Age 73, of Princess Anne, MD, died June 8, 2006, at his son's in Georgetown, DE. Visitation 11 am and funeral 12 noon Friday, June 16, at the WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 211 Washington St., Millsboro.
Jay Stevenson
Jay Stevenson, age 67, of Dagsboro, DE, died on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at the Beebe Medical Center, in Lewes.
He was born December 9, 1938 in New York, NY. Jay worked for the Delmarva Power Indian River plant in Dagsboro for 34 years, starting as a lineman, and retiring as the maintenance foreman in 1995. He was a veteran of the US Navy, having served on the naval submarine USS Thornback. He was a member of Country Chapel, near Millsboro. He was also a member of the Doric Lodge AF&AM #30, in Millville, the National Street Road Association, the Bay Shore Hot Rod Association, and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He and his wife touched the lives of many children, serving as foster parents for the past 15 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles T. and Marie Neville Stevenson. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Deborah Lockwood Stevenson; 3 children, Jay Stevenson, and his wife, Kristi, of Ingleside, TX, Kimberly Adams, and her husband, Troy, of Washington, DC, and Eric F. Stevenson, of Dagsboro, DE; stepbrother, Samuel Warrington, of Georgetown; and 3 grandchildren, Jay Cody Stevenson, Neesa Aubree Stevenson and Maximus Dale Adams.
Family and friends may call from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, June 14, at the WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 211 Washington St., Millsboro, where a Masonic service will begin at 8 pm. The funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, June 15, at Grace U.M. Church, Church & Morris Sts., Millsboro. Donna Rayne and Philip Daisey will officiate.

Constance J. Swan
Constance J. Swan, age 58, of Wilmington, DE, died on Sunday, June 11, 2006, at home, after a short battle with cancer.
She grew up in Port Penn and received her bachelor degree from Salisbury State University and her master degree from Washington College, in Chestertown, MD. Connie had a distinguished 33-year career as an educator and a Colonial School District leader. A highly respected and much loved teacher, she taught US history at William Penn High School, where she created the first women's studies curriculum in the state, and served as the social studies department chair for many years. She also won several Teacher of the Year awards including the prestigious Delaware Social Studies Teacher of the Year. Connie was a lover of her family, animals, nature, poetry, treasured friends, history, and truth in all its forms.
She was predeceased by her father, Robert D. Swan. Connie is survived by her mother, Jeanne Swan, of St. Georges; her partner, Mary Ann Payne, of Wilmington, with whom she shared her life and her home; her sister, Judy Trincia, and her husband, Vincent, of Charlotte, NC; her nephews, Andy Trincia, and his wife, Oana, of Bucharest, Romania, Beau Trincia, of Berkeley, CA, and Nick Trincia, of Baltimore, MD; her extraordinary friends and caregivers, Margy DuVal and Pat Provato, both of New Castle; and her beloved pets, Sky, Muffie and Sunny.
A celebration of Connie's life will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, June 17th, at the Port Penn Fire Hall on Port Penn Rd.

Sharon G. Tatman
Age 47, of Wilmington, DE, suddenly departed this life on Thursday, June 8, 2006, at Wilmington Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Bobbie Mae and James Gist. Sharon was employed by PNC as a branch manager at Northtowne Plaza.
She will be missed by her husband, Darrell Tatman; sisters, Gwendolyn Kirby (Dwight), of Greensboro, NC, Yulonda McCullough (Clifton), of Dumfries, VA; mother and father-in-law, Delores Tatman, of Wilmington, and David Quinn, of Atlanta, GA; aunt, Dorothy Battle, of Dayton, OH; sister and brothers-in-law, Daylyn, David Jr. and Daniel Quinn, all of Atlanta, Ga; and other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be at 11 am on Wednesday, June 14, at Bethel AME Church, 604 N. Walnut St., Wilmington, with visitation from 9-11 am. Interment will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park, in New Castle, DE.

Jessie R. Walker
Mrs. Jessie R. Walker, age 78, of New Castle, DE, died on Monday, June 12, 2006, at Calvert Manor Healthcare Center, in Rising Sun, MD.
Mrs. Walker was born March 24, 1928 in Somerville, NJ, daughter of the late Fred Moss and Anna Makatura Moss. A talented homemaker, she had also worked at the former Russum's Womens Apparel in New Castle. Mrs. Walker will be lovingly remembered by her family as a devoted wife and a wonderful mother.
Her husband, Jack E. Walker, died August 13, 2000. She is survived by 4 children, Janet Archer, Jack Walker and Jerry Walker, all of Newark; and Jill Williams, and her husband, Brad, of New Castle; and grandson, Marshall Williams.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, June 15, 2006, in the chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, where friends may call after 1 pm. Interment will follow in the adjoining memorial park.

Paul W. Watson
Paul W. Watson, age 86, born in Michias, NY, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2006, at his home, with his loving wife, Barbara, at his side.
After retiring from M&G Convoy, in Newark, DE, where he worked for 35 years , he then moved to Millville, where he and his wife spent happy times deep sea fishing out of Indian River Inlet with friends. Having a love for warm weather and deep sea fishing, Paul and his wife spent many good winters in Placida, FL, with loving and caring friends. Paul served in the Air Force during World War II as a skeet instructor.
Paul was predeceased by a son, Marvin Paul Watson. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Barbara Thompson Watson, formerly of Quinton, NJ; sons, Rande, and his wife, Joan, of Dunnellon, FL, Bruce Campbell, and his wife, Robin, of Newark, DE; 8 grandchildren, Joscelyn Watson Dominick, Michael Watson, Daniel Watson, Chris Watson, Denny Watson, and David and Brynn Campbell; along with 8 great grandchildren.
The service and burial will be held privately.

Christopher Mark Wegman
Mr. Christopher Mark Wegman, age 49, of Newark, DE, died suddenly on Saturday, June 10, 2006, at Christiana Hospital.
Born June 8, 1957 in Baltimore, MD, Mr. Wegman was a graduate of Damascus High School, in Montgomery County, MD. He worked as a professional HVAC mechanic since graduation and was currently employed with Radiant Design, of Newark, DE. Mr. Wegman greatly enjoyed boating, fishing, building model ships, and tinkering with all types of appliances and machines.
He is survived by his son, Christopher Matthew Weg-man, of Hagerstown, MD; parents, Thomas C. Wegman and Sara Stroup Wegman, of Millcreek, WV; brother, Stephen E. Wegman, and his wife, Patricia, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; 4 sisters, Elizabeth A. Simon, of Edwards-ville, PA, Teresa L. Wegman, and her husband, Joseph Marchegiano, of Landenberg, PA, Michele D. Wegman, and her husband, Jim Naegeli, of Encinatas, CA, and Dana S. Jankuska, and her husband, Thomas, of San Diego, CA; and granddaughter, Isabella.
A funeral service will be held at 8 pm on Thursday, June 15, 2006, at the SPICER-MULLIKIN FUNERAL HOME, 121 West Park Place, Newark, where friends may call after 6 pm.

Margarethe Newcombe Benjamin
Mrs. Benjamin, age 90, of Wilmington, DE, died on Thursday, June 8, 2006, at the Wilmington Hospital.
She was a 1934 graduate of Wilmington High School and a graduate of Goldey Business College in 1936. She was a member of the Red Cross Motor Corps during World War II. After the war, she volunteered at Hagley Museum for 25 years. She married
Glenn P. Benjamin on March 6, 1948. Mrs. Benjamin had been employed by Hercules Co. for many years and later Springer Junior High School in the Brandywine School District until her retirement in 1976. She was a lifelong member of Second Baptist Church (now named Silverside Church at the same address.)
She is survived by her husband, Glenn P. Benjamin of the Methodist Country House.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, June 13, at the Danby Chapel, Methodist Country House, 4830 Kennett Pike. Burial will be private.

Stanley A. Bulat
Stanley A. Bulat, age 85, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2006.
Mr. Bulat worked for E.I. DuPont Co., at the Wilmington Shops, retiring as an area supervisor after 43 years. He was also the apprenticeship coordinator for that location. He was a member of the VICA board at Hodgson Vo Tech, and a navy veteran of WWII, having served in the South Pacific on the LST 920. Mr. Bulat was scoutmaster of Troop #24, at Calvary Church. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, maintaining his own vehicles, and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed and loved by his family and friends, and will always be in our hearts.
He is survived by his loving and devoted best friend and wife of 63 years, Mary Morris Bulat; his son, Gerald "Gerry" Bulat, and his wife, Linda, of Wilmington, DE; his brothers, Leo and John Bulat, both of Wilmington, DE; his grandchildren, Gerald Bulat, Jr. and Tressa M. Bulat; and a great granddaughter, Sequoia. He was predeceased by his son, Stanley Jr.; his grandson, Eric Bolen; and his brother, Frank Bulat.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Friday, June 16, at 12 noon, at the DOHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek, where friends may call after 11. Entombment will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park, Dupont Hwy., New Castle, DE.
