Earnest Ray Dalton, Jr., age 56, of Bonita Springs, died Tuesday June 8, 2004 at his residence. He was born October 15, 1947 in Alliance, Ohio to Earnest Ray and Mary Margaret Long Dalton. He had worked for B & W Research in Alliance, OH before moving to Bonita Springs in 1979. He worked at the Naples-Ft. Myers Greyhound Track and Buffalo Chips Restaurant in Bonita Springs.
Mr. Dalton is survived by two sons, Christopher Dalton of Blackburg, VA and Earnest Ray Dalton III of Naples, FL, two daughters, Brooke Belford of Anchorage, Alaska and Liane Dalton of Naples, FL, two brothers, Ted Butler and Terry Dalton both of Orlando, FL and three grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother M. A. Butler.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday June 12, 2004 at 1:00 PM at Walter Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home.

Mary Anna Woodword McNamara Herzog was born on June 16, 1921. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, her family was her greatest treasure. She was married to the late Col. Harry McNamara, Jr. for 27 years.
She leaves behind Elmer Herzog, her current husband of 26 years; her two daughters, Helen Ann (Joe) Kroll of Fort Myers, FL and Connie (Mike) Karpinsky of Augusta, GA; her son, Harry McNamara, III of Cincinnati, OH, eight grandchildren, John Harris and Cliff Harris of Carrollton, GA, Robert Harris of San Antonio, TX, Mary Ann Gilvin of Atlanta, GA, George Ryan Karpinsky of Hopkinsville, KY, Micheala Gonzales of Orlando, FL, Katy McNamara of Cincinnati, OH, Cory McNamara of Cincinnati, OH; and nine great-grandchildren, Joshua Harris, Daniel Harris, Lauren Harris, Jim Harris, Madison Harris, Alyssa Harris, Justin Gilvin, Sarah Gilvin, and Joey Gonzales.
Mary Anna was born and raised in Wenonah, NJH, and graduated from Woodbury High School. She married, then Lt. Harry McNamara, in 1942 and began a career as an Army wife. She spent the next 27 years in many parts of the world being a role model for all Army wives. She graciously entertained Generals, Diplomats, and privates as well with equal success and compassion. All the while, she was a devoted wife and caring mother to her children. She successfully supported her husband, Col McNamara, Jr. at many positions, including military Attach to Paraguay, 37th Tank Battalion Commander at Ft. Stewart, GA, and Brigade and Armor Schools Commander at Ft. Knox, KY. Additionally Mary Anna Spent countless hours of volunteer work, supporting Army families, and the Red Cross.
Mary Anna married Elmer Herzog in 1979, and moved to Cape Coral, FL, three years later. During the ensuing years she and Elmer split their time between Cape Coral, FL and Cape May, MJ, where she had a summer home. She was a member of the Cape Coral First United Methodist Church, its Friendship Circle, and its Asbury Sunday School Class. She was a member of Eastern Star and was also a member of the PEO Sisterhood for 31 years, 23 of which was in Chapter DF of Cape Coral, FL.
Her life touched many hearts. Her family and friends will miss her dearly, but her spirit will live with them forever.
A memorial service will be Saturday, June 12, 2004 at 2:00PM at First United Methodist Church of Cape Coral with Pastor John Wilson officiating.

Lemon Johnson, 81, of Ft. Myers, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2004 at his home. He was born December 20, 1922 in Sanford, FL.
Mr. Johnson owned and operated 'Lemon Johnson's Lawn Care' serving Ft. Myers Beach, and many surrounding areas for many years.
He was predeceased by his wife Stella Johnson, and one son Terry Johnson. He is survived by 7 daughters, 2 sons, 24 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Johnson will be Saturday, June 12, 2004 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Harlem Heights. Family will receive friends Friday from 4 to 7 PM at the Barrett Funeral Chapel, 2305 Henderson Ave., Ft. Myers. FL.

Max Noel Mansell, age 82, of Bonita Springs, died peacefully in his sleep Monday, June 7, 2004 at his residence.
Mr. Mansell was born December 22, 1921 in St. Micheals, Pennsylvania to Henry and Margaret Fowler Mansell. He served proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII, April 6, 1942 to December 11, 1945 with the 460th Amphibious Truck Company and he praticipated in the D-Day landing in Normandy. He had retired from the Union Rail Road in Pennsylvania as a conductor in 1978 after 33 years of employment and moved to Bonita Springs in 1979. Max was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Eagles in Bonita Springs.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Rose M. 'George' Mansell and many dear friends.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Walter Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Charles Thomas (Tom) Martin, passed into a better world on Monday, June 7, 2004 at the age of 66. He was born in Hardinsburg, KY July 24, 1937 to Beulah (Gannaway) and Oscar Thomas Martin. He grew up in Louisville and attended Manual High School and U of L. He later moved to St. Petersburg and attended Univ. of Tampa. He worked in the lumber and home improvement business. Tom was involved in civic groups and a Senior Citizen Advocate for many areas. Tom was an active member in the United Methodist Church.
His father predeceased Tom. His wife Ann of 23 years survives him, his mother Beulah, sisters Suzanne and Paulette of Tampa, his brother Jack of NC, daughter Gail of Atlanta, sons Jack (Michelle) and Kevin of Tampa, and 4 grandchildren, step-children, Dan, Mark, Marianne & David, 6 step-grandchildren and a step-great-granddaughter. Also his former wife Barbara Martin of Lakeland, FL.
A memorial service will be held on Monday June 14, 2004 at 3 PM at the Cypress Lake United Methodist Church, Ft. Myers, FL.

Norman Meisel, 81, of Cape Coral died Wednesday June 9, 2004 at Health Park Hospital. The son of the late Louis and Jeanette (Shoop) Meisel, he was born June 24, 1922 in Chicago, IL. Norman married Beverly Greenberger in 1954. He lived many years in New Kensington, PA. Before moving to Cape Coral in 1969. Norman worked for Sears in Ft. Myers for many years where he operated his own watch repair concession. Norman was a member of Temple Beth Shalom and served his country honorably with the U.S. Army during WW II.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Sunday June 13, 2004 at the Metz Funeral Chapel in Cape Coral with Rabbi Albert J. Cohen officiating. Burial will follow at Ft. Myers Cemetery in the Temple Bethel Garden of Memories at 11:00 AM. Following the burial the family will receive friends for fellowship and refreshments at Temple Beth Shalom in Cape Coral. Arrangements by the Metz Chapel of Harvey Engelhardt Metz Funeral Homes and Crematory Cape Coral.

Mark S. Scroggy, 53, of Lehigh Acres passed away June 8, 2004.
He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Weis and grandson, Dillon Weis, mother Peg Scroggy, brother, Glenn Scroggy, sisters, Barbara Rocha and Sharon Gonzalez, nephews, Roberto and Jesus Gonzalez, Christopher & Michael Rocha, Uncle James Crawford and Great Aunt Georgianna Pyle.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 12th, at Lee Memorial Park Funeral Home from 10:00 AM to 12:00 AM.

Carl Sigmund born Jan. 17, 1908 in New York City, died Nov. 2, 2003 in N. Ft. Myers. His last 6 years were spent with his significant other and caregiver Sylvia Elkins, at their home in N. Ft. Myers.

Casper Tootgooshian, born Sept. 20, 1925 in Camden, NJ passed away peacefully June 8, 2004.
Casper, who served aboard the aircraft carrier Essex during W.W.II was an avid ham-radio operator, pilot and car enthusiast whose many talents enabled him to also build his own airplane and sailboat.
Following his retirement from the Federal Government (General Electric Space Division) in 1983 Casper enjoyed traveling with his wife and in 1991 relocated from W. Bristol, PA to Cape Coral, FL.
He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife Anne. Survivors include Daughters Joyce (Larry) Stuardi, Virginia (Lee) Stout & Michele (Michael) Mitchell, Grandchildren Jerry, Danielle, Eric, Christopher & Madison, five Great-grandchildren and Nephews Joe Yasaian & Dino Conzalaro.
