John L. Holloway III "Jack"

John L. Holloway III, "Jack", born April 29, 1937, died at home in Tucson, AZ, on August 20, 2005.

After serving in the Army and graduating from the University of Delaware, Jack began his career in industrial distribution in New Castle, DE, joining Holloway Bros. Tools Inc., which had been founded by his father John and his uncle Bill. Jack retired as CEO in 1994 and moved from Wilmington, DE to Tucson, AZ. Jack was a serious student of business, an avid athlete, and an enthusiastic friend to many who will miss him.

He is survived by his wife, Esther; his sons, John and Eric; his daughter-in-law, Monique, and his grandchildren, Ben and Dana.

Private memorial services will be scheduled in both Tucson and Wilmington.

F. Elnora Howell

Daughter of the late Henry and Bessie (Polk) Love, Elnora was born August 10, 1922 in Concord, NC. She departed this life August 18, 2005 at the St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington, DE.

She received her education in the public schools of Concord, NC. She resided in Wilmington, DE since 1952. She was a stewardess, a member of the senior choir and the Elder Club, and was very active until her health failed. She loved people and had the church at heart, and had something to say to everyone.

She was predeceased by her husband, John A. Howell, August 13, 1986. She leaves to cherish memory 1 devoted son, William E. Howell (Anna) of Springfield, MA; 3 devoted daughters, Gerri H. Rodgers, Hattie E. Dunn, and Margaret H. Moore (Wilfred, Sr.), all of Wilmington, DE; 1 brother, Albert J. Love (Carlee) of Folsom, CA; 1 aunt, Aunt Docie Barber of Charlotte, NC; 7 grandchildren, Antoinette Potts, Marcus E. Spencer, Jr., Wilfred R. Moore, Jr., Charles D. Dunn (Sharon), Michael A. Dunn (Vanessa), Charles E. Howell, Edward Dean Rodgers; 1 adopted granddaughter, Carmella Coates; 9 great grandchildren; 1 niece, Cheryl Breswell (Milton) of Folsom, CA; 2 nephews, Albert Love, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV and Allen Love of San Diego, CA; a devoted church family; and several dedicated friends.

Family and friends may call from 9-11 am on Wednesday, August 24, at Mother AUFCMP Church, 9th & Franklin Sts., Wilmington, DE, where the funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park.

Michael P. Hurley

Age 45 of Concord Twp., PA died August 21, 2005 at home.

Born and raised in Salisbury, MD, Michael lived in Concord Twp. for the past 10 years and formerly in Clinton, CT and Plainsboro, NJ. He was a 1977 graduate of Wicomico High School in Salisbury, MD and a 1982 graduate of North Caroline State University, where he was a member of Delta Upsilon. He was a national sales manager for Uniqema in New Castle, DE. He was a member of Church of the Holy Child. Michael recently participated in a DU golf tournament in Charlotte, NC.

His father, James W. Hurley, died in 1979; and his sister, Gail Leigh Hurley, died in 1995. Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Anne M. Haigh Hurley; 3 sons, Michael, Matthew and Ryan; and a daughter, Julianne, all at home; his mother, Margaret D. "Maggie" Hurley of Dover, DE; brother, Timothy Hurley and his wife, Joellen, of Baltimore, MD; and uncle, Richard Dryden of Sacramento, CA. He was the son-in-law of John and Doris Haigh of Wilmington, DE; and the brother-in-law of John J. and Debbie Haigh, and Kathleen Haigh, all of Wilmington, DE. He is also survived by nephews, T.J., Kyle, Brendan and Connor Hurley, J.T. Haigh; and niece, Katie Haigh.

There will be a viewing from 6-9 pm on Wednesday, August 24, and from 9-10 am on Thursday, August 25, at the PAGANO FUNERAL HOME, 3711 Foulk Rd., Bethel Twp., PA. There will be a funeral mass at 10:30 am on Thursday at Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Rd., Wilmington, DE. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hurley Children's Trust Fund, c/o Commerce Bank, Rt.202 & Beaver Valley Rd., Chadds Ford, PA 19317.

Genevieve T. LaRouche "Jean"

Age 86 of Wilmington, DE passed away Sunday, August 21, 2005, at the Tilton Terrace Care Center in Wilmington.

Genevieve was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Hedwig Church and the ladies auxiliary of the Pulaksi Legion.

Her husband, Henry, passed away in June 1976.

She was also predeceased by her son, Eugene J. LaRouche; and son-in-law, Robert Stevens. She is survived by her sons, Henry LaRouche and his wife, Ellen, of Newark and John LaRouche and his wife, Marie, of Wilmington; a daughter, Genevieve Stevens of Wilmington; a brother, Casimir Gaworski of Wilmington; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter.

A mass will be offered at 9:30 am on Wednesday, August 24, at St. Hedwig Church, Linden & S. Harrison Sts., Wilmington. Burial will be in Cathedral cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 pm Tuesday, August 23, at the JOHN F. YASIK FUNERAL HOME, 607 S. Harrison St., Wilmington.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Hedwig Church, 408 S. Harrison St., Wilmington, DE 19805; or to Heartland Hospice, Stockton Bldg. #100, 261 Chapman Rd., Newark, DE 19702.

Edward Moore, Sr.

Age 97 went home to be with the Lord Saturday, August 20, 2005, at his home. Husband of the late Louise Moore. Beloved father of Lucille Pennington, Edward Moore, Jr., Rose Parsons, Daniel Moore, Joseph Moore and the late Mary, Paul and David Moore. Brother of Revinna Scott of FL, Alvillae Gatson and Dorothy McCant, both of NY. Also survived by 16 grandchildren. Funeral 11 am Thursday, August 25, at Fight for Families Church, 1016 Thames St., Belvedere. Viewing 9-10:45 am only. Burial Gracelawn.

Mary A. (Kaminski) Ciach Age 81 of Elsmere, DE died peacefully at Christiana Hospital on Wednesday, October 6, 2004.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 901 New Rd., Els-mere on Tuesday morning, October 12th, at 10 am.

Friends may call at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere, on Monday evening, October 11th, from 6-8 pm.

Interment will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial cemetery in Bear.

ALICEMAY M. CONNOR

Alicemay M. Connor Alicemay M. Connor, 65, of Manchester Park, Elkton, MD, died Friday, October 8, 2004 at Christiana Hospital after a very difficult seven month illness.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on January 16, 1939, she was the daughter of the late, Francis, Sr. and Elizabeth Hallman Thomas. She had served as secretary in the College of Urban Affairs and later as senior secretary in the College of Business and Economics, University of Delaware, retiring in January 2001. Prior to her illness, she was a volunteer at the Cecil County Pregnancy Center, Elkton. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Elkton and enjoyed traveling, reading and being with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, David Matthew Connor; her son David and his wife, Ann, and their children, Matthew, Elizabeth, Daniel and Allison, all of Elkton; her daughter, Marybeth Hundl and her husband, Randy, and their children, Connor and Maura, Austin, TX; daughter, Eileen Feustel and her husband, Scott, Middletown, DE; her aunt, Anna McNichol, Philadelphia, PA; her brother, Francis Thomas, Jr. and his wife, Ann, Conshocken, PA; and her extended family, including John and Norine Connor, Little Falls, NY, Marianne Cunningham, North Wildwood, NJ, Robert and Arleen Kerrigan, Newark, DE; and numerous nephews and nieces.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Norene Kerrigan.

Alicemay was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She will always be remembered with love and affection. May she rest in peace in the arms of her Heavenly Father.

The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the doctors and nurses at Christiana Hospital for their expert care, dedication and compassion.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am, Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at Immaculate Conception Church, Bow Street, Elkton, MD. Father Joseph Piekarski will officiate. Visitation will be held 7-9 pm, Tuesday, October 12, and 9:30-10:30 am, Wednesday, October 13 at HICKS HOME FOR FUNERALS, 103 W. Stockton St., Elkton, MD 21921. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that you may wish to contribute to the Christiana Care Nursing Excellence Fund in care of the funeral home.

Larry Davis

Larry Davis Age 48 of Wilmington, DE, died Monday, October 4, 2004 at Christiana Hospital.

He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Wanda Davis; children, Larry Wiggins, Kim Wiggins and Dawan Collick; brother, Robert Wilkins and his wife, Ella of NC; sister, Linda Worley and her husband, of Wilmington, DE; godmother, Clara Peebles of Wilmington; 6 grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Services will be held 11 am Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at New Community Church, 23rd & Monroe Sts., Wilmington, DE. Friends may call from 9-11 am Wednesday at the church. Interment at Delaware Veterans Memorial cemetery, Bear, DE.

Rhoda E. Ellingsworth Age 73, of Greenwood, DE, died Saturday, October 9, 2004 at her home in Greenwood. Service 1 pm on Thursday, October 14 at FLEISCHAUER FUNERAL HOME, 48 West Market St., Greenwood, DE. Friends may call Wednesday, 7-9 pm.

Burleigh D. Gravatt

Burleigh D. Gravatt Age 71, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 7, 2004.

Burleigh was a night manager for the Hess Gas Company for many years. She loved cross stitching, crocheting, spending time with her family and was an avid Phillies fan.

She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Willard Gravatt, Helen Sullivan, Ellen Burk, Evelyn Huffman, Rose Blanton, Katherine Greenwood, James Gravatt, Herman Gravatt, Richard Gravatt, and William Gravatt. She is also survived by Barbara, Nancy, and Allen; many nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Helen Gravatt.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Wednesday, October 13 at 10 am at the DOHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek, where friends may call on Tuesday evening, October 12, from 7-9. Burial will be in All Saints cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Diabetes Assoc., P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.

Nathan James Harmon

Nathan James Harmon Age 79 of Wilmington, DE departed this life on Sunday, October 3, 2004, at home, with family and friends surrounding him. His departure brought much sorrow, but his life was wrapped in joy.

He was preceded in death by mother, Helen Purnell, father Isaac Harmon and 1 sister, Louise Wooford. He leaves to mourn a sister, Barbara Williams; 2 nieces, Frances Murray and Mary Cooper; 1 great niece, and 1 great nephew; and a host of other family and friends. Services will be Tuesday October 12, 2004 at 7pm. Viewing will be held from 5-7 pm at St. Paul's U.A.M.E. Church, 3114 N. Market Street. Interment Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at Delaware Veterans cemetery.
