David A. Reichman,

David A. Reichman, 70, of Whitehouse Beach, Millsboro, formerly of Conshohocken, Pa., passed away Saturday, April 21, 2007, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes.
David was a people person who made many friends while delivering bread for Stroehmann Bros. Bakery in the area of Bucks County, Pa., and while working at the Wawa in Millsboro.
He had a great love for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
David had a fondness for woodworking, fishing and riding his golf cart.
He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps after the Korean Conflict and was active in the American Legion Post 28, Longneck.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Leah (Little) Reichman.
He is survived by his children, Patricia Schultheiss and her husband Michael, Norman Clark and his wife Helen, Kimberly Ann Keinath and her husband the Rev. Thomas and Stephen H. Reichman and his wife Tracey; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and another great-grandchild on the way.
Services were held in Kirk & Nice Inc. Funeral Home, Plymouth Meeting, Pa., with interment in the George Washington Memorial Park.

Lauren M. McGee,

Lauren M. McGee, 48, of New Castle, died tragically Thursday, April 19, 2007. An uncontrollable fire took her life in the home she loved.
Born in Wilmington Jan. 22, 1959, Lauren was a graduate of Delcastle High School and attended Goldey-Beacom College. She was currently employed as a senior legal secretary with the Delaware Department of Justice.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph J. Nedwick Jr.
She is survived by her husband, William McGee of Elsmere, Md.; two children, Rian McGee and her companion Zack Rose of Cleveland, OH, and Kevin McGee of New Castle and Elsmere, who survived the fire; mother and stepfather, Barbara A. Henderson Harkins and Frank Harkins of Rehoboth Beach; two sisters, Connie Thompson of Frederick, Md. and Barbara Moreno of Townsend; two aunts, Debra August and Dorothy Broadwater; an uncle, Jimmy Nedwick; three great-aunts; three nephews, Ian, John and Josh; two nieces, Erica and Kaitlynn; cousins; and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 25, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Pkwy., New Castle, where friends may call after 5 p.m.
Lauren was an amazing woman whose outgoing, caring, strong and loyal personality will be missed by all.

Paul J. McLaughlin Sr.,

Paul James “Gussy” McLaughlin Sr., 51, of Kennett Square, Pa., went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 19, 2007, at home surrounded by his loving family after a lengthy illness.
Along with his family, friends and extended church family, Gussy will be dearly missed by everyone. Gussy was born on Aug. 10, 1955, to Thomas M. McLaughlin and the late Geraldine D. McLaughlin.
He was a graduate of Kennett High School in 1973 and a 1975 graduate of Delaware Technical Institute. Paul was a very talented contract painter and his most recent position was with the Presbyterian Church of Kennett Square. Gussy had a very competitive personality and loved watching all sports events, especially the Eagles, Sixers, Phillies and Notre Dame. His most important love, though, was his family and the very special times he spent with all of them.
Gussy was predeceased by his mother, Geraldine Davidson McLaughlin and his sister, Mary Catherine Rhoades.
Gussy is survived by his wife, Kris; son, P.J.; and daughter, Megan. He is also survived by his father, Thomas Sr. of Kennett Square, Pa., and brother Mickey and wife Dee McLaughlin of Hockessin; his mother and father-in-law, Bob and Betty Prengle of Stuart, Fla.; brother-in-law, Mark and wife Diane Prengle of Bear; sister-in-law, Becky Sugrue and husband Paul of Stuart, Fla.; sister-in-law, Karen Shaud of Dewey Beach; his nieces, Colleen Riley, Kelly Ruiz, Erin McLaughlin, Jenna Prengle, Erin Sugrue and Ginger Shaud.
His memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 24, at the Presbyterian Church of Kennett Square located at 211 S. Broad St., Kennett Square. Family visitation will be held from 9:30 - 11 a.m. Interment will be private.

Sara A. Taylor
retired nurse, veteran
Sara A. Taylor, 94, of Milford, died Friday, April 20, 2007, at Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford.
Miss Taylor was born on Nov. 19, 1912, in Felton, daughter of the late Arthur M. and Helen (Franklin) Taylor. After graduating from college with a teaching degree, Sara decided it was not her true calling and enrolled in the Wilmington College Nurses Training School where she graduated as a registered nurse in 1935.
She was a veteran of the United States Army serving in France and England during World War II in the Nursing Corps.
She worked in a small medical unit in a Wilmington hospital after graduation as a head nurse for six years and then was employed for several years with the Delaware State Public Health Department in Dover.
Miss Taylor then joined the U.S. Army where she completed an Army nurses training school specializing in war injuries and spent the next 11 months in service to her country overseas. Upon returning home, she accepted a nursing position with Wilmington Hospital in 1951 and remained there until retiring in 1973.
After returning to Milford, Sara spent several years as a nurse with Milford Memorial Hospital.
Miss Taylor enjoyed birds and nature and always spoke passionately of her experiences and the great rewards associated with them in her years of nursing.
She was a member of the Avenue United Methodist Church in Milford and the Mary Circle there.
In addition to her parents, Miss Taylor was preceded in death by two brothers, William A. Taylor and G. Franklin Taylor.
She is survived by two nieces, Christine T. Chappelle of Middletown and Nancy Poinsett of Lewes; and a nephew, John W. Taylor of Swansboro, N.C.
Services were held at Rogers Funeral Home, Milford. Burial was held in the Hollywood cemetery
in Harrington.

Marjorie T. (Rudnik) Majewski, 84, of Milton and Boynton Beach, Fla., passed away peacefully at her daughter’s residence surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, April 20, 2007.
She was born June 10, 1922, in Friday, April 20, 2007.
Detroit, daughter of the late Walter and Julia (Wasielewski) Rudnik.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Majewski was preceded in death by her husband, Richard John Majewski in 1988.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Marie Huerta and her husband, Dr. Sergio A. Huerta of Milton; three grandchildren, Daniel Richard Ruperto Huerta, Stephanie Anne Huerta and Michael Gregory Huerta, all of Milton; her sister, Lillian Smiley of New Baltimore, Mich.; her sister-in-law, Genevieve Cabaj of Sterling Heights, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.
All services are private.

Virginia Dare M. Gibbs,

Virginia Dare Mackey Gibbs, 84, of Georgetown died Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at her residence of natural causes.
She was a member of the Watch God Move Christian Center in Bridgeville and for many years she was employed as a production worker at Cargill Inc., in Harbeson. This company was the former Paramount Poultry Co.
Mrs. Gibbs was inducted into Paramount’s 25-year club for having completed 25 years of service prior to her retirement.
Mrs. Gibbs was a senior companion for the First State Community Action Program in Georgetown and through this program she provided home care assistance services to senior citizens within their own homes.
Mrs. Gibbs was a senior citizen who kept busy. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and fellowshipping with family and friends.
She was especially fond of family “fish fries” and for this she had earned the honor of being organizer, chef and supervisor.
She dedicated many years to feeding her neighbors and community members. In 1989, she was recognized by Mayor Bob Rickards and the town of Georgetown for her dedication and perseverance in developing and carrying out this project year after year.
This was an event that began with Mrs. Gibbs feeding approximately 50 persons, and at the last dinner she hosted, there were at least 500 in attendance. No one was ever turned away, and no one ever left hungry.
In addition to her parents, Preston and Jane Mackey, Mrs. Gibbs was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Gibbs Sr.; two daughters, Thelma Gibbs and Geraldine Gibbs; and a son, Thomas Gibbs.
She is survived by four sons, Nathaniel “Bone” Sr. and his wife Christina Gibbs of Dover, Harry “Little Jack” and his wife, Gwendolyn Gibbs of Harbeson, Charles and his wife Velma Gibbs of Sharptown and Matthew Gibbs of Georgetown; one daughter, Nancy Lee Gibbs of Georgetown; two brothers, Gilbert and his wife Estella Mackey and William and his wife Shirley Mackey of Millsboro; 28 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; one godchild, Smithie James of Harrington; a special and devoted friend throughout many years, Hilda Applewhite; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held Saturday, April 28, at the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Engelhard, N.C. Interment will be in the Mackey Family cemetery
in Engelhard, N.C.

Dustin Allan Hennessy, infant son of Keith and Paula (Dirks) Hennessy, of Milton, died Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes.
In addition to his parents, baby Dustin is survived by his sister Amber Marie Hennessy; paternal grandparents Shirley (Downs) and the late Melvin Hennessy of Lewes; his maternal grandparents, Peter R. Sr. and Dianne Dirks of Lewes; and his maternal great-grandmother, Ruth K. Henry of Lewes.
Services and burial will be private, with arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
Juno R. Ross,

Juno R. Ross, 83, of Rehoboth Beach and formerly of Roselle Park, N.J., passed away Thursday, April 12, 2007, at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa.
Mrs. Ross was born June 6, 1923, in Newark, N.J., daughter of the late George and Barbara (Gieger) Pallitto.
Mrs. Ross was a member of the Henlopen Senior Center and the Lewes Senior Center. She volunteered at Brandywine Assisted Living in Rehoboth. She attended St. Edmond’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards and going to casinos.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert T. Ross.
She is survived by her daughter Christine Mazur of Hackettstown, N.J.; sons Richard P. Beel of Roselle Park, N.J. and Gabby Beel of Rehoboth Beach; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 24, at St. Joseph The Carpenter Catholic Church, Roselle, N.J.

Paul Hudson,

Paul Hudson, 73, of Millsboro, passed away peacefully at home with his family on Sunday, April 15, 2007.
Mr. Hudson was son of the late Harlie W. and Edna M. Hudson of Millsboro. He graduated from Millsboro High School and retired in 1996 after 33 years with Suburban Propane/Collins & Ryan.
He enjoyed golfing, bowling, horseback riding with his grand-daughters and stock car racing with his grandson. His greatest joy was just spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Timothy Hudson, Osborne Hudson, Preston Hudson and Samuel Hudson. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Phyllis Annie Rudisill-Hudson; two daughters, Pamela Hudson Busby of Bridgeville; and Suzanne Lingo and her husband Donald C. Lingo Sr. of Millsboro; three grandchildren, Donald C. Lingo Jr., Heidi S. Lingo and Jaime L. Busby; a great-grandson, Donald C. Lingo III; two sisters, Ruth Ayres of Lewes and Lois White of Rehoboth; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call from 6 to 7 p.m.

Royce F. Stafford Sr.,

Royce Franklin Stafford Sr., 71, of Lewes, died Saturday, April 21, 2007, at Harrison House in Georgetown.
Mr. Stafford was born May 22, 1935, in Flintstone, Md., son of the late Charles A. and Evelyn Drake Stafford.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He was employed for 35 years in the telephone industry starting with Diamond State Telephone, which later became Bell Atlantic and is now Verizon, holding various positions, lastly as an installer. He retired in 1995.
Mr. Stafford loved to be around the ocean and enjoyed fishing and boating.
He held a professional clamming license and made fishing nets by hand.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 17 in Lewes and a member of AMVETS Post 2 in Millsboro.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Stafford was preceded in death by his first wife, Rose Marie Stafford; and a brother, Paul M. Stafford.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, JoAnne Stafford; two sons and daughters-in-law, Royce F. Jr. and Lisa Stafford of Atlantic, Va., and Michel and Sheila Clough of Harrington; six daughters and three sons-in-law, Robin and Rob Brown of Dover, Roxanne Ellers of Newark, Romane and David Creed of Angola, Sandra Bauer of Milford, Lori Clough of Frederica and Melissa and Mark Wilson of Clayton; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles W. and Sylvia Stafford of Middletown; and 16 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 26, at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave., Milford, where friends may call one hour prior. Burial will be private.
