Louise Royal,

a Stamford resident for more than 45 years, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2000 at the Rosenthal Hospice Residence in Stamford. She was 76.

She died of liver failure, according to her death certificate.

Born Feb. 25, 1924, in Louisville, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Will and Louise Williams Smith.

She was predeceased by her husband, Van Royal.

There will be no calling hours.

Burial will be private.

Downer Funeral Home, 31 Stillwater Ave., Stamford, is handling the arrangements.

Michael Boshka,

a Stamford resident, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2000 at Richard L. Rosenthal Hospice Residence in Stamford. He was 87.

He died of complications from cancer, according to his family.

Born May 19, 1913, in Greenwich, he was a son of the late Wasil and Pauline Boshka.

Mr. Boshka graduated from Stamford High School in 1932. He and his brother, John Boshka Sr., operated Hill Top Diner, Springdale Bowling Alleys and Shippan Bowling Alleys. After his retirement in 1972, Mr. Boshka worked part time for the Avon theater on Bedford Street.

He was a basketball player who played with the Erskines in 1930-1931. Mr. Boshka was a member of the Boys Club of Stamford. He served on the Stamford Board of Taxation for seven years and was chairman for five years.

He is survived by his wife, Doris A. Boshka of Stamford; a son, Michael E. Boshka of Kalispell, Mont.; five grandchildren, a great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Boshka was predeceased by his daughter, Doreen A. Esposito; a grandchild, Kerry Ann Esposito; two sisters, Betty Komsta and Julia Caporale; and two brothers, James Boshka and John Boshka Sr.

There are no calling hours.

Burial is private.

Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, is handling arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made to the Richard L. Rosenthal Hospice Residence, 1029 Main St., Stamford, CT 06902.

Lutricia "Boo Boo" Martel Taylor-Glover,

a longtime Stamford resident, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2000 at the Richard L. Rosenthal Hospice Residence in Stamford. She was 35.

She died of cancer, according to her family.

Born Aug. 19, 1964, she was the daughter of Joseph and Grace Clemmons Taylor of Stamford.

She graduated from Stamford High School in 1982 and continued her education at Catherine Gibbs Business School in Norwalk. She was employed by Citibank as a mortgage originator.

She attended Community Tabernacle of Deliverance in Stamford.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her husband, John Glover of Stamford; a son, John Joseph Glover of Stamford; four brothers, Garry C. Clemmons Sr. and Ricky Taylor, both of Stamford, Joseph Taylor Jr. of Waterbury and Donald M. Taylor of Atlanta; three sisters, Angela R. Housey, Della L. Morgan and Wanda "Lisa" Taylor, all of Stamford; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000 at Downer Funeral Home Inc., 31 Stillwater Ave., Stamford.

A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at Community Tabernacle of Deliverance, 196 Selleck St., Stamford. Apostle Michael Desmore will preside.

Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Stamford.

Maizie Genovese Lionetti,

a lifelong Stamford resident, died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2000 at Courtland Gardens Health Center in Stamford. She was 95.

She died of natural causes, according to her family.

Born July 27, 1905, in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Antonio Vito and Maria Sabia Genovese.

Mrs. Lionetti operated Genovese Clothing & Shoe Store on Stamford's West Side for many years. She also helped her late husband operate his business, working as an office manager for Michael Lionetti Construction Co. of Stamford.

Mrs. Lionetti was a 50-year member of the Rosary Society at Sacred Heart Church in Stamford.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Lionetti was predeceased by her husband, Michael A. Lionetti; a brother, William Genovese; and five sisters, Mariam Scalzi, Margaret Sabia, Nettie Carlucci, Isabelle Carlo and Carmella Cantore.

Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000 at Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford.

A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:50 a.m. Monday, Aug. 7, and proceed to Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to charity.

Mary Cleff,

a former Stamford resident, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2000 at the Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield. She was 94.

She died of natural causes, according to her family.

Born April 15, 1906, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Rifka Zingler.

Mrs. Cleff was a homemaker.

She was survived by her son, Howard Cleff of Henderson, Nev., formerly of Stamford; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Martin Cleff, and her sons, Raymond and Seymour Cleff.

There will be no calling hours.

A graveside ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000 at Montefiore Cemetery in Jenkintown, Pa.

Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer St., Stamford, is handling the arrangements.

Daniel Vincent Marino,

a longtime Greenwich resident, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2000 in Stamford. He was 58.

He died of heart failure, according to his family.

Born April 16, 1942, in Port Chester, N.Y., he was a son of Julia DeBerti Marino of Greenwich and the late Daniel B. Marino.

He graduated from Greenwich High School and received an associate's degree from Norwalk Community College.

Mr. Marino owned J & D Services, a tool and lamp repair business in Stamford.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Joan Haug Marino of Greenwich; a daughter, Danielle McFadden of Port Chester; a son, Jason Marino of Greenwich; and a brother, Gary Marino of Danbury.

He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Marino.

Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2000 at the Castiglione Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave., Greenwich.

A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000 at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Greenwich.

Memorial donations may be made in to American Red Cross, 231 E. Putnam Ave., Greenwich, CT 06830.
