Infant Kolby Dillan Gilmore, seven months, died Monday, July 3, 2000, in a Tampa, Fla., hospital after an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents Richard & Dorothy Hanlon and John & Margaret Dawkins; paternal grandfather Donald Gilmore; paternal great-grandparents George Skeet Jones and Dewey Gilmore; and paternal great-great-grandparents Early & Lois Whitfield. Kolby is survived by his parents Kevin & Jamie Gilmore; brother Blake Gilmore; maternal grandparents Ricky & Carol Hanlin, all of Wewahitchka and Paul Wood of Port St. Joe; paternal grandparents Ronnie & Donna Drew of Wewahitchka; maternal great-grandparent Mildred Jones also of Wewahitchka; paternal great-grandparents Gladys Gilmore of Orlando and Mike & Faye Kabaci of Panama City Beach; maternal great-grandparents Carl & Mildred Wood of Port St. Joe and paternal great-great-grandparent Alma Lee Jones of Panama City. Graveside funeral services will be conducted this morning at 10 a.m. CDT in the Roberts Cemetery in Wewahitchka with Rev. Neal Miller and Rev. Nicki Davis officiating with internment to follow.

EDWARD JOSEPH JIRU
Edward Joseph Jiru Jr. (Lt. Co. Ret.) formerly of Bay Point, passed away peacefully July 1, 2000, in San Antonio, Texas. He was a 33-year veteran of the United States Air Force and served as a pilot in World War II, Korea and Vietnam, earning 13 distinguished medals. His non-wartime assignments included Japan, Okinawa, Berlin, San Antonio, Sacramento and Norfolk. After retiring in 1974 he and his wife built their dream home in South Lake Tahoe, Calif. After four years they became full-time RV'ers traveling throughout the USA, Canada and Europe before settling in Yerington, Nev. After his beloved wife of 50 years, Norene, passed away, he moved to Panama City, where he was a member of the MGA at Bay Point. In 1998 he located to Air Force Village I in San Antonio, Texas. Ed was born in Madison, Wis., Jan 14, 1923. He is survived by two sisters, JoAnn Zinke of Fort Worth, Texas and Genevieve Buchanan of Virginia Beach, Va.; four children, Mike Jiru (Col. USAF Ret.) and wife Kay of San Antonio, Carol Hoehn and husband Barry of Panama City, Edward Jiru (SGMGT USA Ret.) and wife Susie of Livingston, Texas, and Paula Jiru and husband Rich of South Lake Tahoe; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Respecting his request for no services, he will be laid to rest beside his wife in South Lake Tahoe.

Mr. Ralph Bentley Lisenby, 59, of 15109 State 77, Southport, Fla., died Monday, July 3, 2000, at a local nursing facility. He was born in Bonifay, Fla., and lived most of his life in Bay County. Mr. Lisenby worked in the construction industry and was Assembly of God by faith. He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Marie Stottlemire of Southport; a son, Royce Ben Lisenby of Panama City; mother, Esther Kennedy of Panama City, Fla.; seven sisters, Shirley Moore and her husband Marvin of Dunnellon, Fla., Elma Dean Newsom and her husband Quincy, Jeannette McLemore, Joyce Yetter and her husband William, Martha Somnitz and her husband Buddy, and Twyla Lindsay, all of Panama City, Fl., and Shirley Holden and her husband Sammy of Texas; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a sister: Dolores Jensen. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2000, from the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darwin Glass officiating. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are Ronnie Campbell, Mickey Campbell, Gary Raffield, Yancey Myers, Mike Clayton and Bruce Clayton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, July 5, from 6 until 8 p.m.

Mr. Claude Dennis Fuller, 68, of Lynn Haven, Fla., died Monday, July 3, 2000, at his home. Born in Georgia, he moved here in 1985 from Colorado. He retired from the military and was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church. Funeral services will be conducted today, July 7, at 2 p.m. in Southerland Funeral Home Chapel.

CARLTON MICHAEL 'CB' BROWN
Carlton Michael "CB" Brown, 44, of Apartment 205, 903 Russ Lake Drive, died on Monday, July 3, in his home. He was a lifelong resident of Panama City. He attended Bay County Public School. He is survived by his son Carlos Brown of Ponce de Leon; mother, Addie Lee Brown; father, Ernest T. Brown Sr.; five sisters: Hazel Dawson (Willie James), Glendall Brown, Deitra V. Brown, and Rita Arts, all of Panama City, and Kathy Smart of Dallas, Texas; three brothers: Raymond Lee Brown (Sharron Yvonne), Randolph Brown (Deatrise) and Timothy Brown Sr. (Claudia), all of Panama City; three aunts: Charlotte Richardson of Hollywood, Marjorie Henderson and Essie Mae Johnson, both of Panama City; uncle, Johnny Brown of Panama City; a devoted cousin, Ann Jenkins; devoted friends, Tammy Tew, Dwayne Robinson and Gloria Lawrence; 11 nieces; 19 nephews; three great-nieces; three great-nephews; a host of other devoted relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Brown will be held Saturday, June 8, at 11 a.m. in the Grove's Temple First Born Church with Bishop Grant Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in the Redwood Cemetery. A wake service will be held today from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Millville Worship Center at 2100 Maine Ave., and Mr. Brown will lie in state on Saturday at Grove's Temple First Born Church from 9 a.m. to service time. The family will receive relatives and friends at 5123 Park St. in Callaway.

DAVID LEWIS EDWARDS
David Lewis Edwards, 42, of 1300 Balboa Avenue, Panama City, died Tuesday, July 4, 2000, in a local hospital. He was a heating and air conditioner contractor. He had been a resident of Panama City since 1968 and was a 1976 graduate of Bay High School. He was past president of Howard Parker Little League. He is survived by his wife, Terri Edwards; daughter, Elizabeth Lynn Edwards; son, John-Michael Edwards; mother, Ann Dauphin and her husband, Paul; father, Delano R. Edwards and his wife, Charlene; two brothers, Michael Edwards, Chip Dauphin; two sisters, Kristi Starling, Kellie Edwards; two nieces, Samantha Edwards, Hunter Starling; four nephews, Dustin Edwards, Aulden Burnes, Derek Rajala, and Davin Rajala. Funeral services will be held today, July 7, at 3 p.m. in Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Hankins officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Those desiring to may make a contribution to Central Panhandle Chapter of the American Red Cross Disaster Services in memory of David Edwards. Active pallbearers are: John Michael Pons, Thomas Putnam, Mark Works, Rob Willis, Reid Reese, and Johnny Johnson.

ROBERT THOMAS 'FLINT' MCCLELLAN JR.
Mr. Robert Thomas "Flint" McClellan Jr., age 50, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Wednesday , July 5, 2000, at a local hospital. He was a native of Shelton, Conn., where he was a member and former altar boy at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He also was a former volunteer fireman at the Echo Hook and Ladder in Shelton, Conn., and served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. Mr. McClellan moved to Panama City in 1980 and worked with the floor crew at Walmart on 23rd St. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and enjoyed being outdoors working in the yard, cooking on the grill, and playing with his dog "Yeller". Mr. McClellan is survived by his wife, Eileen McClellan of Panama City; children: Heather Flick and her husband Chris of Troy, Mich., and Bobby McClellan, Stacey McClellan, and Michelle McClellan, all of Panama City; sisters: Judy Dowd and Danette McClellan, both of Naugatuck, Conn., and Bridget Capece of Shelton, Conn.; two brothers, Regan McClellan of Shelton, Conn., and Shane McClellan of Orange, Conn.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 8, at St. John's Catholic Church with Fr. George Zieba, C.R. officiating. The family will receive friends at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home today, July 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary Service to be held at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 2012 A. A memorial service for Mr. George Bruce Myers, age 39, of 6615 Oakenshaw Dr., Youngstown, Fla., will be held Saturday, July 8, at 11 a.m. The service will be held at St. Andrew Assembly of God, 2400 W. 15th St., Panama City, with the Rev. Mrs. Rachel Wise Spicer, age 65, of 4259 County Road 661, Coffee Springs, Ala., died Tuesday, July 4, 2000, at the family residence following an extended illness. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today, July 7, at Piney Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Taylor and the Rev. Earl Wise officiating. Burial will follow in Marvin Chapel Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson, Ala., directing. Mrs. Spicer will be placed in the church one hour before time of service. She was born Feb. 26, 1935, in Geneva Co., Ala., to the late Jimmie and Nellie Nobles Wise. Mrs. Spicer was employed as a textile worker. She was preceded in death by one brother, Mr. Roy Wise, June 13, 2000. Survivors include her husband, Mr. Lelon Spice of Coffee Springs, Ala., Michelle Tinsley of Samson; three sons: Billy Wise of Samson, Stanley Spicer of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., and Kim Spicer of Chancellor, Ala.; ten grandchildren; two sisters, Beatrice Miller of Andalusia and Eunice Donaldson of Geneva, Ala.; two brothers, Victor Wise of DeFuniak Springs and Drexel Wise of Panama City.

JOSEPH B. BROWN
Joseph B. Brown, 85, of Callaway, passed away July 6, 2000, after a short stay at the Glen Cove Nursing Pavilion where he received loving care from a exceptionally caring staff. He was born and raised in Kinston, N.C. He moved here in 1978 from Lutherville, Md. He was a pioneer in the field of airborne radar guided fire control systems, having been employed as an electronics technician for the Army Air Corps at Warner-Robbins Army Air Field during World War II. He was involved with the development and employment of fire control systems in the B-29 aircraft. At the start of the "Cold War" he joined Bendix Radio Corporation as a field engineer, and was responsible for the original installation of long range search radar units at several aircraft control and warning sites across the northem tier of the United States. Some of the sites were Havre, Mont., Colville, Wash., and Neah Bay, Wash., among others. At the time of his retirement in 1978 he held the position of supervisor of estimation and cost control for the Bendix Field Engineering Corporation. During his retirement he continued to pursue his long standing passion for the game of golf, having played most of the courses in this area and making golfing trips to North Carolina and South Carolina. He was a three times a week golfer at the Fox Run Golf Course up until this past April. He was a member of Parkway Presbyterian Church and very much enjoyed his rnembership in the choir. His last participation in the choir was on Easter Sunday of this year. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Mary R. Brown. He is survived by his son, Joseph B. Brown Jr. Lt. Col. USAF retired, and his daughter-in-law, Gloria G. Brown of Callaway; his granddaughter, Margo J. Brown of Largo, Fla.; and several nephews and nieces in North Carolina and Florida. The family plans to hold a private service for the entombment and then a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to Parkway Presbyterian Church Organ Fund in honor of Mr. Brown.
