Willey, Levin Washington
Levin Washington Willey, 86, of Fruitland, died Thursday, November 16, 2000 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Eden, MD, he was the son of the late Samuel G. and Emma Washburn Willey.

Mr. Willey was formerly a self-employed painting contractor. He was a lifetime member of the Salisbury VFW. He was a disabled Army veteran who served in World War II. He had many friends in the Salisbury and Fruitland area. He was an avid gardener. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Anna Margaret Willey of Fruitland; a son, Kenneth Neal Willey of Ocean City; two sisters: Marie Owens of Salisbury and Elsie Lewis of Delmar; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald L. Willey who died in February 2000.

A funeral service will be held Monday, November 20, 2000 at 2:00 PM at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Ike Ledger will officiate. Interment will be in Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron.

Contributions may be made in his memory to the Fruitland Volunteer Fire Dept., Main St., Fruitland, MD 21826.

Williams, Thomas L.
Thomas L. (Bucky) Williams, 60, of Newark, died Friday March 2, 2001 at Christiana Hospital.

Mr. Williams was a painter for most of his life.

He is survived by eleven children; sons, Thomas L., Jr., and David W. of Maryland, Gary L. of VA, and daughters Laurie L. Williams, Lisa D. Willett, Vicki K. Smith, all of Maryland, Sheree D. Kasulaitis, Ashley N. Simmons, Melissa A. Williams, Amber L. Williams, and Rachel L. Williams, all of Newark. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and numerous brothers and sisters.

Family and friends are invited to funeral services Thursday, 1:30 PM at Mealey Funeral Home, Limestone and Milltown Rds. Calling hours 11:30 to 1:30 Thursday at the funeral home. Interment Silverbrook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, New Castle, DE 19720.

Willoughby, Walter Lee
Walter L. Willoughby, 70, Westville Road, Marydel, passed away Friday January 05, 2001 at HIS HOME in Marydel, De with family and friends.

He was born on April 10, 1930 in Huntington, West Va. to Edgar and Jennie (McGlothlin) Willoughby. Mr. Willoughby is Ret. USAF with 22 1/2 years of service as a security police and a armed forces courier. He servied as one of the Courriers with the peace talks papers from Vietnam to Pres. Nixon. Mr. Willoughby enjoyed wood working and had his own shop at home. He was a DAFB Volunteer at the base hospital. He enjoyed Pony Recing. He was a driver at Preston Trucking for 10 years and worked at Reichold Chemical for 8 years. He is preceed in death by his daughter Deborah Sue in 1949 and 1 sister and 4 Brothers..

He is survived by wife of 52 1/2 years, TeNeil Willoughby of Marydel, DE. SON and his wife, Dan and Sandye Willoughby of Orlanda, FL. SON and his wife, Carl and Deborah Willoughby of Dover, DE. DAUGHTER and her husband, Suan and Bruce Farrow of Dover, DE. SISTER, Bettie Boster of Hampton, VA., 6 grand children, 1 Great grand child .

Remembrance Services will be held Tuesday 01/09/2001 12:00 PM at TRADER FUNERAL HOME in DOVER, DE 19901 with Rev. Ron WUEST officiating. Burial will be at the SHARON HILL MEMORIAL PARK Dover, DE.

Friends may also call from 11:00 AM to time of the service at the TRADER FUNERAL HOME in DOVER.

Wilson, Carolyn Raughley
Carolyn R. Wilson, 73, East Loockerman Street, DOVER, passed away Thursday January 25, 2001 at HER HOME in Dover.

She was born on June 21, 1927 in Dover, DE to John and Edith (Downham) Raughley.

Mrs. Wilson is a graduit of Caesar Rodney High School. She is a member of Wyoming Methodist Church. She was the safety deposit clerk at Wilmington Trust Bank in Dover the past 12 years. She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother. She enjoyed working with crossword puzzles and collecting coins, she was a big fan of TV soop operas. Mrs. Wilson is preceded in death by her husband William R. Wilson and a brother John O. Raughley, Jr..

She is survived by DAUGHTER, Pamela E. Wilson of DOVER, DE. DAUGHTER, Joan W. Davis of DOVER, DE. GRANDCHILD, Brandon Davis of DOVER, DE. GRANDCHILD, Stacy Davis of DOVER, DE. .

Winder, Milton Leroy
Milton Leroy Winder, affectionately known as "Big Bird", was the son of the late James Winder and Ethel Bell Winder. He was born on February 16, 1938 and departed this life on November 16, 2000, at the age of 62, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, DE.

Bird spent his early years in Laurel, DE, and then he served in the Army Reserves. He returned home to work as a farm hand for a number of farmers, and worked at Brandywine and the former Liberty Bell Racetracks.

He enjoyed playing blues and gospel hymns on his guitar and being with his family and friends.

He is survived by his former wife, Grace Winder of Snowhill, MD, a brother, William Cannon of Delmar, DE, three sisters, Eunice Oney, Ernestine Bell, and Portia Bell all of Seaford, DE, four aunts, Mary Hearne of Delmar, MD, Louise Bell Winder of Bridgeville, Pearl Winder and Bernice Winder both of Delmar, DE, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. *A sister, Alice Marshall and a brother, Frank Winder, preceded him in death.

Winner, Paul
Age 48 of Dover died Saturday November 18, 2000 at home. Mr. Winner was a utility operator for V.I.P. Mirrex in Delaware City for the past 13 years. He is survived by his daughter- Valene A. Winner of Smyrna, 2 Brothers- Edward C. Winner of Dover and Thomas P. Winner of Wilm., 1 Sister- Bernice Majors of St. Croix, and his former wife- Raelene B. Cox of Smyrna. Services will be Friday November 24, 2000 at 1:30P.M. at the MCCRERY MEMORIAL CHAPEL 3710 Kirkwood Highway at Duncan Road where friends may call after 12:30. Witomski, Virginia Nester
Virginia N. Witomski, 85, Farm Lane, Viola, passed away Tuesday January 30, 2001 at K.G.H. BAYHEALTH DOVER Dover.

She was born on January 12, 1916 in Pottstown, PA to David and Frances (Rosenberry) Nester.

Mrs. Witomski was a homemaker. She Attened Holy Cross Church in Dover for 49 years. Member of Fruitland Grange. She was a member of the Frazier Homemakers Club. An VCF Ruritanette's Member. She also enjoyed making crafts and traveling to shows. She is preeced in death by her brother Mervin Nester..

She is survived by Husband of 50 years, Michael S. Witomski of Viola, DE. DAUGHTER and her husband, Wanda D.and Bill Fowler of Camden/Wyoming, DE. DAUGHTER, Anita M. Mumford of Viola, DE. Workman, Alton Donald
Alton Donald Workman of Smyrna, Delaware, died Sunday November 19, 2000 at the home of his son, William Robert Husfelt of Warwick, Maryland. He was 63. Mr. Workman was born October 29, 1937 in Georgetown, Delaware, the son of the late Courtland E. and Delia Baker Workman. Mr. Workman was a truck driver for 44 years, most recently with Shady Brook Farms of Dover, Delaware. He was an avid NASCAR fan, especially #24, Jeff Gordon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Rodney and Horace Workman and 1 sister, Louise W. Dorey. In addition to his son William, he is survived by his wife, Mary Etta Chance Workman; his son, John Franklin Husfelt of King, North Carolina; 1 daughter, Susan Denise Hughes of Dover, Delaware; 1 brother, Courtland I. Workman of Georgetown, Delaware; 2 sisters, Eleanor Raye Workman and Marjoriea Short both of Georgetown, Delaware; 3 grandchildren, William Robert Husfelt III of Warwick, Maryland; Jerry Lee Binkley of Smyrna, Delaware and Megan E. Douglas of Dover, Delaware. Services will be Saturday November 25, 2000 at 11AM in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street Smyrna, Delaware, where friends may call Friday from 7 to 9PM. Worrall, E. Wilson
E. Wilson Worrall (Bill) Age 85, of Newark, DE, died peacefully January 29, 2001 at the Christiana Hospital in Newark. Mr. Worrall attended the University of DE, and played football for the Blue Hens from 1934 to 1937. He was in Auto Sales for 35 years and worked for Fader Ford in Newark from 1937-1961. He then owned and operated, W. F. Jackson & Co., an oil distributor in Newark until he retired in 1971. Mr. Worrall traveled extensively with his wife throughout the U.S. He also enjoyed fishing and antiquing and was one of the founding members of The Touchdown Club of Newark, DE. Mr. Worrall is preceded in death by his wife Betty Stone Worrall who died in 1994. He is survived by his son Raymond E. Worrall, and daughter Pamela L. Worrall, both of Newark, and 2 grandchildren, Susan and Andrew Worrall, also of Newark. Services will be held 11am, Thursday, February 1, 2001 at the ROBERT T. JONES & FOARD FUNERAL HOME, 122 W. Main St., Newark, DE where family and friends may visit from 7-9pm Wednesday, January 31, 2001 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in the Hockessin Friends Cemetery. Wright, Doris M
Mardela Springs - Doris M. Wright, 86, of Mardela Springs died, Friday, March 09, 2001, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born on September 20,1914, in Quantico, MD she was the daughter of the late Lee and Addie Crockett Messick. Her husband William P. Wright preceded her in death in 1983. Mrs. Wright graduated from Wicomico High School and was employed by Elton Bounds Shirt Company for 40 years. She was a member of Old St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Hebron, Emmanuel Methodist Church in Mardela Springs, the Springhill Alter Guild, and was the first female Vestryman. She is survived by a son William Lee Wright of Arlee, Montana, a daughter Patricia Bardavid of Fairfax, VA, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers; Nelson and Carroll Messick, and a sister Elizabeth Whayland. A funeral service will be held Monday at 1 PM at Emmanuel Methodist Church in Mardela Springs.The Rev. Kyung Mo Koo will officiate. Interment will follow at Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron. Friends may call Sunday from 3-5 PM at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main St. in Salisbury. CHARLES P. YANNISH, AGE 80, OF SEAFORD, DE DIED ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2000 AT LIFE CARE AT LOFLAND PARK. MR. YANNISH RETIRED IN 1980 FROM ROHM & HAAS CHEMICAL CO IN BRISTOL, PA IN 1980. Mr. Yearsley was born January 8, 1951 in Dover, Delaware to the late Walter and Dorothy (Clough) Yearsley.

Mr. Yearsley was a factory worker for Playtex for 21 years until his retirement in 1991.

He was a member of the Wyoming Moose Club, and enjoyed playing billiards.

He is survived by two sons: Frank B. Yearsley, Jr. of Rising Sun, Kenny Yearsley of Dover; 2 brothers: Larry Yearsley of Woodside, Billy Yearsley of Harrington; 3 sisters: Phylis Ferringer of Dover, Janice Hamilton of Frederica, Bonnie German of Woodside; 2 grandchildren; 8 nieces and 6 nephews.

Graveside services will be held @ 11:30 a.m. Thursday, January 11, 2001 in the Mt. Olive Cemetery, Sandtown, DE, with the Rev. Ronald Wuest officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover, DE.
