Travis, Robin S.
Robin S. Rayne Travis, age 41 of Seaford has made her final journey into eternal life with her lord Jesus on January 24, 2001. Robin is survived by her loving husband, David Travis, three daughters, Anna Bollinger, Stephanie Bollinger, and Cindy Conklin. Also surviving are three granddaughters, Leah Bollinger, Lisa Conklin and Alissa Bollinger, 2 brothers, David Rayne and Michael Rayne her sister and brother-in-law, Dori and Kenneth Mowbray, 2 nieces, Brinkley Rayne and Kori Mowbray and her beloved parents, Charles and Barbara Rayne. Her grandmother, Bertha Gordy also survives her. Robin was a vessel of God used to touch people’s lives. She also had a love for babies, animals and plants. Graveside services will be held at St. Stephen’s Park Cemetery, Delmar, DE on Saturday, January 27, 2001 at 11 AM. Thank you Lord for blessing us with Robin. Tyler, Kenneth Eugene
Princess Anne: Kenneth Eugene Tyler, Sr., 55, of Princess Anne died on Saturday December 16, 2000 at P.R.M.C. in Salisbury. He was born on Smith Island on July 21, 1945. He was the son of Virginia Tyler Bradshaw of Crisfield and the late Vincent Lee Tyler. Mr. Tyler was a member of the Southeast Cherokee Tribe and was a Native American Artisan. He was a former member of the #1229th Division of the National Guard in Crisfield. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Marion Sue Tyler of Princess Anne, a daughter, Tracy M. Warthen and her husband Monty of Salisbury, two sons, Kenneth E. Tyler, Jr. of Eden, and Mark V. Tyler of Fruitland, a brother, Martin L. Tyler of Crisfield, a step-sister, Cookie Brown of Ocean City, five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Following cremation, there will be a private family ceremony held at a later date and Native American burial rites in Virginia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Tyler to Wa’okiye Inc., 321 Beverly Place, Wilmington, DE 19809. Wa’okiye Inc. is a non-profit organization devoted to the care of American Indians on the Sioux Reservation. Arrangements are being handled by the staff of Bounds Funeral Home on E. Main St. in Salisbury.

Valdesere, Sharon Green
Sharon Green Valdesere of Smyrna, Delaware, died at the home of her sister, Tuesday December 5, 2000. She was 41. Sharon was born May 23, 1959 in Dover, Delaware, the daughter of the late Frank Green and Mary Ware Green of Dover, Delaware. She was a homemaker. Sharon was a 1977 Smyrna High School graduate and received her teaching degree from Salisbury State University in 1982. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Aaron Valdesere of Milford, Delaware; 6 sisters, Susan McCoy of Heidleberg, Germany; Lois Ergenzinger of Dover, Delaware; Linda Kurry, with whom she was staying; Barbara Betts of Bear, Delaware; Kathy Green of Dover, Delaware and Margie VanDyke of Salisbury, Maryland and her step-brother, Frank Green Jr. of Setuaket, New York. Services will be Friday December 8, 2000 at 2PM in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street Smyrna, Delaware, where friends may call 1 hour before services. Burial will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park Dover, Delaware. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 South DuPont Highway Dover, DE 19901.

Valentine, Frank J.
Frank J. Valentine, 89, of Woodcrest, passed away at Christiana Hospital on Saturday, March 3, 2001.

Born in Mahonoy City, PA, Frank was the son of Leo and Maria (Zacalli) Valentine who emigrated from Tyrol, Austria. Frank graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA, with a chemistry degree and was a quality control analyst for ICI Americas, Inc. for 43 years before his retirement in 1976. He was a member of St. Matthew’s Church and the Knights of Columbus. An avid golfer, Frank was also a ham radio operator with the call letters W3HKS. His wife, Mary McHugh Valentine, passed away in 1996.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Carol Valentine of Pike Creek; his daughter, Grace Valentine with whom he resided; his best friend, Ed Kazmerck of Wilmington; a sister, Josephine Valentine of Philadelphia; two brothers, Raymond of Philadelphia and Louis of Riddle Park, PA; two grandchildren and their spouses, Michael and Jennifer Valentine and Angela and Corey Godek; and two great grandchildren, Sarah and Joseph Godek.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 8 at 10:30 am at St. Matthew’s Church, 901 E. Newport Pike, Woodcrest. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Ministry of Caring, 506 N. Church St., Wilmington, DE 19801.

Vickers, Helen J
Salisbury- Helen J. Vickers, 82, of here died, Monday, March 26,2001 at Manokin Manor in Princess Anne. Born in Timmons Town, MD, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence G. and Cody Timmons Jackson .She was preceded in death by her husband William Edward Vickers and a son Gerald Vickers Sr., a sister, Pauline Esham, and three brothers; Lawrence, Reese and George Jackson She was employed at English Grill until she retired in 1981. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great and great- great grandmother to a daughter Susan Malone and her husband George of Princess Anne, a daughter in law Christine Vickers Brasure, seven grandchildren; Daniel and Erin Malone, Gerald Vickers Jr., Karlo Vickers, Teresa Williams, Vickie Catlin, and Vera Taylor, ten great-grandchildren; Adam and Cara Williams, Kevin and Andrew Vickers, Kyle, Garrett and Maya Taylor, Abigail and Madelyn Catlin, and Mary Vickers, and one great-great-grandchild, Kayla Williams. A funeral service will be held Friday, at 2PM at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main St. in Salisbury, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Anthony Rosetta will officiate. William B. Wagner, 37, 2011 Dinah's Corner Road, DOVER, passed away Friday August 11, 2000 in Phila., PA .

He was born on September 25, 1962 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Frederick and Gretchen (Nelson) Wanger.

He was a member of a electrician. He had a love for music, coaching little league baseball in Dover, and a Viking's football fan. Also golf, and was a member of "fellowship". He is preceded in death by a brother Rick Wanger in 1996..

He is survived by wife, Patricia Wagner of Dover, DE. SON, William Wagner of Little Creek, DE. Step-son, Calvin Hershberger of Dover, DE. DAUGHTER, Tiffany Wagner of Little Creek, DE. Step Daughter, Kelly Hershberger of Dover, DE. Father, Frederick Wanger of Bel Air, MD. MOTHER, Gretchen Wanger of Dover, DE. SISTER, Debie Paladino of Elkton, MD. Grandmother and Grandfather, Frederick (Josephine) Wagner of Cincinnati, OH. .

Remembrance Services will be held Tuesday 08/15/2000 12:00 PM at TRADER FUNERAL HOME in DOVER, DE Burial will be at the SHARON HILL MEMORIAL PARK Dover, DE.

Walczak, Ann Marie (Benjamin)
Ann Marie (Benjamin) Walczak, 50, of Milltown, departed this life on March 1, 2001, surrounded by those who loved her.

Ann worked for Dupont Engineering from 1978 to 1991 and was employed by BE&K Engineering from 1991 to the present. She was active with Valleybrook Swim Club and served on the Board of Directors from 1982 until January 2001. Ann was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.

Ann is survived by her two daughters, Shari A. McGrellis and Stacy L. Walczak; her son-in-law, Andy McGrellis; two granddaughters, Kelsey and Erin McGrellis; her mother, Winifred Benjamin, all of Wilmington; a sister, Lois Olsen and her husband, Donald, of Newark; a brother, Wayne Benjamin and his wife Laurie of Demascus, MD. She is also survived by two nieces and two nephews, as well as many relatives on the West Coast. She was predeceased by her father, Alvin Benjamin, in 1985.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Monday, March 5 at 11:00 am at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 1700 Limestone Road, Wilmington. Walker, Charles L.

Charles L. Walker of Smyrna, Delaware, died Thursday February 8, 2001 at Bayhealth/Kent General Hospital Dover, Delaware. He was 58. Mr. Walker was born June 28, 1942 in Chester, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Frank and Lida Walls Walker. He worked as a laboratory aide for the State of Delaware Division of Public Health for the last 2 years and previously had been self-employed. He enjoyed going to auctions and flea markets, hiking and loved the outdoors. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in by his sister, Ruth Dixon in 2000. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Stafford Walker 1 son, Charles L. Walker Jr. of Camden, Delaware; 1 daughter, Cindy Walker of Missouri; 3 brothers, James Walker of Marydel, Delaware, William Walker of Henderson, Maryland and Wayne Walker of Texas. 3 grandchildren. Services will be Monday February 12, 2001 at 1PM in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street Smyrna, Delaware, where friends may call Sunday from 7 to 9PM. MARION “HAPPY” H. WALLS

Age 81 of RD Milford, DE died Tuesday, November 28, 2000 at Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford, DE. Mr. Walls was a self- employed farmer for 53 years. Happy also enjoyed tending to his own garden and shared his harvests with family and friends. He was a member of the AARP, the Milford Senior Center, the American Legion and attended the Milford Church of the Nazarene. He served his country in the Army during WWII. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara B. Walls; a son, John B. Walls; 2 daughters, Constance W. Zook and Debra W. Mills, all of Milford, DE; a sister, Virginia Callahan of Easton, MD; 5 grandchildren; Todd Mills, Brent Zook, Nicole Best, John Michael Walls and Mary Elizabeth Walls, all of Milford, DE and 1 great granddaughter, Cassidy Best of Milford, DE. Services will be held at 1:00 pm on December 2, 2000 at the Milford Church of the Nazarene, 11 NW Salevan Place, Milford, DE. Friends may call at the church 2 hours prior to the service. Waltmann III, Charles F.

Charles F. Waltman III of Clayton, Delaware, died of Huntingtons chorea at home Sunday February 25, 2001 He was 41. Mr. Waltman was born June 18, 1959 in Dover, Delaware, the son of Charles F. “Chuck” Waltman Jr. and Elizabeth “Dolly” Boney Waltman with whom Charles lived. Mr. Waltman worked as a welder before his illness forced him to retire. He served 6 years in the United States Army Reserves. Mr. Waltman enjoyed listening to prayers and songs. In addition to his parents, he is survived by 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, Dwyne L. and Cheryl Waltman of Dover, Delaware and David L. Waltman of Clayton, Delaware; 1 sister and brother-in-law, Lena and Noel Lord of Middletown, Delaware, his maternal grandmother, Alma Rheppard of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, several aunts and uncles and 5 nephews and 1 niece. Services will be Saturday March 3, 2001 at 1PM in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street Smyrna, Delaware, where friends may call Friday from 7 to 9PM. JIM F. WALTON, of Dover died Tuesday, January 23, 2001 at home. He was 60.

Mr. Walton was born September 4, 1940 in Montrose, Pennsylvania to the late John and Meta (Harvey) Walton.

He was an Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Walton was self-employed and was the owner operator of Jim's Auto Upholstery of Dover.

He was a member of the American Legion Walter L. Fox Post #2, Dover, where he was a past Commander, and a member of the Honor Society 40/8 and a past National Vice Commander, he was a member of the Camden/Wyoming Moose Lodge, and a member of the Dale Earnhardt National Fan Club, and an avid football and race car fan.

He is survived by his wife of 17 ½ years, Maryanne T. Walton of Dover; 4 brothers: Larry Walton of Naples, Florida, Ralph Walton and his wife Penny of Lebanon, Pennsylvania, Tom Walton of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Bob Walton of Tempe, Arizona; a sister-in-law, Peggy Walton of Tempe, Arizona; 8 brothers & sisters-in-law; a special mother-in-law;an aunt,Pete Strubel of Montrose, PA; 15 nieces and nephews and many close friends.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2001 in the Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover. Viewing will be held from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be private.

Wapniarek, Alfred J.
Alfred J. Wapniarek, 71, of Middletown, died Tuesday, March 13, 2001.

Mr. Wapniarek was a contractor in the Wilmington area until his retirement in 1984. He was a member of St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church where he served as an usher for many years. He was an avid horseman and belonged to such organizations as the United States Trotting Association, the Percheron Horse Association and the West Bradford Hunt Club. He was also a member of the Polish Library of Wilmington. Mr. Wapniarek was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was predeceased by his wife, Regina (Bazydlow) Wapniarek, in 1983, and by his sister, Eleanor Kowalewski.

He is survived by his son, William J. of Middletown and his daughter, Diane Spanich of Coral Springs, FL; his loving companion, Jeanette Wedman, of New Castle;and three sisters, Irene Titus of Richland, WA, Leona Ziolkowski of Greenboro, NC, and Joann Long of Hockessin; a brother, John Wapniarek of Newark; and two grandchildren, David and Matthew Spanich.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 17 at 10:00 am at St. Hedwig’s Church, Linden and Harrison Streets, Wilmington. Friends are invited to call on Friday evening between 6 pm and 8 pm at Mealey Funeral Home, Limestone and Milltown Roads, Wilmington. Interment will be at Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington.
