Mosley, Rev. Hirschel Alton
Reverend Hirschel Alton Mosley of Upper Deerfield Township, N.J. formerly of the Milford-Dover Delaware area died Wednesday, September 5, 2001 at his home .He had been in failing health for the past four years and has been at his present address for two years. He was 78.
Mr. Mosley was born in Milford, on November 26, 1922. God called our husband, father, grand father , brother, uncle, and friend to come unto Him and receive Eternal rest on Sept. 5, 2001. He was the youngest of four sons born to the late Horace V. Mosley and Margaret Seeney Mosley and the husband of Hilda Mosley, they had celebrated 57 years of marriage.
Rev. Mosley was called to preach God’s Ministry in March, 1951 and served in Delaware and New Jersey as pastor of several churches until his retirement in November of 1987. He built a new church in Fair Haven, N.J. and his ministry in South Jersey. He retired to Delaware after 35 year of ministry.
He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge in Milton, DE for many years and was made an Honorary member of his Lodge. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army in the Asian Theater.
Besides his wife, he leaves behind; a son, Charles Mosley and his wife Sarah of Felton, DE; two daughters, Patricia Mosley Durham and her husband Perry of Bridgeton, N.J.and Cynthia Mosley Carney and her husband Stephen of Fayettville, N.C.; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren; one brother, Samuel G. Mosley of Milford, De; a sister-in-law, Ella Mae Mosley, Milford, DE and many nieces, nephews, and his church family and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Reginald and H. Vernon Mosley.
Funeral services will be 1pm Saturday, September 8, 2001 at the Torbert Funeral Chapel 61 S. Bradford St. Dover DE where friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time. Interment will be in the Immanuel Union United Methodist Church Cemetery, Cheswold, DE.
Reynolds, Sr., Leonard C.
Leonard C. Reynolds Sr. of Greenwood, Delaware, died in Beebe Hospital, Lewes, Delaware, Thursday April 19, 2001.
He was 80.
Mr. Reynolds was born May 3, 1920 near Smyrna, Delaware, the son of the late Aaron T. and Ida Argo Reynolds.
Mr. Reynolds worked as a supervisor for the State of Delaware for several years before retirement.
He attended Smyrna High School and 2 years at Goldey Beacom College.
He was a World War II veteran of the Army Airborne and received the Purple Heart after being wounded in the Ardennes Forrest Campaign.
He was a member of the Men’s Club of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Milford, Delaware and enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruth L. Reynolds;
2 sons, John W. Reynolds of Wilmington, Delaware and Leonard C. Reynolds Jr. of Milford, Delaware; 1 brother, Allen T. Reynolds of Clayton, Delaware, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Services will be Sunday April 22, 2001 at 2PM in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street Smyrna, Delaware, where friends may call 1 hour before services.
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery Smyrna, Delaware.

Shermeyer, Jeanne E.
Jeanne E. Shermeyer of Dover died Wednesday, August 15, 2001 in Silver Lake Center Nursing & Rehabilitation in Dover. She was 76.
Mrs. Shermeyer was born on March 23, 1925 in Braddock, PA to the late Walter and Margaret Gray McCrea. She moved to Delaware a year ago to be with her daughter, Bonnie Slentz.
She had worked as an Office Manager for over 25 years for Union Carbide Corp. in Robinson Township, PA.
Mrs. Shermeyer was a member of the St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Imperial, PA and the Union Carbide Retirement Association. She also enjoyed camping and other outdoor activities.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Shermeyer, in 1983.
Mrs. Shermeyer is survived by a son, Ken Shermeyer of Clinton, PA; a daughter, Bonnie Slentz and her husband, George of Dover, DE; and two grandchildren, Jennie Slentz of New York City and Matthew Slentz of Dover, DE.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Monday, August 20, 2001 in the St. Collumbkille Catholic Church, Route 30 , Imperial, PA. Friends may call 8:30AM to 9:30AM Monday, August 20, 2001 at the Moody Funeral Home, Route 30, Clinton, PA . Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

Green, Isabel Townsend
Isabel Townsend Green of Flovilla, Georgia died on Sunday, September 9, 2001 at her residence after an illness of several weeks. She was 78 years old.
Mrs. Green was born August 10, 1923 in Dover, Delaware to the late Luther C. and Geneva Laramore Townsend. She was a homemaker and the widow of the late Elmer Green.
She is survived by one daughter, Jerry Lynn Funderburk of Flovilla, Ga., one son, Eugene Green, Jr. of Buford, Ga., grandchildren, Matthew and Michael Gooden and Melissa Smith, all of Georgia; thirteen great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, Janet Parker of Cartersville, Ga., Tommy Townsend of Sandtown, De., John Townsend of Milford, De., Genevie Wambold of Sandtown, De., and Pauline Luff of Dewey Beach, De.
Funeral services for Mrs. Green are being held in Jackson, Georgia on Wednesday, September 12th at the Sherrell, Wilson, Mangham Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held in Dover on Saturday, September 15th at 2 PM in Sharon Hills Memorial Park.

Molin, Thelma S.
Thelma S. Molin, age 76, of Sharpley, Wilmington, DE died peacefully at her home on Monday, April 1, 2002. She will be forever treasured in the hearts and memories of all who loved her. Known as a very organized coordinator and communicator, as well as a gracious hostess, she was an integral part of the lives of many. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and dedicated friend.
Born in St. Petersburg, Florida, she grew up in Wilmington and graduated from P.S. DuPont High School where she was an officer in her class, a member of the Girls Leader Corps, and involved in sports and many other activities. She played on the Wilmington “Blue Bomberettes”, a semi-professional basketball team for women, where she was affectionately known as “Stevie”. She worked with Bell Atlantic as a service representative, instructor, and business office supervisor retiring after 35 years in 1988.
In 1949 she married Gunnar A. Molin who had served 32 months overseas during World War II. They were active members of Grace Baptist Church for many years where she served as a deaconess, treasurer, president of the women’s society and Sunday school teacher. More recently they attended Brandywine Valley Baptist Church and were faithful to several Bible studies and other activities.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years; her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Lori Molin of Mt. Cuba, DE; her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Brad Smith of Radley Run, PA; grandson Micah Molin, granddaughters Alyssa Molin and Madison Smith; nieces and nephews; and dozens of devoted friends.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, April 4 at the Brandywine Valley Baptist Church, 7 Mt. Lebanon Road, Wilmington, DE 19803, at 11:00 A.M. where friends may call after 10:00 A.M.. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the church’s building fund.

Dobies, Thomas A.
Thomas A. Dobies Sr. of Smyrna, Delaware, died Wednesday April 17, 2002 in Bayhealth/Kent General Hospital, Dover, Delaware.
He was 55.
Mr. Dobies was born July 21, 1946 in Wilmington, Delaware, the son of the late Charles F. and Blanche Bors Dobies.
Mr. Dobies worked in Newark, Delaware as a theater manager and projectionist for I.A.T.S.E. #473 for many years before retiring due to disability.
He enjoyed baking, gardening, photography, baseball and spending time with his family.
He was a member of St. Polycarp’s Roman Catholic Church in Smyrna.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles F. Dobies in 1997.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Barkovic Dobies; 2 sons, Thomas A. Dobies Jr. of New Castle, Delaware and Daniel T. Dobies at home; 2 daughters, Alicia Anne and Eva M. Dobies both at home; 2 sisters, Margaret Nagy and Valerie Dangel both of Newark, Delaware and a grandson, Andrew Miazga Jr. of New Castle, Delaware.
Mass of Christian burial will be offered Saturday April 20, 2002 at 10AM in St. Polycarp’s Roman Catholic Church, 135 Ransom Lane Smyrna, Delaware, where friends may call 1 hour before services.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery Dover, Delaware.
