F. Russell Ewing, age 95, of Elkton, MD died Sunday, November 10, 2002.
Born on April 30, 1907, in Providence, MD, he was the son of the late Fred and Emma Russell Ewing. A graduate of Elkton High School and Beacom College, Wilmington, DE he was a bookkeeper at Jessup and Moore Paper Co. and Walnut Valley Mill, both in Providence, MD, and Curtis Paper Co., Newark, DE, retiring in 1972. Mr. Ewing was a member of Rock Presbyterian Church, where he had served as elder and trustee and supervised the restoration of the historic Session House. Mr. Ewing was a past member of Rising Sun Senior Citizens and Elkton Seniors Bowling League and enjoyed researching family genealogy and vegetable and flower gardening.
Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Edna Brown Ewing; daughter and son-in-law, Ruth Anne and J. William Gambill, Elkton, MD; 3 grandchildren, Christine Bradfield, Rising Sun, MD, John R. Gambill, Perryville, MD, and Michael K. Gambill, Elkton, MD; 6 great grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild. Mr. Ewing was preceded in death by an infant son, F. Russell Ewing, Jr.; 3 brothers, D. Allan Ewing, W. Frank Ewing, and J. Horace Ewing.
Funeral service will be 11 am, Wednesday, November 13, at Rock Presbyterian Church, Fair Hill, MD, where family and friends may call after 10 am. Interment will be in Sharps cemetery, Fair Hill.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Rock Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, c/o Shirley Bradley, 268 Gallaher Rd., Elkton, MD 21921.

Elizabeth P. Long A native of Wilmington, DE passed away November 6, 2002 at Christiana Hospital following an automobile accident.
Mrs. Long was pre-deceased by her husband, Elmer, and son, Robert.
She was a loving mother and an active member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Wilmington.
A memorial service will be held next Saturday, November 23 at 2:00 pm at CHANDLER FUNERAL HOME, 2506 Concord Pike, Sharpley.

Kathleen Woodacre A resident at the Methodist Country House, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 5, 2002.
She was 97.
Mrs. Woodacre had lived most of her life in Blackburn, England until a few years after her husband died.
She then decided to immigrate to the United States, where she would be near her only son, grandsons and their families.
She entered the US in May of 1988 and moved into the Methodist Country House. Kathleen grew up as the oldest girl in a large family.
Because of the ill health of her mother, Kathleen, as a teenager, assumed responsibility for raising her younger siblings.
Her fondness for children continued throughout her life and she took great pleasure in being with her 2 grandsons and more recently, her 3 great grandchildren.
Kathleen is survived by her son, Ernest Woodacre and his wife, Margo; her grandsons, David and Stephen and his wife Kristen; and great grandchildren, Kathleen, Evan and John.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, November 16, 2002 in the Methodist Country House Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, Inc., 3515 Silverside Rd., Wilmington, DE 19810.

Dorothy Klein Age 88 of Meriden, died November 11, 2002.
A member of Adas Kodesch Shel Emeth Congregation and its sisterhood, and Deborah Heart and Lung Foundation. She was the loving wife for 64 years of Albert Klein; she will be missed by her devoted nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be 2:30 pm Wednesday, November 13, 2002 in the Jewish Community cemetery on Foulk Road. Shiva will be observed Wednesday evening at the resident of Barbara and Andrew Miller, 3 Stable Lane, Surrey Park, DE.

Honore S. "Nora" Chapman Mrs. Honore S. "Nora" Chapman, age 91, of Gilpin Hall, Wilmington, DE, died on Saturday, November 9, 2002 at her residence.
Born in Wilmington, Mrs. Chapman was the daughter of the late Mark A. and Anna G. (Plunkett) Shaw.
She worked as a secretary for ICI Americas in Wilmington until her retirement.
Her husband, Charles P. Chapman, died in 1969. She is survived by her son, W. Thomas Inderlied of Scottsdale, AZ; 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, November 14, 2002, at the chapel at Gilpin Hall, 1101 Gilpin Avenue, Wilmington, DE, 19806. Interment will be private.

Charles S. Davidson Age 92 of Seaford, DE died Monday, March 31, 2003 at Green Valley Terrace Nursing Home, Millsboro, DE.
Born in New Castle, DE in 1910, the son of the late Howard and Sarah Craig Davidson, he was a state agent for the Home Fire and Casualty Insurance Company for 39 yrs., working in Delaware, Georgia and Virginia. Charles graduated from the University of Delaware in 1933 where he was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. He was an avid gardener and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, the former Kathleen Venable; 1 daughter, Noel D. Boraski and her husband, Steve of Richmond, VA; 1 son, Charles Bruce Davidson and his wife, Mary Jane of Roanoke, VA; and 2 grandsons, Derek D. Klock and Michael S. Boraski.
A service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, April 5, 2003 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Front Street, Seaford, DE. Burial will be in Odd Fellows cemetery, Seaford, DE.

Wayne Douglas Lecompte Age 55 of Odessa, DE died Sunday, March 27, 2003 at Christiana Hospital.
Mr. Lecompte is survived by 2 sisters, Viola Saddler Naylor of Wilmington, DE and Reba Lecompte of Middletown, DE; 3 brothers, Alexander Lecompte of New Castle, DE, John Saddler of Middletown, DE and Simon Saddler of Newark, DE; a companion, Virginia Yellowdy of Odessa, DE; a devoted aunt, Louise Saddler of Odessa, DE; and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, April 5, 2003 at The House of Wright Mortuary, 48 E. Commerce Street, Smyrna, DE.

Michael J. Crouchelli, Jr., age 54 of Penn Acres South, New Castle, DE, passed away Tuesday afternoon, June 3, 2003 at home with his family.
Mr. Crouch-elli was born in Wilmington on September 12, 1948, son of the late Michael and Mary (Maguigan) Crouchelli. A self-employed painter, he began his trade at the age of 16 and worked in the business for 38 years. He enjoyed fishing and collecting antiques, and was an avid Elvis Presley fan. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Mr. Crouchelli is survived by his wife, Mary Lucchini Crouchelli; his sons, Joseph McDonough and his wife, Anna, of Ocean View, Joshua Crouch-elli and his wife, Laura, of Newark and Jonathan Crouchelli of Wilmington; his stepdaughters, Lea Lucchini and Andrea Lucchini, both of New Castle; his sisters, Mary McDonough of NJ and Kathleen Pickering and Eleanor Crouchelli, both of OH; and his 8 grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, 9th & DuPont Sts, on Saturday morning, June 7 at 10 am. Interment will follow in Cathedral cemetery. Family and friends may call at the CHARLES P. ARCARO FUNERAL HOME, 2309 Lancaster Ave. (opposite Cathedral cemetery) on Friday evening, June 6 from 7-9 pm.

Leonard D. Gillis Age 55 of Covington, VA and formerly of Hockessin, DE, passed away Monday, June 2, 2003.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Dorothy Gillis. Surviving are his wife, Polly P. Gillis; sons, Thomas E. Gillis and his wife, Alma Melina Gillis, and William J. Gillis; sister, Gayle Brown and her husband, David; a brother, Joseph W. Gillis; and grandchildren, Nicole and Cecilia Gillis.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 2033 Graves Road, Hockessin, DE on Saturday, June 7, 2003 at 2 pm.

Erma Eddy Talley Age 79 of 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, PA, formerly of Boothwyn, PA, died June 4, 2003 in New Holland, PA.
Mrs. Talley worked as a bookkeeper in Wilmington, DE.
She was a member of Faith Presbyterian Churchin Wilmington.
In addition to her husband, Clark "Dick" Talley, survivors include 1 daughter, Linda Garcia of Guatemala; 2 stepsons, Jeffrey Talley of Kenya, Africa and Glenn Talley of Tulsa, OK; 1 stepdaughter, Donna Talley of Seattle, WA; and 10 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 7 at 1 pm at Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Ave, New Holland, PA.

Louis Wirosloff Age 75 of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully in the presence of family on June 4, 2003 at 1 pm in his FL home.
Louis was born in Stephentown, NY to the late Bertha and Samuel Wirosloff. After growing up on a farm, he was offered a full scholarship to R.P.I. He retired after 43 years as an executive trainmaster with the B&O Railroad, in charge of freight operations from Philadelphia, PA to Baltimore, MD. Louis was a loving husband, father and grandfather whose hobbies included volunteer work with youth, sports and travel. He was also a great leader of men, greatly respected and a wonderful human being who will truly be missed.
Louis is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Claire Wirosloff; his sons, Michael, Scott and Jeffrey; his father-in-law, Irving Kreuger; his daughters-in-law, Malinda and Elizabeth; granddaughters, Meredith and Michelle; and grandson, Mitchell.
Family and friends are invited to attend Mr. Wirosloff's memorial service at 2:30 pm on Monday, June 9 at the SCHOENBERG MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 519 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington with interment in the Jewish Community cemetery on Foulk Rd. Shiva details will be announced later.

Michael Ryan Fitzpatrick Age 19 of Wilmington, DE, beloved son of Terry and Jane Fitzpatrick and the loving brother of Susan Fitzpatrick, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 4, 2003.
Michael was a 2002 graduate of St. Elizabeth High School, where he was active in the senior youth group. Michael loved playing basketball, skiing, skateboarding, and most of all, spending time with his friends.
Michael is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Ann K. Lemon; and his paternal grandmother, Helen M. Fitzpatrick, both of Wilmington. Michael will be deeply missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and his many close friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth's Church, Cedar & S. Clayton Sts., Wilmington on Saturday, June 7th at 11:30 am, where friends may call at the church after 10 am. Burial will be in Cathedral cemetery.
