Morris, Cathryn E.T.

Harrington- Cathryn E.T. "Miss Kitty " Morris, 79, of Harrington, passed away Wednesday, June 30 at Capitol Healthcare Center, Dover, after a long illness.

Cathryn was born May 19, 1931 in Ridgely ,MD, to the late- Woodrow & Blanche(Harris) Todd.

Miss Kitty was a sewing machine operator most of her life, working for various companies throughout Delaware.

She enjoyed going to yard sales, and was a member of American Legion Log Cabin, in Seaford.

Cathryn was predeceased by her son- Larry A. Morris.

She is survived by 6 Children- Ronnie Todd, of Willards, MD.; Norman T. Morris, of Chicago, Ill.; Kathy A. Fuller, of Seaford; Connie Mears, of Harrington; William Morris, of Tuscon,AZ; and Ricky Condon, of Cambridge,MD. A Sister- JoAnn Blades, of Rock Ledge,Fl;11 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren.

Services will be private.

In Lieu of Flowers, Contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, Julie H.C.Bailey Training Center, 100 S. Main St. Smyrna,DE 19977

Boone, Retired MSGT. Susan M.

Retired MSGT. Susan M. Boone, 51, of Frederica, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on April 6, 1959 in St. Petersburg, FL.

Susan served her country proudly in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years. Afterwards she worked as a vendor for the commissary at the Dover Air Force Base until retiring due to her health.

She enjoyed bass fishing, going to yard sales and gardening. Susan was loved and respected by all.

Susan is preceded in death by her mother Maryline Meindersma and two sisters Diane Boone and Cathy Kovanis.

She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years Timothy Boone, her father Donald Meindersma and his wife Mary Lou of South Carolina, a daughter Jessica Boone of Manassas, VA, a son Ryan Boone at home, two brothers Jon Meindersma of Massachusetts and Brian Meindersma of Florida and an extended family of aunts, uncles and many friends.

A committal service with full military honors will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 30 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro. A gathering of fellowship and remembrance will be announced following the committal service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720-1633.

George, John

John George of Milford passed away June 17, 2010 at the Delaware Veterans Home, Milford. He was 76.

He was born on September 7, 1933 in New York City, NY, son of the late Harry and Cathryn McKinney George.

John served his country proudly in the U. S. Air Force for 20 years.

John was a life member with the Red Hook NY VFW Post 7765 and Elks Lodge Post 2022 and active in both until he went into the veterans home. His activities in both took up a great deal of his time and were very important to him.

He is survived by a son John George, Jr., two daughters Patricia Thompson and Jan George and a sister Dorothy Asreen, two grandsons, four granddaughters and eight great grandchildren.

Burial will be 10:00 am September 1, 2010 in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.

Arrangements are by Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming.

Greenlee, Ralph Michael

FREDERICA Ralph Michael Greenlee, 54, passed away June 17, 2010 in his home.

He was born on January 6, 1956 in Philadelphia, PA.

Michael had most recently worked in security for the Dover Slots.

He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years Karen Knarr Greenlee, his mother Catherine Swiggett, mother-in-law Joyce Knarr, sister-in-law Kris Knarr, siblings Caroline Casper, Thomas Greenlee, Sharon Bollar, Terry Dickerson, Pamela Klimowski, Sandy Hinton, and an extended family of nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside service will be 4:00 pm Tuesday, June 22 at Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Kent County S.P.C.A., 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934.

Mitchell, John Edward

John Edward Mitchell, of Dover, died at his home on June 17, 2010. He was 72.

John was a graduate of Caesar Rodney High School, Salisbury State and East Carolina. He worked as an elementary teacher and principal in Maryland and Delaware and taught at the Delaware State Correctional Center in Smyrna until his retirement. John and Dorothy also

traveled widely throughout the US, Canada and the world, visiting all the continents including Antarctica.

He is survived by his wife of 49+ years, Dorothy, as well as children, Jo Ann Fuess of Lincoln, NE, Steven Mitchell of Severna Park, MD, Mark Mitchell of Mansfield, TX, four grandchildren, his sister Doris Cohee of Dover and a number of nieces and nephews.

The memorial service is private, but condolences may be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com If you wish to make a memorial gift, the family suggests a contribution to the American Heart Association, 200 Continental Dr., Suite 101, Newark, DE 19713.

Harris, Gary B.

Gary B. "Butch" Harris, 63, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Kent General Hospital.

He was born on January 11, 1947 in Clarksburg, WV.

Gary served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy and Army during Vietnam for 10 years. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal and the Purple Heart. He later had worked as a carpet layer.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years Patricia Harris, his parents George and Patricia Harris, children Christopher L. Harris, William L. Harris, four stepchildren Jerry L. McHenry, Ronnie L. McHenry, Terry L. McHenry and Dawn M. Summers, three brothers Raymond E. Harris, Larry L. Harris and Richard L. Harris and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

There will be a visitation 2-4 pm Saturday, June 19 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Committal will be 2:00 pm Monday, June 21 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the funeral home to help with expenses.

Green, Joyce Mae Driggus

Joyce Mae Driggus Green was born on May 31, 1950 in Camden, Delaware to James and Phyllis Driggus. She suddenly went home to be with the Lord on July 2, 2010.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 41 years, William Green; parents, James and Phyllis Driggus; four daughters, Donna Green-Friend (Sean), Kertrina Green-Hite (Monroe), Willette Green-Robinson (Richard), and Candace Bell; sister, Jacklyn Driggus; three brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law; seven grandchildren, Shawndria Green, Christopher Friend, Monroe Hite, IV, Chase Robinson, Tykirra Robinson, Latoya Starling, Carmen Smith; goddaughter, Dana White; special loved ones in Doris Wiley and Shontesha Quail; and many aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and children that she has inspired and cared for over the years.

She was preceded in death by her brother, James Edward Driggus.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 6. Viewing will be from 9:00 to 11:00 that same day at Bibleway Temple Institutional COGIC.
