Mary Frances V. Marra

Mrs. Mary Frances V. (McFadden) Marra, age 75 of Wilmington, DE, departed this life on Sunday morning, August 28, 2005, surrounded by family.

Formerly of Woodlea Apartments, she recently lived in Lancashire. Mrs. Marra was a lifelong resident of DE, born July 7, 1930. Mary Frances loved reading, Bible study and spending time with her family. Proud of her Irish heritage, she loved Celtic music and shopping for Irish treasures. Her favorite poem was "The Irish Blessing" - "...Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hands."

Mary Frances is survived by her daughters, Colleen Harbison and her husband, Wes Medek, Sharon Nardo and her husband, Danny, and Allison Johnson and her husband, Terry; her son, Joe Marra and his wife, Linda; her grandchildren, Tommy and his wife, Devon, Alessandro, Sean, Tara and Jimmy, Alexis, Maryfrances, Danny and his wife, Jan, Alessandra, Alex, Gabrielle, Courtney, Anthony, Danny and Dominic, Desiree and her husband, Adrian, and Joey. Mrs. Marra is also survived by great grandchildren, Tommy VI, Rachel, Marrissa, Carli and Danny. She was predeceased by her husband, Alex J. Marra; her daughters, Ava Marie and Mary Frances; and her granddaughters, Stephanie and Gabrielle.

A funeral service will be held at the CHARLES P ARCARO FUNERAL HOME, 2309 Lancaster Ave., Wilmington, (opposite Cathedral cemetery), on Wednesday, August 31, at 1 pm. Entombment will follow in Cathedral cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 11-1 pm.

Edward A. McNally

Age 85 of Wilmington, DE died Saturday, August 27, 2005, at Forwood Manor.

Edward was born in Wilmington November 21, 1919. Edward graduated from Wilmington High School and Drexel University, where he earned a bachelors degree in engineering. Edward retired from ICI Americas in 1981, where he worked since joining Atlas Powder Company in 1958. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. Edward was particularly noted for his creativity and great sense of humor.

His sons, Kevin McNaIly and Steven McNally; and his sister, Mary McNamara, preceded him in death. Edward is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Eleanor Rhoda McNally; his son and daughter-in-law, Edward "Mike" and Janice McNally; his grandchildren, Jennifer M. McNally and her fiancé, Brian Johns, David and Michelle McNally and Elizabeth A. McNally. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Bill Alexander; and numerous nephews and nieces.

A memorial mass will be offered at 11 am on Wednesday, August 31, at the Church of the Holy Child on Naamans Road in north Wilmington. Friends may call on the family from 10-11 am on that day before mass at the church. Interment will be in Cathedral cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Archmere Academy, 3600 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703.

Constance Lambros (Dellonoci)

Age 80, of Rehoboth Beach, DE, died Sunday, August 21, 2005, at her residence. Mrs. Lambros was born January 15, 1925 in Washington, DC daughter of the late Vito and Deomondi Dellonoci.

Mrs. Lambros was very family oriented, she especially loved her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and baking and the beach.

Mrs. Lambros was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Harry Lambros, Sr. in 1994 and by her daughter, Andrea Jackson. She is survived by 2 sons, Peter Harry Lambros Jr. and his wife, Stephanie of Felton, DE and Harry Lambros of Lewes, DE; a daughter, Dee Lambros and her husband, Fred Mills of New York, NY; and 3 grandsons, Matthew, Kevin and Patrick Lambros all of Felton.

Funeral services will be held at PARSELL FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATORIUM, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE on Thursday, August 25, 2005 at 2 pm; Father Richard Leone will be officiating. Interment will be private.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to: Delaware Hospice, 600 DuPont Highway, Georgetown, DE 19947.

Virginia Kathern Lindell

Mrs. Virginia Kathern Lindell, age 82, of Newark, DE, died on Monday, August 22, 2005, at her home.

Mrs. Lindell, a homemaker, was born in West Virginia on October 13, 1922. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and was well-known for providing wonderful baked goods for church functions and fundraisers. In her leisure time, Mrs. Lindell greatly enjoyed needlework and sewing.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, James Levi Lindell, and nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, August 25, 2005, at the SPICER-MULLIKIN FUNERAL HOME, 121 West Park Place, Newark, where friends may call after 10 . am. Interment will follow in Bethel cemetery, Chesapeake City.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 5610 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808.

Pamela M. Taylor

Age 79, of Lewes, DE, died August 16, 2005 at the Harbor Health Care Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Lewes. Grave-side service will be held August 25th, 12 noon at Conley's Chapel cemetery in Angola, near Lewes.

John S. Spicher

Age 88, formerly of Wilmington, passed away August 28, 2005 in Denton, MD.

John retired after 37 years as a brakeman with the Pennsylvania Railroad.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite Spicher; and his daughter, Barbara Spicher Conn. John is survived by his grandchildren, Hayes Conn, III and his wife, Terri, John Conn and his wife, Linda Marie, and Lisa Conn; his great grandchildren, Tina, Devan, Angela, Tiffany, Crystal, Adrian, Zachary, Alyschia and Hayes, IV; and his great-great grandchildren, Taylor and Skyler.

A service will be held at 11 am on Friday, September 2, 2005 in the chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Hwy., New Castle, where family and friends may call after 10 am. Burial will be in the adjoining memorial park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, New Castle, DE 19720.

Mary Louise Stein

Mary Louise Stein of Terry Apartments passed away August 27, 2005 at Shipley Manor after a brief illness.

Mary was born January 5, 1944 in Wilmington to Elnora L. Benson Stein and Leon Stein, Jr. She attended P.S. duPont High School. As a young woman, she was employed by Goodwill Industries and later worked for many years in the housekeeping department of Best Western Brandywine Valley Inn until her retirement.

Mary was predeceased by her parents; and her sister, B. Joyce McLaughlin. She is survived by her brother, E. Lee Stein of Wilmington; her sister, Lynn Cecil of Lewes; and her beloved nephews and nieces, Gordon L. McLaughlin, Steven P. McLaughlin, E. Lee Stein, Jr., Christopher L. Stein, Robert C. Cecil, Ryan C. Cecil, Susan L. Weaver and Victoria L. Stein, and their children. She is also survived by her dearest friend and beau of many years, Robert Dill.

Services will be private with Elder Chuck Smith officiating. Interment will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Wilmington Primitive Baptist Church, 2911 N. Van Buren St., Wilmington, DE 19802, where Mary was a member.

John Edward Puican, Jr.

Mr. John Edward Puican, Jr., age 81, of Newark, DE, died on Sunday, September 18, 2005, at St. Francis Hospital, Wilmington, DE.

Mr. Puican was born in Waynesboro, PA, on October 28, 1923, son of the late John E. Puican, Sr. and Mary Salajan Puican. A 1942 graduate of Waynesboro High School, he enlisted in the US Navy following graduation and served his country in both the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters during World War II. From his youth, Mr. Puican was a gifted athlete, and, following his honorable discharge from the Navy, played semi-pro football for the Waynesboro Tigers in the late 1940s. A machinist by profession, he was employed with the DuPont Company at the Wilmington Shops for 25 years before his retirement in 1988. In his leisure time, Mr. Puican greatly enjoyed a variety of sports, including bowling, golf and fishing. He also coached Little League baseball and football while his children were growing up and was active for many years in the Talleyville chapter of Parents Without Partners.

He is survived by 3 children, John E. Puican III and wife Joanne of Landenberg, PA; Richard L. Puican and wife Edith of Newark, DE; and Beverly Jean Harrington and husband Stormy of Ocean City, MD; brother, Mike Puican of Akron, OH; 5 sisters, Anna Kauffman and Sylvia Bloom, both of Waynesboro, PA; Sophie Quinton of Philadelphia, PA; Agatha McCandless of Detroit, MI; and Valeria Holland of Carlisle, PA; 6 grandsons, Christopher Puican, Matthew Puican, John Puican, Mark Puican, Drexel Harrington and Collin Harrington; and 4 great grandchildren, Brie Puican, Evan Puican, Kylie Puican and Raegan Puican.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, September 22, 2005, at the SPICER-MULLIKIN FUNERAL HOME, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, September 24, 2005, at St. Andrew's cemetery, Waynesboro, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to The John E. Puican, Jr. Fund for Victims of Hurricane Katrina, c/o Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE 19711.

Maryam K. Albertini

Age 90 of Timonium, MD died Tuesday, October 11, 2005.

She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Albert Albertini; and the devoted mother of Dr. Tullio F. Albertini and his wife, Carol Ann, Guy M. Albertini and his wife, Kathleen, Marie-Pia Albertini and Florence Ines Elisabeth Albertini. She was the devoted sister, of Homa Panahi; and the grandmother of David, James, Brian and Dana Albertini. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.

Rev. Lawrence Johnson will officiate at memorial mass at 11 am on Friday, October 21, at the Stella Maris Chapel, immediately followed by interment in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family will appreciate memorial donations to Stella Maris, 2300 Dulaney Valley Rd., Timonium, MD 21093.
