MADGE MYERS HENDRICKSON
Madge Myers Hendrickson, 90, of 3606 Biltmore Drive, Panama City Beach, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, in a local hospital. She was a retired medical secretary and was the former owner of Magic Models on Panama City Beach. She had been a resident of Panama City Beach since 1968 moving here from Missouri. She was the former president of Panama City Civic Club, and was a member of the Bay Art Association, Gulf Coast Garden Club, and the Messiah Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Harry Hopkins Jr. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Pat Daffner and her husband, Albert of Panama City Beach; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Minnie Hutsell, Ada Fugate, both of Missouri. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Those desiring to may make a contribution to Messiah Lutheran Church Bell Choir in memory of Madge Hendrickson.

FRANCIS HENRY LaGRANGE SR.
Mr. Francis Henry LaGrange Sr., of Tallahassee, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000, at his home. A native of Blountstown, Mr. LaGrange was a member of Celebration Baptist Church of Tallahassee, a member of Gideons International West Camp of Tallahassee, an associate minister with Billy Graham Ministry of Minnesota, and a veteran of World War II and the Korean War while serving in the U.S. Navy. Survivors include his wife, Ruth E. LaGrange of Tallahassee; and two sons, Francis H. LaGrange Jr. of Lake Worth and Clark E. La Grange of Cordova, Tenn. There will be a memorial service Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000, at 1 p.m. at Celebration Baptist Church in Tallahassee. Funeral services will be held graveside at 2 p.m. in Holly Hill Cemetery in Port St. Joe today, Nov. 10, with the Rev. John Adkins officiating. He will lie in state today at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until time for the services. Interment will follow. Those that wish may make a contribution to the Gideons International.

JUDY ANN MORRIS
Judy Ann Morris, age 48, of 700 Transmitter Road, Springfield, Fla., passed away Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000, at a local hospital. She had been a lifetime resident of the area, a homemaker, and was Baptist by faith. Mrs. Morris is survived by her husband, Bill "Old Man" Morris of Springfield, Fla.; daughters, Demetra Morris and Francescia Douglas, both of Panama City; sons, Steve Kwiatkoski and Bill Kwiatkoski, both of Panama City; her mother, Gladys Kyser of Panama City; a brother, Dexter Kyser of Fountain; and two grandchildren, Kayla Douglas and Brian Conley. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, at Southport Memorial Gardens. Interment will follow.

NANCY MARIA PARKER
Nancy Maria Parker, age 65, of Fountain, Fla., died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000. Funeral services will be held today, Nov. 10, at 2 p.m., at Nancy Creek. All who knew her will dearly miss her.

Georgette Renee Porter, 24, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, in a local hospital after an illness. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, in Central United Methodist Church. Burial followed in Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home. She was born in Panama City, Fla., a daughter of Ralph R. Porter Jr. and Marlene Roberts Porter. She was educated in Florence public schools. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church and the Sunshine Sunday School class. She attended the Florence Sheltered Work Shop. In addition to her parents of Florence, she is survived by a twin sister, Samantha Porter (Seth) Somerville of Richmond, Va.; her grandfather, Edwin Roberts of McMinnville, Ore.; four aunts: Ella Rose (Derryl) Whittmore of Panama City, Charlene Roberts of Tigard, Ore., Barbara Driscoll of Palo Alto, Calif., and Annetta Lehman of Newberg, Ore.; and an uncle, Michael Roberts of Dayton, Ore. The family received friends on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Florence County Disabilities and Special Needs Board, 1209 National Cemetery Rd., Florence, S.C. 29501; or to Central United Methodist Church 225 W. Cheves St., Florence, S.C. 29501.

SANDRA JOAN LANGFORD REEVES
Sandra Joan Langford Reeves, age 60, of Westville, Fla., died Nov. 8, 2000. Mrs. Reeves was born in Westville, Fla., on Dec. 1, 1939, to Ruth and Leroy Langford. She was a graduate of Holmes County High School, class of 1957, a graduate of Chipola Junior College and attended Florida State University. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Park Hill, Mo. Funeral services will be held today, Nov. 10, at 2 p.m. in the Peel Funeral Home Chapel in Bonifay with the Rev. Gary Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Campground Church Cemetery. Visitation was held Thursday, Nov. 9, at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Langford. She is survived by her mother and step-father, W.L. and Ruth Russell Comander of Westville; daughters, Candace and husband Danny Petty of Bonne Terre, Mo., and Kimberly Blanton of Park Hills, Mo.; brother, Kenneth and wife Nancy Langford of Ponce de Leon, Fla.; grandsons, Andrew Blanton, Steven Petty; granddaughter, Caroline Ruth Ann, who is due to be born on her birthday, Dec. 1, 2000; nephew, Luke Langford; nieces, Lynn Zucker, Leslie Langford; aunt, Clara Russell; and several cousins. Pallbearers will include: Buddy Curry, Luke Langford, Kenneth Yates, Raymon Thomas, Jack Leawins, and Jim Locke. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be given to Cancer Fund or Hospice.

VIRGIE LEE HOLMES ROGERS
Mrs. Virgie Lee Holmes Rogers, 87, of 1508 East 9th Court, passed away Monday, Oct. 31, 2000, at her residence. Born in Youngstown, Fla., she had been a resident of Panama City for more than 60 years. She attended the public schools of Bay County, and she was a member of St. John Baptist Church where for many years she served in the Sunday School department and the missionary society. Several years ago she was honored by the church for her longevity in dedicated service by being tapped for membership in the Golden Age Membership Club. In her community, she was a member of the Ladies Aide Missionary Society, Dollie Douglas Lodge No. 185, and the Christian Band of Benevolence. Mrs. Rogers is survived by her husband of sixty-four years, Joseph Rogers; two daughters, Clematea Rogers Gary and JoAnn Rogers of Panama City; five sons: Columbus "Bo" Rogers of Panama City, Willie (Dorothy) Rogers and Robert Rogers of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Joseph Rogers Jr. of New Orleans, and Arthur Leon (Sheila) Rogers of New Jersey; also, she raised three of her niece's children: Tony Andrews, Walter (Gloria) Andrews of New Jersey, and Billy (Miriam) Andrews of Germany; nineteen grandchildren: Linda Rogers, Gerald (Evelyn) Rogers, Virgie Dena (Johnny) Carroll, Murray Middleton, Vincent Rogers, Fabion Gary, Edward Rogers, Daryl (Patricia) Rogers, Elmer (Angela) French, Willie Charles Rogers, Tiffany Rogers, Kim Smith, Shakira Rogers, Lanisha Rogers, Artrica Rogers, Tamara Alford, Anthony Andrews, Alicia Andrews, Felicia Andrews, and Latasha Andrews; twelve great-grandchildren; seventeen nieces: Mary Elizabeth Lugman, Lessie Anderson, Mary King, Dorothy Sheffield, Ora Jordan, Dora Wilkerson, Janie Smith, Sara Holmes, Josephine Holmes, Ritha Mae Gooseby, Catherine Williams, Delorise Andrews, Jean Andrew, Millie Cartwright, Laura Williams, Margaret Green, and Rosie Owens; three nephews: Lucius Holmes, Willie Holmes, and Charlie Green; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Rogers will be held Saturday, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m., at St. John Baptist Church with the Rev. Woodrow Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Public visitation will be this afternoon from 1 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour before the funeral.

Funeral services Mr. Cecil W. Adamson Sr., age 79 of Panama City, Fla., who passed away Thursday, Nov. 9, at his home, will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 11, at First Baptist Church of Panama City Beach with Dr. Jerry Weaver officiating. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 12, at Warrior Cemetery in Warrior, Ala., with the Rev. Jack Collins officiating. Interment will follow with Masonic rites. EVA K. BIERCE
Mrs. Eva K. Bierce, 80, of Panama City, passed away Friday, Nov. 10, 2000, at Bay Medical Center. She was a native of Mars Hill, Maine, and had lived in Panama City for 20 years moving her from Amenia, N.Y. She was retired after 30 years service as a housekeeper for the State of New York, and was a member of The Rock Church. Eva was loved and respected by every one she met. Mrs. Bierce was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, David Bierce; and a daughter, Denise Bierce. Mrs. Bierce is survived by three daughters, Ilean Ross of Panama City, Bonnie Wenck and husband Roger of Jacksonville and Marie Carpentier of Stanfordville, N.Y.; two adopted daughters, Sandy Hathaway and Autumn Murner; three brothers, Ronald, Norris and Wallace Boyd all of Mars Hill, Maine; three sisters, Lillian Burke of Canada, Olga Beattie and Ilean Burtchell, both of Mars Hill, Maine; 10 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, 2000, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Apostle F. Nolan Ball and Pastor Todd Murner officiating. Interment will follow at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000. MARY LUCILLE BODDYE
Mrs. Mary Lucille Boddye, 92, of 2541 E. 6th St., Panama City, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, at a local nursing facility. She had been a resident of the area since 1933. Mrs. Boddye was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a former Sunday school teacher. She is survived by a daughter, Ila Modawell and her husband John of Panama City; a son, James Eugene Boddye and his wife Shirley of Howards Creek; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., today, Nov. 11, 2000, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Hankins officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are the Deacons of Calvary Baptist Church.

BERTHA L. HOPKINS
Mrs. Bertha L. Hopkins, 84, of Lynn Haven, passed away early Friday morning, Nov. 10, 2000, at her home. Born in Chickamauga, Ga., she moved here in 1995 from Chattanooga, Tenn. She was employed at Combustion Federal Credit Union for 15 years and then began managing small credit unions until she retired in 1985. Mrs. Hopkins was previously a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she served as circle leader for a number of years in the Women's Circle. She also served as treasurer for two years, was an active member in the Senior Wonderful Life Group where she served as hospitality member of a number of years. After moving to Lynn Haven, she became a member of First Baptist Church of Panama City where she was a member of the Joyful Servants Class, was a group leader, a devotional chairman and was also a teacher for a short time. Her husband, David L. Hopkins Sr., who passed away in August of this year, precedes Mrs. Hopkins in death. She is survived by one daughter, Sally Ann Barger and husband Al, of Lynn Haven; two sons, Jimmie Baxter Hopkins and wife Karen Sue of Denver, Colo., and David Lee Hopkins Jr. and wife Barbara of Chattanooga, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, David Barger and Susan Barger Southerland, both of Lynn Haven, Bradley Hopkins and Kimberly Hopkins Collier, both of Denver, Colo., Nancy Hopkins Hatcher of Pensacola, Mark Hopkins and Tracy Hopkins Tindall, both of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and 14 great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Jennifer Dickerson of Pensacola, Samantha, Stephanie, Allison and Abigail Southerland, Blake and Garrett Barger, all of Lynn Haven, Joshua and Justine Hopkins and Katelyn Collier of Denver, Colo., Grace and Ruth Hopkins and Sidney Tindall, all of Chattanooga, Tenn. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, at 11 a.m. in the Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Raley officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 3 until 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethel Bible Village in Hixson, Tenn., in memory of Mrs. Hopkins.
