Haught, Kelly A. Ulp

Kelly A. Ulp Haught passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, January 17, 2011 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 35.

Kelly was born on June 24, 1975 in Jacksonville, FL. She was a graduate of Caesar Rodney Highschool and attended Oregon State University with a musical scholarship.

She worked at J.W.'s Restaurant and Bar as manager/bartender.

Kelly's hobbies included watersports, music, playing the French horn, watching romantic comedies and traveling. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Kelly was very active in her son Aidan's school and his activities, and participating in Relay for Life.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Paul and Florence Hoovler, George and Eva Ulp, Ray and Delores Haught, Buck and Sandy Wilburn, Uncle Paul Hoovler and a cousin Ed Hoovler.

Kelly is survived by her husband of two years and nine months TSgt. Duane Haught USAF, parents Patricia Hoovler Ulp of Dover, James and Gail Ulp of Virginia, like parents in care and love George and Sally Pippin of Camden, Pat and Carol Porcelli of New Jersey, children Aidan Donohue, Alexis Haught and Benjamin Haught, siblings Les and Melanie Settle of Delaware, Andy and Stephanie Belk of NC, nieces and nephews Alicia Vallenavedo, Alex and Ashley Settle, Zachary and Madison Belk, aunts and uncles Michael and Andrea Hoovler, Jeff and Pam Hoovler, Kate Sundstrom, Bill and Ruth Thompson, Dave and Sue Ulp, Dave and Kay Walker, Donna Ulp, Henry and Linda Briggs, cousins Peg Vincent, Carrie Hoovler, Paul Hoovler, Timothy Hoovler, Rebecca Hoovler, Craig Hoovler, Eric Sundstrom Jr., Chris Ulp, Stephanie Sturmfels, Mike Walker, Jeff Walker, Carolyn Vanderweghe, Kathy Falcone, Jeremy and April Cushman, Charlie Briggs and her special pets Izzy Hanna and Bella Luna, her second family of coworkers and friends at JW's Restaurant.

Services will be 7:00 pm Friday, January 21 at the Wyoming United Methodist Church, 216 Wyoming Mill Rd., Dover, where visitation and viewing will begin at 5:00 pm. Burial will be private.

Flowers are appreciated, but the family suggests Kelly would prefer gifts in her memory to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901.

Everett, Jr., Lewis W.

Lewis W. "Dickie" Everett, Jr. of Farmington, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2011 in Kent General Hospital. He was 69.

He was born on September 23, 1941 in Lewes, Delaware, son of the late Martha Ann and Lewis W. Everett, Sr.

Dickie served his country proudly in the United States Army before transferring to the U.S. Air Force Reserves. He completed with 20 years service retiring with the rank of Tech Sargeant.

He graduated from the 6th Municipal Class at the Delaware State Police training academy in 1973. Dickie worked his way through the ranks to become Chief of Police of the Camden-Wyoming Police Department, where he retired in 1994. He then worked for Webb Paving and most recently for Jonny Nichols Landscaping.

He enjoyed surf fishing, archery, camping, and NASCAR. The love of his life were his family and grandchildren.

Dickie was a life member of the Camden-Wyoming Fire Company and a member of the VFW.

He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings Thomasena Golden and Thomas (Tucky) Derrickson.

Dickie is survived by his wife of 24 years Marcia Everett, siblings Esther Wirth, Thelma Butler, Herby Everett, Josephine Parsons and Barbara Lane, three sons Aaron Jester and his wife Jackie, Ian Arias and Melchor Arias, four daughters Stephanie Jester and her husband Joe, Tracy Sargent and her husband Fran, Debbie Carter and her husband Richard and Denise Kowinski, grandchildren Anabella, Giada, Dimiana, Elijah, Malachi, Tyler, Zach, Jason, Christen, Taylor, Noah, Jeremy and Tyler and a host of nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be 6-9 pm Friday, January 18 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.

Service will be 11:00 am Saturday, January 22 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Camden-Wyoming Fire Company, P.O. Box 186, Camden-Wyoming, DE 19934.

Mielke, Arthur Dale

Arthur D. "Dale" Mielke passed away Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Kent General Hospital. He was 80.

Dale was born on May 22, 1930 in Lawrence County, PA, son of the late Irene (Cochran) and Reinhold Mielke. He was preceded by three brothers and a sister.

He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

Dale was a retired long-distance truck driver, and longtime member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

He enjoyed golfing, hunting and bowling. He loved the mountains in Pennsylvania where he would spend his summer months.

Dale is survived by a daughter Cynthia Moore and her husband Robert of Camden, a son Timothy Mielke and his wife Linda of New Castle, PA, five grandchildren Kristen and Adam Barnes, Matthew Francis and Alexis Moore all of Dover, Amanda and Bert Gerstnecker of Freedom, PA and Timothy Mielke of New Castle, PA and a great granddaughter Madeline Francis and his companion Phyllis Tarburton of Dover and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be 7 pm Wednesday, January 19 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather two hours earlier. Burial will be private in Oak Park Cemetery, New Castle, Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions in Dale's honor to the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation, 105 N. Front St., Suite 305, Harrisburg, PA 17101.

Kaczorowski, Jennifer Lynn

Jennifer Lynn Kaczorowski, 27, passed away Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, in her home.

She was born on June 25, 1983, in Abilene, Texas.

Jennifer graduated from Lake Forest, Class of 2001, where she was in the Band. She also played softball for Felton Little League. She previously worked as a technician for the Renal Care Center of Dover. She was a devoted mother.

She is survived by her parents, Bruce and Regina Kaczorowski of Felton; a daughter, Katelyn Carrizales of home; a brother, David and his wife Aimee of Frederica; maternal grandfather Angelo Vacchelli and his wife Barbara of North Hampton, Mass.; two uncles, Anthony Vacchelli and his wife Debra of Dover, Raymond Kaczorowski and wife Patricia of Westminster, Md.; an aunt, JoAnn Rasinski and her husband Robert of Baltimore, Md.; and many cousins and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State St., Dover. Burial will follow in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.

Although flowers are appreciated, the family requests donations to Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE 19934 to help with expenses.

Allen, Anna P.

Anna P. Allen of Camden passed away Monday, January 3, 2011 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 79.

Anna was born on January 25, 1931 in Greensboro, MD, daughter of the late John and Bertha (Hammel) McCeary.

She began her working career at a Greensboro Restaurant, later as a seamstress in a factory in Greensboro and later for Aimes in Dover where later she retired.

Anna was a Sunday school teacher in her earlier years. She enjoyed crocheting, crossword and word find puzzles, going to yard sales, traveling, playing the piano and loved music. She also loved going to beach where she also had a home at Pot Nets.

She is preceded in death by a daughter Barbara J. Seidl, a son John T. Allen, a sister Edna Zierl.

Anna is survived by her husband of 63 years Thomas E. Allen, a daughter Karen Jarrel, son-in-law Tony Seidl, daughter-in-law Sheila Allen, sister Mary Monroe, grandchildren Iven E. Wolf, Peggy L. Tupman, john T. Allen and Gregory T. Domino, great grandchildren Lexus Allen, John Allen III, Aaliyah Allen, Donovan Allen, Kamayra Allen, Deej Tupman and Brydjette Tupman, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be 1:00 pm Friday, January 7 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather one hour earlier. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.

Cooper, Gary Wayne

Gary W. Cooper died Saturday, January 1st at his home. He was 50 years old. Gary was born on January 28, 1960 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Stanley Cooper and Constance Cooper (Jones). He is survived by his wife Kathleen Cooper, his daughters Ciani Cooper and Tamika Wright, his sons DiaMonte Cooper and Sean, brothers Timothy Cooper and Jermaine Cooper, step sister Vicky, Step Father Charles Chambers, Aunt Uganda Sumner, a cousin Omni Truesdale, Grandmother Bernice Sumner, and numerous brothers and sisters in law

Gary loved to tinker, and nothing made him happier than taking something apart and putting it back together again. Gary Boy or Maud, as he was affectionately known, also enjoyed NASCAR, with Jeff Gordon being his favorite driver, and he thrilled at getting a strike when he was out hitting the bowling lanes.

Services will be held Saturday, January 8th at the Pippin Funeral Home 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE. Friends may gather for a viewing at 11 am with service to follow at 12 pm Noon. Burial will follow at Barratts Chapel Cemetery. Friends may send flowers, or make donations to the funeral home in order to assist with funeral expenses.
