Mr. Freddie A. Tate, age 51, of Bayou George, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, at a local hospital. He was a native and lifelong resident of Bay County and was a greenskeeper at Naturewalk Golf Club. He attended Springfield Community Church and enjoyed fishing, golfing, birdwatching and gardening. Freddie loved all kinds of music, playing his guitar and was a huge fan of the Beatles and Merle Haggard. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Norma Thompspon Tate of Bayou George; two sons, Fred A. Tate and his wife Stephanie of Fountain and Curtis W. Keith and his wife Patricia of Springfield; one daughter, Kathy E. Broadway and her husband Mark of Southport; five brothers, Donald Dean of Panama City, John H. Tate and his wife Sis of South Carolina, Leonard Tate and his wife Pat of Duluth, Ga., Frank Tate and his wife Connie of Springfield and Larry Tate and his wife Alice of Callaway; four sisters, Vivian Carroway of Fountain, Mary Lou Steiner and her husband Rudy and Ramona Finnegan and her husband Joe, all of Panama City, and Janice Lightner and her husband Guy of Youngstown; six grandchildren, Freddie Alexander Tate, Becky Lee Jean Tate, Robert Wesley Tate, James Stephen Anthony Tate, Timothy Wayne Keith and Emily Ser'e Broadway; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 9, at Springfield Community Church with the Rev. J. W. Hunt and the Rev. Jack Hankins officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are Lee Wages, Danny Landingham, David Smitherman, Darrell Fulghum, Donald Lee Houtz and Earl Boles. Honorary pallbearers will include David Locke, Jack Cunningham, Jim Pugh, Edward Strickland and Randy Sims. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, Dec. 8, from 6 to 8 p.m.

GLADYS OMEGA 'OMEYA' BELLAMY
Gladys Omega "Omeya" Bellamy, 50, of 808 E. 8th St., died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, in Bay Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Panama City. She attended the public schools of Bay County and Cocoa Beach, Fla. At an early age she met Christ and she joined Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the Rev. Frank Jones. She served in choir No. 1 until her health failed. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Bellamy of Panama City; sisters, Irene (Horace Sr.) Thurman of Victorville, Calif., and Reva (Paul) Smith of Panama City; brother, Charlie Jr. (Ann) Cady of Fayetteville, N.C.; aunt, Jeraldine Cruise of Panama City; nieces: Sharron Brown, Bertha Guton, Paulette Montgomery, and Angela Cady; nephews, Jewette Strong and Horace Thurman Jr.; devoted cousins: Callie B. Smith, Theodore Cotton and Jessie Jefferson; devoted friends: Maggie Griffin, Emma Scott, Carolyn Houston, David and Helen Russo; six great nieces; six great nephews, and two great-great nieces and nephews and a host of other devoted relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Bellamy will be held Saturday, Dec. 9, at 11 a.m. in Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with Bishop Lonnie Mitchell officiating. Public visitation will be this afternoon at the funeral home from 1 to 8 p.m. The remains will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church.

CHRISTIRA LEE (SIS) BLOCKER
Christira Lee (Sis) Blocker, 80, of 125 Santee Dr., was born to the late John W. and Mamie Broxton on Dec. 24, 1919, in Caryville, Fla. God saw fit to pluck this beautiful flower from his garden on Dec. 5, 2000. She was an active member of 2nd Mount Moriah Baptist Church where she was president of Usher Board No. 1. She leaves to cherish her memories a very loving and devoted niece, Loretta (Eugene) Jackson of Panama City; two brothers, Moses (Rose) Broxton of Panama City and John (Louise) Broxton of Avon Park, Fla.; seven sisters: Charlotte Durden, Vick (Tommy) Nettles, Annie Bell Finklea, Jersey Andrews, Janie Broxton all of Caryville, Fla., Gloria (Emmanuel) Palamore of Panama City, Vera Baker of Detroit, Mich., and Hattie (Carl T.) Hogan of Freeport, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Dorthy Hudson of Damacus, Ga.; a devoted friend, Willie Mae Fryer of Panama City; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, at 11 a.m. at Love Center Church with the Rev. Rufus L. Wood and the Rev. Raymond Roger officiating. Interment will follow at St. Matthew Cemetery, Caryville. Visitation will be today at the 2nd Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 3808 E. 1st Court from 5 to 7 p.m.

EARL GLENN GROSS SR.
Mr. Earl Glenn Gross Sr., age 78, of 2300 N. Sherman Ave., Panama City, Fla., died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, at his home. He had been a resident of the area since 1994, coming here from Rochester, Pa. Mr. Gross was a member of the Joe Moody Club and was Presbyterian by faith. He played the mouth organ and guitar and enjoyed singing. Mr. Gross is survived by his sons, Earl G. Gross Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Panama City and Terry Gross and his wife Linda of Fort Myers, Fla.; his former wife, Margaret Turner of Fort Myers, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today, Dec. 8, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Floyd Wright officiating . Interment will follow at Garden of Memories.

MARY LOUISE OLIVER
Mary Louise Oliver, 76, of Panama City, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000, in a local nursing home. She had been a resident of Panama City since early childhood and was a graduate of Bay High School. Mrs. Oliver was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edward Oliver Sr.; and a brother, John Slay Warren Jr. She is survived by two sons, Joseph E. Oliver Jr. and his wife Judy W., John Alan Oliver and his wife Diana, all of Lynn Haven; four grandchildren, Christopher Oliver, Alex Oliver, Cara Oliver, Laura Oliver; and a sister, Christine Hodges and her husband, C.B. of Panama City. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dick Cornell officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m.

HILDA MAE POE
Ms. Hilda Mae Poe, age 81, of 448 Satellite Circle, Fortson, Ga., died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2000, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, Ga. She had lived in the Panama City area from 1951 until 1990, moving to Mobile, Ala. Ms. Poe was an artist and was a member of Hiland Park Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Noonan and her husband Patrick "Pat" of Columbus, Ga.; sisters, Jackie Smith and her husband Allen of Panama City and Louise Kelly and her husband Jack of Lake Worth, Fla.; four grandchildren: Teresa Davidson and her husband Rick of Virginia Beach, Va., Steven Gay and his wife Yvette of Panama City, William Gay III of Panama City Beach, and Ashley Alison Cerovsky and her husband Roger of Keller, Texas; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 11, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Richard Owens, Andrew Brewer, Allen Smith, William Gay III, Steven Gay, and Eric Davidson. OSCAR TOUSIGNANT
Mr. Oscar Tousignant, 53, of Youngstown passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2000, at his home. He was born in Kankakee, Ill., grew up in the Tampa area, and spent most of his adult life in Bay, Gulf and Franklin counties. He was employed with Lewis Metals. Mr. Tousignant is survived by his mother, Jeannette Tousignant of Port St. Joe; two children, Preston and Michelle Tousignant of Youngstown; his brothers and sisters, Margaret Ray, Jean Tousignant, and Pat Tousignant, all of Port St. Joe, Florence Walker of Panama City, Loren Tousignant of Braidwood, Ill., Jerry Tousignant, George Tousignant, and Donald Tousignant, all of Kankakee, Ill., and Josephine Tousignant of Tucson, Ariz.; and one nephew, Russell Tousignant of Bay County. Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 9, at 11 a.m. EST at St. James Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Jerry Huft officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be today, Dec. 8, from 7 to 8 p.m. EST at the funeral home.

A.J. 'JUNE' TRAWICK
Mr. A.J. "June" Trawick, age 87, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2000, at a local nursing facility. He was a native of Geneva Co., Ala., and had lived in Panama City since 1943. Mr. Trawick was a retired crane operator for International Paper Co. at the Panama City mill. He was a member of the International Paper Co. Retiree's Organization and a long time member of Callaway United Methodist Church, holding several offices. Mr. Trawick was a charter member of the Callaway Men's Club. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Trawick of Panama City; children: Joseph Trawick and his wife Lydia, Linda Kendrick, and Jimmy Trawick and his wife Linda, all of Panama City; grandchildren: Mark Trawick, Cameron Trawick and his wife Sharon, and Dana Roberson, all of Panama City, Stacy Ward and her husband Michael of Columbus, Ga., Becky Padilla and her husband Gerry of Virginia, and Mickie Burden and her husband Steve of Atlanta, Ga.; great-grandchildren: Christopher and Kayla Trawick, Remy Roberson, Lindsey Ward, Jackie and Brett Burden, and Blake and Sydney Padilla; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Tullis and Virginia Trawick; brothers, Homer Trawick and his wife May and Burl Trawick and his wife Callie; and sisters, Dora Beasley and Ester Whitehurst and her husband Oblee. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow at Red Hill Cemetery. B.K. ANDERSON
The funeral for B.K. Anderson, 68, Petal, Miss., will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Moore Funeral Home. He died Dec. 6, 2000, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Miss., after a brief illness. Interment will be in Sunrise Cemetery in Petal. Survivors include his wife, Norma R. Anderson of Petal; daughters, Kristina Anderson of Petal and Angela Anderson-Norris of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a son, Kade Paul Anderson of Lagos, Nigeria; sisters, Bernice Pratt and Margaret Dunn, both of Panama City, Fla.; five grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mr. Abraham B. Boone, 68, of 3704 East 2nd St., died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, in Bay Medical Center. Abraham Boone was born on Oct. 14, 1935 in Jackson County, Fla. to Curley William Boone and Raymond Boone. He moved to Panama City at an early age. He attended Shaw Elementary and was a graduate of Rosenwald High School when he was 16 years old. He graduated from Rosenwald Jr. College and attended FAMU. He met and united in marriage with Eva. M. Robinson. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Boone worked for the Naval Coastal Center and retired after 30 years of service. He leaves to cherish fond memories: a beloved and devoted wife, Evan M. Boone of Panama City; a son, Lorenza Boone of Panama City; a daughter, Sharon Boone of Panama City; a brother, Melvin Boone of West Germany ; one brother-in-law, Alexander Robinson of St. Petersburg; two sisters-in-law, Cama Lee Ridley of St. Petersburg, Minnie Lee Boone of Richmond, Calif., several grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Boone will be held Sunday, Dec. 10 at 1 p.m. in Battle Memorial Funeral Home Chapelw ith Elder Darryl McGhee, officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Neck Cemetery in Jackson County, Fla. Public visitation will begin this afternoon at the funeral home from 1 to 8 p.m.
