Aubrey A. Lovett, 87, of 7726 State Highway 77, Southport, died Friday morning in his home. He was a lifelong resident of Southport and was a retired operating engineer for 48 years; he retired in l979. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local Union #653. He attended Sand Hills Assembly of God Church and the First Assembly of God Church in Southport. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Nichols Lovett, the mother of their 8 children; a grandson, Stacy Lovett; and two brothers, W.I. Lovett and Carlton Lovett. He is survived by his wife and fishing partner, Bernice Lovett; three sons, Jimmy Lovett and wife, Barbara, Donnie Lovett and wife, Judy, Doug (Mon) Lovett and wife, Kay; five daughters, Reeva Chonko, Ruth White and husband, Abbott, Audrey McKenzie and husband, Gerald, Louise (Weeze) York and husband Calvin, Sue Capps and husband, Ken; l5 grandchildren; l4 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother, E.Y. Lovett and wife, Sadie; two sisters, Faye Walker and husband, Louie; Sue Kirchman; two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Lovett and Gerthlee Lovett. Funeral services will be held Monday at l p.m. in the First Assembly of God church of Southport with the Rev. Joe Sellers, the Rev. R.C. Warren, the Rev. Nixon Miller, the Rev. Danny Burns and the Rev. Darwin Glass officiating. Burial will follow in the Southport Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the First Assembly of God Church in Southport from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday.

FIANNA S. BENSON
Fianna S. Benson, a resident of Williamsburg, Virg. died Friday, March 23 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, George D. Benson, and her sister, Katherine S. Weibley. Mrs. Benson owned and operated F. Benson and Associates Interior Design Shop for 10 years and was the first woman to join the Homebuilders Association of Colorado Springs, Colo. She continued to be a freelance decorator and avid bridge player after retiring to Mexico Beach, Fla. Fianna moved to Williamsburg five years ago and was a member of the Kingsmill Bridge Club. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Benson Middleton and husband Ross and their son Nathan of Toronto, Canada; one sister, Mary Lou Fink and husband Joe and their children, Kathy, Jeffery, Patrick, and Patricia of Harrisburg, Penn.; four nieces: Sondra W. Morton and Susan W. Adey of Williamsburg, Virg., Carol Rains of Littleton, Colo., Karen Oldroyd of New York; and extended family in Bradford County, Penn. A local memorial service will be held on April 11, 4 p.m. at the Williamsburg Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Cailles officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. RAYMOND D. BITTICK
Mr. Raymond D. Bittick, age 81, died April 5, 2001, at his Callaway home after a long illness. He was born on Sept. 18, 1919, to Paul B. Bittick and Sadie Ann (Haynes) Bittick in Joplin, Mo. An engineer by profession, Ray worked with many large businesses in the Midwest such as Boeing Aircraft, Milnot, Mutual Boiler Insurance Company, Automatic Electric Company and Southern Illinois University, before retiring to Panama City, Fla., in 1972, where he was the co-owner of Paradise Park. An avid craftsman, he rebuilt several classic wooden cruisers to enjoy with his family on the local bays. As a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics, he helped establish several model airplane clubs, and built and flew scale model aircraft until 1998. He was a former member of both the St. Andrew Bay Power Squadron and the Emerald Coast Giant Scalers Model Aircraft Club. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John Milton Bittick and Paul B. Bittick, Jr.; and a daughter, Kelly Rae Johns. Mr. Bittick is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years Claudia Bittick of Panama City, Fla.; two sons, David M. Bittick and wife Mary Beth of Panama City, and Gene M. Bittick and wife Jill of Sunnyside, Fla; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held today, April 8, at 2 p.m. at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Hill officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ray's memory to the Hospice of the Emerald Coast or to the Bay County Special Olympics.

MRS. DELORIS ANN BOWMAN
Mrs. Deloris Ann Bowman, 63, of Blountstown, Fla., died Saturday at Gulf Pines Hospital in Port St. Joe, Fla. Mrs. Bowman was born in Bay Minette, Ala., and was a registered nurse. She was a member of the Blountstown United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Paul Bowman of Atlanta, Ga.; Andrew Bowman of Blountstown; two sisters, Wanda Tucker of Lake City, Fla., Linda Spivey of Tallahassee, Fla.; two brothers, Leo St. Amant and Tommy St. Amant, both of Panama City; and five grand children. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 9, 2 p.m. in the Blountstown United Methodist Church with Rev. Danny Arnold officiating. Interment will follow in the Nettle Ridge Cemetary in Blountstown. The family will receive friends today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home.

JOHN A. KOLMETZ
John A. Kolmetz, 80, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2001, at Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley, Fla. A Caryville resident, Mr. Kolmetz was a native of the Live Oak Community and was retired from the International Paper Company. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Fredrick Kolmetz, Elam Kolmetz, Delburt Kolmetz; three sisters: Eva Jenkins, Anna Lou Galloway, Mae Perkins; and one stepdaughter, Mary Sue Romano. Mr. Kolmetz is survived by three brothers: Henry H. Kolmetz and wife Tommie of Panama City, Fla., Doyle Kolmetz and wife Deanne of Ft. Worth, Texas; Rev. Victor Kolmetz and wife Jean of Crestview, Fla.; three sisters: Everlye Bryant of Ft. Worth, Bertha Padgett of Vernon, Fla., Alscie Strickland of Bonifay, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Rachel Kolmetz of Vernon; one brother-in-law, Johnny Perkins of Vernon; two stepsons, Dr. Ken Yarbor and wife Stella of Vernon, and James David Yarbor and wife Lois of Panama City; one stepson-in-law, S.A. Romano of Panama City; five grandchildren: Carla Hight, Jay Yarbor, Tony Romano, David Yarbor and Brian Yarbor; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held today, April 8, 3 p.m. at Live Oak Baptist Church in Washington County, with Rev. Victor Kolmetz and Rev. Jerry Leisz officiating. Burial will follow at the Live Oak Church Cemetary. Asked to serve as pallbearers are: Tom Kolmetz, Ricky Padgett, Scotty Padgett, John Devine, Thomas David Jenkins, and Henry Edsol Jenkins.

Mr. Dee S. Morrison, age 83, of 1830 W. 25th. St., Panama City, Fla., passed away Friday, April 6, 2001, at his home. Mr. Morrison has been a resident of Bay County for 55 years coming here from Gaskin, Fla. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors, and woodworking, and was a member of the BPO Elks. Mr. Morrison is survived by his wife, Mary T. Morrison of Panama City; three sons, Richard D. Morrison and wife Kathy, John D. Morrison and wife Barbara, Henry Gregor Morrison and wife Mary, all of Panama City; three grandchildren, Kathleen Morrison Bate of Benton, Tenn.; Bruce Morrison of Orlando, Fla.; and Carol Andrews and husband Mike of Dothan, Ala.; two great-grandchildren; special friend & fishing partner James Whisenant, of Gulf Breeze, Fla. Mr. James Earl Pippin, 66, of Panama City, Fla., died Saturday, April 7, 2001, in Panama City. He was a lifelong resident of Bay County and was Catholic by faith. Mr. Pippin is survived by one daughter, Sandy Julie Pippin-Gomez and husband Cesar; one granddaughter, Sara Mae Gomez and past wife Cira Strickland. A funeral service will be held Monday, April 9, at 10 a.m. in St. John's The Evangelist Catholic Church, with Father Andrew Lewandowski officiating. Interment will follow in the Lynn Haven City Cemetary. The family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Southerland Funeral Home with a Rosary to be held at 8 p.m.

Mr. Armand Beaudette, 68, of Panama City Beach, died Sunday, April 8, 2001, at his residence. Born in Portland, Maine, he moved here in 1996, and was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Mr. Beaudette is survived by his wife, Carolyn Beaudette; his mother, Martha of Westbrook, Maine; three sons: Anthony Beaudette of Arlington Heights, Ill., John "Jack" Beaudette of Panama City Beach, and Brian Beaudette of Atlanta, Ga.; one daughter, Kristina Beaudette of Auburn Hills, Mich.; one sister, Doris Gagnon of Connecticut; and three grandsons. Funeral services for Mr. Beaudette will be conducted in Sedalia, Mo. A memorial service will be announced at a later date to be held at St. Bernadette Catholic Church .

WILLIAM R. LANDRY
William R. Landry, 67, of Wewahitchka, Fla., died Sunday evening, April 8, 2001, in Port St. Joe. He was a native of Revere, Mass., and had been living in Bay and Gulf counties since the 1950's. Mr. Landry worked as a finishing carpenter for Brown and Root Construction Company and was Presbyterian by faith. He served in the United States Air Force, was on the board of directors of the Senior Citizen Association of Gulf County and a member of the VFW in DeFuniak Springs, Fla. Mr. Landry is survived by his wife, Olivia Landry of Wewahitchka; two sons, William R. Landry Jr. and Robert Michael Landry; two daughters, Deborah Marie Mears and Angela V. Richards; a brother, Henry Richard Landry; a stepson, Joseph A. Webster and a stepdaughter, Susan Olivia Webster; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Cancer Society in memory of Mr. Landry.
