Duvall, Blanche S.
Blanche S. Duvall of Wyoming died Sunday July 15, 2001 at Bay health Kent General Hospital in Dover. She was 73.
Ms. Duvall was born June 11, 1928 in Goldsboro, MD to the late Harry Seward and Elsie Wheeler Seward and was raised in the Marydel, MD area.
She worked at Playtex for forty years as an Advertising Correspondent Supervisor, retiring in 1990.
Ms. Duvall was a member of the Modern Maturity Center in Dover and the Harrington Senior Center, where she volunteered for crafts. She enjoyed quilting for her children, flower gardening, and traveling the United States and overseas.
She was preceded in death by an infant son in 1956 and a brother William "Billy" Seward in 1989.
Ms. Duvall is survived by; five daughters, Rebecca Puglia of Cary, N.C., Rita Perone of Camden, Rosalie Austin of Townsend, Carla O'Neal of Clayton and Kimberly Gunter of Marydel, DE: two brothers, Henry Seward of Bridgeton, N.J., and Charles Seward of Mansfield,OH: five sisters, Louise Bowdle of Marydel, MD, Emma Lamb of Viola, Ida Freeman of Felton, Jeanette Melvin of Marydel, MD, and Elsie Toulson of Sudlersville, Md. She is also survived by; seven grandchildren, Anthony Puglia, Paula "Dee" Perone , Anthony Perone, Paul Perone II, Matthew Puglia, David Armor, and Nicole Armor; and nine great grandchildren, Shane Austin, Taylor Carroll, Anthony Perone II, Shanyn Austin, Kevin Perone, Alyssa Austin, Kayla Perone, Dorian Perone, and Gage Bickel.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, July 19, 2001 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover. Friends may call from 7-9 pm Wednesday evening. Interment will be in the Templeville Cemetery, Templeville, MD.
There will also be a Celebration of her Life following the interment at the Camden Wyoming Moose Lodge, Wyoming, De.
Lynch, Anna E.
Anna E. Lynch of Little Creek died Thursday, June 28, 2001 in Courtland Manor after a long illness. She was 90.
Mrs. Lynch was born in Accomac, Virginia on August 20, 1910 to the late Willis and Radie Gillespie Smith.
She had retired from Playtex.
Mrs. Lynch was a life member of the Little Creek Vol. Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter I. Lynch, Sr.
She is survived by a son and his wife, Walter I. Lynch, Jr. and Margaret of Dover; a grandson and his wife, Robert W. Lynch of Hartly; and three great granddaughters, Jill, Pamela, and Lauren.
Funeral Services will be held 2PM Monday, July 2, 2001 in Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford St., Dover. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Little Creek Volunteer Fire Co., Main Street, Little Creek, DE 19961.
Hausler, Karl L.
Karl L. Hausler , age 83 of Felton, DE, died at his home on Thursday, July 19, 2001.
Mr. Hausler served in the US Air Force during WWII in the 242 Bomb Squad and was a B17 Crew Chief stationed in Grand Island Nebraska. Mr. Hausler retired in 1980 from the Continental Can Co. in Passaic, NJ and the National Cup Co. in Dover, DE. After his retirement, he spent his winters in Florida where he participated in a 40 member choral group entertaining at local nursing homes and RV parks. He belonged to the American Legion Post # 2 in Dover, the AARP, Harrington Senior Center, Milford Senior Center, Dover Modern Maturity Center, and the Felton United Methodist Church. His past memberships included Family Campers and RV’s, 55 Bowling League – Milford, and the Dover Dance Club. Some of his greatest childhood memories were meeting aviator Charles A. Lindburg, and going to Yankee Stadium where he met Babe Ruth and Joe Dimagio.
Mr. Hausler is preceded in death by his parents Julius Edwin and Emma Hausler. He is also preceded in death by his first wife of 34 years Shirley Herman Hausler, a daughter Suzanne H. Kovatch, and a stepdaughter Patricia Cox Rawding.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years Musetta Cox Hausler, a daughter and son-in-law Karlene H. and Roger Noble of Pensacola, FL, a son-in-law Ernest Kovatch of Newark, his stepdaughters Janet Mitchell of Milford, Shirley Brewington of Amarillo, TX, and Barbara Boone of Viola, a stepson Charles Cox of Milford, a sister and her husband Lillian and William Trenton of Rutherford, NJ, a step son-in-law George Rawding, Jr. of Felton, 2 brother-in-laws and their wifes James and Priscilla Moore and John E. and Carol Moore all of Felton, 2 grandchildren, 13 step grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 14 step great grandchildren.
Services will be Sunday, July 22, 2001, at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 7 to 9 PM. The Reverend Dr. Philip Lawton of the Felton United Methodist Church will officiate. Internment will be at Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica, DE.

Hobbs, Russell Everett
Russell Everett "Bob" Hobbs of Magnolia died, after a long illness, Wednesday,
June 27, 2001 in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 59.
Mr. Hobbs was born July 27, 1941, in Milford, son of the late Russell F. and Evearita Syrek Hobbs.
He was a self-employed home-improvement contractor until becoming disabled.
He also enjoyed boating and fishing in the Rehoboth and Delaware bays.
Mr. Hobbs was a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge 534.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Bette J. Hobbs of Magnolia; a son, Gary Navone of Vineland, N.J.; three daughters, Susan Davenport of Palatka, Fla., Diane Simpkins of Magnolia and Bobbi Lynn Gainer of Camden; two brothers, Curtis Hobbs and David Hobbs, both of Dover; a sister, Ruth Ann Robinson of Fort Collins, Colo.; and 13 grandchildren.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Evans, John P.
John P. Evans of Dover died Sunday, June 24, 2001, in his home, He was 45.
Mr. Evans was born Aug. 6, 1955, in Jersey City, N.J.
He had served his country in the U.S. Marines.
He had worked as a maintenance supervisor of several apartment complexes, including Country Village in Dover, Drummond Hill in Newark and May Fair Apartments in Rodney Village, Dover.
Mr. Evans enjoyed fishing in Lewes and Bowers Beach, vegetable gardening and traveling. He was a loving and giving person. He touched the hearts and lives of everyone who knew him. He was always there if you needed his help. He was the type of person that would give you his last dollar even if he had no food for himself. He was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. In not so many words, he meant the world to a world of people. We love you and will miss you always.
He is survived by his wife, Verna Evans of Dover; two daughters, Desiree Evans and Destiny Evans, both of Lewes; two stepsons, Charles Tucker of Smyrna and Christopher Tucker of Felton; two stepdaughters, Stacy Walsh of Camden and Tiffany Hernandez of Milton; his parents, Thomas and Eleanor Miller of Swarthmore, Pa., and Hannah Jane Evans of Springfield, Pa.; a brother, Jerry Liddel of Swarthmore; a sister, Margaret Mayo of Swarthmore; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road in Dover, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.
Painter, Don Wilson
Don Wilson Painter of Dover died Tuesday, June 26, 2001, in Bayhealth-Kent General
Hospital, Dover. He was 72.
Mr. Painter was born March 18, 1929, in Three Springs, Pa., son of the late William and Onetta Painter.
He moved to Dover in 1959 while being stationed at the Dover Air Force Base.
Mr. Painter was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a master sergeant and flight engineer after serving his country for 22 years.
After retiring from the service, he worked for the state of Delaware as a lieutenant on the night shift at the Delaware Correctional Center in Smyrna and also drove for the Dover Post.
The love of his life was his family and flying.
Mr. Painter was a member of the American Legion Walter L. Fox Post 2 in Dover, the F.O.P. Lodge in Kitts Hummock, and the Wilderness Sportsman Club.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Annie Lois Painter of Dover; four sons, Wyman Eugene Painter and his wife, Nancy of Clayton, Stanley Earle Painter of Dover, Donnie William Painter and his fiancée, Jitka of Dover; and David Wilson Painter and his wife, Carol of Seaford; a brother, James Arthur Painter of Alexandria, Pa.; four granddaughters and a great-grandson.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear.
Wojton, Ellen Joan
Ellen Joan Wojton, age 68, of Harrington, DE, died at Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital, July 19, 2001.
She was born to the late Leo E. and Ellen M. Gaffeney in Newark, NJ.
Mrs. Wojton worked as a school teacher for the New Jersey State School System for 40 years. During that time she acquired her Masters Degree from Rutgers College. Mrs. Wojton belonged to the National AARP and to the Milford Chapter, the Milford Senior Center, St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Harrington, and the National Education Association of the United States.
She is survived by a devoted companion and good friend Robert Shultie of Harrington.
Services will be Tuesday, July 24, 2001 at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington at 10:00 AM with a viewing one hour prior to the service. The Reverend Luis Pacheco of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Harrington will officiate. Internment will be at the Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown, PA.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the St. Bernadette Church, 506 Seabury Ave., Milford, DE 19963-2217, or to a favorite charity.
