Ralph F. Ferrucci
SOUTHINGTON - Ralph F. Ferrucci, 97, formerly of 85 Berlin Ave., died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, at Southington Care Center. He was the husband of the late Edna (Childs) Ferrucci.
Born in Southington, he was the son of the late Francesco and Rose (Vetere) Ferrucci. He started work at the Southington Post Office in 1921 as a substitute and eventually became a regular and worked up to assistant postmaster after 50 years of service. He was a 50-year member of the Southington Grange, he was a past master and also secretary for many years. He was a member of the national and state Granges. He was a member of the Red Man Wonx Tribe No. 28, the 4th degree Knights of Columbus, the Southington Elks Lodge, the Calendar House and the Y Seniors.
He is survived by a daughter, Mary Ellen Griffith-Bossom and her husband, Edward of Scarborough, Maine; three brothers, Francis Ferrucci and William Ferrucci, both of Southington, and Arthur Ferrucci of New York City; a sister, Louise Eggers of Kew Gardens, N.Y.; two grandchildren, Chris and his wife, Lynda Griffith of Scarborough, Maine, and Shannon Griffith of Meriden; three great-grandchildren, Reid, Ben and Jay Griffith; a special friend, Olive Snow of New Britain; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters.
The funeral will be held Monday at 9:45 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., to St. Thomas Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery. Roger P. Gildert
SOUTHINGTON - Roger P. Gildert, 63, of 466 Spring St., died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, at Bradley Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Donna Gildert.
Born Sept. 16, 1935, in Presque Isle, Maine, he was the son of Helen (Brown) Gildert of New Britain and the late Arthur Gildert. He had retired from Papa's Dodge of New Britain.
Besides his mother he is survived by three daughters, Tanya, and her husband, Kenneth Hammick of Bristol, Sandra and her husband, Howard Smagler of Plainville, and Tina Hammock of Bristol; a brother, Arthur Gildert Jr. of Plainville; two sisters, Joyce Pendell of Cromwell and Pauline Giguere of Massachusetts; three grandchildren, Rachel Lenzi, Melissa and Samantha Hammick; a special friend, Helen Topa, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Ricki A. Gildert, and a brother, Cecile Gildert.
A service will be held Sunday at 5 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Friends and family are invited to a graveside service at Oak Hill Cemetery

CROMWELL - Anne (Cannatelli) Ziemba Hamelin, 76, of Cromwell, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999.
She was born in Boston, Mass., the daughter of the late Francesco and Maria Rosa (Papandrea) Cannatelli. Anne was the supervising cook and dietitian at Ridgeview Health Care Center in Cromwell, and prior to that at Westfield Care and Rehab Center in Meriden. Previous to working at the convalescent homes, Anne was the owner and operator of Anne's Catering Service and Anne's Sandwich Shop in Meriden. She was well known for her ability to prepare wonderful food.
Anne is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, David Ziemba and Mary Riley of Wellfleet, Mass., and Mark and Ricki Ann Ziemba of Ava, N.Y.; seven grandchildren, Jared, Sadie, Jennifer, Matthew, David E., Michael T. and Zachary C. Ziemba; a great-grandchild, Austin Ziemba; many beloved nieces and nephews, and a lifelong friend, Vera Glazewski. She was predeceased by two husbands, Theodore T. Ziemba and James P. Hamelin; a sister and brother-in-law, Edith and Salvatore Barbagallo, and three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Salvatore Cannatelli, Anthony and Ida Cannatelli and Joseph P. and Vivian Cannatelli.
Funeral services will leave Monday at 11 a.m. from Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St., Rocky Hill, followed by a Mass of Christian burial 11:30 a.m. at St. John Church in Cromwell. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park. Calling hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Dorothy D. Trzciensky
MERIDEN - Dorothy D. Kloehn Butler Trzciensky, 73, of Hanover Towers, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, at MidState Medical Center. She was the wife of the late William Trzciensky.
Mrs. Trzciensky was born in Staten Island, N.Y., Oct. 3, 1925, and had resided in Wallingford for many years until moving to Meriden 15 years ago.
She is survived by her three sons and two daughters-in-law, William E. and Suzanne Butler of Wallingford, James F. Butler of Idaho, and Dennis M. and Barbara Butler of Branford; her eight grandchildren, Brian, Deborah, Christopher, Joshua, Korina, Meghan, Courtney, and Colleen Butler; a great-grandchild; and two sisters, Ruth Scozzari of Staten Island, and Martha Mitchell of Hobe Sound, Fla.
Her family will receive relatives and friends at The Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St., Yalesville section of Wallingford, Monday from 5 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. when the funeral cortege will proceed from The Yalesville Funeral Home, to Our Lady of Fatima Church, Yalesville, where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden. Audrey E. Zeek
HAMDEN -Mrs. Audrey Elaine Saviteer Zeek, 71, of 89 Centerbrook Road, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, surrounded by her family, in the Hospital of St. Raphael, New Haven, after a brief illness. She was the wife of Raymond Robert Zeek Sr.
Born in Hartford, Dec. 19, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Lester and Alice Maloney Saviteer. Prior to her retirement in 1993, Mrs. Zeek worked for the Hospital of St. Raphael as a transcriber in the medical records department for 15 years. Mrs. Zeek was a resident of Hamden all of her life.
Besides her husband, she is survived by daughters, Mrs. Vincent (Leslie) Terrone of New Haven, Mrs. Mark (Claire) Pilon and Mrs. Paul (Karen) O'Connor, both of Hamden, and Mrs. David (Elaine) O'Connor of Wallingford; and sons, Raymond R. Zeek Jr. and Peter L. Zeek, both of Wallingford; a sister, Mrs. Doris Cook of Redland, Calif.; and 11 grandchildren.

Mary T. Digiulio
PLAINVILLE — Mary T. Digiulio, 80, of Franklin Avenue, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999, at the Hospital for Special Care, New Britain, after a long illness.
Born and raised in Wallingford, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Katherine Cholefsky. Mrs. Digiulio graduated from high school in Wallingford and Keuka College in Keuka Park, N.Y. She was employed as a dietician by Meriden Hospital, the Veterans Memorial Hospital in Meriden, and, for 33 years, the Plainville Board of Education.
Mrs. Digiulio is survived by a daughter, Katherine, of Plainville; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Digiulo, and two brothers, Michael and John Cholefsky.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian burial, at 10 a.m. at St. Jerome's Church, New Britain. Dorothy N. Hull
WALLINGFORD — Dorothy Noble Fisher Hull, 84, of Nicholas Road, Yalesville section of Wallingford, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999, at the Coccomo Memorial Health Care Center in Meriden. She was the devoted and beloved wife of the late Jesse Conrad Hull. She surrendered her spirit after a long and courageous struggle against illness.
A proud resident of Yalesville for the past 39 years, she was born in Albany, N.Y., Aug. 15, 1914, a daughter of the late Michael Frederick and Agnes Noble Burke Fisher. She was a graduate with honors from the Mildred Elley Business College.
She is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline D. Hull, Marcia G. Speyers and her fiance, Jan Waszkiewicz, all of Yalesville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael G. and Janice Hull of Wardsboro, Vt., and James C. Hull of Yalesville; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, William and Martha Fisher of Port St. Lucy, Fla., and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five sisters and four brothers.

John A. Loin Sr.
WALLINGFORD — John A. Loin Sr., 87, of Washington Street, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999, at the MidState Medical Center in Meriden. He was the husband of 60 years of Stacia Pomian Loin.
Born in Wallingford, Feb. 15, 1911, he was the son of the late Antonio and Katherine Kapot Loin and was a lifelong resident. He was employed by the former International Silver Company for 52 years until his retirement; he was a member of the Polish National Alliance No. 519 of Wallingford, an avid fisherman, and a parishioner of SS. Peter & Paul Church in Wallingford.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Elizabeth Valiquette and Kathleen A. and Michael F. Murdock, all of Wallingford; a son and daughter-in-law, John A. Loen Jr. and Linda Michel-Loen of Guilford; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, a great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Nellie Wallace of Wallingford; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two daughters, Patricia Loin and Lorraine Valiquette; two sisters, Mary Carniani and Josephine Ferri, and a brother, Frank Loin.

Frederick J. Smithlock Jr.
WALLINGFORD — Frederick "Fred" John Smithlock Jr., 51, of 11 Ridge Road, died suddenly Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1999, at the MidState Memorial Medical Center, Meriden, after being stricken at home. He is the husband of Joanne Marie Selmont Smithlock.
Mr. Smithlock was born in Burlington, Vt., on July 28, 1947, a son of the late Frederick John and Rose Gesner Smithlock Sr. He had lived in New Haven for many years before moving to Wallingford in 1970.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Steve (Michele) Guerrette of Wallingford; two sons, Ronald E. Gould of West Haven and Frederick John Smithlock III of Wallingford; and a sister, Lila Smithlock of New Haven. He is also survived by six grandchildren. He is predeceased by a son, William Edward Smithlock.

Albert T. Fiorillo Sr.
SOUTHINGTON - Albert T. Fiorillo Sr., 46, of Las Vegas, Nev., died Jan. 30, 1999, in Las Vegas.
Born in Southington, he was the son of Agnes (Tews) Palmieri of Southington, and the late Albert Fiorillo.
Besides his mother, he is survived by two sons, Albert Fiorillo Jr. of New Britain, and Christopher Fiorillo of Milldale; two brothers, Robert Fiorillo of Vancouver, Wash., and Frank Fiorillo of Long Beach, Wash.; two sisters, Diane Panella of Plainville, and Carolyn Paleo of Southington; his former wife, Carol Sabatino; several uncles, aunts and cousins.
The funeral will be held on Monday at 11:30 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 10:15 a.m. until the time of the service. Donations may be made in his memory through the family.
