DANIEL STANLEY MacCLARY
Danny MacClary (Daniel Stanley), a police officer with the Hendersonville, Tenn., Police Department, died in the line duty on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2000, the four year anniversary of his becoming a member of the H.P.D. He is survived by his wife, Debbie of Hendersonville, Tenn.; daughter, Danielle Nicole of Panama City Beach; and unborn daughter, Abigail Renea. The other surviving members of his family are his mom, Molly Summers Carver and his stepfather, George Carver of Charlotte, N.C.; one brother, Bobby MacClary Jr. (Robert Eugene) and his wife, Billie, of Salisbury, N.C.; and a sister, Robin MacClary Branham, and her husband, Joe, of Unionville, N.C. His father, Robert E. MacClary Sr. lives in Nashville, Tenn. The funeral is today, Sept. 30, at Hendersonville Church of Christ, with Pastor Keith Parker and Police Chaplin Gary Ferrell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to "The Danny MacClary Memorial Fund", c/o The Bank of Nashville, Hendersonville Branch, 100 Maple Drive, Hendersonville, Tenn. 37075. Interment will be at Woodlawn East Memorial Park, Hendersonville, Tenn. Cole and Garrett Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

TIFFANY LYNN ADAMS
Tiffany Lynn Adams, 7 months, passed away Friday at her home. She is survived by her parents, Tony Carl and Mary Lynn Adams of Fountain; her twin brother, Tony Carl Adams, Jr. of Fountain; her paternal grandparents, Glendon and Rita Adams of Parker; her maternal grandmother, Margaret Green of Cordele, Ga.; and many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, 2000, from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Callaway. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

DOROTHY COLLAR
Dorothy Collar, 72, of Panama City Beach, died Friday, Sept. 29, 2000. Mrs. Thomas was a native of Tennessee, but had resided in Bay County for the past several years. Survivors include two daughters, Jean Simonton and Margaret Thomas, both of Laguna Beach; four grandchildren: Jill, Ashley, Elise and Scott, all of Laguna Beach. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted in the home of her daughter, Margaret Thomas, for the family and friends at a future date. Mrs. Collar's cremation remains will be scattered in the Gulf of Mexico, which she loved so dearly.

PERRY WILFORD ELLIOT
Funeral services for Mr. Perry Wilford Elliot, 62, of Port St. Joe, will be conducted today, Oct. 1, 2000, at 3 p.m. EST in the Oak Grove Assembly of God Church with U.S. Naval chaplain Solomon officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Hills Cemetery with military honors being accorded at graveside.

CMDR. JOSEPH EDWARD PINNING
Retired U.S. Naval Cmdr. Joseph Edward Pinning passed away peacefully at his home in Panama City on Friday, Sept. 29, 2000. Commander Pinning was born in Baltimore, Md., on June 3, 1922. He is survived by his daughters, Andrea P. Mielke and Elizabeth Pinning of Panama City; a grandson, Joseph E. Mielke of Panama City; granddaughters: Amanda Price and her husband Jamie C. and Wendy L. Parsons and her husband Craig, all of Panama City; a great-granddaughter, Kristina E. Price of Panama City; a sister, Mildred B. Howard and her husband William G., Sr. of Cocoa Beach; a brother, James Robert Pinning of Orange Park, Calif.; and sisters-in-law, Mary P. Pinning of Gulf Breeze, Kathleen Chapman, Betty Bithell, and Linda Davies, of Cornwall, England; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean M. Pinning. Memorialization will be by cremation with his cremated remains to join his loving wife's on the Tamar River, Cornwall, England, the birthplace of his wife and where they were married on Feb. 24, 1945, at St. Nicholas and Faith.

KATHRYN STRICKLAND DANLEY
Kathryn Strickland Danley, 73, of Dalkeith, Fla., went to be with the Lord on Saturday Sept. 30, 2000 after an extended illness. Kathryn had been a resident of Wewahitchka most of her life. She was loved by everyone, she always had a helping hand. She was survived by her husband, George Danley of Wewahitchka; a son, Johnny Danley of Wewahitchka; a daughter, Barbara Teat Griggs of Frostproof, Fla.; one sister, Juanita Scheider of Needville, Texas; one brother, Hildery Strickland of Taunton, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at the graveside in Roberts Cemetery at 4 p.m. CDT today, Oct. 2, 2000, conducted by the Rev. Claude McGill. Interment will follow.

EFFIE MAE MORRIS
Effie Mae Morris, 89, of Naples, Fla., passed away Friday, Sept. 29, 2000. She moved to Naples from Panama City in 1997 to live with her daughter and son-in-law. She was born in Roanoke, Ala., and was a caregiver for most of her life. She was a member of the Gulfview United Methodist Church of Panama City Beach. Effie Mae was a lady who cared for people throughout her lifetime, giving of herself to others. She is survived by four sons, Willard Vincent Morris Jr. and wife Joyce of Cartersville, Ga., Fred and Diana of Buford, Ga., Jack and Linda of Loris, S.C., and Michael and P.J. of Panama City Beach; her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Harley Hoyt of Naples; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Bobbi Jo Still of LaGrange, Ga.; sister and brother-in-law, Jeannette and Artis Phipps of Griffin, Ga.; 19 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Effie Mae was predeceased by her husband Willard in October 1986 and her sons, Billy and Buddy. The family will hold a private memorial service.

MARLIN CROSBY SANDERS
Marlin Crosby Sanders, 83, passed from this life on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000, at his residence. He was a resident of Chipley and member of First Baptist Church since July 1980. He made his profession of faith in 1940 in Chattahoochee, Fla., and was ordained a deacon in 1951 by the First Baptist Church in Colquitt, Ga., where he grew up. He was a Sunday school teacher for more than 50 years. In 1945, he was married to Frances Palmer, who preceded him in death in 1994 after 49 years of marriage. He is survived by one daughter, Lota Kay and her husband Wayne Braxton; granddaughter Ashleigh Braxton; brother, John Sanders of Macon, Ga.; three sisters, Irene Davis of Albany, Ga., Christine Gaulden of Jakin, Ga., and Gloria Mitchell of Macon. Dr. Sanders was a professional educator, serving 26 years in the public schools of Georgia and Florida as a teacher and principal, and 19 years as a professor at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, Ga. Throughout the years, many of his students named him their Favorite or Star Teacher. He was named a Georgia Star Teacher by the State Chamber of Commerce and a Distinguished Professor by the Georgia College Foundation. In addition, Georgia State College and State University named him Professor Emeritus. During his years as an educator, he served on many teams evaluating various school systems. In 1967 he was selected as a member of a pilot team of six United States educators, who were sent to the various Caribbean Islands to evaluate their education system. He also received the Distinguished Service Award for his performance during 40 months in the infantry during World War II. Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 1, at 3 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Chipley with the Rev. Adolph Phares, the Rev. Michael Orr and the Rev. Marcus Caraway officiating. Burial followed in the Glenwood Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home Directing.

Noel D. Blue, age 72, died Sept. 28, 2000, in Orange City, Fla. He was a retired chief petty officer with the U.S. Navy after serving 24 years. Bellevue Cedar Hill Funeral Home in Daytona Beach is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial donations to Hospice of Volusia Flagler County.

Winifred Dinich, of 4425 Thomas Drive, Panama City Beach, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Oct. 2, 2000, after a brief illness. She had been a resident of Panama City Beach for 20 years, moving here from Indianapolis, Ind. He was preceded in death by her husband, Dobry "Bob" Dinich. She is survived by many friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, Ind. Those desiring to may make a contribution to Hospice of Northwest Florida in memory of Winifred Dinich.

ROBERT KERR
Robert H. Kerr, of 604 'C' Avenue West, Oskaloosa, Iowa, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000, at Mahaska County Hospital in Oskaloosa. He was born Nov. 24, 1926, at Tracy, Iowa, the son of John (Jack) and Mabel Norman Kerr. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. On Nov. 22, 1951, he was married to Julia Spaur at Chicago, Ill. He was a manager for Holland Furnace Company of Oskaloosa, and later Ottumwa, and later he and his wife owned and operated restaurants in Keokuk, Bob and Julia's Truck Stop and The Little House of Fine Foods, and they moved back to Oskaloosa in January, 1977. He was a member of the Mormon Church, the D A.V.and the V.F W. In 1995, he received the Outstanding Client Award from the Legal Services Corporation of Iowa in recognition of courage, strength of character and dedication to the personal and societal growth of low income Iowans. He is survived by his wife, Julia of Oskaloosa; seven sons and wives, Richard Kerr in South Carolina; Charles William (Penny) Black and Gary R. (Beverly) Black all of Fort Smith, Ark., Frank (Pam) Kerr, Kenneth Kerr and Stacy (Chris) Kerr, all of Panama City, Fla.; and Quincy T. (Rae Jean) Kerr of Ocala, Fla.; and three daughters, Debra (Paul) Daley of Buffalo, N.Y., Theresa Kerr and Julie Parks, all of Oskaloosa; 22 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Jim (Deborah) Kerr of Oskaloosa and a sister, Ruth Barthelman of Lincoln, Nebraska. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with Elder Jim Kerr officiating. Burial will be in Bellefountaine Cemetery at Tracy, with graveside military rites given by members of Oskaloosa American Legion and V.F.W. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the funeral chapel. A memorial fund has been established in his name.

LUCAS C. PARELL
Mr. Lucas C. Parell, age 24, of Panama City, passed away early Sunday morning, Oct. 1, 2000. Lucas was born Oct. 18, 1975, in Riverside, Calif. He moved to Panama City from California with his family in 1977. He attended Holy Nativity Episcopal Church in Panama City and went on to graduate from the University of Alabama. He was employed as a salesman with Panama City Toyota dealership. Lucas enjoyed being both on and in the water whether it was scuba diving, skiing, boating or swimming. Mr. Parell is survived by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Parell of Panama City; sister, Cara Marie Parell of Panama City; maternal grandparents, Sam and Marie Coleman of San Antonio, Texas; paternal grandmother, Elaine Parell of Mt. Clair, N.J.; and many uncles, aunts, cousins and other extended family. Funeral services for Mr. Parell will be held today at 11 a.m. in Holy Nativity Episcopal Church with Father John Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Craig Raney, Morgan Hurst, Aaron Hayes, Jeremiah Hayes, Brian Stringer and Jimmy Oenbrink. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Holy Nativity Episcopal School, 222 North Bonita Avenue, Panama City, Fla. 32401, in memory of Lucas C. Parell.
