Mrs. Constance Lucille Ramsey, age 64, of Panama City, Fla., died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000, at a local nursing facility. She has been a resident of the area since 1963, coming here from Louisiana and was Protestant by faith. Mrs. Ramsey was the office manager for the Sandpiper Beacon Motel for 25 years. She is survived by her children: J. Walter Ramsey Jr. and Douglas Wayne Ramsey and his wife Gina, all of Panama City Beach, Fla., and Steven Michael Ramsey of Panama City; six sisters; three brothers; and her grandchildren who she loved spending time with: Robert Kristoffer Ramsey, Leilani Elizabeth Ramsey, Benjamin Ryan Ramsey, J. Walter Ramsey III, and Dillon Ramsey, all of Panama City Beach and Steven Michael RamseyJr. of Panama City. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, J. Walter Ramsey Sr.; two sisters; and one brother. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 26, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Graceville, Fla. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Robert Bolton, Jerry Hiers, John Brady, Donnie Ramsey, Drexel Owens and Blake Boyles. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, Oct. 25, 2000, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services for the Rev. Robert William Tauscher Sr., 76, who died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2000, at Bay Medical Center, will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with the Rev. Gary E. Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Those desiring to may make a contribution to the Memorial Fund of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or the Grace Lutheran Church Building Fund of Bonifay, Fla., in memory of the Rev. JOHN HENRY CROPPER
Mr. John Henry Cropper, TSGT, USAF, (Ret.), age 69, of 908 Nottingham Drive, Panama City, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2000, in a local hospital. Born in Fall River, Mass., he moved here 21 years ago from Providence, R.I. Mr. Cropper served in the USAF for over 22 years and received four battle stars for the Korean Conflict. After retiring from the Air Force he worked at Tyndall AFB for 10 years in the Civil Engineering Squadron. His parents, James and Edith Cropper; and four brothers: James, Bernard, David and Frank Cropper; a grandson, Walter Cropper; son-in-law, Gary Hempel; and brother-in-law, John Mahoney preceded him in death. Mr. Cropper is survived by his wife of 28 years, Elaine Cropper of Panama City; one son, John H. Cropper Jr., and wife Mary of North Carolina; one stepson, Keith A. Di Stefano of California; three daughters: Kathleen Powe and husband Lee of Texas, Nancy Maddox and husband Randy of Kentucky and Margie Hempel of Massachusetts; one stepdaughter, Karen D. Kaneer and husband Kent of Pensacola; three sisters: Margie Gallant and husband Ray, Rita Eaton and husband Gary and Lorraine Mahoney, all of Panama City; 16 grandchildren: Ryan Monroe, Sascha Monroe, Bonnie Franklin, Will Dyer, Jon Dyer, Trish and Christina Ruschmier, Josh Cropper, Jesse Cropper, Chris Hempel, Jamie Hempel, Becky Falcon and Joshua, Jacob and Justin Kaneer; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Oct. 27, at 8:30 a.m. in Southerland Funeral Home Chapel with Father Marty Bratek, officiating. The Tyndall Air Force Base Honor Guard will accord full military honors. Graveside services will follow in Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola at 1:15 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 5 to 7 p.m. A rosary will be said at 6 p.m.

Michael "Del" Delorfano, age 51, of Panama City Beach, died Wednesday, Oct. 25, in a local nursing home. He was a native of White Plains, N.Y., and had been living in Bay County for several years. Memorialization will be by cremation.

VIOLET LANI JOHNSON
Mrs. Violet Lani Johnson, age 88, of 404 E. 2nd St., Lynn Haven, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2000, at a local nursing facility. She was a member of Lynn Haven United Methodist Church. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her sons: Hugh Paul Johnson and his wife Paula of Lorton, Va., Roger Kirk Johnson and his wife Sally of Lynn Haven, Jay Kermit Johnson and his wife Anne of Oxford, Miss., and David Carl Johnson and his wife Pamela of Colliersville, Tenn.; a brother, Earl Johnson of Aiea, Hawaii; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Kermit Isaac Johnson, who passed away June 19, 2000. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27, with Dr. Doug Pennington and Dr. Doug Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Jim Andre, Tom Gildersleeve, Neal McGee, Frank Scott, Carl Traylor and Bill Wilbur. Honorary pallbearers will include Robert Lee and Don Hardman. The family will receive friends at 410 E. 2nd St., Lynn Haven, Fla. , today, Oct. 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lynn Haven United Methodist Church Building Fund or to your favorite charity.

KATHLEEN ANN 'KAY' KOHLER
Mrs. Kathleen Ann "Kay" Kohler, age 59, of Ruston, La., died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2000, at Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla. She was a native of Baton Rouge, La., and had lived in Panama City for 22 years before moving to Ruston last year. Mrs. Kohler was a good homemaker and cook. She was also a member of the House of Prayer in Springfield. Mrs. Kohler is survived by her husband, Vince Kohler of Ruston, La.; two sons, Michael H. Kohler and his wife Julie of Redfield, Ark., and Johnny W. Carr I of Panama City; six grandchildren: Johnny W. Carr II, Vincent Paul Carr, Dana Kohler, Nikole Carr, Brandon Dalton and Joseph Carr; one great-granddaughter, Sierra Carr; great-aunt, Gwen Zapf (Leroy "Doc") of Denham Springs, La.; cousins, George Howard Cook and his wife Linda and children of Quitman, La.; and a special niece and nephew, Kathy and Donnie Buitte of Panama City. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lewis Rogers and the Rev. Pete Boyette officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, Oct. 26, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mr. Lurie Winston McKay, age 84, of 1609 Hickory Ave., Panama City, Fla., died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2000, at a local hospital. He had been a resident of the area since 1945, coming here from Dothan, Ala. Mr. McKay was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and retired from International Paper Co. He is survived by his wife, Louise McKay of Panama City, Fla.; two sons, Frank McKay Sr. of Southport and Henry McKay of Panama City; a sister, Florence Adams of Dothan, Ala.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with Mr. Richard Post officiating. Interment will follow. RUBY LEE MESSICK
Ruby Lee "Betty" Messick, 75, of Lynn Haven, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2000, in a local hospital. Born in Westville, Fla., she moved to Bay County in 1953. Ms. Messick was employed by Taco Villa and was Baptist by faith. She was also a former member of the Panther's Motorcycle Club. Ms. Messick is preceded in death by her husband, J.D. "Jake" Messick. She is survived by her daughter, Alice "Jeanie" Griffiths of Lynn Haven; three granddaughters: Michelle Messick Berger, Christina Ledsome and Shelia Marshall; one grandson; and 12 great-grandchildren: Tiffany and James Messick, Amy and Amber Berger, Jessica, Katrina, Brianna and Tyler Griffiths, Willie Simmons Jr., Amy, Dillon and Richard Bristow. Funeral services for Ms. Messick will be conducted this afternoon, Oct. 26, at 4 p.m. in Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Larry Wade officiating. Interment will follow in Lynn Haven Cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as active pallbearers: Carl Hand, Mike Priest, Doug Ledsome, Johnny Sullivan, George Hand and Gary Mallory. Honorary pallbearers are: Dr. James E. Corry, Dr. Azzam Adhal and Mr. Harold Hayes.

LORETHA ANN MOUNT
Ms. Loretha Ann Mount, age 37, of Panama City, Fla., and formerly of Malone, Fla., passed Wednesday, Oct. 18, at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Panama City. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 28, at 11 a.m. at Snow Hill AME Church in Malone, Fla., with the Rev. J. Samuel Johnson and the Rev. James Garrett officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville in charge of the arrangements. The remains will lie in state at the church one hour prior the the services. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Kittie and Leroy Lambert of Panama City; her father, Arthur Thomas Jr. of Bascom; two children, Lawrence G. Smith and Ricardo Q. Garrett, both of Panama City; one sister, Sheila Thomas of Malone; four brothers: Arthur E. Thomas of Pensacola, Steven Thomas of Fort Dix, N.J., Archie Thomas of Gordon, Ala., and Justin Thomas of Bascom; her maternal grandmother, Pinell Thomas of Bascom and one grandchild.
