Edward L. Williams, 69, an accountant of Tallahassee died March 14, 2004 in Tallahassee.
He received his accounting degree from FAMU and spent 45 years in the accounting department with Florida A&M University, most recently heading up the contracts and grants department. He was a member of the AME Church.
He was preceded in death by: an aunt, Esther Bryant; two sisters, Octavia Austin and Mary Ann Ransome; and a son, Kenneth Stanley Williams.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dorothy Williams; a son, Kevin T. Williams of Tallahassee; two daughters, Joyce Williams of Tampa and Shameka Williams of Tallahassee; eight grandchildren; a brother, Joseph L. Williams of New York; and two nephews.
The funeral will be held Friday, March 19, at 11 a.m. at Abbey-Riposta Funeral Home in Tallahassee. Burial will be at Tallahassee Memory Gardens in Tallahassee.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. today, Thursday, March 18, at the funeral home.
Fuller Ming Sr., 70, of 20890 Southeast Azalea Drive in Blountstown died Sunday night, March 14, 2004, at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born in Marianna and had been living in Blountstown for many years after retiring in Washington D.C. He was a member of the St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church in Blountstown.
He was a veteran of the Unites States Army, "The First Battalion 325 Airborne." He retired from the National Institute of Health in Washington D.C.
He was manager and musician for the Blountstown Male Chorus for many years. He also served on the Industrial Development Authority and as vice president of the Mayhaw Committee in Blountstown.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 16 years, Hazel Ming of Blountstown; two sons, Fuller Ming Jr. and wife Michelle of Lagham, Md. and Keyon Ming and wife Mechelle of Petersburg, Va.; two daughters, Viola Copsy and husband George of Killean, Texas and Yvonne West and husband Dmitre of Fredericksburg, Va.; one step-son, Bernett Nealey of San Diego, Calif.; three step-daughters, Marlene Young and Renee Young, both of Washington , D.C., and Gloria Thompson and husband Clemon of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters, Nesbie Dupey and husband Victor of Vineland, N.J. and Cynthia Rawles of Washington , D.C.; two brothers, James Rawles and Edwin Rawles, both of Jacksonville; 10 grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Saturday, March 20, at the St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church at 1 p.m. with Revs. D. Reed, C.L. Wilson, Gary Reed, Rosetta Baker, G.B. Sheard and David Rhone officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Memory Garden in Grand Ridge with Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna directing.
The body will lie at the church two hours prior to the funeral.
George L. Burnham Sr., 77, died at his residence Sunday evening, March 21, 2004, following a brief illness. Mr. Burnham was born June 10, 1925, in Wellborn, Fla., where he spent most of his life. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II, was a member of the Wellborn United Methodist Church and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family very much and loved golfing and camping. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mrs. Marilyn Carver Burnham of Marianna, Fla.; one son, Mr. George L. Burnham Jr. and wife Sheila of Live Oak, Fla., three daughters, Mrs. Marleen Tyre and husband Don of Marianna, Mrs. Colleen Smith and husband Russell of Wellborn, Fla., and Mrs. Cheryl Sellers and husband Bob of Wellborn; two sisters, Gertrude Emlet and Laura Beatty, both of Vero Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren, David Smith, Michael Smith, James Sellers, Aaron Sellers, Georgette Burnham Robinson, Jennifer Burnham and Trevor Tyre; and two great-grandchildren, Angel Sellers and Taylor Robinson. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 25, at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church in Wellborn with Rev. David Smith, Rev. Roland Rabon and Rev. Tommy Cannon officiating. Martha Davis Pollock, 74, of Chattahoochee, died Thursday, March 18, 2004, in Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Gadsden County and a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Greenwood, Fla. Survivors are: husband K.C. Robert Camron Roberts, 46, died Wednesday, June 22, 2005.
He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel A. Roberts; stepfather, Vance Jones; and sister, Sandra Jean Roberts.
Survivors include his mother, Robbie Jones of Tallahassee; son Jared Camron Roberts of Bellingham, Wash.; daughters, Amanda Jean Smith of Tallahassee and Jessica Ruthann Roberts of Bellingham; sister, Cindy Ann Wessinger of Summerfield; grandchildren, Maxie Jean Smith of Tallahassee, Robert Cameron Rowley and Savannah Truth Roberts, both of Bellingham; niece, Jennifer A. Mattie Sue Galloway, 90, of Marianna, Fla., went home to be with the Lord, Monday, June 20, 2005.
She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, the WPS Club, the local AARP and the Malone Joy Club. She loved fishing, playing dominos, going to Biloxi and playing the nickel machines. She loved cooking and sharing a meal with her friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Galloway Jr.; son Michael D. Galloway; daughter Virginia Sue Galloway; four brothers and five sisters.
Survivors include her loving and devoted son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Betty Galloway of Marianna; sisters, Lucille Harrison of Marianna and Sadie Broussard of McKinnie, Texas ; a special sister-in-law, Laura Hughes; and a host of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her extended family, Don and Belinda Thompon, Ken and Lynn Broome and Jerry and Glinda Broome. She was "Granny Sue" to six children, Whitney Basford, Dan and Deanna Wells, Shawna and Hanna Donafro and Kellan Parmer; and her many friends at Chipola Apartments.

Rhonda Lynn Crawford, 33, of Altha, Fla., died Friday, June 24, 2005, at the Bay medical Center in Panama City, Fla.
She was born in Houston, Texas and lived in Altha for the past two years, coming from Jackson County. She worked in food services at Calhoun Correctional Institution and at Apalachee Correctional Institute. She was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include her husband, Lamar Crawford of Altha; parents, Wesley and Helen Whitehurst of Wewahitchka; sons, Josh Crawford and Danny Quattlebaum, both of Altha; daughters, Megan Helms of Orlando and Hellena Whitehurst of Altha; brothers, Wesley Whitehurst and Jimmy Whitehurst, both of Wewahitchka; sister, Donna Arrant of Blountstown; grandson, Dillon Helms of Orlando; maternal grandparents, John T. Dukes and Lanell Tucker of Blountstown; and step-grandmother, Geneva Cauley of Geneva, Ala.

Cecil Oglesby Hewett, 86, of Bascom, Fla., passed away Thursday, June 23, 2005, at Chipola Nursing Pavillion.
He was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church and attended Welcome Assembly of God. He was among the first employees hired by the St. Joe Paper Company, retiring in 1975 after a 38-year career in paper making. He enjoyed working on his farm in Two Egg, gardening and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Flossie Hewett; three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his son, Roger Rumney and wife Donna of Orlando; brothers, Van C. Hewett and wife Shirley of Jacksonville, Warren C. Hewett and wife Ginny of Orangeburg, S.C., David G. Hewett and wife Anne of Albany, Ga., and Charles W. Hewett of Albany.
He is also survived by one grandson, Donald A. Rumney and wife Sharon of Orlando; and two great-grandchildren, Will Rumney and Tom Rumney of Orlando.

Thomas Godfrey Maphis, 81, of Chattahoochee, died June 25, 2005 in Jackson County, Fla.
He was a native and life long resident of Jackson and Gadsden Counties. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Woodmen of the World. He was a retired supervisor of the Mattress Factory with the Florida State Hospital in Chattahoochee. One of his hobbies was upholstery work for his friends and neighbors and he loved hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father and three brothers.
Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Liler Mae; daughter Patricia (Pat) Blount and husband Roland of Chattahoochee; sister, Ladsie Dennin of Marianna; brother Carl Maphis and wife Fanny of Grand Ridge; grandchildren, Lori Long of West Palm Beach and Charles Blount and wife Kathy of Bainbridge, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Drew, Casey and Samantha Long, all of West Palm Beach, Princess Long of Chattahoochee, Jessica, Taylor and Hannah Blount of Lovedale, and Chelsea Blount of Bainbridge; and great-great-grandchild Jordyn Riano of Chattahoochee.

Maudel B. "Mandi" Dew, 58 of Marianna, died Tuesday, June 28, 2005 in Jackson County.
Mandi was born in Cottonwood and has lived in Jackson County for more than 20 years. She has been employed at Walmart for the past seven years as the cosmetic department manager.
She was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Killingsworth; her parents Samford and Coralee Barfield; three brothers, Carlos, Marvette and Earnest Barfield.
Survivors include her husband Richard Dew of Marianna; three daughters, Vickie Gibson and her husband James of Marianna, Sherrie Ann Reed of St. Jacob, Ill., Tina Marie Foster of Staunton, Ill.; one son, Ricky Dew of Altha; two brothers, Don Livingston of Marianna, Randolph Barfield of Cottonwood; four sisters, Corene Hill of Ashford, Ann Weathers of Leesville, La., Betty Ruth Watford of Cottonwood, Hazel Thompson of Dothan; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Zelma Lillian Joyner, 91 of Marianna died Thursday, June 30, 2005 in Marianna.
She is a native of Florida.

Claude Weaver, 83, of Marianna, died Friday, July 1, 2005, at his residence.
Weaver was a resident of this area since 1983, after moving here from Maryland and was a Methodist by faith. He served our country proudly in World War II in the Army Air Corp. He influenced many Jackson County citizens with his aspiring political views. He passed down three generations of racing pigeon fanciers. He and his son flew these pigeons for over 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife Concetta Weaver in 2004.
Survivors include his son Joseph Weaver and wife Cheryl of Marianna; daughters, Bellastar Miller and husband Dan of Louisiana, Mo., Stella McDowell of Ocala, Rose Kosterman of Panama City and Judy O'Dell of Laurel, Md.; brothers, Al Weaver and wife Dottie of Leesburg, and Bill Weaver and wife Marion of Binghamton, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 5, at 2 p.m., in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens; with full military honors by the American Legion Post 241 of Sneads. The family will receive friends Tuesday, from noon to 1:30 p.m., prior to the service at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Florida Sheriff Youth Ranch.
