Biehn, Jane Ireland
Jane Ireland Biehn, 63, of Wilmington died peacefully at her home on Friday, December 15, 2000 from melanoma.
She was a graduate of St. Elizabeth High School and attended Goldey Beacom School of Business. She worked as a secretary for the DuPont Company for thirty three years before her retirement in 1989.
She is survived by her husband of ten years, William Biehn, her sister, Patricia Dougherty, of Maine and a brother John (Jack) Ireland of New Castle; nephews: Kevin Dougherty of Maine, and David Ireland of Wilmington; neices; Jennifer Dobyns of Virginia, Elizabeth Ireland of Philadelphia, and Anne Marie Ireland of New Castle. She is also survived by cousins Terry and Terry Ireland of Wilmington, James Ireland of Wilmington; brother in law Walter Biehn and his wife Carolyn, sister in law Mary Anne Ireland and many good friends. She was predeceased by a brother in law, Michael Dougherty.

MARGARET ELIZABETH (Betty) BILTON
WYOMING -- Margaret Elizabeth (Betty) Bilton, of Wyoming, died of congestive heart failure Wednesday, March 7, 2001 in Christiana Hospital surrounded by her family. Both she and her family deeply appreciated the assistance of many health care professionals and the support of loving friends during her hospitalization since early December. Born in Bryan, Ohio, she was a homemaker, mother and civic leader. She married Byron W. Bilton of Waco, Texas in 1944 and shared his career in the US Air Force, living in Ft. Worth, Texas; Brussels, Belgiuym; Laon, France; Minot, North Dakota; and Dover, Delaware. They celebrated 50 years of marriage prior to his death in 1994. Mrs. Bilton worked as a bookkeeper for Peoples Savings & Loan until her retirement. She contributed her time, talent and energy to many community organizations, including The Round Table Club of Wyoming-Camden, Delaware, Delaware State Federation of Womens' Club, The Singing Ladies, Daughters of the American Revolution, Officers' Wives Club, Wyoming United Methdoist Church, Al-Anon, and Modern Maturity Center. She was an accomplished seamstress and dedicated needlework artisan, delighting family and friends with her creations. An avid shopper for stylish fashions, she loved to travel and enjoyed dancing. Daughter of Pierce Samuel Elsasser and Elma Becker Elsasser, Mrs. Bilton grew up near New York City. She is survived by a son, Jerry a. Bilton of Wilmington; a daughter, Lora B. Englehart, son-in-law William F. Englehart, and grandchildren Erika and Brad Englehart, all of Chadds Ford, PA; granddaughter Jessamyn B. Abel and her husband Kenneth Abel, and great grandchildren Jordan and Eva Abel, all of Pikesville, MD; devoted daughter-in-law Regina Bilton of Odessa, DE, and loving companion William Shields of Dover. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 18, 2001 at Wyoming United Methodist Church, Broad Street, Wyoming at 2:00 p.m. Interment ceremony will be on Mondy, March 19, 2001 at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, 3515 Silverside Road, Wilmington, DE 19810.

Donnette A. Birmingham, age 53 of Seaford, died on Sunday, February 11, 2001 at home of heart failure. She is survived by her father, John C. Green SR of Seaford, 1 brother, John C. Green Jr. of Millersville, MD and 1 sister, Margaret Green of Seaford. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, February 15th at 10 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Stein Hwy, Seaford. Bishop, Sophie Jewel
Sophie Jewel Bishop, 69, of Colora, MD died January 30, 2001 at Union Hospital in Elkton, MD. Mrs. Bishop was born on January 1, 1932 in Whalen, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Milton & Esta Slone. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, crocheting, gardening and lived for her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Andrew A. Bishop of Colora, 2 sons, Andrew A. Bishop, Jr. of Mexico and Mark E. Bishop of Colora; 4 daughters, Lucy Brakeall of Chadds Ford, PA, Jean Coldiron of Nottingham, PA, Elizabeth Bishop of Colora, and Susan Price of Port Deposit; 2 brothers; 5 sisters, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thurs., Feb. 1, 2001 at R. T. FOARD FUNERAL HOME, 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911. Blanchfield, Elsie Alberta
Elsie Alberta Blanchfield of Federalsburg died at Caroline Nursing Home in Denton, Maryland on Monday, February 5, 2001. She was 80. She was born on July 14, 1920 in Cecil County, MD the daughter of the late James and Mary Emma Craig Loller. Her husband of 57 years, Hughey Howard Blanchfield, Sr. preceded her in death on January 13, 1994. During her life she worked as a cook in restaurants and was primarily a homemaker. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Federalsburg and its Philathea Circle. She is survived by five sons, Howard Hughey Blanchfield, Jr. of Notingham, PA, Thomas Allen Blanchfield and Michael Paul Blanchfield, both of Preston, James Daniel Blanchfield of Charlottesville, VA and William Arthur Blanchfield of Federalsburg and four daughters, Henrietta Knotts of Delmar, MD, Ruby Ann Rajchel of Crumpton, MD, Shirley Mae Murray of Federalsburg and Patricia Ann Lewis of Cambridge. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson and a brother, Crawford Loller of Elkton, MD and many nieces and nephews. Four sisters, Elizabeth Alderson, Catherine Benson, Emily Biggs and Eleanor Husfelt and four brothers, Elwood Loller, Denny Loller, Richard Loller and Charles Loller and two granddaughters, Bonnie Blanchfield and Tammy Jeanette Dickerson preceded her in death. Funeral services for her will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 9, 2001 at Framptom-Hawkins-Eskow Funeral Home, P.A. in Federalsburg, MD with the Rev. David Dunn, Rev. Glen Lyburn and Rev. Howard Dunn, officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery in Federalsburg. Background: Mr. Bloth was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II and for 27 months served in the Philippines, Manila, and Japan. Mr. Bloth was a farmer who also drove a school bus for over 30 years and was a substitute mail carrier. Mr. Bloth was a member of the American Legion and the Delaware Farm Bureau. In his spare time Mr. Bloth loved to travel and take day trips. Mr. Bloth will be remembered as a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. Marianne K. Blyth
Age 67 of Hockessin died Monday, March 26, 2001 in the St. Francis Hospital. Mrs. Blyth was a secretary for the DuPont Company Experimental Station, retiring in 1992 after 40 years of service. She was a 1952 graduate of Ursuline Acadamey. She was a member of the Brandywine Zoo and the Philadelpha Zoo. She was a past member of Ashland Nature Center, the Grand Opera House, the Delaware Symphony Association and the Delaware Museum of Natural History. She was a benefactor of the Jeanne Jugan Residence and Little Sisters of the Poor. She was married in St. Paul's Catholic Church November 6, 1958. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Thomas J. Blyth, Jr.; and her cousins, Jean Boyle, Angela Boyle, Victorine Buckley, Thomas Boyle and John Hammerer, all of Wilmington and Charles Boyle of Pass Christian, MS. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph's on the Brandywine Church, 10 Old Church Road., Greenville on Friday morning, March 30th 9:30 am. Boisvert, Sr., Edmond J.
Edmond J. Boisvert, Sr., 86, of Newark, died at his residence on Tuesday, March 6, 2001.
Mr. Boisvert was a tow motor operator for 30 years for Wooleyhan Trucking before his retirement in 1976. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 326 and enjoyed photography, electronics, and his family. An Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Boisvert participated in the invasion of Europe. His wife, Anna Mae (Minner) Boisvert, died in 1999.
He is survived by his daughters, Arlene G. Carpenter of Newark, and Ann Coll of Wilmington; a son, Edmond J. Jr. of Newark; four brothers, Henry and Walter of New Hampshire, and Arthur and Raymond of Massachusetts; and five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 9 at 10:30 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4th Street and Bancroft Parkway, where friends may call after 9:30 am. Interment will be at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. Bounds, Richard Lee
Richard Lee Bounds, 51, of Salisbury, died Saturday, November 19, 2000 at Deers Head Center in Salisbury after a long illness.
Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late William Lee Bounds Sr. and Anna Lee Taylor Bounds.
Mr. Bounds attended North Dorchester High School most of his school years and moved back to Salisbury in 1967. He worked at several jobs including Frontier Town, Star & Sun Park, and Ocean City Police Department.
He is survived by two daughters: Sherri Lee Keyes and Karen Dawn Bounds; one son, _____________________ all of Salisbury; four grandchildren: Brian Keyes, Brittany Keyes, Abigail Thompson and Robert Thompson III; three sisters: Bonnie Bozman of Delmar, Rhonda Wilkinson and Patricia Vetra both of Salisbury; two brothers: William Lee Bounds Jr. of Lacey’s Spring, AL and Gary Bounds of Ocean Pines; three uncles and their wives: Creston & Joyce Taylor, George Taylor, and Jim & Doris Bounds; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2000 at 2:30 PM. at Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron, MD. Chaplain Davis Duitscher will officiate.

Boyce, Jr, William W.
William W. “Bill” Boyce JR, age 80, of Seaford, DE died on Wednesday, January 24, 2001 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital of heart failure. Mr. Boyce retired in 1980 from the Allied Signal Corporation in Morristown, New Jersey. He was a member of the Seaford Golf & Country Club. He is survived by his wife Nancy Wiley Boyce, 2 sons, William W. “Bill” Boyce III of Lititz, PA, and Mark W. Boyce of Sharptown, MD, 1 brother, John Hunter Boyce of Severna Park, Md and 1 sister, Helen Barbara Iams of Lutherville, MD. 5 grandsons and 1 granddaughter also survive him. Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 27, 2001 at 2 PM at the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 Shipley St, Seaford, DE. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Seaford. Clara Ferguson Brackin
Age 90, formerly of Klari Estates, Wilmington, died Thursday, March 29, 2001 in the Harbor Health Care Facility in Lewes, DE. Mrs. Brakcin was 1 of 9 children born to Wilson and Clara Ferguson of New Castle. From the late 1030s until the mid 1960s, she and her husband John and their children lived in Yorklyn, DE. Their home in Yorklyn was the extended families gathering place for parties and picnics, especially during the summer months. She enjoyed having her nieces and nephews spend time at her home in the "country". Mrs. Brackin, who for a brief time worked as a telephone operator, was primarily a homemaker. Her life centered on her family and they regarded her as their matriarch. She will be remembered as an excellent cook, a music lover and an avid reader, having a keen interest in politics and for her strong commitment to her family. Her husband, John Brackin died in 1991. She is survived by her son Richard A. Brackin and his wife Margaret of Wilmington; her daughters Charlotte McQuaid and her husband Robert of Winston-Salem, NC and Joan Schuler and her husband Phillip of Lewes, DE; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the DOHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek on Monday morning, April 2 at 11 am, where friends may call after 10 am. Bradley, Charles A.
Charles A. Bradley age 69, of Milford, DE, died at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Tuesday, February 13, 2001.
Charles A. Bradley was a general contractor who owned the Charles A. Bradley and Sons General Contractors. Mr. Bradley will be remembered for the fine homes and businesses that he has built in Milford and most of the Eastern Shore. Some of these building included the Milford Church of the Nazarene, Pocomoke Church of the Nazarene, Calvary Wesleyan Church of Harrington, Seventh Day Adventist Church of Harrington, which he remodeled and did an addition, as well as numerous churches in Easton, Smyrna, Seaford, and Mt. Airy, and other buildings such as the Melvin Funeral Home of Harrington. He was a very dedicated and devote member of the Milford Church of the Nazarene. During his long tenure of this church, he served as the Sunday School Superintendent, a Sunday School Teacher, Trustee, Treasurer of 22 years, Mission President, Head Usher, Board Member for 37 consecutive years, Song Leader, Building Finance Chairman, and the Chairman of Property and Building. He was also active under the Washington Nazarene District serving on the Building and Property Committee, Board of Finance, Committee of Retired Housing, and Chairman of Layman Retreat Committee. His dream was to have a retirement community on the Eastern Shore for retired laymen of the Nazarene Churches. Mr. Bradley was a proud member of the Kent South Gideons for over 38 years. In the Gideons, he was the Delmardic State President for three years, new member coordinator, church assignment secretary, Delmardic Vice President for three years, memorial bible coordinator for three years, church speaker and banquet speaker all on the state and local level, President of local camp, and he was the General Chairman of the Billy Graham Campaign and Crusade held at the Harrington Fair Grounds in 1974. Mr. Bradley was also a Board member for the Faith Community Elementary and Middle School. Early in his career, Mr. Bradley was a Milford city council man and had the honor of being the youngest Business Man of the year. He also was a part of the Kent County Regional Planning Commission and the Board of Assessment. Recently, Mr. Bradley was awarded the Delaware Republican of the year for 2000. Mr. Bradley was proud of the fact that he served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict, even though he did not see action, he was trained as a radio operator and in carpentry where he was in charge of buildings. Mr. Bradley and wife Eleanor recently celebrated their 49th anniversary on January 29. Family and friends will remember Mr. Bradley as a kind and generous person who will be loved and missed dearly and whose life will have a lasting impression and impact on those he knew.
