Emma M. Gilmore

Age 83, of Wilmington, DE died Tuesday July 21, 2001 in St. Francis Hospital

Emma was a lab technician for the DuPont Company at the Chestnut Run site for many years, retiring in 1976. She then worked for Three Little Bakers Dinner Theatre until the present time. She is the wife of the late James A. Gilmore.

Emma is survived by her son, James A. Gilmore, Jr. of Newark, DE, her daughter Marjorie Gilmore-MacDonald of Linwood, PA, her sisters, Lillie Ballod of Aston, PA and Bertha Reilly of Glen Mills, PA. 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren also survive her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at the Resurrection Parish, 3000 Videre Drive, Skyline Ridge, Wilmington, on Saturday August 4th, at 10:30 am. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call the DOHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 3200 Limestone Rd, Pike Creek, on Saturday morning from 9-10 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Emma may be sent to the Visiting Nurses Association, #1 Read's Way, New Castle, DE 19720.

Kuhling, Martha

Willow Grove--Martha Kuhling of Willow Grove died Monday, July 30, 2001 at home. She was 78.

Mrs. Kuhling was born on November 18, 1922 in Brooklyn, New York daughter of the late Lydia (Dikau) Lemp and Edward Lemp.

Mrs. Kuhling was a dedicated homemaker, mother and military wife to her husband of 55 years retired Army Major Walter W. Kuhling.

Mrs. Kuhling attended the Woodside United Methodist Church. Her family was a source of great joy. She enjoyed family card games, bingo and yard work. She also enjoyed needlework, knitting and crocheting.

In addition to her husband she is survived by five sons Walter J. Kuhling and his wife Glyn of Snellville, Georgia, William E. Kuhling and his wife Susan of Loveland, Colorado, Arthur E. Kuhling of Perryhall, Maryland Pastor Edward J. Kuhling and his wife Linda of Bridgeville, and Robert J. Kuhling and his wife Susan of Dover, two brothers Edward Lemp of Smyrna, and Artie Lemp of Hawley, Pennsylvania. 10 grandchildren, Kelley Edwards of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Kimberly Kuhling of Snellville, Georgia, Walter Scott Kuhling of Snellville, Georgia, Matthew Kuhling of Loveland, Colorado, John Kuhling of Loveland, Colorado, Kyle Kuhling of Bridgeville, Jack Harrell, of Lawrenceville, , Mary Gray of Jamesborough, TN, Jennifer Kennedy of Washington, DC and Allison Greenly of San Francisco, CA, and two great grandchildren Gordon Gray and Zachery Gray both of Jamesborough, TN.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 West Camden-Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, where friends may call this (Thursday) evening from 7 to 9 p.m.

Pastor Edward J. Kuhling, Rev. Frank O. Sutton and Rev. Milton B. Kemp will officiate.

Burial will be in Odd Fellows cemetery, Camden.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, Lotus Plaza, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.

Donald E. Meadows

Age 33 of North East, MD died, Wednesday, August 1, 2001 at Union Hospital, Elkton, MD.

Mr. Meadows enjoyed computers, shooting pool and bowling.

He is survived by his parents, Linda and James Holley of North East, MD; his brother Nathan Holley, also of North East and his sister, Theresa Baker of Glasgow, DE.

Service will be held 10:00am, Saturday, August 4, 2001 at the R.T. FOARD & JONES FUNERAL HOME, 122 West Main St., Newark, DE where family and friends may visit on Friday evening, August 3, from 7-9pm. Interment will follow the service in All Saints Cemetery, Newark, DE.

Walker, John C.

HARRINGTON -- John C. Walker, of Harrington died Wednesday, July 25, 2001 at home. He was 59.

Mr. Walker was born on May 27, 1942 in Winder, Georgia.

Before becoming disable he had worked as a machine operator for a fabric store in Greenwood.

He is survived by his mother Elizabeth Wilkins of Orlando, Florida, a son John V. Walker of Harrington, two daughters Mary Walker of Dover and Ina Seaton of Harrington, a sister Earlene Harvey of Orlando, Florida, 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Services and burial will be private.

Arrangements are by Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming.

Schultz, John A.

John A. Schultz, 43, Juith Road, Hartly, passed away Saturday July 28, 2001 at KGH Bay Health Dover.

He was born on March 18, 1958 in Pittsburgh, PA to Emil and Margaret (Davin) Schultz.

John attended C.R. High School and later went on to get his GED in Cal. He returned to DE and attended Del. Tech. he majored in human services. He went on to become a drug and alcohol counslar and then a program director for NET. His hobbies includes NASCAR and NHRA racing, camping, traveling..

He is survived by Wife, Linda McGinnis Schultz of Hartly, DE. Father, Emil Schultz of Camden/Wyoming, DE. Mother, Margaret Schultz of Camden/Wyoming, DE. Brother and his wife, Andrew and Regina Schultz of Woodside, DE. Brother and his wife, Barry and Marjory Schultz of Aberdeen, MD. Sister and her husband, Patricia and William Bogetti of Magnolia, DE. nephew, Brandon Bogetti of Magnolia, DE. nephew, Brian Bogetti of Magnolia, DE. nephew, Adam Schultz of , DE. nephew, Paul Schultz of , DE. neice, Kelley Schultz of , DE. , Brother and Sister in Law Mike & Donna Ellis of Margate, FL.

Remembrance Services will be held 08/02/2001 07:00 PM at Trader Funeral Home in Dover, DE Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Loftin, Laura

WYOMING -- Laura "Nan" Loftin of Wyoming, died Sunday, July 29, 2001 in Bayhealth/Kent General Hospital, Dover, after a long battle with cancer.

She was born in Camden, New Jersey on September 14, 1937, daughter of the late Clara M. (Wood) and Carl Tuttle.

Prior to her illness she was employed at Dawon Bus Service, Inc. as an aide for the Charlton School. She was also an avid bowler and bingo player.

She was a member of the Loyal Order of Elks Ladies Auxiliary and a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Camden-Wyoming Fire Company.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years Henry Loftin, a son and daughter-in- law Jack and Lisa Loftin of Camden, a daughter Kim Minnick of Dover, three brothers Carl Tuttle, Robert Tuttle and George Tuttle all of New Jersey, her Aunt Laura Tribbett of Wyoming; five grandchildren Sareana Engelgau of Newark, Jesse Engelgau of Dover, Ryan Minnick of Dover, Katie Loftin of Camden and Sammy Loftin of Camden and lots of cousins and friends throughout the country.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 West Camden-Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, where the family will receive friends two hours before the services.

Burial will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover

Windsor, Florence Scott

SEAFORD -- Florence Eaton Scott Windsor of Seaford died Saturday,

July 28, 2001 in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. She was 85.

Mrs. Windsor was born in Concord, Maryland, on September 20, 1915, daughter of the late William G. and Viola (Vickery) Eaton.

She married and moved to Easton, Maryland to raise a family. While in Easton she was employed at McCroy's Laundry and Dry Cleaners as a press operator and later moved to Delaware until her retirement. After retiring she then moved to Seaford.

Mrs. Windsor loved to watch television, especially the soap operas. She also enjoyed animals especially dogs and birds.

She is predeceased by her second husband William T. Windsor.

She is survived by three sons George William Scott of Dover, Carrollton Lee Scott of Wyoming and Carlton Leo Scott of Camden, three sisters Catherine Robbs of Harrington, Jane Kibler of Denton, MD and Doris Towers of Federalsburg, MD, six grandchildren Billy Scott of Milton, Vickie Scott of Viola, Carroll Lee Scott of Hurlock, MD, Penny Scott of Viola, Carlton Leo Scott, Jr. of Felton, and Lisa Faith Scott of Bethlehem, MD and two great grandchildren Shawnee Scott of Bridgeville and Koday Allen Custer of Bethlehem, MD.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Pippin Funeral Home,

119 West Camden-Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, where the family will receive friends one hour before services.

Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.

Jacqueline C. Solge (Gabraeil)

Age 72 of Wilmington, DE died Friday, July 27, 2001 at home with her family.

Mrs. Solge was a homemaker and a secretary and treasurer for Gabraeil's Floor Covering, a family business established in 1917 by her father. She lived in Wilmington all her life and was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph F. Solge, Sr. who died in 1997; and her parents, H. Zei and Jeannine Gabreaeil. She is survived by her sons and daughters, Joseph F. Solge, Jr., and his wife Judy of Middletown, DE, James M. Solge and his wife Sharon of Wilmington, Jazqueline M. Louge and her husband Jim of Middletown, DE, Jefrey Solge and his wife Andrea of Hockessin, DE, John J. Solge and his wife Patti, of Wilmington and Janine A. Davis and her husband Eric of Richmond, VA; and 14 grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdelen Church, Concord Pike & Sharpley Road. On Tuesday morning, July 31, 2001 at 10:30 am. Entombment will be in Cathedral Cemetery. Friends may call the DOHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek on Monday evening from 6-9 pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be mad to Delaware Hospice, Inc., 3515 Silverside Rd, Clayton Bldg., Suite 100 Wilmington, DE 19810.

Norman Francis McCallister "Reds"

Age 91, of Wilmington, DE died, Saturday, July 28, 2001 at the Christiana hospital, Newark, DE.

Mr. McCallister was self-employed for over forty years with the McCallister Brothers (homebuilders) where he worked with his two brothers, the late Carl L. and Edward A. McCallister. Norman was an Army veteran of the 166th engineers. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. His memberships included 56 yrs. with both the Armstrong Masonic Lodge # 26 of Newport, and 32nd degree of the Delaware Consistory, member of both the Nur and Boimi Temples, Richardson Park United Methodist Church, Brandywine Rod and Gun Club and a life membership with the Wilmington Trapshooting Association.

Norman was the best father, grandfather, husband, and friend. He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 yrs. Elizabeth M. McCallister. Mr. McCallister is survived by his 2 daughters, Ellen Willard and Ruth Kilmon; son-in-law Richard T. Kilmon all of Wilmington, DE and 4 grandchildren, Julie and David Willard, and Ryan and Rebecca Kilmon.

Services will be held 11am, Wednesday, August 1, 2001 at the Richardson Park United Methodist Church, N Maryland Ave. and Matthes Ave. Richardson Park, where family and friends may call from 7- 9pm Tuesday July 31. A Masonic Service will also be held at the church Tuesday evening at 7:30pm. Burial will be held in the White Clay Creek Cemetery, Newark, following the service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Richardson Park U.M.C. in c/o the Robert T. Foard and Jones funeral home, 122 W. Main St. Newark, De 19711.
