THELMA K. PRINCE
Mrs. Thelma K. Prince, 84, of Beacon Hill and Tallahassee, died Thursday at her Tallahassee residence. Mrs. Prince was born in Tift County, Ga., and had been a resident of Beacon Hill since 1946. She was owner and operator of "Jack's Place" at Beacon Hill for many years. She was of the Primitive Baptist faith. Mrs. Prince was predeceased by her husband, Jack Y. Prince. She is survived by three daughters and their husbands: Mrs. Patricia and Gene White of Pensacola, Mrs. Jackie and Elmo White of Crawfordville, Fla., and Mrs. Ronnie and John McDonald of Tallahassee; three sisters: Mrs. Vivian Mizell of Ocilla, Ga., Mrs. Nita Oaks and husband, Allan, of Coconut Creek, Fla., Mrs. Jerry Demouey and husband, Robert, of Beacon Hill; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Gladys Kendrix of Miami; six grandchilren: Stephanie, Greg, Patrick, and Kathryn White, Angelina and Julie McDonald. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 1 at 10 a.m. EST in Gilmore Southerland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. A. O. Boyett officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Hills Cemetery. Mrs. Prince's grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 5 to 7 p.m. EST.

VERONA STEPHENS WHITTLE
Verona Stephens Whittle, age 77, went home to her Lord on June 29, 2000. Mrs. Whittle had been ill for some time and fought a long hard battle. She was always courageous and had that certain smile for everyone she met. Her quiet Christian witness was a source of strength and inspiration to all who knew and loved her. Mrs. Whittle was a resident of Birmingham, Ala., for many years and was a member of Deerfoot Baptist Church in Trussville, Ala. She is survived by her husband, Paul S. Whittle Sr.; son and daughter-in-law, Paul S. Jr. (Stan) and Janice Summers Whittle of Panama City, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra Whittle Trawick and Jerry Donald (Bo) Trawick of Columbus, Ga.; son-in-law, Buford W. (Rocky) Carter III of Birmingham; daughter and son-in-law, Grace Whittle Whitaker and Don Whitaker of Buford, Ga., 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Cecile Leonard Scott of Columbiana, Ala., two sisters and their husbands, Virginia and Andy Wright of Forkland, Ala., Betty Jo and Fred Brown of Robertsdale, Ala., two brothers and their wives, Cecil and Ola Mae Stephens of Eutaw, Ala., J.D. and Eleanor Stephens of Tuscaloosa, Ala. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, July 1, at 11:30 a.m. in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Trussville, Ala., with Dr. Wayne Scott officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the graveside service with Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home directing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Resource Center, P.O. Box 3553, Tallahassee, FL 32315.

Funeral services for Mrs. Marilyn B. Funderburk, 47, of White City, Fla., will be conducted today, June 30, at 9:30 a.m. EDT in Sycamore Methodist Church in Gadsden County, Fla., with Pastor Lee Cordell officiating. Interment will follow in Sycamore Methodist Church Cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Tommy Pitts, Rick Lamberson, James Craig, Craig Seay, Scott Lamberson and Tommy Davidson. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Grace Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Northwest Florida, the Gideon's International or American Cancer Society in memory of Mrs. Funderburk.

ELEANOR G. FLOYD
Eleanor G. Floyd, 80, of Panama City, Fla., went to be with the Lord on June 28, 2000, at Gulf Coast Medical Center. Survivors include her husband, William F. Floyd Jr.; son, William R. and wife Marge Floyd of Panama City; daughter, Ruth E. and husband William Wylie of Kissimmee, Fla.; sister, Mary Rickert of Panama City, Fla.; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 3, in the Chapel at Southerland Funeral Home, 10 a.m. with Pastor Larry Curtis and Pastor Larry DeMoss officiating. The family will receive friends at Southerland Funeral Home on Sunday, July 2, from 2 to 4 p.m.

DORIS GWALTNEY
Ms. Doris Gwaltney, 71, of Oak Grove, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2000 at her home. A native of Wewahitchka, she was a lifelong resident of Gulf County, and was a member of Oak Grove Assembly of God. Ms. Gwaltney was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis J. Gwaltney. Survivors include her children, Olivia Giddiens of Port St. Joe, Frank and Cathy Gwaltney of Smyrna, Ga., Diane and Bill Dabney of Douglasville, Ga.; eight granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; and seven great-grandsons. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 2, at 3 p.m. EDT at Oak Grove Assembly of God, conducted by the Rev. David Fernandez. Interment will follow in the family plot at Holly Hill Cemetery. She will lie in state from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Comforter Funeral Home.

INA EILEEN DELOOF
Mrs. Ina Eileen DeLoof, 40, of 12324 Clear Creek Road, Youngstown, died Tuesday, June 27, 2000. She was a native of Florida and had been a resident of the area for 12 years. Mrs. DeLoof was Baptist by faith, enjoyed her rose bushes and singing. She also collected brass, glass and pigs. Mrs. DeLoof is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Shuff of Youngstown; a daughter, Melanie Michelle Pickett of Perry; mother, Betty Joyce Hamm of Panama City; a sister, Brenda White of Panama City; brothers, Robert Toole of Panama City and David Toole of Pensacola; a grandson, Bryan Mitchell Hand of Perry; grandmother, Ina Greever of Sarasota; a nephew and three nieces. She was preceded in death by a son, William Mitchell DeLoof. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, July 3, 2000, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Price officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, July 3, 2000, from 9 until 10 a.m., an hour prior to service time.

CATHY JEAN BALDWIN HAGGERTY
Mrs. Cathy B. Haggerty, 38, of 5195 Deep Bayou Drive, Panama City, Fla., passed away Friday June 30, 2000, at UAB Hospital, Birmingham, Ala. She was a native of High Point, N.C., residing in Panama City since 1975. She is a graduate of the nursing program at Gulf Coast Community College, and has worked as a R.N. at Gulf Coast Hospital and Bay Medical Center, hospitals for the past 18 years. For the last 11 years she has worked at Gulf Coast Hospital, mainly in the Emergency Room Departments. She is survived by her loving husband, Barry R. Haggerty of Panama City; mother, Rhonda J. Baldwin of Panama City; mother and father-in-law, Ralph and June Haggerty of Jacksonville, Ala.; aunt and uncle, Jack and Marie Britt of Highpoint, N.C.; sisters, Janet Pietterson of Colorado, Susan Wallace and husband Allen of Palmyra, In.; stepchildren, Lindsay S. Haggerty and Jordan M. Haggerty; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 3, at 4:30 p.m. in the Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Marty Martin officiating. Mrs. Hattie Mae McInval Mercer Holland, 96, of Panama City, formerly of Tifton, Ga., died Friday, June 30, 2000, in Panama City. She was born in Bibb County, Ga., was a longtime resident of Tifton and had lived in Panama City for a few years. She was a homemaker who enjoyed needlepoint, and was a member of Baptist Faith Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny D. Holland; father, John Thomas McInvale; mother, Mary Anne Cribb McInvale. She is survived by her son, Bob Mercer and wife Frances of Tifton; daughter, Martha Wright of Lynn Haven; grandchildren, Bobby and Tammy Mercer of Chula, Ga., Cheryl Walker of Nashville, Ga., Randy Mercer of Lewiston, Maine, Spencer Mercer of Auburn, Maine, Donnie and Ronnie Christian, of Hephizibah, Ga., Dara Ann Boggs of Panama City, and Timmy Mercer of Ferndale Calif.; sister-in-law, Grace Miley of Sparks, Ga.; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Chapel of Albritton Beaumont. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 3, at the Chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors, Tifterea Chapel, with the Rev. Brantley Seymour officiating. Interment will take place at Tift Memorial Gardens.

RITA VIVIAN KREBS
Mrs. Rita Vivian Krebs, 67, of 1244 Padgett Drive, Youngstown, died Thursday, June 29, 2000, at her home. She had been a resident of the area since 1970, coming here from Ohio. Mrs. Krebs was Methodist by faith and a former chairperson of the "Florida Trail Association." She was a nature lover and a talented artist. She is survived by four sons, James Miles and his wife Donna of Panama City, Gary Miles and Danny Miles and his wife Christine, all of Youngstown, and Ricky Miles and his wife Regina of Falling Waters, W.Va.; a daughter, Sarita Krebs Riner and her husband John of Panama City; stepchildren, Bobby Krebs and his wife Gloria of Loveland, Colo., Ken Krebs and his wife Marie of South Berwick, Maine, Roxanne Costello of Fort Walton Beach and Shirley Roberts and her husband Michael of Lynn Haven; grandchildren, Jerad, Jesse, Stephanie, Sarah, Laura, Nicole, Trey, Mark, Crystal, David, Heather, Benny and Megan; and a great-grandchild, Jesse. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, July 3, 2000, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Those desiring may make contributions to the Emerald Coast Hospice, P.O.
