Janice C. Charlton

Janice C. Charlton, age 63, of Carneys Point, NJ, died on Sunday, July 2, 2006, at Christiana Hospital, in Newark, DE.

Born in Salem to the late Joseph and Sallie Charlton, she lived in Carneys Point until 1976, when she moved to Wilmington, DE, where she lived until returning to Carneys Point in 1989. She graduated from Penns Grove High School in 1961, and from Goldey Beacom College, where she completed the general secretarial course. Ms. Carlton retired in 1997 from the Federal Internal Revenue Service, where her post of duty was the Wilmington, DE office. She received many awards and commendations throughout her 35 years of service. She was a member of St. James RC Church, in Penns Grove. She enjoyed family gatherings, needlework, carft shows, dolls, bears, miniature pitcher collecting, and computer word games.

Ms. Carlton was predeceased by a sister, Cynthia Steward; and 2 nieces, Renee and Alana Stewart. She is survived by a sister, Kathleen Chance, of Carneys Point; a niece, Lisa Conrad Pratta, and her fiancé, Jeffrey Sparks, of Pennsville; nephews, Joseph Conard, of Carneys Point, and Von Chance, and his wife, Diana, of Carneys Point; and a grandnephew, Auden Chance, of Carneys Point.

There will be a viewing from 10-11 am on Friday, July 7, at the ASHCRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 47 State St., Penns Grove, followed by the funeral at 11 am. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the YMCA of Salem County, 204 Shell Rd., Carneys Point, NJ 08069.

George E. Scott, Jr. "Scotty"

George E. Scott, Jr., age 60, of Millsboro, DE, passed away June 12, 2006.

Mr. Scott was a mail carrier for the US Postal Service for 36 years and a veteran of the US Army. He had a love for the outdoors and was especially fond of his 3 dogs.

George was preceded in death by his wife, Paulette, in 2002. He is survived by his children, Brenda Cerminara, and her husband, Stephen, of Smyrna, DE, Karen Myrick, and her husband, James, of Newark, DE, Sharon Scott-Wells, of Wilmington, DE, Lisa Smoot, Dwight Scott, and his wife, Christine, and Thomas Scott, all of Newark, DE; 1 sister, Evelyn Wilson, of Newark, DE; 11 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. George is also survived by his companion, Connie Sausman, of Millsboro, DE.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 16, 2006, at 11:30 am, in the MCCRERY MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3710 Kirkwood Highway at Duncan Rd. where friends may call at 10:30. Burial will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial cemetery, in Summit, DE.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Veterans Medical Center, 1601 Kirkwood Highway, Elsmere, DE 19805.

Adam C. Sainson

Adam C. Sainson, age 16, of Newark, DE, passed away suddenly on June 11, 2006.

Adam was born June 14, 1989, the beloved son of Stephen and Sheila Hill Sainson. He was a student at Newark High School, where he played trumpet in the band. An avid roller hockey fan, he played for the YMCA. Adam was a member of Renewal the Christ Center Church of God, and loved nature and life. He brought joy to all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by 2 brothers, Stephen and Alex Sainson; and his twin sister, Samantha Sainson, all of Newark. He is also survived by grandparents, Rene J. Sainson and Thelma Greer; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.

Friends and family may call at the R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 West Main St., Newark, DE 19711, from 2-4 pm, on Saturday, June 17, 2006, followed by the funeral service at 4. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Newark High School Band; or to the Food Bank of Delaware, c/o the funeral home.

Sandra Reams "Sandy"

Age 42, passed away June 7, 2006, at home.

Mother of Denaé, Terri and Frances Reams. Daughter of Jeanette and Milton Reams. Sister, of Jeanette and Karen Reams, Milton Russell and Rudolph Reams. Also survived by paternal grandmoth-er, Anna Turner; 2 devoted nieces, Akiesha Reams and Creolia Johnson; 7 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral 11 am Saturday, June 17, at CONGO FUNERAL HOME, 2317 N. Market St., Wilmington. Viewing 9-11 am. Burial private.

Ronald D. Pack

Age 73, of Lancaster, PA, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at the Lancaster General Hospital

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late David and Rene O'Connor Pack. He and his wife, Peggy Coleman Pack, celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary on May 26th. Mr. Pack was a 1951 graduate of the Valley Forge Military Academy. Since 1988, he was the president and founder of Shore Motors in Manheim. He was the former owner of the Lancaster Storm Basketball team and co-owner of numerous race horses. He was a supporter of the American Heart Association. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family at Rehoboth Beach, DE and was an avid reader.

In addition to his wife, Ron is survived by 7 children, Lisa Pack, North Wales, PA, David Pack, Wilmington, DE, Jeffrey Pack, Boothwyn, PA, Roni Anton, North Wales, PA, Anthony Pack, Worcester, PA, Kyle Hipple, Adamstown, PA and Josh Pack, Columbia, PA; 10 grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Young, Milford, DE; and a brother, Richard Pack, Lewes, DE. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dierdre Pack, in 1975.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Ron's Life Celebration Memorial service at the FUNERAL HOME OF FRED F. GROFF, INC., 234 W. Orange St., Lancaster, PA, on Monday, June 19, at 11 am. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at Groff's on Monday from 9:30 am until time of service. Following the Life Celebration service family will gather and greet friends at the Manheim Auto Auction, Lane #1, commonly known as the "As Is" lane.

David B. Nickle

David B. Nickle, age 48, of Millsboro, DE, died suddenly at home on Monday, June 12, 2006.

David was born February 12, 1958 in Cecil County, MD, and grew up in Hockessin, DE. He was a self-employed electrician.

He was predeceased by his mother, Betty Pickell Nickle; a brother, Paul A. Nickle; and a sister, Lynn Nickle Hurst Taylor. He is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Dana Stewart Nickle; a son serving in the US Army in Germany, Nicholas Collins, and his wife, Nicole; daughter, Morgan Collins, of Newark, DE; his father and loving stepmother, C. Paul and Alta Nickle, of Secretary, MD; 2 brothers, Roger Nickle, and his wife, Lee, of Middletown, DE, and Mark Nickle, and his wife, Desire, of Landenberg, PA; and a sister, Suzanne Moore, of Milford, DE.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 17, 2006, in the Long Neck Chapel of MELSON FUNERAL SERVICES, Long Neck Rd., Millsboro, DE. Burial will be private.

Dolores V. Miller "Sissie" (Lawrence)

Age 77 of Claymont, DE, formerly of the west end of Chester, PA, died Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at her home.

Born in the west end of Chester, PA to the late Charles and Pauline Bilinski Lawrence, she had lived in Claymont from 1973-2006. Mrs. Miller was a homemaker devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and cooking.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Timothy Lawrence, who passed in 1977. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Robert S. Miller; daughters, Joan Wharton of Claymont, DE and Debra Levine of Wilmington, DE; sons, James Wharton of Wilmington, DE and Timothy Miller of Claymont, DE; stepson, Robert Miller, Jr. of Upper Chichester, PA; 8 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.

Calling hours will be from 8 am on Friday, June 16, at KANIEFSKI-KENDUS-D'ANJOLELL MEMORIAL HOME, 3900 West 9th St., Trainer, PA, followed by a 10 am funeral service. Burial in Lawn Croft cemetery in Linwood, PA.

Hazel Virginia Koska

Age 83, of Smyrna, DE, died Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at Green Valley Pavilion, Smyrna. Visitation 12 noon and funeral 1 pm Friday, June 16, at FARIES FUNERAL CHAPEL, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna.

Maria I. Diaz-Albino

Age 48, died June 11, 2006. Wife of Milton Luis Albino, Sr. Mother of Milton, Jr. & Elizabeth Albino. Sister of Mary, Clara, Tita & Lito Diaz. Robert L. Ellis

Age 79, of New Castle, DE, died Thursday, June 15, 2006.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; and sister, Elaine Silverman.

A funeral service will be held 10 am, Friday, June 16, 2006, in the Delaware Veterans Memorial cemetery, Chesapeake City Rd., Bear.
