RONALD LEON 'RONNIE' LEMASTERS, SR.
Mr. Ronald Leon "Ronnie" Lemasters, Sr., 70, of 9119 Tracy Way, Panama City, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000, at his residence. He was born in East Chicago, Ill., and has been a resident of this area since 1956. Mr. Lemasters served his country in the U.S. Navy and was Catholic by Faith. He enjoyed fishing and collected knives and even made some of his own. He was a mechanic and auto body technician and managed the auto body shop at Cook Whitehead Ford. He also worked as an insurance appraiser for Piersol Appraisers and he had most recently worked for Gary's Auto Salvage. Ronnie had a great sense of humor, but could be serious when he needed to. He was thought well of by everyone who knew him. Mr. Lemasters is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Betty Lemasters; his mother, Cora Lemasters; sons, Ronald Lemasters and his wife Debbie, and Donald Lemasters, all of Panama City; a daughter, Julie Mathis and her husband Leon, of Panama City; brothers, Carl Lemasters and his wife Joan of Evanston, Ill., Norman Lemasters and his wife Doris of Great Meadows, N.J., Raymond Lemasters and his wife Angie of Hackettstown, N.J.; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Robertson. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Sept. 4, 2000, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home with the Rev. William Brown officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Emerald Coast, 700 W. 23rd St., Panama City, Fla., 32405 or to Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church Building Fund, 5622 Julie Drive, Panama City, Fla., 32405.

VIVIAN O. LARKEY
Vivian O. Larkey, 87, died Friday, Sept. 1, 2000, at her home at 112 Candlewick Circle, Panama City. She was a native of Iola, Kan., and resided there most of her life prior to moving to Panama City. Mrs. Larkey was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Moran, Kan., and a homemaker. Mrs. Larkey was preceded in death by her husband, Robert K. Larkey and two sons, Robert and Norman Larkey. Mrs. Larkey is survived by two sons, Larry Larkey of Chanute, Kan., and Nolan Larkey of Redfeathers Lake, Colo.; three daughters, Loretta Eisenminger of Salt Lake City, Utah, Marcia Sachiea of Iola, Kan., and Mary L. and Chuck Youngdale of Panama City; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family has selected memorialization by cremation.

JOAN WOOD-OGLETREE
Funeral Services for Mrs. Joan Wood-Ogletree, 64, of Panama City, who died Friday, Sept. 1, 2000, in her home at 1407 Ridgewood Ave., will be 9 a.m., Sunday Sept. 3, 2000, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Fred Melvin and the Rev. Hayward Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are, Bruce Walker, Tom Manson, Terry Malamphy, Charles Shuller, Grady Heath, and William Walters. The family wishes to express their gratitude to personnel of the Navy Coastal Systems Station and the Bay Medical Center laboratory staff for their generosity and to all the close personal friends who have been supportive during this emotional time. ROGER DALE WRIGHT
Mr. Roger Dale Wright, 29, of Panama City, died Monday, Aug. 28, 2000, at his home. Born in Michigan, he moved here in 1993 from Fort Hood, Texas. He was employed by Coram's and was a former employee of the Breaker's on Panama City Beach. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving two tours of duty in the Persian Gulf. He also loved horses. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, at 3 p.m. in the Southerland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry DeMoss officiating.

Mr. Jeffery Lynn Bailey, 42, of Orlando, died Saturday at his home. Mr. Bailey was born in Tallahassee and was a salesman and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Betty Goolsby, of Atlanta, Ga.; fiance, Glenda White of Orlando; one brother, Michael Kevin Bailey of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Michelle Peneton of Golden, Colo.; three uncles, Leonard Whitehead of Beaumont, Texas, John Whitehead of Deer Paw, N.Y., and Amos Bailey of Youngstown; five aunts, Bonnie Phillips of Bossier City, La., Barbara Anderson of Myrtle Beach. S.C., Dianne Hall of Panama City, Sandra Burger of Hattiesburg, Miss., and Aletha Fowler of Panama City. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, at 11 a.m. CDT, in the Chapel of Adams Funeral Home with the Rev. Jason Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Memorial Cemetery in Blountstown. MARION B. HOTTENDORF
Marion B. Hottendorf died on Friday, Sept. 1, 2000, at Bay Center Eldercare in Panama City. Marion (Kelleher) Hottendorf was born in 1904 in New York City and lived in Panama City since 1970. She was predeceased by her husband, George H. Hottendorf; son, Dr. Girard H. Hottendorf; son-in-law, William T. Bevan; an infant granddaughter; and an infant grandson. Mrs. Hottendorf is survived by her daughters Gloria Bevan of Panama City and Marie Frischmann and husband John of Shell Lake, Wis.; daughter-in-law, Hilde Hottendorf of Charleston, S.C.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Marion Hottendorf will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Special thanks are expressed to Phillip Cauthen and staff of Bay Center Eldercare for their loving care. Mass will be held Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000 at 10 a.m. at St. Dominic's Catholic Church with the Rev. Peter Zalewski officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. DOROTHY HELEN PARKER
Dorothy Helen Parker, 43, of 416 S. Bonita Ave., Panama City, died Sunday Sept. 3, 2000, in a local hospital. She was the daughter of Frank M. and Dorothy Sue Jinks Parker. She was a 1974 graduate of Bay High School. She received a Bachelors of Arts degree in learning disabilities from the University of Florida in 1978, where she was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority. She was a teacher for Vangard School in Lake Wales, Florida and was formerly associated with Evergreen Landscaping. She is survived by a brother, Dr. Frank Marshall Parker and his wife Linda, of Warner Robins, Ga.; a nephew, Frank Marshall Parker III and his wife Ruth, of Miami; three uncles, C. L. "Les" Jinks and his wife Mary Catherine, and Bert Jinks and his wife Jan, all of Panama City, and Bo Parker of Columbus, Miss.; two aunts, Mrs. Maida Morrell of Pensacola, and Mrs. Odie T. Higdon of Panama City. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Doug Newton officiating. Burial will follow. Those desiring may make a contribution to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society of Bay County in memory of Helen Parker.

MARTHA CAROLINE TURNER SORENSEN
Martha Caroline Turner Sorensen, 92, of Panama City, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000 in a local nursing home. She was a tag clerk at the tax collectors office for 25 years, retiring in 1974. She had been a resident of Panama City since 1930, moving here from Dothan, Ala. She was a member of the DAR, UDC, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 102, and the First Baptist Church of Panama City. She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Sorensen, and her caregiver, Clara Hale. She is survived by her cousins, Rachel Sims and Sue Cox; and her guardian, Michael Kelsay and his wife, Penny. Graveside funeral services will be held today at 10 a.m. in the Oakland Cemetery with the Rev. Bruce Raley officiating with Eastern Star rites conducted at the service. Honorary pallbearers are Waldo Wallace, Charlie Abbott, J.T. Boyette, Richard Davis, Julian Bennett, Alex Pitts, M.G. Nelson and Bruce Collins.
