RUBYE BAGGETT
Mrs. Rubye D. Baggett, 85, of 2910 W. 14th St., Panama City, died Wednesday, May 24, 2000, at her home. Born in Evans, La., she moved to Panama City in 1929 from Derider, La. She was the lunchroom manager at St. Andrews Elementary and Northside Elementary schools. She retired from the Bay County School Board after 30 years of service and was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Her husband, Malcolm M. Baggett, and a son, Malcolm Morris, Jr., precede Mrs. Baggett in death. She is survived by two sons, Leo Baggett and wife Frandy of Lynn Haven, Greg Baggett and wife Kay of Ocean Springs; four daughters, Pat McPhail and husband Mike of Venice, Fla., Charlotte Smith and husband Richard of St. Louis, Mo., Maxine Atwell and husband Tony, Angela Tucker and husband Joe, all of Panama City; one brother, Spencer Davis of Bainbridge, Ga.; one sister, Rose Owens of Callaway; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held today, May 27, 2000, at 2 p.m. in the Southerland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Baggett's grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be all members of the Bay County School Food Service Association, both active and retired.

ESSIE GREEN
Mother Essie Green, 85, of 3615 E. Second St., died Friday, May 19, in Bay Medical Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Green will be held today, May 27, at 1 p.m. in Antioch Temple Church of God in Christ with Supt. John Gipson, pastor, and Bishop Frank Stallworth, officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. The remains will lie in state one hour prior to service at the church. The family will receive friends at their residence of 3615 E. 2nd St., Springfield.

LUE VICTORIA HEWITT
Mrs. Lue Victoria Hewitt, age 80, of 7431 Coe Road, Panama City, Fla., passed away peacefuly Wednesday, May 24, 2000, at her home. She had been a resident of the area since 1971, moving here from New Port Richey, Fla. She was a homemaker who loved fishing, camping, and sewing. Mrs. Hewitt loved to travel with her husband all over the United States. She was also Baptist by faith. Mrs. Hewitt is survived by her husband of 47 years, Chester Hewitt of Panama City; three sons: Donald L. Hewitt and his wife Linda, Danny E. Hewitt and his wife Sherry, and Jimmy D. Hewitt and his wife Darlene, all of Panama City; three children from a previous marriage to the late Mr. Carl Pence who died in the service: Robert H. Pence and his wife Ernestine of Panama City, Carl L. Pence Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Somerset, Ky., and the late Alvis Ray Pence; two brothers, Eugene Simpson and Orville Simpson, both of Kentucky; three sisters: Carolyn Simpson and Ruth New, both of Kentucky, and Dianne Murray of Panama City; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, May 27, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Randy Kuhn officiating. Interment will follow.

EUNICE E. HUTTON
Mrs. Eunice E. Hutton, 89, of Panama City, died Thursday, May 25, 2000, in a local nursing home. Born in Millville, she was a lifelong resident of Bay County. She was a homemaker and a member of first Baptist Church. Her husband, John A. Hutton Sr., precedes Mrs. Hutton in death. Private family services will be held at a later date. Mrs. Hutton will be buried next to her husband in Greenwood Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mr. Charles Gene Long, 27, of Panama City, will be held today at 10 a.m. in the Southerland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J.W. Hunt officiating. Funeral services for Mrs. Kathy Warren, age 54, of 1028 S. Katherine Ave., Panama City, Fla., who went to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 24, 2000, will be held 10 a.m. today, May 27, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.

ANITA R. ADAMS
Mrs. Anita R. Adams, 75, of Panama City, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 25, 2000. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Gladys Redmond. Anita was born in Panama City and was a faithful employee of Bay National Bank for 50 years. She was a charter member of Central Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Harriel D. Adams of Panama City; three children, Dianne Robb and her husband Lee of Panama City, Nancy Jane Rowe and her husband Henry of Lecanto, and Philip Adams and his wife Cheryl of Fort Stanton, N.M.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren who were the love of her life and affectionately called her "Nanny." Anita held her family very dear and we all have wonderful memories of family gatherings and vacations. Her favorite spot to take her children and grandchildren was the beaches of Panama City. She is also survived by two sisters, Barbara Boger and her husband Bill, and Gloria Ashman, all of Panama City; one brother, Andy Redmond and his wife Celia of Panama City Beach. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hugh F. Pyle, their pastor of many years and the Rev. Richard White, pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are, Brad Adams, Jeff Robb, Daniel Rowe, Henry Rowe III, Jim Redmond, and David Redmon. Honorary pallbearers will include, Mike Ashman, Rob Ashman, and Bill Boger. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, May 29, 2000, from 6 until 8 p.m.

MARY JO CLAMPITT
Mrs. Mary Jo Clampitt, 87, of Lynn Haven passed away peacefully on Friday, May 25, 2000, at Bay Medical Center. She had been a resident of Lynn Haven since 1989, moving here from the New Jersey area. She was a member of St. Andrew Methodist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Onis H. Clampitt. Survivors include her son Rich Clampitt and wife Paula of Lynn Haven; a daughter Connie Redfern and husband John of Panama City; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at 3 p.m. today, May 28, 2000, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Hugh Garver officiating.

IRENE DEAN
Mrs. Irene Dean, 87, of 3120 Douglas Rd., Panama City, died May 26, 2000. She had been a resident of the area since 1940 and was a past member of the order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Dean is survived by her husband of 63 years, Herbert Dean of Panama City; son, James C. Dean and wife Fleta of Panama City; daughter, Bettie Bailey and husband Don of Eustis; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Tom Douglas officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Andrews Presbyterian Church Member Fund. Interment will follow.

BILLY DON BURCH SR.
Mr. Billy Don Burch Sr., 65, of Springfield, died earlier this week at his residence. Mr. Burch was a lifelong resident of Bay County and was an electrician for Gulf Power Co. He was also a member of the IVEW union. A daughter, Diane Burch Sissom, preceded Billy Don in death. He is survived by one son, Billy Don Burch Jr. of Callaway; daughter, Charlotte Anderson of Callaway; two sisters, Wonda Galloway of Haynes City, Fla., and Jean Bush of Marianna; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Graveside funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, May 30, at 10 a.m. in Callaway Cemetery.
