ROBERT E. DILLON
Mr. Robert E. Dillon, 69, of 1916 Arthur Ave., Panama City, Fla., passed away Dec. 25, 2000, at his home after a lengthy illness. Mr. Dillon was a native of Wichita, Kan. and lived in Panama City since 1950. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was self-employed as an air conditioning/heating contractor. He worked for Vitro in Cape San Blas and then was an instructor at Haney Vo-Tech until his retirement from the Bay County School Board. Mr. Dillon was preceded in death by his parents, Jewell and Artie Dillon; three sisters: Patsy Kegley, Betty Edwards and Billie Jo Lang. Mr. Dillon is survived by his wife of seven years, Karen Dillon of Panama City; a son, Robert Eugene Dillon Jr. of Albion, R.I.; five daughters: Linda Dillon of Jacksonville, Rosanna Carbo and husband Robert of LaPlace, La., Kathryn Pajak and husband Robert of Panama City, Barbara Carwile and husband Ted of Crofton, Md., and Rebecca Rosser and husband Tim of Panama City; two step-sons, Matt and Mark Whittaker both of Panama City; ten grandchildren: Chad Dillon, Shanna and Daniel Carbo, Krystal and Courtney Jones, Craig and Kristen Pajak, Jessica and Melissa Carwile, and Jennifer Rosser; two sisters, Margie Logan of Marianna and Judy Miers of Las Vegas , Nev. Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 28 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Father Andrew Lewandowski officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Gene Dillon, Chad Dillon, Robert Carbo, Daniel Carbo, Robert Pajak, and Craig Pajak.

JACK B. HILL
Jack B. Hill, 61, of Panama City, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000, at his home. He was a native of Tampa, Fla. and has been living in Panama City since 1977. Mr. Hill was a retired Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, where he served as an aircraft mechanic. Prior to retirement, he was a courier for Bay Medical Center. He was a Mason and belonged to Hillsborough Lodge No. 25. Mr. Hill is survived by a daughter, Tracey L. Hill of Clearwater, Fla.; two brothers, John Hill of St. Joe Beach and Robert W. Hill of Dothan; and a sister, Dorothy Parrish of Keystone Heights, Fla. The family has requested memorialization by cremation. The family requests memorial contributions be made to American Diabetes Association in honor of Mr. Jack B. Hill.

CEDRIC LAMAR FLOYD
Cedric L. Floyd, 43, of 1407 Arkansas Ave., died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000, in Bay Center Nursing Facility. Mr. Cedric L. Floyd was born Aug. 30, 1957 to Mr. and Mrs. James and Dorothy Floyd in Washington County, Fla. He was an inspiring friend to all who knew him. He is survived by father, Mr. James Floyd; mother, Miss Dorothy Brundidge. One brother preceded him in death, Mr. Jesse Works. Seven other brothers, Mr. Edward Earl Floyd of Yazoo, Miss. and wife Vicky, Mr. Jimmy Floyd of Panama City, Mr. Randy Floyd of Panama City, Mr. Thaddeus Broxton of Caryville, Mr. Ervin Broxton of Lynn Haven, Mr. Lester Works of Caryville and Mr. Stanley Works of Caryville; five sisters, Mrs. Shirley Pittman (Charles) of Graceville, Alfreda Floyd of Dublin, Ga., Cynthia Floyd of Lynn Haven, Jean Floyd of Parker and Lisa Coleman (Gary) of Caryville; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends. Special thanks to Miss Sherry Mack of Lynn Haven and Mr. Alvin Chestnut of Lynn Haven. Also thanks to Emerald Coast Hospice at our time of need. Funeral services for Mr. Floyd will be held Friday, Dec. 29 at 1 p.m. in Battle Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rufus Woods, officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Public visitation will begin this afternoon at the funeral home from 1 to 8 p.m.

THELMA MILDRED 'MILLIE' LINSENMEYER
Thelma Mildred (Millie) Linsenmeyer, 76, of Panama City, died Dec. 25, 2000. She was residing in Lisenby Retirement Home. She was a member of St. Patrick's Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William (Bill) E. Linsenmeyer and her brother, Robert H. Yeatman of Philadelphia, Penn. She is survived by a sister, Betty Gentry, wife of recently deceased David Gentry of Milton, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Peggy Yeatman of Wyomissing, Penn.; a son, Edward C. Linsenmeyer, and wife Trudy of Panama City; former daughter-in-law, Jean S. Linsenmeyer of Gainesville; a daughter, Charlotte Lou Stemen and husband Richard of Galt, Calif.; five grandchildren: Lauren Stewart Linsenmeyer and Kristen Elizabeth Linsenmeyer, both of Panama City, Bill Stemen and wife Debbie of Fairfield, Calif., Bobby Stemen and wife Tammi of Vallejo, Calif., and Brian Stemen and wife Carolyn of Valley Springs, Calif.; four great-grandchildren: Jamie, Jake, Jordan and William Stemen. Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 29, at 2 p.m. at St. Patrick's Episcopal Church with Julia Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. For those who desire, in lieu of flowers may make a donation to the St. Patrick's Episcopal Church Building Fund in memory of Thelma Mildred (Millie) Linsenmeyer.

DOROTHY E. MORRISON
Mrs. Dorothy E. Morrison, age 68, of 8347 James St., Panama City, Fla., passed away Monday, Dec. 25, 2000, in a local hospital. Mrs. Morrison had been a resident of Bay County since 1972 coming from overseas with her husband who was in the Air Force. She was a member of St. Dominic's Catholic Church, was a faithful bridge player at the officers club of Tyndall Air Force Base. Mrs. Morrison is survived by two daughters, Debbie Martel and her husband John of Niceville, Fla., and Lisa Morrison of Springfield; a son, Russell Morrison and his wife Teresa of Bear Creek; eight grandchildren, Michelle Hongyee, Kristi Couture, Dominique Martel, Charles Martel, Jacqueline Martel, Brian Morrison, April Parrish, and Mary Leigh Morrison; two great-grandchildren, Brian Tyler Morrison and Jacob Ryan Hongyee; three brothers, Bill Bowers of Virginia, Bob Bowers of Albany, Ga., and Cecil Bowers of Moultrie, Ga. Mrs. Morrison was preceded in death by her husband, William Guy Morrison and a son, William Guy Morrison. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 28 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Father Peter Zalewski officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: John Martel, Billy Bowers, Bob Bowers, Cecil Bowers, Charles Martel, and Jim Dove. The family will receive friends at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel from 10 to 11 a.m. today, Dec. 28. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Cancer Society.

GERALDINE 'GERI' ROSEANN PANKHURST
Mrs. Geraldine "Geri" Roseann Pankhurst, age 60, of 1135 Plantation Dr., died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, at her home. She has been a resident of Bay County for 20 years. Prior to moving to Bay County, Mrs. Pankhurst lived in not less than nineteen places as wife of Major John E. Pankhurst, USAF, Retired. Mrs. Pankhurst was a speech pathologist at Callaway Elementary School. She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church, a Sunday School teacher and wedding coordinator. Geri is survived by her husband, John E. Pankhurst of Callaway; daughter, Mrs. Julie L. Canzoneri and husband Mike of Panama City Beach; son, Mr. J. Kevin Pankhurst of Callaway; step-mother, Margret Clark of Lansing, Mich.; two step-sisters, Sandie Idema and Linda Amell; and three loving grandchildren, Adrienne R. Canzoneri, Jamie M. Canzoneri, and Cecelia A. Canzoneri. Memorial services for Mrs. Pankhurst will be held 9:30 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 31, 2000 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church and her ashes will be interred in the church garden. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to St. Andrews Episcopal Church Building Fund or the Geri Pankhurst Fund for Speech, Language, or Hearing Impaired Children.

Mrs. Judith G. Rhodes, 94, a resident of Venture Out on Panama City Beach, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, in a local hospital. Born in New Orleans, La., she moved here in 1975 from New Orleans. She was a homemaker and Catholic by faith. Her husband, Lowell Rhodes precedes her in death. Mrs. Rhodes is survived by one nephew, Walter Clark of Arabi, La. and two nieces, Mrs. Archie Quinn Cooley of Metairie, La. and Joycelyn Quinn Thomas of Connecticut. Memorialization will be by cremation.

Terrell Rushing, 59, of Atlanta, Texas died Dec. 26, 2000. Funeral services will be held Dec. 28, at 10 a.m., Laws Chapel Cemetery in Cass County, Texas. Hanner Funeral Service of Atlanta, Texas is in charge of the arrangements.

DONALD PERCY SIMMONS SR.
Mr. Donald Percy Simmons Sr., of 2923 Kirkwell Ave., Panama City, died Monday, Dec. 25, 2000, in North Carolina. Born in Point Washington, Fla., he was a lifelong resident of Bay and Walton counties. Mr. Simmons was an owner and operator of McCall's Sod Farm and the founder of Simmons Realty. He was a member of Hiland Park United Methodist Church. Mr. Simmons was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Navy. He is preceded in death by his son, John Russell "Rusty" Simmons. Mr. Simmons is survived by his wife, Dorothy F. Simmons of Panama City; two sons, Donald Percy Simmons Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif., and Will Simmons and wife, Cynthia of Panama City; one daughter, Marcia Weidenhaft and husband John of Lynn Haven; a daughter-in-law, Anna Simmons of Lynn Haven; one sister, Dorothy Ward of Bruce, Fla.; and eight grandchildren, Jeffrey Weidenhaft, Nicole Simmons, Amanda Weidenhaft, Christy Simmons, John Russell "Rusty" Simmons, Donald P. "Trey" Simmons, Will Simmons Jr., and Michael Simmons. Funeral services for Mr. Simmons will be conducted Friday, Dec. 28, at 10 a.m. in Southerland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ray Bass and the Rev. Harry Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Lynn Haven Cemetery. The family will received friends Thursday evening, Dec. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. BARNEY ALLEN BULLOCK
Mr. Barney Allen Bullock, 73, of Panama City, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, in a local hospital. Born in Wewahitchka, Fla., he moved to Bay County in 1955 from Kansas. Mr. Bullock was a crew chief on many types of aircraft while serving in the United States Air Force. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and the Vietname War. Mr. Bullock retired from the military in 1971 and returned to Panama City. He was a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church of Wewahitchka. Mr. Bullock is preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Carrie Bell Bullock. He is survived by three sons: Barney Bullock Jr., George Bullock, both of Springfield, Mo., and David Bullock of Caledonia, Mich.; two daughters, Marjorie Bullock of Springfield and Susan Peck and husband, Melvin of Callaway; grandson, Kenneth Peck and wife Genie of Evans, Ga., and one great-grandchild, Kenneth Lee Peck II of Evans. Funeral services for Mr. Bullock will be conducted Sunday, Dec. 31, at 1:30 p.m. in Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Neal Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Jehu Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening, Dec. 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and Sunday, Dec. 31, one hour prior to the service at the church.

Evangelist Deborah O. Hill-Lewis, 47, of 7015 Lois St., Callaway, died Monday, Dec. 25, 2000, in her home. She was a native of Panama City. She attended Carter Parrmore School and graduated from James A. Shanks in 1972, Quincy, Fla. In 1980, she received her call for her long life work for the ministry. She was faithful and loved by all that knew her. She was a Home Health Care Nurses's Aide and a member of Greater Deliverance Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Lewis II. She is survived by her loving children: George Lewis III (Vickie), Maurice Lewis and Cherika Lewis all of Panama City; fraternal mother, Lillie Mae Hill-Holmes; father, Manager Hill, Juanita Keys, aunt, (mother who raised her); three sisters: Bernice Holmes of Camden, N.J., Freda Edwards (Greg, a special brother-in-law) and Mary Charlotte Hill both of Panama City; two brothers, Emanuel Hill (Maurine) of London, England and Richard Hill (Diane) of Atlanta, Ga.; three special aunts: Queen Esther Scott, Namio Pennywell and Annie Smiley; four uncles: Spencer Lee Smiley, Leroy Martin, S.L. Keys and Kyso Donald (like a father); sister-in-law, Daisy Jones; five grandchildren (her hearts); special nieces, Tamesha and Tekia; special cousins, Prophetess Barbara Bell (Elder Tommy) and Linda Godwin; loving friends, Bea Smith and Luella Bell; a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, four great-nephews and friends. Funeral services for Evangelist Lewis will be held Saturday, Dec. 30, at 11 a.m. in Holy Vessel Church, 142 Claire Ave., Springfield, with Pastor Sherlene McClary and Elder Carl Jackson officiating. Interment to follow in Hillside Cemetery. The remains will repose at Greater Deliverance Church, 2515 E. Bus. Hwy. 98 this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and will lie in state on Saturday at Holy Vessel Church from 9 a.m. until service time. The family will receive relatives and friends at 7015 Lois St., Callaway.
