Roy L. West, 66, of Chipley, Fla., departed this life on March 24, 2001, at his resident near Chipley. Mr. West is a native of Dover, Fla., moving to Chipley several years ago. He was a Baptist by faith and a member of Oak Grove Church, where he served as deacon. He was a heavy equipment operator. He has cleared a lot of land for people of Washington and surrounding counties. Survivors include wife, Dottie West, of Chipley; three sons: Chet West of Colorado Springs, Co., Dave West of Hollywood, Ala., and Neil West of Panama City, Fla.; one brother, Wilburn West, of Dover, Fla.; four sisters: Clara West, Gerri Rappa and Wanda Taylor all of Dover, Fla., and Lavell Carlisle of Thonotosassa, Fla.; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Bonnett Pond Church with the Rev. Corbin Hicks and the Rev. James Harrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be at Brown Funeral Home today from 6 to 8 p.m.

DELIA MARGARET YAWN CLEMO
Delia Margaret Yawn Clemo, 59, of 2113 West 27th St., Panama City, 784-0783, died Sunday, March 25, 2001, in a local hospital. She was the coordinator of Prime 55 Senior Program with People's First Community Bank. She was a member of the RSVP Board, Bay Med Plus Senior Board, a past member of the Council on Aging Administrative Board, past member of the Administrative Board of Woodlawn United Methodist Church, honorary chairman of the Relay for Life Team for People's First, past member of the Junior Woman's Club and a member of the Searchers Sunday school class. She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. John P. Yawn. Mrs. Clemo is survived by her husband, Don W. Clemo; two sons, Bradley W. Clemo and his wife, Jennifer of Martinsville, Va., Clifford Scott Clemo and his wife, Mary Marie of Panama City; her mother, Maggie Yawn of Macon, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Si Clemo, Jonathan Clemo, Rose Clemo, Lindsey Clemo, Sunny Clemo, Drew Clemo, Cubby Clemo; two sisters, Mrs. Jean Kennedy and her husband, Kenneth of Lizella, Ga., and Mrs. Nancy Simons and her husband, Bobby of Bonaire, Ga.; and her father-in-law, Joseph F. Clemo. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Woodlawn United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ron Ball and Brother Si Mathison officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Funeral services for Mr. David Fuller Emory Sr., 77, of 1705 Alabama Ave., Panama City, Fla., who passed away Saturday, March 24, 2001, at a local hospital, will be held at 3 p.m. today, March 27, 2001, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Fred Lowry and Dr. Dewey Davidson officiating. Interment will follow at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery with graveside rites conducted by the Bay Masonic Lodge No. 337, with the color guard conducted by the York Rite. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are Paul Stocker, Art Bazzel, Frank Menge, Tom Cooper, Roy Rhodes and Raymond Miller. MILDRED E. 'MILLIE' FITZPATRICK
Mrs. Mildred E. "Millie" Fitzpatrick, 78, of 909 Tech Drive, Lynn Haven, Fla., died Sunday, March 25, 2001, at her home. Born in Wewahitchka, she was a lifelong resident of this area and was a homemaker. She was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving as a photographer. She was a member of Panama City Country Club for over 50 years and she loved to play golf. She also enjoyed horse shows, traveling and visiting with old childhood friends. Her husband of 46 years, Judge Warren L. Fitzpatrick, precedes her in death. Mrs. Fitzpatrick is survived by six daughters, Dianna Joiner and husband Travis, Marilee Barfield and husband George, Jean Tillman and husband Frank, Julia Fitzpatrick, Patria Maulden and husband Jim, Kimberly Pell; one brother, Hardy Gordon Levins; eight grandchildren, Colleen Hayes and husband Jason, Molly Able and husband Mark, Ed Barfield and wife Lori, Tod Barfield and wife Teresa, Melanie Mason and husband Phillip, Jeff Tillman and wife Becky, Sandi Robinson and husband Bruce and Nicole Maulden; 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 28, at 2 p.m. in the Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel with Judge David Taunton officiating. Interment will follow in Lynn Haven Cemetery. Mrs. Fitzpatrick's grandson will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, March 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. The family headquarters will be at 3020 Kings Harbour Road in Panama City.

ETTA PAULINE FULLER
Mrs. Etta Pauline Fuller, 84, of Panama City, Fla., died Monday, March 26, 2001, in a local convalescent center. Born in Albia, Iowa, she moved here in 1995 from Auburn, Ill. She was a devoted wife, mother and cared deeply about those whe called friends. She was Baptist by faith. Mrs. Fuller worked in the generator section of Consolidated Aircraft Company, which made the B-24 aircrafts during World War II. Her loving husband of 56 years, George R. Fuller, precedes her in death. Mrs. Fuller is survived by a son, Michael Fuller and wife, Laurette of Panama City; brother, Chester Utley of Hawthorne, Calif.; one sister, Loretta Name of Iowa; one grandchild, Michael Fuller Jr. and wife, Becky of Dallas, Texas. Memorialization will be by cremation.

ALMA ROBERTA GATLIN
Alma Roberta Gatlin, age 74, of 1117 Fairy Ave., Panama City, Fla., died Sunday, March 25, 2001, at her home. She had been a resident of the area since 1946, moving here from Knoxville, Tenn. Mrs. Gatlin had retired from the Holiday Lodge restaurant and was a member of the 55+Club and the Moose Lodge. She attended Central Pentecostal Ministries. Mrs. Gatlin is survived by her children, Bonnie Holbein of Canton, Ohio, Patricia Fagot and her husband, Ed of Panama City, Sandra Pitts and her husband, Howard of Panama City Beach, Diana Eldridge and her husband, Randall of Bayou George, Janice Broussard and her husband, Jeff of Baton Rouge, La., Roberta Kent and her husband, Louis of Knoxville, Tenn., Michael Hill and his wife, Colene of Panama City Beach, Frank Hill Jr. and his wife, Sherri, Alvin Hill and his future wife, Sherrie, and Connie Traxler and friend, Jerry, all of Panama City, and Spencer Stephenson and his wife Angel and Jerry Stephenson, both of Howards Creek, Fla.; brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law, Jack and Jean Carter, Lela Extine, Shirley Jones, Lavina and Buck George, Don and Rocky Jones and Murl Jones; 47 grandchildren and their spouses; 44 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; dear friends and neighbors, Addie and Joe Malito; aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Hill Sr. and Durwood "Pete" Stephenson; a daughter, Joy Craynon; two brothers, M.L. Jones and Warren Jones; and her mother, Cora Ellen Newman. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at Central Pentecostal Ministries with the Rev. Don Shoots officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are Tony Raffield, Steve Pitts, Larry Raffield, Chris Raffield, Jon Pitts and Aaron Broussard. Honorary pallbearers will include Phillip Dempsey Jr., Jeffrey Broussard, Ed Fagot, Robert Veysey, Kenneth Zupan, Ed Sandell, Phillip Clemmons, Joe Holliday, Joseph Holliday, Josh Flynn, Daniel Flynn, Brett Fagot, Brett Adams, Brian Craynon, John Craynon Jr., Michael Traxler and Johnny Eldridge. The family will receive friends at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home today, March 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. The family will be staying at the home of Mrs. Gatlin's granddaughter, Tina Holliday, 1614 New Hampshire Ave., Lynn Haven, FL.

ANNA LEE GRINSLADE
Mrs. Anna Lee Grinslade, 81, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Sunday, March 25, 2001, in a local nursing home. She was born in Point Washington, Fla., and lived here all her life. She was a homemaker and a member of United Pentecostal Church of Hiland Park. Mrs. Grinslade is preceded in death by seven brothers. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. JoAnn Hall of Hiland Park, Mrs. Winnie Williams and husband, Dean of Bayou George; three sons, Eugene Peoples, Wesley Peoples and Jerry Peoples, all of Panama City; 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mollie Bell-Millirons of Panama City. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 28, at 10 a.m. in United Penecostal Church of Hiland Park with the Rev. Wilford Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Callaway Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6 to 8 p.m.

MARTHA ANNE JONES
Mrs. Martha Anne Jones, age 64, of 1617 Molitor Ave., Panama City, Fla., went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 26, 2001, at her home. Born in Cottondale, Fla., she had been a resident of the area since 1984, coming here from Orlando, Fla. Mrs. Jones was a homemaker who loved the outdoors, especially being near the water, and enjoyed water skiing and boating. She is survived by her husband, Billy J. Jones of Panama City; sons, David Bailey and his wife, Carol of Memphis, Tenn., Dale Bailey and his wife, Sharon of Chattanooga, Tenn., John Bailey and Raymond Bailey and his wife, Cindy, all of Panama City; a daughter, Brenda Little of Memphis; stepsons, Jimmy Jones and his wife, Brenda of Orlando and Larry Jones and his wife, Paula of Valparaiso, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wedneday, March 28, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are Mrs. Jones' sons, David Bailey, Dale Bailey, John Bailey and Raymond Bailey, and friends of the family, James Lloyd Smith and Chris Minch. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today, March 27. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Dr. Bruce Josten, and the Hospice of Northwest Florida for the excellent care given to Martha during her final illness.

FREDERICK JOHNOWEN KENT
Mr. Frederick Johnowen Kent, age 82, of 4341 Thomas Drive, Panama City Beach, Fla., died Friday, March 23, 2001, at a local nursing facility. He had been a resident of the area for 12 years and was Protestant by faith. Mr. Kent served his country in the U.S. Army and was one of the first landing at Omaha Beach on June 6, 1944, and was the recipient of the Purple Heart. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Kent of Panama City; daughter, Judith Rubin of New York, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Kurt DePoy of New York, Erik DePoy of Moscow, Russia, and Kristen Blaeser of Boxford, Mass.; and three great-grandchildren.

NANCY UNDERWOOD LANGFORD
Mrs. Nancy Underwood Langford, 69, of 5112 South Bonita Ave., Panama City, Fla., went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 26, 2001, at her home. Born in Ardmore, Okla., she moved here in 1978 from Gainesville, Fla. She was a homemaker and a minister's wife. Mrs. Langford was a member of First Baptist Church of Panama City where her husband, Dr. N.B. Langford, was the pastor for many years until his death in 1998. She taught Sunday school, experiencing God, women's retreats and fruits of spirit, not to mention countless other bible studies. Mrs. Langford was a member of Panama City Woman's Club, St. Andrews Bay Yacht Club and Board of Directors for the Florida Baptist Children's Home and the Florida Baptist Missions Board. Mrs. Langford is survived by one daughter, Nancy Baughman and husband, Jeff of Las Vegas, Nev.; one son, Nathan Langford of Panama City; two grandsons, Jared and Jason Baughman of Las Vegas, Nev. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 29, at 11 a.m. in First Baptist Church of Panama City with the Rev. Steve Bass, the Rev. Robert Davis and the Rev. Craig Conner officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacon's wives and the Nancy Langford Bible Study Group. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Mrs. Langford was a fine Christian woman and was a mentor to many. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

JOE ELLIS MCQUAGGE
Mr. Joe Ellis McQuagge, 66, of Panama City, Fla., went to be with our Lord Sunday, March 25, 2001. He was a 1953 Bay High School graduate. He retired from the United States Post Office after 37 years. After retirement, he enjoyed many wonderful days of golf, tennis and Friday night ballroom dancing. Mr. McQuagge was an active member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church. He served on the Board of Trustees Building Committee, Administrative Council, Golden Circle Sunday school class, and the St. Andrew United Methodist Men's Club. He also served on the Board of the Postal Credit Union. Big "D" was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Maris Zediker McQuagge, of Panama City; three sons, Andy McQuagge and wife, Nan of Panama City, Steve McQuagge of the Woodlands, Texas; Troy McQuagge and wife Sandi of Coppell, Texas; one daughter, Melanie McQuagge Fortunato and husband Maj. Andrew Fortunato of Fredericksburg, Va.; six grandchildren; Jonathan, Drew, Wesley and Connor McQuagge; Alicia and Zane Fortunato; and three brothers, Dewey McQuagge, Bob McQuagge and James McQuagge. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, at St. Andrew United Methodist Church with interment following at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with Dr. Charles Hays and the Rev. Ed Britton officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Wilson Funeral Home. TONY ALLEN THARP
Mr. Tony Allen Tharp, age 42, of Bayou George, formerly of Jackson County, died Sunday, March 25, 2001. Mr. Tharp was a lifelong resident of Jackson County before moving to the Bayou George area. Mr. Tharp loved his family and was a people person. He also loved to fish and ride motorcycles. Mr. Tharp was preceded in death by his father, Allen Tharp in 1996. Survivors include his wife, Vickie Tharp of Bayou George; one son, Travis Allen Tharp of Cottondale; his mother, Mrs. Sharon R. Morris of Kynesville, Fla.; two brothers, Dennis Tharp and wife, Sue Ann, of Marianna, and Timothy G. Tharp of Cocoa, Fla. Mr. Tharp is survived by his grandparents, Howard and Alta Morris of Kynesville and Mrs. Gertrude Tharp of Cottondale. Memorial services for Mr. Tharp will be held Wednesday, March 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home. The family has asked that everyone come dressed in casual attire.
