Francine J. Aubry
Age 55 of Wilmington, DE passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 8, 2005.
Francine worked at JC Penney at Prices Corner for the last 5 years. Before that, she worked at F.W. Woolworth for 25 years. She enjoyed traveling to the mountains and country-side.
Francine is survived by her companion of 37 years, Francisco R. Fuentes; her stepson, Greg Fuentes; 2 brothers, Andre Aubry and Richard Aubry and his wife, Pat; 2 sisters, Louise Allen and her husband. Gale, and Denise Sims and her husband, Charles; and many nieces and nephews.
A service in celebration of Francine's life will be held Friday, October 14, 2005, at 7 pm in the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd., Newark, DE 19702, where friends may call beginning at 6 pm. Burial will be private.

Fred Douglas Camper
Age 92, departed this life October 3, 2005, at the Hillside Nursing Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Julie Douglas Camper, Sr.; 1 son, Fred-die, Jr.; his wife, Lena Greene; 7 sisters; and 3 brothers. He leaves to cherish his memory 8 children, Ada Wongus of Cambridge, MD Barbara H. Congo (Spiggles) of Wilmington, DE, Sara Copes of Watley, AL, Pauline Camper of Easton, MD, Fannie Camper and Thelma Tate, both of Baltimore, MD, Dolly Deruise of FL and John Jackson; 21 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral 11 am Friday, October 14, at CONGO FUNERAL HOME, 2317 N. Market St. Viewing 9-10:45 am. Interment in Silverbrook cemetery.
Ruth Sherrill Smith Wife of Paul A. Smith, died Friday August 27, 2004 at her home in Columbia, SC.
Mrs. Smith was born on October 6, 1949 in Wilmington, DE; daughter of Horace C. Sherrill, Jr. and Mary Lou Sherrill of Wilmington, DE. She attended Brandywine High School and was a graduate of High Point College. She worked for Xerox Corporation prior to moving with her husband to England for 5 years and then returning to reside in Columbia, SC. She was an Alpha Gamma Delta sorority sister and a member of the PEO Sisterhood. She was active in her community Women's Club and a leader of several of their interest groups. Her favorite activity was international travel, having toured in Europe, Egypt, and China.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Paul A. Smith of Columbia, SC; parents, Horace and Mary Lou Sherrill of Wilmington, DE; brother, James W. Sherrill and his wife, Maxine and 2 nephews, James Sherrill, Jr. and Russell Sherrill of Rexford, NY.
A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Friday September 3, 2004 at the MCCRERY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 3924 Concord Pike, Talleyville. There will be no viewing and interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park.

Nicolina G. Murphy
Age 71, of Elkton, MD, died Tuesday, September 6, 2005.
A farmer for over 33 years, she had been an executive secretary, where she met her beloved late husband of 46 years, Jim. Mrs. Murphy had been a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, Northern Chesapeake Hospice Foundation, and more recently was director and past president of New Directions Delaware.
Survivors include her sons, David K. Murphy, Rossville, IN, Paul A. Murphy, Newtown, CT, and James S. Murphy, Wheaton, MD; 8 grandchildren; and a great granddaughter.
A private memorial service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, October 15, 2005.

Preston A. Briscoe, Jr.
Son of the late Preston and Helen Bris-coe, was born September 21, 1932 in Townsend, DE. He departed this life Wednesday, October 12, 2005, at the Veterans Hospital in Elsmere, DE at the age of 73.
He was the brother of Leroy Briscoe, Paul Briscoe, Rose Cale, Dorothy Green and the late Mary Briscoe; and the brother-in-law of Loretta Briscoe. He is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
There will be funeral service at 11 am on Wednesday, October 19, 2005, at The House of Wright Mortuary, 208 E. 35th Street, Wilmington, DE, where family and friends may call from 9-11 am. Interment will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial cemetery in Bear, DE.

H. Joseph Carlile
Age 78 of Claymont, DE passed away Monday, October 17, 2005, at Christiana Hospital.
Mr. Carlile served his country during WWII in the US Army, participating in the occupation force in Japan. He retired from the DuPont Co. after 33 years of dedicated service as a plumber and pipefitter. Mr. Carlile was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 53 years, Mary (Bucci) Carlile; their daughters, Cynthia M. Tryon and her husband, Harry, of Smyrna and Lisa A. Carlile of Wilmington; granddaughters, Christina Cherry and her husband, Kevin, and Andrea Gaston and her husband, Tim; great grandsons, Matthew and Adam Cherry and Anthony Gaston; and Sallie I. Banks, who was thought of as a daughter.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, October 20, at the Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, where friends may visit with the family beginning at 10 am. Burial will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial cemetery in Bear.

Age 78, died Monday, October 17, 2005.
Born in New York City, NY to the late James Spiro Kochovos and Fifi Chappas Kochovos, she was president of her family's real estate business, working until her death. She was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Ocean City, MD, a past parish council member, Philoptochos, and enjoyed serving on various committees of the church and the Worcester County Humane Society. She and her husband enjoyed an active social life and counted members of the church as their friends. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and friend, who lived life to the fullest and cherished every moment.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, John Danias; and a daughter, Fifi Hiotis-Blackburn of Ocean City, MD. Also surviving is her beloved pet dog, Mandy. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Irene Hiotis Payne, who died in 2004; and a brother, Spiro James Kochovos, who died in 1972.
Family and friends may call from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, October 19, at the BURBAGE FUNERAL HOME, 108 William St., Berlin, MD. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, October 20, at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Ocean City, MD. Interment will be in Everygreen cemetery in Berlin, MD.

Of Townsend, DE departed this life on Friday, August 19, 2005, at home with her family, after a long battle with cancer.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Deacon Cornell Hampton, Sr; 6 children, Cornell Hampton, Jr., Tracey Hampton, Theola Henry, Doris Dike, Velma Speight and Chris Hampton; and a host of grandchildren. She leaves to grieve 2 sisters, Rachel Johnson of Townsend, DE and Harriet Brown of Atlanta, GA; 2 brothers, Theodore Meade of Wilmington, DE and James Meade of Dover, DE; great aunt, Roberta Graves; beloved friend, Imogene Bryant; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A service will be held 1 pm on Tuesday, August 23, 2005, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 300 New St., Middletown, DE, where friends may call from 11 am-1 pm. Interment will be in Pinetree cemetery.

Frank J. Clark
Age 65, of Newark, DE passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2005. Frank was a lab technician for Alloy Surfaces Company, in Chester, PA for the past 40 years. He was a marine veteran. Frank enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Frank was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Margaret Betts. Survivors include, his brother and sister-in-law, Les and Carol Clark of New Castle; aunt, Lillian Stevenson and her husband, Allen of New Castle; nephew, Les Clark, Jr. and his wife, Kim of Townsend; niece, Lynn Bennett and her husband, Robert of Millsboro and cousins.
Funeral services will be 11:30 am on Thursday, August 25, 2005 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St., Newport, where visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, August 24th. Interment will be at Delaware Veterans Memorial cemetery in Bear, DE.
