VIRGIL WILLIAM MOON SR.
Mr. Virgil William Moon Sr., 89, of 1103 Florence St., Parker, Fla., died Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at his home. Born in Kemper County, Miss., he moved here in 1942 from Perry, Fla. He was an aircraft engine mechanic and retired from the Dept. of the Air Force as a civil service employee. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Parker and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a Mason for 50 years and was a member of Masonic Blue Lodge No. 122 in Parker. His wife of 63 years, Grace Moon, precedes him in death. Mr. Moon is survived by four sons, Henry Reid Moon and wife Suzanne of Tallahassee, Virgil W. Moon Jr. of DeFuniak Springs, Brooks Timothy Moon and wife Patricia of Atlanta and David Bentley Moon of Mary Esther, Fla.; one sister, Helen Decker of Austin, Texas; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted today, March 16, at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church of Parker with the Rev. Craig Hartzog and the Rev. Donnie Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Parker Cemetery.

YVONNE G. PERRON
Yvonne G. (Sellers) Merchant Perron, 43, of 1 Arlington St., Amesbury, Mass. died Monday evening at her home after a short illness. She was the wife of John P. Perron. Born in Hollywood, Fla., Nov. 10, 1957, she was the daughter of Luke and Ruth (Payne) Sellers of Hollywood, Fla. Yvonne was a nurse and had done private duty nursing. In addition to her husband and her parents, she is survived by two daughters, Nicolette Brewster and Yvette Perron both of Amesbury; five sisters: Annette Nash of Hollywood, Kathy Kirkland of Panama City, Donna Merchant of Panama City, Liz Mock of Gainesville and Joyce Blackburn of Jackson, Miss.; three brothers: Ivey Merchant of Lauderdale, Fla., Jessie Merchant, and Hobson Sellers both of Hollywood, Fla.; also many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial services will be held today, March 16 at 10 a.m. at Paul C. Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Ave., Amesbury. Interment will be private. By request of the family, there will be no calling hours.

Hubert Quick, age 78, went home to be with the Lord on 14 March 2001. He was a resident of Bay County since 1937. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elaine Dorriety Quick, three sons, John Quick and wife Voncile of Wewa, Tim Quick and wife Wanda of Brannonville, Paul Quick and wife Melissa of Huntsville, Ala., two daughters Glenda Quick of Howards Creek, and Martha Janssen and husband Beau of Washington, and honorary daughter Dorothy; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Quick; and sister, Grace Ogburn, both of Hartford, Ala. He was a private in the U.S. Army having served during World War II. He was retired from the U.S. Corps of Engineers where he served as deckhand on the Guthrie and fireman on the snagboat Montgomery. He was a council member of the North Bay Indian Clan. He was a member of Hiland Park Assembly of God Church. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 19, 2001, at 2 p.m. at the North Bay Clan Indian Village, 3733 Hwy. 2321, Lynn Haven. Interment will be in the Bayou George Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at their home on Sunday afternoon. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Bay Medical 2 South Cardiovascular Unit and to Dr. Mubarak. Those desiring to may make a contribution to the North Bay Indian Clan in memory of Hubert Quick.

CHARLES CURTYS ROBINSON
Charles Curtys Robinson, 70, of Springfield, Fla., died Wednesday, March 14, 2001, in a local hospital. He was a resident of Bay County since 1966. He retired from the U.S. Air Force having served in Europe and during the Vietname War. After retirement, he worked in the maintenance department for the Bay County School Board. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and a life member of the D.A.V. Eastside No. 79. He was preceded in death by his father, Euell Curtys Robinson; and brother, Joe Douglas Robinson. Mr. Robinson is survived by his wife, Frances Robinson; three daughters, Kathy McQuagge and her husband, Jim of Lynn Haven, Janis Nolan and her husband, Jack of Meridian, Miss., Jennifer Speigner and her husband, Casey of Enterprise, Ala.; two sons, Richard Douglas Robinson and his wife, Linda of Bayou George, David Robinson and his wife, Angela of Southport; his mother, Gurtys Robinson; and three sisters, Dorothy Cole, Eva Grace Billingsley and Susie Williams all of Clanton, Ala.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Floyd Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Those desiring to may make a contribution to the Trinity United Methodist Church memorial fund in memory of Charles Robinson.

D. Scott Tippy, age 42, of Herrin, Ill., died Monday, March 12, 2001, in Carbondale, Ill. Funeral service was held March 15, 2001, at Van Natta Funeral Home in Herrin, Ill., with burial following in Herrin City Cemetery.

Colletta "Pat" Owens White, 74, of Marianna died Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at her home. Born in Jacksonville, she had lived here since 1945 and was of the Methodist faith. She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Sue Daniels of Marianna and Jacalyn Kay Owens of Panama City; one granddaughter, Colletta Ann Capell of South Carolina; one great-grandson, William Andrew Randall of South Carolina; and two nieces, Linda Lowe of Jacksonville and Dawnese Ancog of Perry. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today, March 16, at James and James Funeral Home, Maddox Chapel. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery with James and James Funeral Home, Maddox Chapel directing.

MARK ROBERT VERSTRING
Mr. Mark Robert Verstring, age 44, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 14, 2001. He was born in Southbend, Ind., on Sept. 10, 1956, to Robert and Isabella Verstring, who have preceded him in death. Mr. Verstring graduated from John I. Leonard High School in West Palm Beach, Fla. He has lived in this area for 21 years, coming here from West Virginia. He was employed at the Coastal Systems Station in the Dept. of Defense as a Security Officer. Mr. Verstring holds the highest license "Extra Class" for amateur radio operators. Mr. Verstring was a member of the Panama City Amateur Radio Club and a Volunteer Examiner for amateur radio testing. He also enjoyed jazz from the 1920s to the 1930s, especially music by Bix Biederbeck. He is a member of the Christian faith. Mr. Verstring is survived by his wife of 10 years, Barbara Verstring of Youngstown; his step-mother, Marilyn Mathis of Panama City; step-sisters, Romelli Caignong and Diana Caignong, both of Panama City; cousins, Mary Fisher and her husband Carl of Southbend, Ind., and John Koelndorfer and his wife Linda of Mishawaka, Ind.; parents-in-law, Roy and Opal Craig of Cedar Grove; brothers-in-law, Michael Craig of Fort Lauderdale, Darryl Craig of Wilton Manors, Fla., and Gary Craig and his wife Wanda of Hollywood, Fla.; two nephews; one niece; and one great-nephew; and many wonderful friends. He was also preceded in death by a special aunt, Rosalie Koelndorfer. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe O'Daniel and the Rev. Ron L'Huillier officiating.

AMANDA R. WAKEFIELD
Amanda Reamer Wakefield, 17, went to be with the Lord on March 12, 2001. She was killed in an auto accident. Services will held March 17, 2001, at 3 p.m. at Davis Creek Baptist Church, Ala. Bessemer Brown's Funeral Home in Bessemer, Ala., is in charge of the arrangements.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Margaret Louise White, age 80, of 4804 Alameda St., Callaway, Fla., loving mother and grandmother who went to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 13, 2001, will be held at 2 p.m. today, March 16, at Callaway Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Bobby Thompson, the Rev. Dewey Myers, and Mrs. White's "grandson", Pastor Brad Sullivan. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Patricia Williamson, age 66, of 939 E. Park St., Panama City, Fla., died Saturday, March 10, 2001, at a local nursing facility. She had been a resident of the area for 20 years, coming here from Anna Maria Island, Fla., and was Roman Catholic by faith. Mrs. Williamson is survived by her husband, Ronald Williamson of Panama City; one son, Jay Poit of New York City; a sister, Dorothy Cox of Portland, Ore.; and four grandchildren.

TERRELL KEITH JACKSON
Mr. Terrell Keith Jackson, 27, of 129 Kacy Lane, died March 14, 2001, in a local hospital. Terrell was a very intelligent, humble, loving and caring young man who went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ. He brought a smile to the faces of those he encountered. He was employed as a Hitch-Trailer Manager for the 15th St. U-Haul Company, and a member of the Carter Temple First Born Church. Leaving to share his memories are his parents, Margaret and Johnny Jackson Sr. of Wewahitchka; a fiance, Jacqueline Myers of Panama City; three God-sent children, Collondra and Ronald Jones Jr. of Panama City and Precious Jones of Wewahitchka; three brothers, Kenneth and Justin Jackson of Panama City, and Johnny Jackson Jr. of Wewahitchka; two sisters, Tameka Jackson of Wewahitchka and Taveka Jackson of Gainesville; grandparents, Velma Williams of Panama City and Dorothy and the late Herman Williams of Pensacola; aunts, Betty and Mozell Jackson of Wewahitchka; Mattie, Shirley, and Lula Jackson of Panama City; Hattie (John) Brown and Rose (Mike) McNeal of Trenton; Christie Fitzgerald (Sonny), Geneath "Von" (Larry) Burns, Velma "Louise" Williams of Miami; Carolyn Williams and Charmique (Derrick) Kaplan of Pensacola; Betty (Marcus) Beslin of Virginia Beach, Va.; uncles, Joseph (Sylvia) Jackson Sr. of Wewahitchka; Allen Jackson of Panama City; and Lamar (Carolyn) Williams of Pensacola; niece, Alexis Jackson of Wewahitchka; nephews, Khalil and Jaden Jackson of Wewahitchka; Demond and Demyan Ross of Gainesville; goddaughter, Tenkia Wickerson of West Palm Beach; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Jackson will be held Sunday, March 18 at 2 p.m. in the Carter Temple First Born Church, Wewahitchka, with Elder Bradford Johnson, Pastor, officiating. Burial to follow in Williamsburg Cemetery, Wewahitchka. The remains will lie in state at the church on Sunday from 12 noon until service time. LESLIE V. MOSLEY
Mr. Leslie V. Mosley, age 87, of Panama City Beach, Fla., died Wednesday, March 14, 2001. He had been a resident of the area for 27 years, coming here from Pennsylvania. Mr. Mosley was a very active member of Gulf Beach Presbyterian Church for many years. He was also an avid golfer. Mr. Mosley is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nellie Mosley of Panama City Beach; daughters, Betty Cogen of Marlton, N.J., and Sheila Chenoweth of Tulsa, Okla.; sons, Jerry Mosley of Naples, Fla., and Erwin Mosley of Jackson, N.J.; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Memorial services have been changed from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. today, March 17, at Gulf Beach Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 p.m. until service time today. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gulf Beach Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 271 S. Hwy. 79, Panama City Beach, FL 32413 or to a charity of your choice.

Frances Elizabeth Watson, 87, of Maplesville, Ala. died Friday, March 16, 2001, at the residence of her daughter in Wewahitchka, Fla. where she had lived for the past two years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Theran C. Watson. She is survived by a son, Tom Watson and his wife, Kathy of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; a daughter, Mary Ann Pitts and her husband, Charles of Wewahitchka; five grandchildren, Lee Ann and Johnny Perry of Tuscaloosa; Jeff and Jodi Watson, Cory and Janey Pitts, Brian and Renee Pitts, and David Pitts; and one great-grandchild, Charlie Pitts all of Birmingham, Ala. Mrs. Watson was a lifelong member of Maplesville Baptist Church. The family wishes to express deep appreciation to Dr. Michael Barnes and staff, NHC Nurses, and Mary Griffin for their compassionate care. Delbert L. Allan, 80, of Youngstown, died Friday, March 16, 2001, at his home. He was a native of Mesquite, Nev., and had lived in Bay County for several years. The family has requested memorialization by cremation.

KENNETH D. GULCK
Mr. Kenneth D. Gulck, 68, of Panama City, Fla., passed away March 12, 2001, at his home. Born in Regal, Minn., he moved here in 1983 from Sioux City, Iowa. He was a real estate agent/broker where he was a million-dollar achiever. He was also a dairy farmer. He was involved in the operation of a pet shop. He was a Catholic by faith and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the United States Airforce in Europe. Mr. Gulck is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lois Gulck of Panama City; one son, Steven Gulck and wife, Renita of Southport, Fla., and one daughter, Renee Baxter and husband, Mark of Saucier, Miss. Memorialization will be by cremation.
