Sonya Deneice Rogers, 38, of 1025 Glenn Haven Drive, Hutchins, Texas passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2001. A native of Wichita Falls, Texas, she had been a resident of this area for many years. She leaves to cherish her memories, two children, Darryl Lee and Dalicia Shalynquae Rogers both of Panama City, Fla.; mother, Willie Jean (the Rev. Ozell) Connors of Hutchins, Texas; father, Larry Block; sister, Vera (John) Davis; brother, Monte Lee Block both of Hutchins, Texas; grandmother, Earline Wherry; aunt, Veralene (Wallace) Adkins; cousins, Tony (Bridgett) Johnson, Michael (Yolanda) Johnson, Bruce Johnson; father of her children, Darryl Rogers; mother-in-law, Jewel Rogers; brothers-in-law, Chucky (Jackie) Rogers, Fred (Sharon) Norton, Danny Scott, Charles Faison, Willie (Carla) Rogers, Derrick Rogers; sisters-in-law, Betty (Lee) Pickens, Veronica Franklin, Frances (Eugene) Green, Cindi (Arthur) Groomes, Deborah (Joe) Rogers, Bonita (Donnie) McCray, Cassandra (Gary) McCree, Levetta (James), Iletha (Ty) Brown; special friends, Erica and Tonie; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Rogers will be held today, April 14 at 1 p.m., at Family of God Baptist Church with the Rev. Arthur Groomes officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service. Visitation at Gainer Family Funeral Home Chapel will be from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today. The family will receive relatives and friends at the home of Jewel Rogers, 4135 Cherry Lane.

BETTY SUE ROMACK
Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Sue Romack, 65, of Panama City, will be conducted today, April 14, 2001, at 10 a.m. in Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Raley officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Stewart Romack, Bradley Romack, Joseph Romack, Joseph Cuevas, Ronnie Whitton and Steve Pehr.

KENNETH 'PICK' STRANGE
Infant Kenneth "Pick" Strange, 8 months old, of Wewahitchka, Fla., died Wednesday, April 11, 2001, at his home. Pick is survived by his mother and father, Kenny and Kristina Strange; two sisters, Heather and Taylor Strange; paternal grandparents, Alfred and Lorene Strange all of Wewahitchka; maternal grandparents, Norman and Marcy Olsen of Alexandria, La., Bobby and Marilyn Green of Lexington, Ky.; aunts and uncles, Steven Strange, Robin Lester, Chase Olsen and Michael Olsen. Funeral services will be conducted today, April 14 at 10 a.m. in First Methodist Church of Wewahitchka with the Rev. Harry Johnson and the Rev. John Kramer officiating. Interment will follow in Roberts Cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Steven Strange, Robert Weeks, Jerry Parish, Billy Traylor, Dennis Peak and Philip Gaskin.

JABE A. BRELAND
Jabe A. Breland, M.D., 76, died April 12, 2001, in Jackson Hospital. Dr. Breland had a long and distinguished medical career serving the people of Marianna, Jackson County and Northwest Florida with remarkable dedication and professional skill. Dr. Breland opened a practice of medicine and surgery in Marianna, Fla., in 1950. He was an active member of the Jackson Hospital medical staff until his retirement in 1998, having served as Chief of the Medical Staff and on various medical committees. He became a charter diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice in 1969 and remained certified until his retirement. Dr. Breland was a Charter Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice and a Preceptor for the Tallahassee Family Practice Residency Program. He was a member of the American, Southern and Florida Medical Associations. Dr. Breland is survived by his wife of 52 years, Betty Baker Breland, five children, 14 grandchildren and a brother. The surviving children are: Jabe A. Breland II, Ph.D. of St. Petersburg, Fla., Thomas L. Breland of Davie, Fla., Margaret B. Watkins of Palm Harbor, Fla., Henry B. Breland, M.D. presently of Charleston, W.Va., and Anna B. Bailey of Tallahassee, Fla. His brother, Loren D. Breland Jr., M.D. resides in Hattiesburg, Miss. The family will receive friends and relatives at Lord Funeral Home on Caverns Road Monday, April 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. CDT. Funeral services will be held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Marianna on Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at 2 p.m. CDT with Father Gene Carpenter and Parson Bill Breyfogle presiding. Interment will take place in the church cemetery immediately following the services. The family will greet friends in MacKinnon Hall, adjacent to the church, following the services. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that materials be made to the Jackson Hospital Foundation, Jabe Armistead Breland, M.D. Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 1608, Marianna, FL 32447 or to St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 4362 Lafayette St., Marianna, FL 32446.

MYRTIS POSTON CRAFT
Myrtis Poston Craft, 83, of 1623 Primrose Lane, Panama City, Fla., died Thursday, April 12, 2001, in a local hospital. She had been a resident of Panama City since 1942 moving here from Birmingham, Ala. She was a member of the East Bay Baptist Church and was a former member of the Panama City Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James E. Poston and her second husband, Carl Craft. She is survived by two sons, James E. Poston of Panama City, Julius C. Poston and his wife, Susan, of Douglasville, Ga.; one daughter, Jane Poston Johnson and husband, Edward of Panama City; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J.E. Hodges and the Rev. Jim Kirkland officiating. Interment will follow in the Parker Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. today. Those desiring to, may make a contribution to the East Bay Baptist Church Building Fund in memory of Myrtis Poston Craft. Active pallbearers are Austin Woods, Johnny Gilbert, Mildon Dauphin, Harry Stubbs, Anthony DeRamus and David Sellick.

AARON ROBERT GALE CRUNKELTON
Aaron was born into this life on January 30, 2001, and was reborn into heaven on April 10, 2001. Aaron will be sadly missed by everyone who came to love him. He is survived by Mommy and Daddy, Christopher and Bianca (Daniels) Crunkelton of Southport; grandparents: Robert and Minnie Crunkelton of Southport, Gale Daniels of Southport, Tena Daniels of Belleville, Mich.; and great-grandmother, Carlean Parker of Ypsilanti, Mich.; aunts, uncles and cousins: Jeanie and Donny Young of Sunny Hills, Timothy, Donny and Levi, Dale and Shirley Nelson of Wausau; Sandra and Nicole; Michelle and Kenny Deehl of Southport, and Cody Deehl, Richard and Jenny Colegrove of Belleville, Mich.; Dean, Corena Jo, Ashlynn, Marissa and Corena, Krystal and Dennis Stamper of Milan, Mich.; and a very special loving aunt, Bambi Daniels of Southport; also a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor King officiating. In lieu of flowers, a monetary donation may be made to the young parents. Aaron has left us in our human world, but will be with us again in the glorious streets of heaven. We know Aaron is one of God's special Angels and will be held in the loving arms of Jesus Christ. We will sadly miss our little "Pooka Bear." A special "Thank You" to the staff and doctors at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola for the love and skills they used for Aaron's "very special" care; to all the wonderful staff and nurses of the Hospice of Northwest Florida for their love and support for Aaron and his family; and to his favorite nurse, Nancy.

RICHARD M. FISHER
Mr. Richard M. Fisher, age 78, of Panama City Beach, Fla., died Thursday, April 12, at his residence. He was a native of Pittsburgh, Pa., and had lived in Panama City for 15 years, moving here from Portland, Maine. He was a structural steel draftsman, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and was a member of the VFW in Hiram, Maine. Mr. Fisher was also a member of St. Bernadette's Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Lois Fisher of Panama City Beach; two sons, Michael James Fisher of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Mark R. Fisher and his wife, Elise of Standish, Maine; two sisters, Rita Lewis of Pittsburgh, Penn., and Dorothy Clunk of Toledo, Ohio; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, at the St. Bernadette's Catholic Church with Father David O'Shea officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, April 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m.

WILLIAM G. GRADY JR.
Mr. William G. "Bill" Grady Jr., age 77 of Lynn Haven, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2001, at a local nursing facility. A native of Hart County Kentucky, Mr. Grady had lived in Lynn Haven for 23 years, moving here from China Lake, Calif. He was a retired electronics technician, working civil service for 25 years. He retired from the Naval Costal Systems Station in Panama City where he received numerous letters of commendation. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lynn Haven where he was a member of the choir and the Anglers Sunday School Class. Survivors include his wife, Judi Grady of Lynn Haven; one daughter, Patti Moon and her husband, Jay of Austin, Texas; one granddaughter, Kelly Weddington and husband, Darryl of Oregon; two brothers, Paul Grady and wife, Barbara and family of El Paso, Texas and David "Butch" Grady of Louisville, Ky.; one sister-in-law, Connie Grady and family of Nashville, Tenn. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucille Logsdon Grady; a daughter, Sara Howard; a brother, Dan Grady; and a sister, Nixola Grady. Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Monday at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Esmond Hilton officiating. Burial will follow Wednesday at the Pearl Webb Cemetery, Canmer, Ky. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, April 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either the Mental Health Association of Bay County, the American Cancer Society, or to the First Baptist Church of Lynn Haven, Fla.

VIVIAN KAMBA
Vivian Kamba, 79, of 521 2nd St. S., Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., and formerly of Panama City Beach, died unexpectedly March 31, 2001, at Riverview Hospital. Private graveside services will be held at a later date in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids is in charge of the arrangements.

Theodore Forbes McCann, of Mobile, Ala., died Wednesday, April 11, 2001, in a Panama City hospital. He was a native of Meridian, Miss. A memorial service will be held Monday, April 16, 2001, at 7 p.m. at the Mobile Memorial Gardens in Mobile. The family requested memorialization by cremation.

LOUIE J. NICHOLS
Louie J. Nichols, age 78, of 3342 Bradenton Ave., Panama City, Fla., died Friday, April 13, 2001, at a local hospital. He was a native of Calhoun County, Fla., and had lived in Panama City since 1944. He was an auto mechanic and a member of the Highland Park Baptist Church where he was a member the Eddie Spradley Sunday school class. Mr. Nichols also was a member of the Central Electronic's Coffee Club. Survivors include two sons, Ronnie L. Nichols and wife, Vicky of Panama City and James A. "Jim" Nichols and wife, Jeanette, also of Panama City; one daughter, Karen L. Williams and husband, David of Panama City; seven grandchildren: Christy Carpenter, Stephen Nichols, Gregory Nichols, Melanie Howle, Jason Nichols, Ryan Williams and Lindsay Williams; three great-grandchildren: Lauren Carpenter, Audrey Carpenter and Byron Howle; four sisters: Minnie Mae Thorpe of Milton, Fla., Rosa Bell Thorpe of Panama City, Christel Walden of Clarksville and Mildred Etheridge of Panama City; and special family friends, Anna Lois Braswell and Jewel Smith. He was predeceased by his wife, Vertice Nichols and a grandson, Michael Nichols. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 16, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dan Pickerill and the Rev. Ken Brookins officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Asked to serve as pallbearers are Stephen Nichols, Greg Nichols, Jason Nichols, Ryan Williams, Randy Carpenter and Burtt Howle. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today, April 15.

ELIZABETH GARRETT STANFIL
Mrs. Elizabeth Garrett Stanfil of 2634 Monterey, Detroit, Mich., passed away on April 9, 2001, at her home. Mrs. Stanfill is a native of Panama City, Fla. She attended the public schools of Bay County prior to moving to Detroit approximately 50 years ago. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Rhodie Garrett Toland; two brothers, Charles Garrett and Joe Garrett. She is survived by a loving and dedicated husband of 44 years, Mr. Noah Stanfill; a daughter by marriage, Brenda Smith and husband, John Smith III; two granddaughters, Jonerica and Joycelyn Smith; a grandson, John Smith IV, all of Birmingham, Ala.; three brothers: Frank Garrett and wife, Norma of Daytona, Fla., Jack Garrett of Oakley, Calif., and Robert Garrett of Orange Hill, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Daisy Danzy; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. A graveside funeral service will be held Monday, April 16, at 2 p.m. in the Hillside Cemetery, with Bishop Arthur E. Cutler, officiating. Burial to follow. The family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Lorretta and Mr. Tommy Glass, 921 North Center Avenue, Panama City.

Cynthia Long Whitehead, age 47 of Pensacola, Fla., passed away April 12, at a Tallahassee hospital. She was a native of Panama City, Fla., and was Protestant by faith. Survivors include three sons: Randall Ray Whitehead II, Johnathon Robert Whitehead and Brian Lee Whitehead, all of Pensacola; one brother, Walter L. "Wally" Long III and wife, Elizabeth of Panama City; her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Trawick of Headland, Ala.; a cousin, Jan Walworth of Headland; and numerous other aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 16, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frank Starling officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until the start of the service at 2 p.m. Monday.
