Died November 4, 2006 at home in Virgiana.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; son Paul (Miriam), daughter Janet (Gary) Lissak; sister Estelle Roth; 5 grandchildren, David, Andy and Adam Lissak, Jonathan and Jordan Scherer; and 2 great-grandsons, Nathan and Chase Lissak.

Graveside services will be Sunday, November 5, 2006 at 2:30 PM in Beth Emeth Memorial Park. Shiva will observed Sunday, November 5 at 7:30 PM at 2216 Nassau Dr., Holiday Hills, Wilmington, DE.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Congration Bet Emeth 300 W. Lea Blvd. Wilmington, DE 19802 or the Jewish Community Center 101 Garden of Eden Road Wilmington, DE 19803.

William N. Teat "Bill"

Age 55 of Newark, DE, departed this life suddenly on October 31, 2006.

Mr. Teat worked as a bus driver with the Red Clay School District for 17 years. He enjoyed fishing, going to flee markets and yard sales.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Anita L. Teat; and a host of relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Teat; 2 sisters, Marjorie Teat and Debra Teat.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 from 10-11 am, in the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd., Newark, DE 19702 followed by a service celebrating Bill's Life at 11 am. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be sent to the American Diabetes Foundation, Suite 1002, 100 W. 10th St., Wilm., DE 19801.

James Edward West, Sr.

Age 41, of Dover, DE, went home to be with the Lord, on October 28, 2006.

James was the son of Daisy West and James Reed, stepson of James West. He is also survived by his daughter, Mekessa; sons, James and Jaron; he was a brother to, Greg (Jeanese), Rodney (Latya), Wynoa (Walt), Rose, Robin (Ronald), June (Michael), Patricia, Jonathan, Colleen, Jackie, Meloni and Darle; also survived by 2 aunts; 1 uncle; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Service will be held 11 am, Monday, November 6, 2006 at Union Missionary Baptist Church, 883 Lincoln St., Dover, DE. Viewing 9-11 am. Interment at Whatcoat UM Church cemetery.

Wilmer F. Williams

Age 93, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on October 28, 2006.

Rudy was the owner-operator of Williams' Gulf Stations, located at Prices Corner, and Maryland Ave./ Boxwood Road. He was an Army veteran of WW II, serving in Patton's 3rd Army in Europe, and retired from the Army Reserve in 1973 with the rank of Lt. Colonel. Rudy was the former Republican State Senator from Roselle and Elsmere, and ran for U.S. Congress in 1962. He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Millcreek Hundred, The Greenhill Lions Club, The American Legion Post # 29 in Stanton, the Boy Scouts of America, and The Friends of Brandywine Springs. For many years he enjoyed preparing his yard and gardens for display on Wilmington Garden Day.

His beloved wife, Rebecca "Becky" Williams, a well-known teacher at Conrad H.S. and Oak Grove, Jr. High died in 1992. Rudy is survived by his son, W. Thomas Williams and his wife, Patricia H. of Wilmington, DE; 2 granddaughters, Sarah E. Williams-Marchetta and her husband, Ryan, and Ann R. Deas and her husband, Patrick; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at the MCCRERY MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3710 Kirkwood Highway at Duncan Road on Tuesday evening November 7, 2006 from 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 8, at 10 am, at St. James Episcopal Church, 2106 St. James Church Road, Wilm., DE 19808. Interment will be in the Odd Fellows cemetery, Smyrna, DE.

Contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, Delaware Chapter, 2306 Kirkwood Highway, Wilm., DE 19805; or The Greenhill Lions Club, P.O. Box 5913, Wilm., DE 19808.

Paul Wesley Woodrow, Sr.

Age 77, of New Castle, DE, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 3, 2006.

Affectionately known as "Woody", Mr. Woodrow retired from Diamond State Telephone Co., after 40 years of service. Mr. Woodrow was a dedicated family man, devoted to his wife of 52 years, and a friend to all. Woody enjoyed bicycling, watching sports and old movies, and collecting and refurbishing things for others. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. A patriotic man, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, on the USS Midway. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Woodrow is survived by his wife Mary Ann; a son, Paul W. Woodrow Jr.; and his daughters, Kathleen Ferwerda, Suzanne Kearns, Mary Ellen Senss, and Bonnie Walls; along with their spouses; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

A service in celebration of Mr. Woodrow's life will be held on Monday, November 6, at the Bible Fellowship Church of Newark, 808 Old Baltimore Pike, Newark, DE 19702, at 11 am where friends may call after 10 am. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, DE.

STRANO & FEELEY FAMILY FUNERAL HOME

Mamie T. DiFilippo

Age 85, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully at St. Francis Hospital on Thursday, November 30, 2006.

Born in Wilmington, Miss DiFilippo was the daughter of the late Frank and Madeline (Nicoletti) DiFilippo and sister of the late John DiFilippo. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church. Several cousins survive her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am, on Tuesday, December 5, at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 9th and Dupont Streets, Wilmington. Interment will follow at All Saints cemetery, Wilmington.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Antonian, 1701 West 10th Street, Wilmington, DE 19805.

Lt. Col. Richard G. Hazell "Dick"

Richard G. Hazell, age 73, formerly of Lewisville, PA, passed away November 18, 2006, at his home, in Boynton Beach, FL.

He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth M. Hazell, with whom he shared 26 years of marriage. Born in Beverly, MA, he was the son of the late George and Anita Hazell. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 14 years and as a full-time pilot for the Delaware Air National Guard for 19 years. He retired in 1988. His favorite pastimes included classical music, bagpipes, playing chess, spending time with his grandchildren and playing practical jokes.

In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by his children, Nancie Turner and her husband, John of Newark, DE, Susan Fifield and her companion, Daniel Botkin of Landenberg, PA, Cathy Hazell and her husband, Russ Kleinbach of Philadelphia, PA, Laura Palmer and her husband, Jeff of Warwick, MD, Becky Tosun and her husband, Guray of Wilmington, DE, Kathy Miller of Kembleville, PA, Lorraine Spencer of Kennett Square, PA, Donna Taylor of Boynton Beach, FL; sisters and brother, Carol Larcom and her husband, of Venus, FL, Martha Hazell, of Beverly, MA, Ann Durrell and her husband, of Olympia, WA, preceded in death by his brother, John Hazell, of Beverly, MA; also survived by 17 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for family and friends will be held at 10 am, on Wednesday, December 6, 2006, at Kennett Square Missionary Baptist Church, 408 Bayard Road, Kennett Square, PA. Interment will be held at 1 pm, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to DE National Guard & Reserve Emergency Assistance Fund, 1st Regiment Road, Wilmington, DE 19808.

Mother Credella Jones

Age 71, of Wilmington, DE, departed this life on Mon., Nov. 27, 2006, at Heartland Hospice.She was born on May 25, 1935, to the late Helen Lewis. She was a faithful member of Bethel Pentecostal. Credella enjoyed shopping at thrift shops, family friends & church fellowship.

She is survived by a devoted friend and caretaker, Irene Gordon; 1 daughter, Aquanetta Jones; 3 sons, Alan Jones (Gwendolyn), Javan Jones, Javon Jones (Larissa); 2 sisters, Frances "Ann" Bell(James) & Barbara Washington(George); devoted cousins Priscilla Ringgold(Raymond); 1 grandson who she raised as her own, Anthony Jones; 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; & a host of other family and friends.

A service will be held at 12 noon, on Monday, December 4, 2006, at Bethel Pentecostal Church, 2300 N. Pine St., Wilmington, DE. Viewing 10 am-12 noon. Interment in Gracelawn Memorial Park.

Wilmer E. Abbott, Jr.

Age 87, longtime resident of Marshallton, DE, and Long Neck, DE, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2006.

Mr. Abbott was a supervisor in the maintenance department for GM where he worked for 30 years, retiring in 1972. He was an army veteran of WW II, serving in the Pacific theatre in New Guinea. He was a retired volunteer fireman from the Mill Creek Fire Co., where he was Asst. Chief. Mr. Abbott was a member of the American Legion Post #28 in Millsboro, an avid hunter and fisherman in the Long Neck area and a longtime award winning trap shooter.

He is survived by his sons, William Abbott and his wife, Donna of Bear, DE, Bruce Abbott of Newport, DE; his sister, Betty Manley of Newark, DE; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter. He was predeceased by his wife, Marcella, in January, 2006; his son, Wilmer Abbott, III; and his brothers, Tom, Luther, Paul, and Eddie.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 8, at 10 am, at the DOHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek, where friends may call after 9 am. Burial will be private.

Flowers may be sent or a contribution may be made to the Millcreek Fire Co., 3900 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE 19808.
