DORIS JANE POIRIER
Mrs. Doris Jane Poirier, age 71, of 836 Premier Drive, Panama City, Fla., passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2000, at a local hospital. She was a native of Bay County, a member of St. John's Catholic Church, and had been a salesperson at Cogburn's for many years. Mrs. Poirier is survived by three sons, James M. Poirier and his wife Diane of Statesville, N.C., Ernest A. Poirier and his wife Suzanne of Tallahassee, and Steven W. Poirier and his wife Haven of Clearwater; a brother, Thomas McBride and his wife Kay of Panama City; four sisters, Hazel Richter of Panama City, Frances Tuttle of Fayetville, Texas, Hilda Fillingim and her husband Bill of Hernando, Fla., and Virginia Clendenon of Panama City; six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Albert A. Poirier. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Friday, July 21 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Marty Bratek, C. R. officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, July 20 from 6 to 8 p.m.

MILDRED BEDFORD
Mildred Bedford died July 2, 2000, at her home after an extended illness. Survivors include her husband, Bill Bedford; son, Doug Sheffer; two sisters; two brothers; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Sheffer. A memorial service will be held at St. Thomas By The Sea Episcopal Church on Sunday, July 23 at 10 a.m. Memorial donation may be made to Hospice of Emerald Coast or St. Thomas By The Sea Episcopal Church.

Robert David Linden, 66, of Panama City, died Tuesday, July 18, 2000, in a local hospital Mr. Linden was a native of Wisconsin and had resided in Panama City for many years. Mr. Linden is survived by his wife, Artie M. Linden of Panama City. Mr. Linden was retired as a conductor with the Illinois Central Railroad. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

DORRIS FORBES JENKINS
Dorris Forbes Jenkins, 79, passed away July 16, 2000, in her daughter's home in Pretty Bayou. She was a native of Atlanta, Ga., and moved to Panama City in 1983. Dorris was a retired executive secretary of the Insurance Commissioner of Georgia. She was a member of Lydia Sunday School Class of Northside Baptist Church and past president of the Newcomers Club. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, William A Jenkins Jr. and is survived by her daughter, Diane J. Cofer and granddaughter, Lane Cofer both of Panama City; granddaughter, Greer Cofer of Tallahassee; grandson, Lee Cofer of Gainesville; cousin, Margie Wygand of Ladylake, Fla.; niece, Linda Reisig of Irving, Texas; nephew, Robert Summers of Jacksonville; niece Sandee Glozier of Atlanta; and uncle, Marcellus Forbes of Black Mountain, N.C. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in Northside Baptist Church, 530 Airport Road, Panama City. The family will receive friends directly after the service.

Marty Bratek, C.R. officiating. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Ray Richter, Carl Richter, Justin Poirier, Will Poirier, David Watford, and Gene Houpe. Honorary pallbearers will include Mrs. Poirer's nephews. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.

CLEVELAND GREEN
Mr. Cleveland Green, 77, of 101 Laramie Circle, died Monday, July 17, 2000, in the South Mountain Health Care Center in Chipley. He was a native and former resident of Vernon and was of the Methodist faith. He is survived by his sister, Ruthia Gipson (Sconiers) of Panama City; two brothers, Curtis Green and Jack Green both of Belle Glade, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Jossephine Green of Sarasota and Ruthia Green of Belle Glade; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Green will be held Saturday, July 22 at 1 p.m. in New Bethel A.M.E. Church in Vernon with Elder John Gipson and Minister Hezekiah Gipson, officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvania Cemetery. The remains will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time. The family will receive relatives and friends locally at 101 Larame Circle.

WILLIAM 'BUCKY' LOWERY HARBESON
William "Bucky" Lowery Harbeson, 56, of Lynn Haven died Thursday in his home. He was a loan officer for a bank. He was a lifelong resident of Bay County and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Panama City. He is survived by a brother, Lynn Harbeson and his wife Lois; two sisters, Beth Locke and her husband Ross, Ann Edmondson and her husband Paul, all of Lynn Haven; four aunts: Ruth Harbeson of Lynn Haven, Carolyn Dean of New Mexico, Margaret Hall of Montgomery, and Janet Harbeson of Panama City; one nephew, Brad Harbeson of Lynn Haven; three nieces: Christina Lancaster, Melissa Edmondson and Stacey Edmondson; two great-nephews, Andrew Lancaster and Geoffrey Lancaster, all of Lynn Haven. Memorial services will be held today at 1:30 p.m. in Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Si Mathison officiating. Those desiring to may make a donation to Hospice of Northwest Florida, 2589 Jenks Avenue, Panama City, Fla. 32405 in memory of Mr. William Harbeson.

JIMMIE MINCY
Mr. Jimmie Mincy, 72, of 1007 Cone Ave., died Wednesday, July 19, 2000, in his home. He was a native of Youngstown and Jackson County, Fla. He became a member of New Mount Olive Baptist Church in Marianna, Fla. He moved to Tampa, Fla., and worked at Tampa General Hospital for 25 years until he retired. He moved to Panama City 12 years ago. He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Island (Randy) of Lakeland; three grandsons: Bernard McGee and Jerrod McGee, both of Tampa, and Germaine Collins of Plant City; five sisters: Mattie McCathan of Caryville, Annie Bell Hill (Jessie) of Bushnell, Margaret Mincy of Cottondale, Maebell Cruise of Lakeland, and Maxine McCall of Arcadia; six brothers: Elder Hosea Mincy (Dorothy) of Lynn Haven, David Mincy (Clara), Joe Mincy (Elouise) and Porter Mincy, all of Panama City, Ike Mincy (Doris) of Wewahitchka, and Truman Mincy of Tampa; special friends, Jimmy Smith and A.C. Dud Holly; a host of loving and caring nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends. Funeral services for Mr. Mincy will be held Monday, July 24, at 2 p.m. in Henshaw A.M.E. Church in Cottondale with the Rev. Noah Parker, Pastor, officiating. Interment to follow in Bethlehem Church Cemetery in Cottondale, Fla. A wake service will be held at the church on Sunday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. The remains will lie in state at the church on Monday, one hour prior to service. YUPIN 'PENNY' WEICHT
Tupin "Penny" Weicht, of Lynn Haven, passed on to be with her heavenly father on Friday, July 21, 2000. Many knew of Penny as a hardworking hairdresser and seamstress. She was a very loving mother and friend who was full of life. She loved to go fishing, dancing, and was an extremely gifted cook. Penny was born in Thailand and had resided in the Panama City area for many years. She was a member of St. Dominics Catholic Church. She is survived by her four children, Wana Roos, Chatchai "Bill" Khammuan, Jonathan K. Wesley, Sherry Hauck; and numerous grandchildren. We are thankful for the time she shared with us during her life and she will always be in our hearts and thoughts. We will miss her bright personality and warm spirit. Memorial service in honor of Penny will be announced in tomorrow's obituary notice.

ANNETTE C. WILLIAMS
Annette C. Williams, 97, of 1904 Brown Ave., Panama City, died Friday evening, July 21, 2000, in a local hospital. She had been a resident of Panama City since 1945 having moved here from Washington, D.C., and she was also a member of the St. Andrew United Methodist Church. Mrs. Williams is survived by sisters-in-law, Martha Clegg of Decatur, Ga., and Catherine Hicks of Barth, Ala.; nieces, Janice Southerland and Debbie Morris of Decatur, Kay Turner of Birmingham, Ala., Anita Blake of Phenix City, Ala., and Jean Matthews of Hurtsboro, Ala.; nephews, Bill Harden of Hurtsboro and Ed Harden of Birmingham; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Williams will be conducted this afternoon, July 24, at 2 p.m. in the Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Britton officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The following will serve as active pallbearers: David Riley, Larry Kersey, Herman Rooks, William Lock, Bo Porter and Chip Cochran. Honorary pallbearers are Buddy Williams and St. Andrew United Methodist Women. In accordance with Mrs. Williams' wishes, there will be no formal visitation, however Mrs. Williams will lie in state today until the time of service.

LAWRENCE 'LARRY' COX
Lawrence "Larry" Cox, 46, of Panama City, died Sunday, July 23, 2000, in a local hospital after a brief illness. He was born May 30, 1954, in Warren, Ohio, but had resided in Panama City the past 18 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietname War. Larry was commander of the Amvets Post No. 47 in Panama City Beach. He owned and operated Larry's Tile and Marble Company. He was preceded in death by his father, Wade Cox. Larry is survived by his wife, Sharon Fenstermaker Cox and daughter, Stephanie Fenstermaker Cox, both of Panama City; two sons, Larry Cox and his wife, Lani of Warren, Ohio, Jason Cox of Panama City; stepson, Stephen Williams of Athens, Ohio; mother, Vallie Cox, of Niles, Ohio; brother, Dennis Cox and wife, Cindy of Panama City Beach; two sisters, Florence Creamer and husband, John of Pensacola, Rosie Brown and husband Chuck of Niles; two grandchildren, L.J. Cox, Taylor E. Cox, both of Warren; very special adopted son, Dan Comptois of Panama City; very special mother-in-law, Shirley Williams of Niles; two brothers-in-law, Rick Fenstermaker, Eddie Fenstermaker, both of Niles; sister-in-law, Debbie Solinger of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and numerous nieces and nephews. His friends were a very important part of his life, three of his closest friends were Gary Harris, Raphael Nunez and Ray Straing. Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Amvets Post No. 47, Panama City Beach. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday in the Kerr Cemetery, Niles, Ohio. Those desiring to may make a contribution to the Amvets Post No. 47 in memory of Larry Cox.
