Wendy Marie Willey, 16, of Georgetown, died Monday, Sept. 27, 2004, at Christiana Medical Center, Wilmington.
Wendy was born in Seaford Nov. 5, 1987 and was an 11th grade student at Sussex Central High School in Georgetown. She was baptized and attended Our lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Seaford. A typical teenager, she enjoyed shopping, tanning and eating at Harvest Diner. She enjoyed music and especially liked Tim McGraw. Her sisters recall how she loved watching Dawsons Creek and going on long walks with them to talk about all kids of things,. She also enjoyed writing poems. She was involved with Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
She is survived by her father and mother, Randy and Christy Willey and sisters Paige Willey and Brittany Willey, with whom she lived in Georgetown; her mother Lynda Young and siblings Sherrie Young, Richard Truitt, Cierra Truitt and Brandon Truitt, all of Seaford; paternal grandmother Annie Willey of Bridgeville; paternal grandfather Alfred R. Willey of Seaford; maternal grandmother Linda Young of Bridgeville; maternal grandfather Donald Young of New Castle; maternal grandmother Joyce Dickerson of Georgetown; maternal grandfather William Dickerson of Salisbury, Md.; boyfriend Chad Wilson of Georgetown; godmothers, Dora Elizabeth Drubner of Boston, Mass and Patricia VanGelder of Bridgeville; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Oct. 1, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 532 E. Stein Hwy., Seaford, with burial in Cokesbury cemetery , Georgetown.

Alan Richards Parsons, 43, of Millsboro, died Sunday, Oct. 31 in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes.
Mr., Parsons was born in Lewes, son of Richard E. and Charlotte L. Parsons of Millsboro.
He was a roofer for Heathman Roofing Co. in Dagsboro.
He is survived by his parents, Richard E. and Charlotte L. Parsons of Millsboro; two sons, Alan Richard Parsons II of Long Neck and Jeffrey Parsons of Clarksville; two daughters, Heather Walker of Georgetown and June Marie Parsons of Clarksville; three brothers, Jefferey Parsons of Rehoboth Beach, Randy Parsons of Milford and Joseph Parsons of Gumboro; two sisters, Wanda Layton of Milton and Linda Milam of Georgetown; six grandchildren; and his ex-wife and best friend for 26 years, Janet Parsons of Clarksville.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Nov. 8, in Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington Street, Millsboro, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in Millsboro cemetery , Millsboro.

Thomas Evans Street,

Thomas Evans Street, 81, of Lewes, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, in the Harrison House, Georgetown.
Mr. Street was born near Lewes, the son of the late Joseph L. and Edwina Spencer Street.
He was a self-employed farmer. He was a member of the Georgetown Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Georgetown.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kerwin Street, in 2002.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty Harmon Street; a son, Joseph A. Street of Lewes; a brother, Joseph S. Street of New Jersey; a sister, Annie Eighmie of Washington, D.C.; and three grandchildren, Sara Jo Street, Jasmyn Nicole Street and Andrew Phillip Street.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, in Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington Street, Millsboro, where friends may call one hour earlier. Burial will be in the Israel Church cemetery , Lewes.
Frank L. Reed Jr.,
former Rehoboth Beach resident
Frank L. Reed Jr., of Estero, Fla. and formerly of Milford and Rehoboth Beach, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004 of prostate cancer.
Mr. Reed was born Nov. 5, 1936. He was a member of Cypress Lakes Presbyterian Church, Fort Myers.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; his sons, Frank L. Reed III of Gainesville, Fla., and Christopher Reed of Milford; a daughter and son-in-law, Carrie L. and Ronald Sigmon; and four grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, Victoria and Dalton, all of Roanoke, Fla.; his father, Frank Reed Sr. of Country Rest Home in Greenwood; his mother, Marguerite Reed of Lincoln; his two sisters and brothers-in-law Charlotte and Howard Kirsch of Lewes and Joan and Wilson Morgan of Lincoln; and his little girl, Marlies.
A celebration of his life was held at Cypress Lake Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 7, at Epworth United Methodist Church, 20 Baltimore Avenue, Rehoboth Beach. A luncheon in the fellowship hall will follow.

Debra Irene Miller,

Debra Irene Miller, 50, of Georgetown, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes.
Mrs. Miller was born Dec. 25. 1953, in Baltimore, daughter of the late John Henson and Betty Hammonds Stimmell of Seaford.
She worked for many years as a nurse’s aide for the CHEER Center, Georgetown.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Richard F. Miller Sr.; her children, Wanda Blizzard and her husband Robert of Ocean View, Richard Miller Jr. of Seaford and his fiancée Heaven Wisseman, and John Anthony Miller and his wife April of Seaford; sisters, Loretta Birchfield of Baltimore, Joann Henson of Bridgeville and Joyce Henson of Seaford; and brothers Greg Henson of Hartford County, Md. and William Henson of Bridgeville; five grandchildren; and her stepfather Tom Stimmell of Seaford.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 3, at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday. Burial will be private.

Rev. Dr. William L. Hiemstra,
retired pastor
Rev. Dr. William L. Hiemstra, 89, of Lewes, a minister of the Reformed Church of America, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, following a brief illness.
He was born in Clifton, N.J. in 1915 and was married to Thelma Ferrier of Wilmington in 1942. After moving to Lewes in 1980, Dr. Hiemstra was a part-time minister to the Frankford Presbyterian Church and the Rehoboth Presbyterian Church of Midway in Rehoboth Beach before finally retiring in 2002.
Before moving to Lewes, he served as minister to churches in Florida, Mississippi and New Jersey. He was a chaplain at psychiatric hospitals in Wyckoff, N.J. and Grand Rapids, Mich., retiring in 1980.
He graduated from Calvin Coolidge College in 1938 and from Westminster Theological Seminary in 1942, where he earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in theology. He also earned a master’s degree in history from the University of Mississippi and a doctorate in educational psychology from Michigan State University.
Dr. Hiemstra was a member of the Lewes Historical Society, and in 1981, contributed to plans for the celebration of the 350th anniversary of the founding of Lewes. He was also a member of Lewes Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Lois McKim of Charlottesville, Va. and her husband David; Paul, of Annapolis, Md.; and Marc of Bobcaygeon, Ontario and his wife Stella; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 7, at Lewes Presbyterian Church, Kings Highway, Lewes.
Contributions are suggested to the Lewes Presbyterian Church Sanctuary Restoration Fund or to a charity of choice.

Lillian R. Wagner,

Lillian R. Wagner, 86, of Westminster Village, Dover, died Saturday, Oct. 30, at Westminster Healthcare.
Mrs. Wagner was born in Snow Hill, Md. on January 29, 1918 to the late Curtis E. Riley and Nellie "Bromley" Riley.
Mrs. Wagner is survived by two nieces, Carole Mackes of Cherry Hill, N.J. and Susan Riley of El Segundo, Calif. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wagner was preceded in death by four sisters, Blanche Mackes, Grace Riley, Ruth Holder, and Nellie Riley; and three brothers Charles, Frank and Harold Riley.
Lillian worked as a public health nurse for more than 36 years working primarily in Kent and Sussex counties. The last position she held was as assistant director of nursing.
There will be graveside service at Whatcoat United Methodist cemetery , Snow Hill, Md., Monday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m.; the Rev. John Hornberger will officiate.
Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes.

Israel Castaneda-Martinez,

Jose Israel Castaneda-Martinez, 29, of Georgetown, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Laurel.
Castaneda-Martinez was born in Reynosa, Mexico, son of Jose E. and Gloria Martinez-Castaneda of Georgetown. He had resided in the Georgetown area for 28 years. He worked as a mechanic at the Perdue plant.
Castaneda-Martinez enjoyed spending time with his two daughters, listening to music and watching movies.
He is survived by his parents; 2 daughters, Tiana Castaneda of Long Neck and Illianny Castaneda of Laurel; his ex-wife, Mabell Castaneda; his companion, Rocio Mota-Marte; and an uncle, Ulises Castaneda.
Services were held in Short Funeral Services, Georgetown.
Burial was in Woodlawn cemetery , Millsboro.
Lloyd Judson Sawyer,

Lloyd Judson Sawyer, 75, of Dover, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital.
Sawyer was born Oct. 30, 1929, in Wallaceton, Va., son of the late Samuel P. and Essie Mae Sawyer.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
Sawyer worked as a supervisor for the Philadelphia Bulletin newspaper for 21 years. After retiring, he owned Sawyers General Store and Collectibles located at Spence’s Bazaar for 10 years. He then continued collecting antiques where he participated on Ebay.
He enjoyed being a family man, spending time with family and friends.
Sawyer was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jean Sawyer; 4 daughters and 3 sons-in-law, Cynthia and Robert Hartman of Dover, Cecelia and Gregory Mendonis of Jacksonville, N.C., Cassandra and Steven Parker of Lewes, and Catriana Scott and her boyfriend Brian McKinney of Wyoming; a sister, Marie Kulinksi of Elizabeth City, N.C., 7 grandchildren, Christopher Cinelli, Jennifer C. Miller, Pantelis Mendonis, Brandon Parker, Travis Parker, Victoria Scott, and Macy Scott; and 2 great-grandchildren Nicholas Cinelli and Liberty Cinelli-Miller.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 5, in the Christ Episcopal Church, State and Water streets, Dover.
Burial will be held privately in the Delaware Veterans Memorial cemetery , Millsboro.

Janet E. Seningen, 73, of Newport, passed away peacefully at her home on Nov. 1, 2004.
Janet was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and baking. She especially loved Christmas time and taking care of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, George W. Seningen; 2 sons, Joseph G. Seningen and his wife, Barbara, and their children, Michael and Danielle, all of Wilmington; and William Jones and his wife, Linda and their children, Stacy Lubbers and Scott Jones, three great-grandchildren; and one brother, George Berry and his wife, Eleanor, of Lewes.
Graveside services will be held at noon, Friday, Nov. 5, in All Saints cemetery , 6001 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington.

Matilda “Til” E. Muller,

Matilda “Til” E. (Johnston) Muller, 70, of Lewes, died on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, at home.
She was employed as a media technician for 18 years at Shawnee High School in Medford, N.J. She had also served as deputy registrar of Vital Statistics for 20 years in Nutley, N.J. She had been a choir member and bell choir member at her former church, the Protestant Community Church in Medford and was a member of the Pineland Players in Medford. She also sang with the Southern Delaware Choral Society. She attended Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rehoboth Beach.
She is survived by her husband, James A. Muller of Lewes; her son, Kurt A. Muller of Newark; her daughter, Janice Kildea of Dover, N.J.; a brother, Donald Johnston of Newark; a granddaughter, Brianna Muller of Newark and grandson, James Muller Kildea of Dover, N.J.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 3, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, King Charles & Laurel Streets, Rehoboth Beach, with the Rev. Dr. Frank Deming officiating. A second memorial service will be held at the Protestant Community Church, Stokes Road, Medford, N.J. at 3 p.m., Friday Nov. 5. Burial will be private.
