Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Morgan, 77, of Panama City, will be conducted today, Sept. 28, 2000, at 10 a.m. in the Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Point Washington Cemetery. Mrs. Morgan's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

MAUDE BREEDON POWELL
Maude Breedon Powell, 101, of Panama City, died Monday, Sept. 25, 2000, in a local nursing home. She had been a resident of Bay County since 1957, moving here from Illinois. She was a member of Bayou George Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James M. Breedon and Frank J. Powell; and four brothers. She is survived by two sons, Roy Breedon and his wife, Lula Mae, and Robert Breedon, all of Panama City; three grandchildren, Robert H. Breedon, James W. Breedon and Paula C. Schmitz; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the Forest Lawn Cemetery with Minister Dennis Dilley officiating. Those desiring to may make a contribution to the Bayou George Christian Church, 7814 County 2301, Panama City, FL 32404 in memory of Maude Powell.

BARBARA A. STAMPS
Mrs. Barbara A. Stamps, 65, of Panama City, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2000, at a local hospital. She was a native of Campobello, S.C., and had lived in the Panama City area for 34 years. Mrs. Stamps worked as an administrative assistant for Charles Faircloth at Major Development Inc., for 22 years. She attended Deerpoint Baptist Church, loved working, shopping and visiting her new grandchildren. Mrs. Stamps is survived by her husband of 42 years, Grover C. Stamps Sr., of Panama City; a son, Petey Stamps of Panama City; stepson, Craig Stamps of San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Emily S. Casteel and her husband Russell E., of Fort Lauderdale and Susan Rosch and her husband John of Atlanta, Ga.; a sister, Susan Elliott of Barboursville, Va.; and grandchildren, Carli and Curt Casteel. Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 29, 2000 at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Hodges officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers will include, employees of Bay Steel Pipe and Honeywell-Bendix Friction Materials Division. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, Sept. 28, 2000, from 6 until 8 p.m.

Funeral services for Mr. James Edmund Corry, of Quincy, Fla., will be held today, Sept. 29, at 11 a.m. EST, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Quincy, Fla. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Quincy. Family will receive friends following the service at the Corry home in Quincy.

PERRY ELLIOTT
Mr. Perry Elliott, Master Chief, U.S. Navy (Ret.), 62, of Port St. Joe, Fla., died Tuesday evening Sept. 26, 2000, in Gulf Pines Hospital. He moved here in 1948 from Bonifay, Fla., and retired from the U.S. Navy as Master Chief after 30 years of service. He was a veteran of Vietnam and was a member of the V.F.W. and Fleet Reserve. He was also Protestant by faith. His parents, Perry and Leona Elliott and a brother, Howard Elliott, precede him in death. Mr. Elliott is survived by two sons, Perry Elliott and wife Karan of Otterbein, Ind., and Steve Conard and wife Elizabeth of Bothell, Wash.; two daughters, Cynthia Ford and Catherine Conard both of Oxford, Ind.; one brother, Ralph Elliott of Woodville, Fla.; three sisters: Geraldine Redmond of Panama City, Pauline Sulivant of Mobile, Ala., and Kathryn Morris of Port St. Joe; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, Oct. 1, at 3 p.m. EST in Oak Grove Assembly of God Church with Navy Chaplin Solomon officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Hills Cemetery with military honors being accorded at graveside. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. EST.

CAROLYN CLAY HICKS
Mrs. Carolyn Clay Hicks, 53, of 214 S. Jan Dr. died Monday Sept. 25, 2000 in her home. She was a native of Escambia County, Fla. and a resident of Panama City for many years. She was employed at Panama City Nursing Center for five years. She is survived by three daughters: Fintress Payton of Century, Fla., Phaleshia Richardson (Ricardo) and Legretta Preston (Preston) both of Panama City; son, Maurice Hicks of Century; grandchildren, Shawanda Jordan, Aubrey Bell, Yatoyia Culver, Ashton Hicks, Shayla Culver, Raven Hicks, Denorre Richardson, and Kelsen Preston; aunt, Inez Payton of Century; great aunt, Josephine Legett of Panama City; special friends, Matthew Marshall, Ray Manning and Vanessa Williams; a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Hicks will be held Saturday Sept. 30, 2000 at l p.m. in Hillside Cemetery will Elder Alphonso Williams Jr. officiating. Interment to follow. The family will receive relatives and friends at 214 S. Jan. Dr. Callaway, Fla.

EVELYN MCNEAIL
Mrs. Evelyn McNeail, 85, of 1005 E. Eighth St., passed away Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000, at Bay Medical Center. Funeral services for Mrs. McNeail will be held today, Sept. 29, at 2 p.m. at St. John Baptist Church with Dr. Joseph Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church one hour before the funeral.

DOROTHY COLLAR
Dorothy Collar, 72, of Panama City Beach, died Friday, Sept. 29, 2000. Mrs. Thomas was a native of Tennessee, but had resided in Bay County for the past several years. Survivors include two daughters, Jean Simonton and Margaret Thomas, both of Laguna Beach; four grandchildren: Jill, Ashley, Elise and Scott, all of Laguna Beach. A celebration of life service will be conducted in the home of her daughter, Margaret Thomas, for the family and friends at a future date. Mrs. Collar's cremation remains will be scattered in the Gulf of Mexico, which she loved so dearly.
