Raymond C. Davis
Age 62, of Washington Twp., NJ, suddenly died January 30, 2006.
Born in Wilmington, DE, he lived in the Newark, DE area before moving to Washington Twp., NJ in 1994. Ray retired from Chrysler Corp. with 30 years of service. He was currently working for Commerce Bank. In the 1970s, he performed in the roller skating artistic skating competition. He was the New Jersey director of the PTOC Cruiser Club.
Beloved husband of Patricia Mullin Davis. Dear brother of Marian Peltcs, and her husband, Raymond. Dear uncle of 2 nieces and 1 nephew.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Sunday evening, February 5, from 7-9 pm, and on Monday, February 6, from 9-10 am, at the FARNELLI FUNERAL HOME, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, NJ, where a service will follow at 10 am. Burial will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park in New Castle, DE.

Director of Marketing &
Tourism at Winterthur
Age 45, of Philadelphia, PA, director of marketing and tourism at Winterthur Museum and Country Estate, died from complications of cancer on Friday, January 27, 2006, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
Before her current position at Winterthur, Ms. Davis-Trier was an accomplished marketing and media relations professional with Steege/Thomson Communications in Philadelphia. Her projects there included ground-breaking for the Kimmel Center, the Philadelphia Zoo, The Historical Society, and many other cultural and non-profit organizations in the region. She rejoined the staff at Winterthur in early 2002, having worked previously as public relations director in the late 1980s. Her most recent project was an iPod tour of the museum's galleries that featured the antiques experts, Leigh and Lesley Keno, of PBS. Her creativity and insight will be missed at Winterthur.
Passionate about theater and music, Ms. Davis-Trier, using the stage name, Llewellyn Davies, acted in many local productions and sang backup for local bands. She was also a founding member of A center city improvisation group. Recently, she pursued her interests of journalism and travel, writing freelance articles and tour guides, including one for the State of Delaware, studying French at the Alliance Francaise and making frequent trips to France with her husband, Paul Trier. She was an ardent gardener and supported animal rescue groups. Ms. Davis-Trier graduated from St. Clair Area High School in 1977, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and communications in 1981 from Pennsylvania State University.
In addition to her husband, Paul, and his daughters, Jennifer and Melissa Trier, Ms. Davis-Trier is survived by her parents, Earl and Val Davis, of St. Clair, PA, a small town near Pottsville, where she grew up. She leaves behind her much loved 5 cats and dog, Sam.
Friends and relatives may greet the family at 10:30 am on Saturday, February 4, 2006, at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, 4th & Vine Sts., Olde City Philadelphia, where a memorial mass will be offered at 12 noon. A celebration of Lynn's life and work will also take place at Winterthur on March 11, 2006, for all to attend. Details will follow.

Colin W. Fitzpatrick
Age 18, of West Chester, PA, died January 30, 2006 in West Chester.
Colin was born May 5, 1987 in Bryn Mawr, PA. He graduated from Unionville High School in 2004, where he was captain of the ice hockey team in 2004. He was a student at Penn State, where he was a freshman honor student and dreamed of becoming a teacher. He was also a summer counselor at Camp Tygart in Huntonville, WV.
Survivors include his mother, Gale M. Dougherty Fitzpatrick; father, Patrick J. Fitzpatrick; sisters, Cara M. Fitzpatrick, and Gillian M. Fitzpatrick, both of West Chester; grandparents, Jean D. and Jim Monteith, of Potts Net, DE, and Stephanie Fitzpatrick, of Upper Darby, PA; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
A viewing will be held after 6 pm on Friday evening, February 3, at St. Maximillan Kolbe Church, Rt.202 & E. Pleasant Grove Rd., Westtown, PA, where a funeral mass will be offered at 11 am on Saturday, February 4. Burial will be held privately.

Ruth E. Glessner
Age 91, formerly of Wilmington, DE and Collingdale, PA, passed away January 30, 2006, in Lakeland, FL.
She was predeceased by her husband, George "Ted" Glessner, in 1975. She is survived by 3 sons and 1 daughter, Michael, and his wife, Nancy, of Wilmington, DE, Donald, and his wife, Joyce, of San Antonio, TX, James "Ted", and his wife, Jeanne, of Yarmouth, ME, and Linda Bauman, and her husband, Harold "Bud", of Plant City, FL. Other survivors include 7 grandchildren, David, Kathryn, Kathleen, Michael, Maureen, Timothy, Andrew; and 4 great grand-children.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 4, at 10 am, at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Rd., Wilmington. Interment will be in SS Peter & Paul cemetery, 1600 S. Sproul Rd., Springfield, PA. Family and friends may call at the DOHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek, on Friday evening, February 3, from 7-9 pm.

William L. Jacobs
Age 68, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2006, at home, with his wife by his side, after a long battle with cancer.
Mr. Jacobs was born in Wilmington, DE to the late George and Naomi Jacobs. Bill retired from Rollins Leasing. Mr. Jacobs also had a love for old cars and animals. Everyone knew him for his kind and gentle way.
Mr. Jacobs is survived by his wife, Audrey Jacobs; stepson, Joseph Smith; stepdaughter, Sharon Michaels; and step granddaughters, Heather Michaels and Kyndra Michaels. Mr. Jacobs is also survived by his dear cousin, Ruthie Jester; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, and aunts.
Visitation will be held at 11 am on Friday, February 3, 2006, in the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd., Newark, DE 19702, followed by a service in celebration of Bill's life at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park in New Castle, DE.

Alice W. Jones
Age 91, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2006, at her home.
Alice was born in Kenmore, NY to the late Lou A. and Christine Wiser. A member of Calvary Episcopal Church, she was an avid gardener, bridge player and golfer.
Alice's husband, H. Clifford Jones, passed away in 2002. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Deborah Jones Scheub, who passed away in 1972. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret "Peggy" Jones Martay, and her husband, William H., of Winnetka, IL; and 5 grandsons, W. C. Michael Scheub, David W. (Jennifer), Andrew M., Peter W., and Stephen R. Martay.
The family would like to offer special thanks to Susan and James Dawson and the aides who took wonderful care of Alice.

Ryan Scott Kappes "Babar"
Age 10 weeks, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2006, after battling complications from congenital heart disease.
He was the beloved son of Karie and Scott Kappes; the loving great-grandson of Andree and Clarence Bielawski, F.M. Boggs, and Mildred Kappes; and the courageous and giving grandson of Kathy and Bob Barnes, and Jacque and Jerry Kappes. He was the selfless and brave nephew of Tori and Andy Barnes, Jeanette and Carter Kappes, Michael Kappes, and Kimberly Absher; and a special friend to many. Ryan's courageousness and strength was an inspiration to everyone involved in his fight for life.
