brother, Robert Lawson.

There are no calling hours.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001 at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery, Oaklawn Avenue, Stamford.

Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, is handling arrangements.

John Edward Alexander Kelly,

a Stamford resident, died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001 at the Tandet Center for Continuing Care in Stamford. He was 83.

He died of natural causes, according to his family.

Born March 26, 1917, in Matthews County, Va., he was a son of the late James Handy Kelly and Essie Allen Kelly.

Mr. Kelly was a member of Union Baptist Church in Stamford.

He was employed by Suburban Awning Co. for more than 25 years. He later entered into a partnership with Rye Awning Co. and became a representative for Port Chester Shade and Awning. He was retired from Hathaway, Reiser and Raymond of Stamford.

Mr. Kelly sang for St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Greenwich and was a member of the Men's Chorus and Senior Choir of the First Baptist Church of Greenwich.

He is survived by his wife, Roxana Greene Kelly of Stamford; two sons, John Kelly Jr. of Hampton, Va., and Douglas Kelly of Seattle; two daughters, Essie Armistead of Stamford and Roxana Alexander of New Castle, Del.; a brother, Samuel Kelly of Vancouver, British Columbia; 19 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by three brothers, William Kelly, James Kelly and Robert Kelly; and four sons, George Kelly, William Kelly, James Kelly and Ronald Kelly.

Calling hours will be 11 a.m. to noon Friday, Feb. 9, 2001 at Union Baptist Church, 805 Newfield Ave., Stamford.

A funeral service will follow at noon, at the church. The Rev. Dr. Robert W. Perry will officiate.

Burial will follow in Fairfield Memorial Park in Stamford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Scholarship Fund, 10 Northfield St., Greenwich, CT 06830; or The Capital Stewardship Campaign of the Union Baptist Church, 805 Newfield Ave., Stamford, CT 06905.

Downer Funeral Home, 31 Stillwater Ave., Stamford, is handling arrangements.
