Rose Marie Anderson

Rose Marie Anderson of Dover, formerly of Lewes, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2005, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Hopkinsville, Ky., daughter of the late Thomas and Rosa Powell Cash.
She had been employed at Arby’s in Dover from 1986 until illness forced her retirement in 1999.
Mrs. Anderson enjoyed writing poetry and had written several songs. She was a loving mother and grandmother and she will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, David Lee Rodan.
She is survived by a son, Jeff Anderson of Dover; two daughters, Julie Anderson of Scottsdale, Ariz. and Rosa Carlisle of Fruitland, Md.; two brothers, James T. Cash of Green Valley, Ariz. and Robert E. Cash of Melbourne, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be private in the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover. Burial will be private in Lewes.
Robert L. Dishman,

Robert L. Dishman, 61, of Milton passed away Sunday, Oct. 2, 2005, in his home.
Mr. Dishman was born in Canebrake, W.Va., son of the late Giles and Mida Dishman.
He was a Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam era as an electrician’s mate in submarine service for eight years.
Mr. Dishman had owned and operated Dishman Electric since 1979, retiring in 2004 due to disability. He had also taught electrical trades classes at Sussex Tech.
He enjoyed his grandchildren, camping and anything mechanical. Mr. Dishman was a past member of the Electrical Contractors Association and the Milton Lions Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, John Dishman, Ed Dishman, Frank Dishman, Emory Dishman and Roger Dishman.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Shirley Donovan Dishman; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Paula and John Emory of Milton and Terry and Jay Snyder of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Crystal Snyder, Robbie Emory and Jamie Emory; and two brothers, Hansel Dishman of West Virginia and Carl Dishman of Virginia.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, in the funeral home.
Burial will be a later date.

Bobby G. Mills,

Bobby G. Mills, 70 of Frankford, passed away peacefully Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, Md.
The first son of Romaine Little Mills and the late Luther “Ted” Mills, he was born in Inez, Ky., July 17, 1935. He was a graduate of Inez High School class of 1954 and a member of the 1953-54 state championship basketball team. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Bobby was the owner/operator of Mills Plumbing & Heating of Frankford and was a licensed Master Plumber for 35 years. He was also owner of Tug River Farms of Frankford and a breeder of standard bred horses. He was an active member of the Delaware Standard Bred Breeders Association, United States Trotting Association and Ducks Unlimited, as well as a member of Roxana Wesleyan Church near Frankford.
Besides his father, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Claggett and Buster Mills.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his loving family, daughter Susan Mills of Lewes; granddaughter Jessica Witt of Frankford; four sisters, Neva Tait and husband Ronald, Barbara Hill and husband Robert, Linda Trojack and husband Terrance, all of Columbus, Oh., and Anita Kay Gronas of Westland, Mich.; his special nephew and business partner, Michael Tait and wife Ann of Dagsboro; many other nieces and nephews; and special uncles James Mills and wife Peggy, Claude Mills and wife Ruth Ann, all of Columbus.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 5, at Roxana Wesleyan Church near Frankford, where friends may call after noon. Friends may also call from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 4, in the Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, Thatcher Street, Frankford. Burial will be in Inez, Ky.

Jule ‘Toby” Hallet,

Jule “Toby” William Hallet, 76, of Rehoboth Beach, died Saturday, Oct, 1, 2005, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes.
Mr. Hallet was born Jan. 6, 1929 in Lena, Wisc. to the late Edwin and Mabel Hallet.
Mr. Hallet was the former owner of Midway Chevrolet, Oldsmobile & Cadillac of Pocomoke City, Md. in the 1960s and he also owned and operated Toby Hallet Oldsmobiles of Baltimore, Md. in the 1970s. He officially retired in the 1980s from various other automotive positions.
He was a member of St. Jude The Apostle Catholic Church, the Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge #2540 of Lewes and the Rehoboth Beach American Legion Post. He was a Navy veteran of WW II.
Mr. Hallet was preceded in death by his wife, Miriam Yvonne (Smith) Hallet in 2004.
He is survived by three sons: Michael William Hallet of Baltimore, Patrick Roscoe Hallet of Manassas, Va., and Robert Jule Hallet of Severna Park, Md.; a daughter, Sharon Karla Wilson of Baltimore; and four grandchildren, Karla, Kelly, Jake and Jordan.

Anna Marsh,

Anna Marsh, 93, of Milton, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes.
Mrs. Marsh was born April 20, 1912 in MacGregor, Mich. to the late Andrew and Katherine “Stuckert” Cole.
Mrs. Marsh moved to Delaware in 1994 and loved living in Delaware after having lived in Michigan. She enjoyed playing bingo, making new friends, watching people and reading.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marsh was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert C. Marsh Sr. in 1994; a grandson, Stephen; three brothers, Bill Kohl, Henry Cole and Andrew Cole; and two sisters, Rose Fretenborough and Molly Chapman.
She is survived by her daughter, Anna Marsh Virginski of Milton; her son, Delbert C. Marsh Jr. of Port Huron, Mich.; 11 grandchildren; many great grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandhild; and one sister, Elizabeth Carr of Port Huron.

Marcia Shihadeh,
Rehoboth restaurateur
Marcia Shihadeh, of Rehoboth Beach and Henlopen Acres, beloved wife, sister, aunt and friend, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005, at home following a brief illness.
Marcia was born in Ketchikan, Alaska, Jan. 19, 1949, the second of nine children born to the late Henry and Jane Boynton Weed.
While living in New York City, Marcia was employed at Cunard Trafalger. It was in New York City that she met the man who would become her partner in life, Mohammad “Richie” Shihadeh. They married in 1974 and moved to Rehoboth Beach in 1975, to establish The Camel’s Hump Restaurant which they operated for 30 years before closing the doors in Sept. 2005.
Marcia was proud to serve on the Delaware Real Estate Commission as a public member. She will be remembered for her generosity, her humor and her zest for life.
In addition to her husband, Marcia is survived by her three sisters, Suzanne Monaghan and her husband, Allen, of Hornell, N.Y., Georgia Weed of Ithaca, N.Y., and Lucia Sacco and her husband, Mark, of Ithaca, N.Y.; three brothers, William Weed of Bath, N.Y., David Weed and his wife, Noelle, of Dover, and Luke Weed and his wife, Debbie, of Honeoye, N.Y.; and her loving nieces and nephews, Katie Monaghan, Julia Monaghan, Jonathan Weed, Danielle Blanton, Jodi Weed, Matt Sacco, Nick Sacco, Whitney Weed, Sara Weed, Josh Weed, Andrew Weed and Haley Weed.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Wesley and Matthew.

Robert Joseph Riniker,

Robert Joseph Riniker, 65, of Lewes, passed away in his home Nov. 23, 2005. He was a 1958 graduate of Lewes High School.
He attended Philadelphia College of Art and worked as a designer for Gimbel’s Department Store for 11 years. He returned to Lewes in 1977 where he worked for Tom Best in the garden center.
He is the son of the late Franklin and Marian Riniker of Lewes. He is survived by his brother James Riniker, an uncle Medford King, his aunts Catherine Riniker and Wanda King, his cousins Doug Riniker, Kay Riniker Pierce, Ben King, Tom King, and Sandra King Flynn.

Bettie S. (Stallings) Wheeler, 87, of Georgetown, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2005, at Harrison Senior Living in Georgetown.
Mrs. Wheeler was born in McKeesport, Pa., to William B. and Belle (Whigham) Stallings in 1918. She graduated from McKeesport High School and the University of West Virginia. She was employed as a junior high school teacher for many years in Pennsylvania. After retiring she moved to Rehoboth Beach and sold real estate for Virginia Joy Realtors.
Mrs. Wheeler was a member of Westminister Presbyterian Church of Rehoboth Beach.
She is survived by her husband, John M. Wheeler; a daughter, Anne Velazquez and her husband Edward of Georgia; and one son, John M. Wheeler Jr. and his wife Karen of Selbyville.
Services and burial will be private.

V. Loretta Bunting, 76, of Georgetown, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2005, in her home..
Mrs. Bunting was born Feb. 11, 1929, in Georgetown, daughter of the late Harry A. and Ella M. (Calloway) Joseph.
She was employed at Arrow Safety Device, National Cash Register and the cafeteria at Delaware Technical & Community College.
Her pastimes were crafts including arranging flowers.
Mrs. Bunting valued her church, Bethesda United Methodist Church, and its members and had been a board member, a secretary, a choir member, and a nominating committee member. She dedicated her time teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years and also had been a secretary and member of the United Methodist Women. She worked in the Robin Hood Thrift Shop and visited the Millsboro Nursing Home, Green Valley Terrace to bring her crafts and brighten the days of the patients.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin L. Joseph; and two sisters, Hilda Pettyjohn and Janie Smith.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Clifford Bunting; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Stanley and Rebecca Bunting and Charles and Mary Jean Bunting, all of Georgetown; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Thelma Corso and Shirley and Jim Short; two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Carol and Harry Moore and Thelma and Donald Brittingham; five grandchildren and their spouses, Wendy Schiavone, Christopher and Robin Bunting, Jessica and Allen Hazzard; Kelly Lewis and Kenny and Kimberly Pettyjohn; a great-grandson, Trevor Schiavone; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services were held in the Chapel of Short Funeral Services, Georgetown, with burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park, U.S. 113, Millsboro.

Wayne L. Watson, 48, of Milton died of natural causes Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Watson was born Dec. 5, 1956, in Milford, son of Morris and Juanita Watson.
He was employed by the town of Milton.
Mr. Watson was a member of the Bethel A.M.E. Church, where he served on the men’s choir.
He is survived by his wife, Myra Watson of Lincoln; a son, Wayne A. Watson of Milton; a grandson, Malachi Watson of Harrington; his father and stepmother, Morris and Henrietta Watson of Milton, his mother, Juanita Watson of Seaford; two sisters, Marcia Cannon of Bridgeville and Sharon Watson of Milton; two brothers, Henri Blake of Millsboro and Garland Fountain of Claymont; three uncles, John Freshwater of Seaford, Raymond Williams of Georgetown and Woolford Fountain of Philadelphia; two stepchildren, Jerome Shockley and Carinda Shockley, both of Lincoln; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services were held in Bethel A.M.E. Church, Milton, where friends may call two hours earlier.
Burial will be in the First Congregational cemetery , Milton.
