Joseph A. McNesby "JoeBoy"
Joseph McNesby, age 82, of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on March 1, 2004 at home surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Born September 16, 1921, Mr. McNesby was 1 of 5 children born to the late Teresa (Halloran) and Joseph McNesby.
Joe was a life long resident of Wilmington having grown up in the Jackson Street area where he developed friendships that he maintained throughout his entire lifetime. He attended St. Paul's grade school and Salesianum prior to his enlistment in the U.S. Army where he fought for our country in World War II having toured Italy, North Africa and Casa Blanca.
After his military service, he then worked for the U.S. Post Office for over 30 years mostly at the Union Street Station.
Joe was a deeply religious man who practiced his faith and truly lived his life by the golden rule. Always putting others before himself, he served as a role model to his children and grandchildren on how to treat and help others in need. A long time member of St Elizabeth's Church, he emphasized the importance of having faith in the Lord. He was also known for his unique sense of humor and enjoyed the time he spent with his many friends at the Defiance Athletic Association. An avid golfer, he enjoyed the times he spent with his friends, nephews, sons and grandsons in the Defiance Golf league and annual Blue-Gold and CYM golf outings.
Joe was known for his long walks and treasured the times he spent at the beach, especially in Lewes. He was most proud of the 11 grandchildren that survive him and developed a special relationship with each one.
Mr. McNesby was predeceased by the love of his life, Margaret, in 1997 and was a devoted husband for 49 years. He was also predeceased by his sisters, Teresa McNesby and Alice Skibicki and is survived by his sisters, Dorothy Feola of Mawah, NJ and Frances Renai of Wilmington. Joe is also survived by his 6 children, daughter, Teesie and husband, John Bonk, daughter, Patricia and husband, Jay Milewski, son, Joseph and wife, Sharon McNesby, son, Jerry and wife, Debbie McNesby and sons, Daniel and Michael McNesby with whom he lived. His grandchildren include, Mary Kathleen Reinbold, Erin, Theresa, J. Andrew, III, Kristen and Mikey McNesby, Shawn, Meghan and Michael Patrick Bonk and Brian and Jay Milewski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 5th at 10:30 am at St. Elizabeth's Church, Cedar and Clayton Streets, Wilmington where visitation will take place on Thursday evening between 6-8 pm.
Interment will be at All Saints cemetery, Wilmington.

Lucille Anderson
Lucille Viola Anderson went home to be with the Lord on July 29, 2004 at the age of 88. She was the daughter of the late, William and Sarah Taylor. Her husband of 46 years, Holstein Anderson, preceded her in death on July 29, 1980.
She was a former member of Star of Bethlem AUMP Church and Alpha Baptist Church of Newport, DE, where she served as a deaconess, a member of the missionary board, and president of the pastor's aide.
Mrs. Anderson was a loving and devoted mother of 12 children. She is survived by 9 sons, Holstein, Jr., Sylvester C., Ernest L., Earl W., Albert T., Roland C., Gary V., Anthony E. and Wayne G.; and 3 daughters, Doris L. Joyner, Arvella C. Robinson and Catherine M. Anderson; 1 stepdaughter, Theresa O. Wilks; 2 sisters, Bertha Pierce and Dorothy Campher; 28 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased in death by 3 grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held at Simpson United Methodist Church, 907 Centerville Road, Wilmington at 11 am on Wednesday, August 4, 2004. Viewing will be at the church from 9 to 11. Interment in Gracelawn Memorial Park. Arr. by CONGO FUNERAL HOME

Mrs. Connie (Angelini) Breda, 88 of Wilmington, DE, passed away Sunday evening, August 1, 2004.

Francisco Burgos Sr. "Sico"
Age 71 of Wilmington died Monday August 2, 2004 at the home of his daughter.
"Sico" was born August 19, 1932 in Mariana, Humacao, Puerto Rico and came to the United States in 1952.
Francisco worked for 38 years at the B.F. Rich Company, retiring after becoming ill and Star Janitorial for over 20 years.
He was an active member of St. Paul's Catholic Church.
He was a devoted father and husband.
He loved playing dominoes with friends and son in laws.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gabino and Eusebia Burgos; his sister Sara; and his brothers, Andres, Nicholas and Felipe Burgos; and his grandchildren Alex Baez and Jason Beltran. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Paulina "Nole" Burgos; 11 children, Carmen and Felix Beltran of Wilmington, Andrea and Miguel Santiago of Wilmington, Ruperto Burgos and his fianc‚ Maribel Rosa of Orlando, Florida, Celia and Francisco Baez of Wilmington, Luz and Luis Rivera of Wilmington, Nilda Burgos of Wilmington, Jose and Pam Burgos of Newark, David and Denisse Burgos of Elkton, Maryland, Andre Burgos and Deborah of Maryland, Franciso Jr. and Anin Burgos of Mullica Hill, New Jersey and Sylvia Balbuena of Elsmere; 29 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Rosa of Wilmington; and his brother Juan of Wilmington, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Burgos would like to thank the doctors, nurses and aides at St. Francis Hospital, 4th and 7th floors, St. Francis Home Care, Maximus, the Department of Aging and Heartland Hospice for all their care.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Friday morning at 11 am at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 1010 W. 4th Street, Wilmington.
Burial will be in Cathedral cemetery.

Agnes Marie Casey (Hillis) "Aggie"
Age 48, was joined with the Lord on Friday, July 30, 2004. Aggie was born on March 2, 1956 in Wilmington, DE.
To know her was to love her. Those who loved her knew her rich sense of humor and her ability to bring laughter to any situation. She was truly the family entertainer!! Her deep, caring spirit touched those with whom she had contact, whether in her work as a nurse, as a massage therapist or in her everyday life. She enjoyed singing and was very good at it...if she knew the words. She loved to read and to watch old Cary Grant movies. She found joy in her relationship with God, her friends and her family.
She is predeceased by "Granny" Agnes Kruzienski, for whom she is named; her sister Margaret (Peggy) Hillis, her sister, Helene (Lenie) Hillis; and her niece Lexie Hillis. She is survived by her son, Brian Casey, her daughter, Jill Casey and her husband Mark Casey, and their granddaughter Kylie Casey. She is also survived by her parents, Donald and Helen Hillis. She will be dearly missed by her brother, Donnie Hillis and his wife Joan; her 4 sisters, Miki Williams and her husband Bruce, Mary June and her husband Bernie, Marti Denis and her husband Jack, Sheila DiNardo and her husband Bill. Her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and A great-nephew will always remember the aunt that made them giggle. She will also be missed by countless friends.
A memorial service will be held 1 pm Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at Mt. Salem Methodist Church, 19th and Mt. Salem Lane.

Robert Ian Dick
Age 22, of Wilmington, DE passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2004 at his residence.
Born in Wilmington, DE he was the son of Ronald and Janet (Hosey) Dick.
He was a 2000 graduate of The Charter School of Wilmington.
He enjoyed rollerblading and working with computers which became his career at Vestcom Mid-Atlantic in Newark, DE.
In addition to his parents, Robert is survived by 2 sisters, Laura Ballow and Sarah Dick both of Wilmington, DE; and a brother, Pete Wolski of Key West, FL.
Friends and Relatives are invited to attend Robert's Life Celebration at BEESON MEMORIAL SERVICES, 412 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE at 1 pm Thursday, August 5.

Mabel K. Dixon
Age 87 of Oxford, PA passed away Sunday, August 1, 2004 in the Union Hospital, Elkton, MD.
She was born in Jefferson, NC, on August 12, 1916 to the late Reuben and Judy Dixon. She lived in Oxford, PA area for over 50 years.
Mabel was a seamstress and a loving mother and grandmother who loved to care for people.
She is survived by 2 sons, James R. Dixon and his wife Maggie of Rising Sun, MD and William D. Dixon and his wife Ann of Orbisonia, PA; 4 grandchildren, Don Dixon of Colorado, Marty Dixon of Ohio, Mike Dixon of Delaware and Kathy Murani of PA; 2 step-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Maxine Dixon, Grace Everett and Mary Jones all of Oxford, PA. One brother and 1 sister preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held 11 am Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at the EDWARD L. COLLINS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 86 Pine St., Oxford, PA, where relatives and friends may call from 10-11 am Wednesday. Interment will be in Oxford cemetery.

Mary A. Forst
Age 86, beloved mother, grandma, and granny of Bear, DE, formerly of Newark, died on Sunday, August 1, 2004, at Union Hospital in Elkton.
Mrs. Forst was born in Astoria, NY on August 4, 1917. A talented homemaker, she devoted her life to caring for her beloved family. In her leisure time, Mrs. Forst enjoyed membership at both the Elkton and Newark Senior Centers. She also enjoyed playing computer games and rummy, solving crossword puzzles, watching favorite television programs, and crocheting. In recent years, Mrs. Forst was happy to make her home with her daughters, dividing her time between Elkton and Bear.
Her husband, Joseph A. Forst, died in 1991. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Marie Felix Ruth; her father, Anton Ruth; and her stepmother, Augusta Ruth. She is survived by 5 children, Joseph A. Forst, Jr. and his wife Cynthia, of Brentwood, LI, NY, Mary A. Imperatore and her husband Arthur, of Bear, Bertha R. Lawler of Newark, Betty Ann Meli and her husband Charles, of Palm Coast, FL, and Jo Ann Mullon and her husband Tod, of Elkton; a sister, Bertha Ashcroft and her husband Alan, of Hollywood, FL; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Friends may call 6-8 pm on Tuesday, August 3, 2004, at the SPICER-MULLIKIN FUNERAL HOME, 121 w. Park Place, Newark. A committal service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, August 4, 2004, in the chapel of Delaware Veterans Memorial cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear.

Edward B. Heyden Jr.
Age 80 of Ocean Pines, MD died Sunday, August 1, 2004 at home.
He was born in Orange, NJ and attended Texas Christian University prior to enlisting in the Army Air Corps. He served in the Pacific as a flight engineer on B-29's. He was awarded the air medal. He graduated from Rutgers University, than taught academics and coached football and basketball at high schools in New York, He was a guidance counselor in Southampton High School and Mt. Pleasant High School in Brandywine School District in Wilmington, DE. He was President of Delaware Personnel and Guidance Assoc., and counselor of the year in 1968. He was also the past President of Ocean Pines Kiwanis Club and former member of the Ocean Pines Men's Golf Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward B and Florence Weston Heyden. He is survived by his wife, Lois Comrie Heyden of Ocean Pines; 3 sons, Dr. Edward Heyden III and Robin Pittman of Hallandale, FL, Richard Heyden, and his wife, Mary Frances of Prescott, AZ, Michael C. Heyden and his wife, Michele of Wilmington, DE; 2 daughters, Mary Ellen Warren and her husband, Marvin of Wilmington, DE, Nancy Meredith of Ocean Pines, MD; 2 sisters, Gale Templeton of New York City, NY and Joyce Hintz of Westfield, NJ; 5 grandchildren, Carolyn Heyden, Richard Appel, Stacey McMinds, Samantha Meredith and Michael Heyden, Jr; and 1 great grandchild, Marissa McMinds.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, August 5, 2004 at 10:30 am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Ocean Pines, MD, where Father Edward Fahey will officiate. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Delaware Veterans cemetery, Millsboro, DE at 2 pm.
