Funeral services for Quillie Bell Clark, 99, of 615 Florida Ave., Lynn Haven, who died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, in a local hospital, will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Brother J.C. Stanaland and the Rev. Lewis Miller officiating. Graveside services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the New Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, Slocomb, Ala. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. today. Active pallbearers are Kenny Landingham, Tim Lewis, Terry Lewis, Greg Lewis, Jamie Bell, David Lewis, Brian Lazorko, Edward Lazorko, Raymond Joyner, Will Joyner, Ronald Lee Bell Jr. and Kenny Watkins. Those desiring to, may make a contribution to your favorite charity in memory of Quillie Bell Clark. The family will be at the home of Mary Landingham, 1509 Texas Ave., Lynn Haven.

RICHARD C. CROCKETT
Richard C. Crockett, 72, of Port Charlotte, Fla., died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte. He was born Nov. 11, 1928, in Torrington, Conn., and moved to Port Charlotte four years ago from Panama City Beach, Fla. He retired as the Western Regional Sales Manager for Emhart Glass Industries in Anaheim, Calif. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in Germany during the Korean War. Survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James R. and Leslie Crockett of North Granby, Conn.; a sister, Virginia French of Hartford, Conn.; and a brother, John Crockett of Jacksonville, N.C. Visitation will be held from Monday from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Monday 2 p.m., Feb. 19, 2001, at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. The Rev. James R. Kuse of the Port Charlotte United Methodist Church will officiate. military honors will be by a U.S. Army Honor Guard. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla. JORDAN JEFFERY FLETCHER
Jordan Jeffery Fletcher, age 11, of Indian Pass, Fla., born Nov. 8, 1989, passed away Friday, Feb. 16, 2001. Jordan is survived by his loving parents, Jeffery Harold and Debra Nicole Fletcher and one sister, Brittany Nicole Fletcher, age 12. Jordans grandparents are Frank and Margaret Fletcher of Indian Pass and Mike and Sherry Anderson of Panama City; great-grandmothers, Dorothy Haddock of Chipley and Connie Taylor of Lynn Haven. Jordan is also survived by aunts and uncles: Rebecca and Andy Wise, Desiree Anderson, Christopher Anderson, Jonathan Anderson, Jason and Vanessa Pavlik and Gregory Fletcher. A memorial service is scheduled for 10 a.m. EDT on Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at the Oak Grove Assembly of God Church located on Madison Avenue in Port St. Joe, Fla. Jordan was a light to friends and community and a treasure to his family. A private family ceremony will be held at Bonnett Pond Community Church in Chipley, Fla., on Monday at 3 p.m. CDT.

CHARLEY B. HUGHES
Mr. Charley B. Hughes, 74, of 5811 E. Hwy. 22, Lot 20, Panama City, Fla., died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, at his residence. Mr. Hughes was born in Geneva County, Ala., and had lived in the Panama City area since 1948, moving here from Holmes County, Fla. He had served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy and had worked for Bay Medical Center for almost 19 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of Youngstown Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Melba Kate Hughes of Panama City; daughters: Ann Busbee and her husband, Buz of Palm City, Fla., Sue Whitton and her husband, Fred, Faye Hughes and Sandy Corbin, all of Panama City; a brother, Johnny Frank Hughes and wife, Inez of Panama City; grandchildren: Roger Whitton, Chris Whitton and his wife, Nicole, Jennifer Whitton, Robert McClellan III, Michael McClellan and his wife, Daniella, Christiana Miller and her husband, Kyle, Jason Reagan, Tyler Broxson; great-grandhildren: Joy, Troy, Mikaela, Kristin and Morgan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Franklin and Kelly Hughes. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Howard Browning officiating. military honors and interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Mr. Harry Jay Jones, age 73, of 222 Attu St., Panama City Beach, Fla., died Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, at his residence. Mr. Hughes was born in Bessemer, Ala., and had lived in the Panama City Beach area since 1988, moving here from Birmingham, Ala. He was a member of St. Thomas by the Sea Episcopal Church. He is survived by his wife, Judy W. Jones of Panama City Beach; sons, Jason Jones of Panama City Beach, Vann Jones of Bessemer; daughters, Terri Vickery of Helena, Ala., Kim Ledingham of Alabaster, Ala.; brothers, Harold Jones of Bessemer, Mack Jones of Columbia, S.C.; sisters: Jean Morgan and Paula Busby of Pleasant Grove, Ala., Evelyn Smith of Bessemer; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A private memorial service will be held on Tuesday at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Memorialization will be by cremation.

AUSTIN FORD JONES
Mr. Austin Ford Jones, age 89, of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, in a local hospital. Born on Aug. 12, 1912, in Walton County, Fla., he was the son of the late Horace and Emily Hamilton Jones. Mr. Jones was a lifelong resident of Walton County. He was Baptist by faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clio Alvis Jones in May of last year and his grandson, Brian Sharp. Mr. Jones is survived by one son, Gene Austin Jones and his wife, Carolynn of DeFuniak Springs; two daughters, Pat Bottoms and husband, John of DeFuniak Springs and Tammy M. Henley and her husband, Tom of Panama City, Fla.; two brothers, Elmer Jones and his wife, Gaynell of DeFuniak Springs and Homer Jones and his wife, Mildred of Naples, Fla.; one sister, Bernice Theise and husband, Eddie of Indianopolis, Ind.; five grandchildren: Michelle and Sam Jones, Emmitt Bottoms, Eric and Adam Henley; two great-grandchildren, Zoe Jones and Elliott Bottoms. Funeral services for Mr. Jones will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2001, in the Comander Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. K.D. McKee officiating. Burial will follow in Cluster Springs Cemetary. A time of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Feb. 18, in the Comander Funeral Home Chapel. Comander Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

GRACE TWEEDIE
Grace Tweedie, 72, of Mentor, Ohio, beloved Mother of Patricia Clouse of Bay Village, Ohio, James Tweedie and Freda Miller of Panama City, Barbara Siple of Lyndhurst, Ohio, Grace Griffith of Napierville, Ill., and Frances Scott of Mentor, Ohio, passed away on February 15, 2001. She also had 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and one great- great-grandchild. She was a member of Willoughby Chapter Order of Eastern Star and enjoyed playing bingo as much as possible. Services will be held at Davis Funeral Home in Willoughby, Ohio on Thursday, Feb. 22. Grace had just celebrated her 72nd birthday on Feb. 1 and was looking forward to relocating to Panama City in the near future.

Mr. Frank J. Alderman, 77, Panama City, Fla., (formerly of Cumming, Ga.) died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001. Mr. Alderman was born Jan. 14, 1924, in Fountain, Fla. He was raised in Freeport and Pensacola, Fla. until he entered the military service in 1943. He served as a U.S. Marine during World War II where he was disabled during the battle of Iwo Jima. Mr. Alderman worked for many years as a builder-developer in the North Georgia and Florida areas producing many homes and apartment complexes. He served as an engineer on the Buford Dam project in 1957, was a developer of Lockheed Nuclear Facility located on Dawsonville Ga. Mr. Alderman was preceded in death by his son Timothy John Alderman. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth V. Alderman of Panama City; children, Frank J. Alderman Jr. of Cornelia, Ga., Michael G. Alderman of Dothan, Ala., Beth and John Culp of Cumming, Ga., Jason R. and B.J. Alderman of Chipley, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, George W. Alderman of Pensacola; sisters, Bonnie Davis of Pensacola, Faye Cobb of Spanish Fort, Ala., Francis M. Conner of Marietta; nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive. Funeral services will be held today, Feb. 20, at 11 a.m., in Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donnie Cagle, the Rev. Robbie Mathis and the Rev. Mike Orr officiating. Interment Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Cumming, Ga. military honors provided by Cumming military Alliance.

SHIRLEY B. BARE
Mrs. Shirley B. Bare, age 66, of Panama City Beach, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, after a bout with cancer. A native of Daleville, Va., Mrs. Bare lived in Panama City for seven years, moving here from Riverside, Calif. She was a mother extrordinaire and the best cook on the planet. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Boyd B. Bare; three sons: David W. Bare of California, Benjamin B. Bare of Arizona, and Brian B. Bare of Hawaii; two sisters, Betty Breedlove of California and Carol Tarwater of Mount Dora, Fla. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in her name be made to the American Cancer Society.

JOHN FENN
John Fenn of Brampton, Ontario, Canada, passed away on Feb. 9, 2001. He was 71-years-old. Mr. Fenn maintained a winter home in Panama City and was a longtime member of Bay Point Yacht & Country Club. Mr. Fenn enjoyed an early career as a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and more recently operated a family owned heavy equipment company. He was active in the civic affairs of his home in Canada and his winter home at Bay Point. He is survived by his wife, Joan; his son, Doug and his wife Debra; son, Peter; sister, Betty Dawe and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society will be appreciated by the family.

William Scott Harvard, 24, of Houston, Texas, formally of Lynn Haven, Fla., died in an automobile accident in Houston on Feb. 14, 2001. He is survived by his mother, Margaret Jenkins of Houston; his father, Stephen Harvard Sr. and wife Helen of Lynn Haven; his brother, Stephen Harvard Jr. and wife Cynthia of Tomball, Texas; nephew, Jacob Cody Harvard; niece, Olivia Faith Harvard; sister, Trena Stone and husband Robert of Lynn Haven; niece, Emily Danielle Stone; nephew, Harrison Robert Stone; brother, Marvin Lewis of Tallahassee; grandmother, Geraldine Jenkins of Warner Robins, Ga.; and his fianc‚ ,Lauren Burkett of Houston. Scott served in the United States Marine Corps and received the National Defense and Good Conduct Medals. While he lived in Lynn Haven he was employed by Bay Medical Center. Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, in Katy, Texas.

THOMAS C. KING
Mr. Thomas C. King, age 61, of Panama City Beach, Fla., died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, at his home. He had been a resident of the area since 1980, coming here from Covington, La. Mr. King was a member of St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, where he enjoyed doing maintenance and working on the grounds. He served his country in the U.S. Navy for 22 years. Mr. King was a master diver and worked in explosive ordnance disposal and was a member of the UDT-Seal Community and the Fleet Reserve. He is survived by his mother, Helen King of Chicago, Ill.; his wife, Barbara King of Panama City Beach; sons, Jeff King and his wife Jacqueline of Staunton, Va., Frank King of Mesa, Ariz., and Thomas King of Folsom, La.; daughters, Dawn K. Randazzo and her husband Aaron of Folsom, La., Sunny King of Covington, La., and Helena King of Folsom, La.; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Eanes and her husband Mike of Ketchikan, Alaska; a stepson, Christopher Consorte of DeSota, Texas; brothers, Barry King and his wife Terry and Sonny King and his wife Beverly, all of Chicago, Ill.; a sister, Lorraine Janakowski of Chicago; and 10 grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 21, at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church with Fr. David O'Shea officiating. ADA MAE KNOWLES
Mrs. Ada Mae Knowles, age 80, of Millville, Fla., passed away Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001 in a local hospital. She moved from Little Rock, Ark. to Panama City over 40 years ago and was the manager of the S & H Green Stamps Store for many years. Mrs. Knowles was a loving and caring mother, a devoted Christian and a wonderful prayer warrior to many friends. She was also a member of Callaway Methodist Church. Mrs. Knowles is survived by her daughter, Bobbie O'Shields and her husband James of Panama City; sons: D. C. Knowles Jr. and his wife Meredith of Lakeland, Fla., Charles Knowles of Panama City, and Noel Knowles and his wife Tommie of Atlanta, Ga.; two granddaughters, Cindy Conrad and Hayley Spradlin; grandsons: Josh Knowles, Kyle Knowles, Matt Knowles, Nelson Knowles, and Ben Boyd; and great-grandsons: Austin Conrad, Aaron Conrad, and David Conrad. She was preceded in death by her husband, D. C. Knowles and a daughter, Danielle Robinette. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Reynolds and the Rev. Randy Kuhn officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are Mrs. Knowles grandsons: Josh Knowles, Kyle Knowles, Matt Knowles, Nelson Knowles, and Ben Boyd and her great-grandsons: Austin Conrad, Aaron Conrad, and David Conrad. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, Feb. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m.
