MARJORIE SHORT WARR
Age 68, of Hampton, VA, died Tuesday, January 16, 2001 at Riverside Regional Medical Center after a long illness. A native of Bowers Beach, DE, Marjorie had been a Hampton resident since 1969. She loved to garden, play bridge and was an avid Beanie Baby Collector.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Elizabeth DeVane and her parents, William J. and Mary Esther Short.
Mrs. Warr is survived by her husband of 42 years, Wesley M. Warr, her daughter, Lynn Warr Prtorich of Franklin, NJ, three sons; Ralph Taylor of Logan, OH, William Rodney Taylor of Smithfield, VA and Wesley McCauley Warr, II of Newport News, VA, three sisters; Barbara Ann Spangler, Fay Dean and Mary Esther Brown, all of Dover, DE, three brothers; John W. Short of Middletown, DE, Charles W. Short and Wayne Short, both of Dover, DE, 13 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.
A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2001 at Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 729 Thimble Shoals Blvd, Newport News, VA, 23606.

WYOMING -- Elizabeth H. Warren, Wyoming, died Tuesday, February 6, 2001 in Bayhealth/Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 86. Mrs. Warren was born in Wyoming, Delaware, on October 23, 1914, daughter of the late Nellie Voshell and Samuel Hobbs. She was a farmer's wife and homemaker. Mrs. Warren was a member of the Willow Grove Church of God. She was predeceased by her husband Fred T. Warren on February 21, 1986. She is survived by two sisters Catherine Toler of Smyrna and Dorothy Bickling of Wyoming, a brother John Hobbs of Viola, and a niece Sandra Parker of Dover whom she raised and several other special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 West Camden-Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, where friends may call Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Mrs. Warren's nephew, the Rev. Milton B. Kemp, will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. Edward Paul Watkins, Jr., 55 of Hockessin, died on Wednesday February 21, 2001 in the Christiana Hospital. Mr. Watkins retired in 1987 after 21 years as a Senior Technician for Unisys Co., Downingtown, Pa. He enjoyed hunting, fishing woodworking, building homes and was an auto enthusiast. He is survived by his wife Sandra, his children Amy Pierson and Matthew Watkins both of Wilmington and his grandchildren Devon, Dylan and Drew. Services will be on Monday February 26, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. in the MCCRERY MEMORIAL CHAPEL Kirkwood Hwy. (Rt.2 east) and Duncan Rd. where friends may call after 12:30. DOROTHY A. WATSON, AGE 90, OF SEAFORD, DIED ON SUNDAY, DECEMBER 24, 2000 AT GENESIS ELDER CARE CENTER IN SEAFORD. MRS. WATSON WAS BORN IN BRIGHTON, MASS. SHE FORMERLY LIVED IN WILMINGTON, DE WHERE SHE WORKED FOR F. W. WOOLWORTH AT 9TH AND MARKET STREETS, PRICES CORNER AND THEN IN SEAFORD AT THE NYLON CAPITOL SHOPPING CENTER. SHE RETIRED IN 1972. SHE WAS A LIFE MEMBER OF THE SEAFORD VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT LADIES AUXILIARY, AND A MEMBER OF OUR LADY OF LOURDES CATHOLIC CHURCH IN SEAFORD. HER HUSBAND FRANCIS WATSON DIED IN 1963. Watson Jr., John J.
John J. Watson Jr., 58, of Townsend, died on Sunday January 21 at home. He was born in Philadelphia, Pa., the son of Isabella Renner, of Harrisburg, Pa., and the late John J. Watson Sr. He was a Marine Corps veteran, serving from 1960-1965. Mr. Watson served in the Bay of Pigs during the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1961. Mr. Watson was employed as an electrical engineer by General Motors from 1965 to the present at the Boxwood Road plant in Wilmington. He was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, and of American Legion Post 14, both of Smyrna. He enjoyed fishing and crabbing from his boat on the Chester River in Maryland. A brother, James Watson, died in 1968. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 32 years, Elizabeth R. “ Betty” Watson, at home; a daughter, Dawn Marie Watson, of Dover; 3 sons, John J. Watson III, of Christiana; Douglas J. Watson Sr., of Townsend; and Gerard Riccardi, of Dover; 2 brothers, Ed Dover, of Wilmington; and Michael Kochanek, of Jasper, TX.; 5 sisters, Pat Dooley, of Elkton, Md.; Jennie Griffith, of Harrisburg, Pa.; Barbara Barnett, of Potter Co., Pa.; Jeannette Faber, of West Chester, Pa.; and Margaret Mueller, of Stamford, Conn.; a godson, Christopher Vernon, of West Grove, Pa.; 4 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Webb, Barbara C.
WYOMING -- Barbara C. Webb, of Wyoming, died Sunday, January 14, 2001 in Bayhealth/Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 86. She was born on September 2, 1914, in Boston, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Grace M. Hubbard and Charles Field Chipman. Mrs. Webb dedicated her life to her family and the family farm where she helped managed the daily duties with her late husband C. Milbourne Webb, Sr. After her husband's death in 1976, she continued homemaking on the farm and enjoying life as a mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren were a source of great love and pride and she will always be remembered as a special mom mom. She loved crafts and ceramics and at one time ran a successful business at her residence called Farm House Ceramics. Besides her husband, she is predeceased by two granddaughters Deborah Ann Staats and Beverly Webb Gibson. She is survived by three sons C. Milbourne Webb, Jr., Lawrence Webb and Tommy Webb all of Wyoming, two daughters Blanche (Sis) Satterfield , and Barbara Ann Staats both of Wyoming, a sister Frances Crozier of Marydel and a brother Ernest Chipman of Boston, Massachusetts, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great, great granddaughters. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 West Camden-Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, where friends may call Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. The Rev. Albert Burton will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.

Erika H. Weislogel, 73, Fairway Lake Dr., DOVER, passed away Saturday December 02, 2000 at K.G.H. BAYHEALTH DOVER Dover.
She was born on September 26, 1927 in Moerfelden, Germany.
She was a kindergarten teacher in her home town of Moerfelden, Germany. She came to the US after WWII in 1947 and married Howard in April of that year.She enjoyed painting. She is preceded in death by a daughter Monica Weislogel..
She is survived by her HUSBAND of 53 years, Howard W. Weislogel of Dover, DE. SON, Howard H. Weislogel of Exeter, PA. DAUGHTER, Lydia Patronelli of Greco, Itlay, . DAUGHTER, Erika Leahy of Manassa, VA. DAUGHTER, Kathleen Weislogel of Montana, . SISTER, Ursulla Czoik of Moerfelden, Germany, 11 Grand Children.

Welsh, Anne M.
Anne M. Welsh, 95, lifelong resident of Wilmington, died at the Franciscan Healthcare Center on Monday, March 19, 2001.
Miss Welsh worked in the accounting department of the Wilmington Trust Company for 30 years until her retirement in 1971. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church.
There are no immediate survivors though she was care for by Roger, Loretta and Andrew McCullough, and the Rita McLaughlin Family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 23 at 10:00 am at Corpus Christi Church, 901 New Road, Elsmere where friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be private. Mildred A. “Millie” Wheeler-Satterfield of Smyrna, Delaware, died Wednesday March 21, 2001 in Bayhealth/Kent General Hospital. She was 48. Millie was born December 3, 1952 in Dover, Delaware, the daughter of Charles Wheeler Sr. of Middletown, Delaware and Shirley Manning Deblander of Canton, Pennsylvania. She worked as a material handler for Metal Masters in Clayton, Delaware for the last 5 years. She enjoyed spending with her family and friends, shopping and going to the beach. In addition to her parents, she is survived by 1 daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Easley Pierson of Smyrna, Delaware; 4 brothers, Frank Wheeler and his wife and daughter, Dorris and Tanya with whom she lived; Charles Wheeler of Florida; Thomas and Jeff Wheeler both of Clayton, Delaware; 2 half-sisters, Dawn Corman of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania and Mary Beth Wheeler of Middletown, Delaware; her step-father, Art Deblander of Canton, Pennsylvania and step-mother, Mary Wheeler of Middletown, Delaware; her special friend, Richard Willey of Wyoming, Delaware and nieces and nephews, Steven, Thomas, Charles and Stacy. White, Marion E.
Marion E. White, 66, of Salisbury, died Thursday, November 23, 2000 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury from complications of heart surgery. Born in Parsonsburg, he was the son of the late Estole G. & Georgianna Parsons White.
Mr. White was a 32 Degree Mason with the Centennial Lodge. He worked for Bond Bread for six years, Coca Cola for 21 years and was an independent contractor for UPS. He was a devoted family man. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Emma Morris White of Salisbury; two sons: Steven M. White of Salisbury and Gregory A. White and wife, Nancy White of Hebron; two daughters: Janet E. White and Peggy S. White both of Salisbury; two grandchildren: Jason White and Allia White both of Hebron; three sisters: Joyce LeCates and Ann LeCates both of Laurel and Edna Sullivan of Delmar; several nieces and nephews; and a very special Pekingese, “Sue.” He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
A funeral service will be held Monday, November 27, 2000 at 11:00 PM at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Pastor Everett LeCates assisted by Pastor Everett LeCates Jr will officiate. Interment will be in the Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery in Laurel, Delaware.

Age 64 of Greenwood, DE, died Saturday, March 31, 2001 at home after a long illness.
Mrs. Whoehrle is survived by her husband, Paul A. Whoehrle, three daughters; Carrie “Pooh” Bradley and Christine Johnson, both of Milford, DE and Cindy Millman of Camden, DE, two sons; Steven Millman of Newark, DE and James Wilkins of Dover, DE, three sisters; Doris Carey and Nora Webb, both of Milford, DE and Catherine Coverdale of Greenwood, DE, two brothers; Howard Wilson of Milford, DE and Rodney Wilson of Georgetown, DE, six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Service and burial will be private.

Wicks, Mary E.
Mary E. Wicks, 66, of Willow Run, died Monday, December 5, 2000 at Christiana Hospital.
Mrs. Wicks worked at the Arby’s Restaurant on Concord Pike for 14 years. She was an avid sports fan, following the Elsmere Little League and the Conrad Apaches Pee Wee Football. Her hobbies included puzzles and gardening, spending time with family and crocheting.
Mrs. Wicks will be sadly missed by her husband of 48 years son, Michael M.; a son, Michael J. and his wife, Kim, of Richardson Park; two daughters, Diane E. Conway and her husband, Michael, of Newark and Cynthia L. and her husband, Gregory of Hockessin; 10 grandchildren, Erin, John, Jeffrey and Devon Conway, Loren, Adam, Chelsea and Tyler Johnson, and Kathryn and Patrick Wicks; a great grandchildren, Shaun Conway; two brothers, Robert Fahey of Prospect Park, PA and Charles Day of Newark, DE; and a sister, Marian Wade of Aurora, RI.
Friends are invited to visitation on Wednesday evening, December 6, between 6 pm and 8 pm at Mealey Funeral Home, Limestone and Milltown Roads, Wilmington. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday morning at 10 am at St. Elizabeth Church, Cedar and Clayton, Wilmington. Interment will be a All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington.
Wilkins, Ann Marie
Ann Marie Stathem Wilkins of Dover died Sunday, April 1, 2001 in Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 40.
Mrs. Wilkins was born on January 20, 1961 in Denver, CO, to Frank and Sherle Stathem. Being the daughter of a Federal Civil Servant for the military, the family moved often during her childhood. She lived many places including Grandview, MO, Colorado Springs, CO, and Karlsruhe, Germany, where she first met her husband, P.J. She attended Ecoloa Bible College in Cannon Beach, OR, Capernwray Bible School in Sweden, and Taylor University in Upland, IN.
She worked as a nanny in Manchester, England, and in the Washington, D.C. area as a legal secretary.
Ann was a member of Lacey Baptist Chapel, in Lacey, WA. Among her many interests and talents were drawing, gardening, crafts and sewing. Her last endeavor was learning to fly, and had recently soloed.
Ann Marie Stathem Wilkins is survived by her husband of 3 years, Peter (P.J.) Wilkins, of Dover; her stepdaughter, Michele Wilkins, of Dover; her parents, Frank and Sherle Stathem of Raymore, MO; one brother, Ross Stathem, of Silver Spring, MD; and one sister, Erin Armstrong, of Olympia, WA.
Funeral Services were held Wednesday, April 04, 2001, in Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford St., Dover, DE. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery, in St. Joseph, MO.
