Mrs. Mercedes Kerrigan, age 78, of Wewahitchka, died Saturday in the Calhoun-Liberty Hospital in Blountstown. Mrs. Kerrigan was born in Patterson, N.J., and was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Wewahitchka. Survivors include two sons, John Kerrigan of Wewahitchka, Thomas Kerrigan of Bronxville, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Wewahitchka. Interment will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla, N.Y.

JEAN M. CALER
Jeanne passed on April 24, 2001 at the age of 54 in her hometown of Pittsburgh, PA at her daughter's house. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy; her daughter and son-in-law, Monica and John Wilkinson and one grandchild, Lexie Wilkinson; her brother, Johnny; her sister, Joyce, and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law, and son, Mark. A Mass will be held in Pittsburgh on April 28 and a Graveside Service will be held in Panama City at a later date, which was her home of 14 years. Jeanne touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed. The family asks of all who knew her and loved her to "Keep her strength and love in your hearts."

BERTHA PIPPIN DAUPHIN
Bertha went home to be with God on April 24, 2001, in Heartland of Brooksville, Fla., after a lengthy illness. She was born on Dec. 15, 1911, at White Oak Creek Washington County, Fla. Bertha moved to Clearwater, Fla., in December 1949. She moved to Panama City in September 1980. Bertha had been a resident of Hernando County since May 1993. Bertha was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Norman; five brothers, R.E. Pippin of Graceville, Willie Pippin of Cantonment, Fla., Alex Pippin of Panama City, Fred Pippin of Panama City and Tom Pippin of Panama City; two sisters, Vera Burke of Panama City and Gladys Owens of Panama City; one infant great-granddaughter of Panama City. Bertha is survived by four daughters, Bertha Pauline (Roscoe) Hall of Panama City, Helen E. Myers of Panama City, Zelma D. Dotson of Spring Hill, Fla., and Inez D. (T.J.) Owens of Panama City; nine grandsons, five granddaughters, 12 great-grandsons, 10 great granddaughters, one great-great-grandson and one great-great-granddaughter; four brothers, Ross Pippin of Lynn Haven, Cecil Ray Pippin of Port St. Joe, Johnnie B. Pippin of Cedar Grove and Roy Pippin of Chipley; two sisters, Evie Dee Rogers of Chipley and Viney Haddock of Callaway, Fla. Services will be held today, April 27, at 10 a.m. at Southerland Funeral Home. Burial will be at Piney Grove Cemetery, Chipley following the services. Grove Cemetery, Chipley, Fla., following the services. The following gentlemen will serve as active pallbearers: Keith Owens, Kenneth Owens, Brian Owens, Mike Myers, Timm Myers, David Dotson, Ed McCall and Jim McCall. June Mills Hopkins, 67, of 2212 Edgewood Drive, Panama City, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001, in a local nursing home. She had been a resident of Panama City since 1976 moving here from Washington, D.C. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Hopkins. She is survived by three sons: Alexander Flood of Panama City, Richard Flood, Michael Flood; two sisters, Jennie, and Tup, all of England; three grandchildren: Alexander Andrew Flood, Anna Flood, and Christy Flood. There will be no services held locally and memorialization will be by cremation .

Mrs. Betty Jean Peters, age 74, of Lynn Haven, Fla., passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2001, at a local hospital. She had been a resident of the area for 27 years, coming here from Orange City, Fla. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Peters is survived by her children, Leamon Peters and his wife Lynn of Lynn Haven, David V. Peters of Boyton Beach , Fla., Karla Culpepper and her husband Charles W. of Panama City, and Jeff Peters and his wife Kathy of Navarre, Fla.; grandchildren: Alan Culpepper, Ryan Hoover, Vickie Burkett, Melissia Pickron, James Peters, and Kimberly Peters; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ann Northrup of Bradenton, Fla.. and Charlene Furham of Elkins, W.Va. Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 29, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Taylor Hodges officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Alice L. Willis, age 79, of Lynn Haven, Fla., passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2001, at a local nursing facility. She was a native of Bainbridge, Ga., and had lived in Lynn Haven for 14 years, moving here from Tampa, Fla. Mrs. Willis was a member of Hiland Park Baptist Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, William Willis of Lynn Haven; five children: DeWitt Owens and his wife Jo Dean of Clinton, La., Glenda French of Alabama, Barbara Stevens of Sunny Hills, Fla., Robert Smith and his wife Emily of Kemptner, Texas, and Margaret Kapun and her husband Charles of Lynn Haven; a sister, Myrtle White of Blountstown; 17 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 28, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Don Pickerill officiating. Interment will follow .

DOLORES MORRIS
Mrs. Dolores Morris, age 72, of 601 Amberjack Dr., Bay Point, Fla., died Friday, April 27, 2001, at a local hospital. She has been a resident of the area for six years, coming from Birmingham, Ala. Mrs. Morris was Methodist by faith, a member of Bay Point Woman's Club and Bay Point Yacht Club. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Morris Sr. of Bay Point; one son, Joseph D. Morris Jr. and his wife Virginia of Panama City; two sisters, Jerry Crabtree of Chattanooga, Tenn. and Heddie Chastain of Cleveland, Tenn.; a brother, Stanley Fisher of Forestdale, Ala.; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home, today, April 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at a later date in Birmingham, Ala. .

ELVIN J. RESMONDO JR.
Elvin I. Resmondo Jr., died at his home April 26, 2001, following a lengthy illness. A native of Pensacola, he was predeceased by his parents, Elvin I. and Marie Purdy Resmondo, and his beloved Schnauzer "Howard". Mr. Resmondo had resided in Panama City for forty years. A graduate of Vanderbilt University, he was a microbiologist and worked in that field for forty-five years, retiring from Gulf Coast Hospital in 1996. Elvin thoroughly enjoyed his work and held high regard for his co-workers. He was a member of Forest Park United Methodist Church and was co-founder of the Church's PAWS (Pets Are Working Saints) Ministry. A quiet-spirited man, he had a deep love for family and friends and his home and dogs were of special importance. Elvin is survived by his wife, Ruth S. Resmondo. Having been "first-loves" in high school and friends for more than fifty years, they were married sixteen years ago. He is also survived by sisters, Betsy and Jane Resmondo of Pensacola; son, Captain R. M. Rikard Jr. USN and wife Lee Ann, of Chesapeake, Va.; daughter, Randi Leigh Coleman and husband Pat, of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; daughter, Rosanna Duke and husband James, of Montgomery, Ala.; six grandchildren: Erin Leigh Rikard, Kyle M. Rikard and wife Lauren, Tim and Chris Coleman, Will and Emily Duke; mother-in-law, Katherine M. Ondrik of Bloomer, Wisc.; close friend, Robert Whitehead of Ontario, Canada; and his beloved Schnauzer "Wilma" and Little Westie "LuLu". The family wishes to thank Dr. Bruce Josten, Jerri, Candy, Janet, Mary Kay and Chaplain R. C. Warren of Hospice of Northwest Florida; Misty, of Patients Choice, and our church family and friends for their loving care and support. NANCY CLARK
Mrs. Nancy Clark, 95, of Panama City, Fla., died Thursday, April 26, 2001, in a local nursing home. She was born in Helen, Ga. and moved to this area in 1957, from Pelham, Ga. Mrs. Pelham was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Panama City, where she was active for years in the Progressive Women's Sunday school class, as well as being a volunteer with the Bay Medical Women's Auxiliary for over 40 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Mack "Uncle Mack" Clark and is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Gail C. Samuels and husband W.R. Samuels of Pine Bluff, Ark.; one grandchild, Mr. Leon R. Samuels of Monticello, Fla., and two great grandchildren, Stephanie and Amanda Samuels. Mrs. Clark is also survived by two very special friends, Garland and Eileen Crabtree. Funeral services for Mrs. Clark will be conducted on Tuesday, May 1 at 10 a.m. in the Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Al Rowell officiating. The interment will follow that afternoon at 3:30 p.m. EST in the Akridge Cemetery in Camilla, Ga. The family will be receiving friends on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home .

Bill A. Odom, age 64, of Panama City, Fla., and formerly of Red Level, Ala., died April 20, 2001, in Florence, S.C. He was predeceased by two brothers, Jack and Winnion Odom from Panama City. He is survived by his former wife, Winnie Lee Pendarvis; one daughter, Bonnie Sue Odom; one son, Billy Joe Odom both of New Orlean, La.; two grandchildren, Kelly and Phillip and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Jon Goicoechea, age 24, of Panama City, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2001, at local hospital. He was a native of Ja Karta, Indonesia, and he lived in Panama City since 1981. Mr. Goicoechea was a friend to everyone, loved coaching and helping kids, and was a very loving son and brother. Mr. Goicoechea was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. He is survived by his parents Juan and Tessi Goicoechea of Lynn Haven, Fla.; two sisters, Maite and Miren Goicoechea of Lynn Haven, Fla.; grandmother, Milagros Mrosek of Panama City Beach, Fla.; grandfather, Gerard Donlon of Manila, Philippines; grandaunt, Fran Donlon; granduncle, Jack Donlon; stepgrandfather, Renehard Mrosek of Panama City Beach, Fla.; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at St. John's Catholic Church with Father Marty Bratek officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. AUDREY CONNER HASKIN
Audrey Conner Haskin, 78, of Oak Grove passed away Sunday morning, April 29, 2001, in Bay Medical Center. A native of Jackson County, she had been a resident of Wewahitchka for 30 years before moving to Port St. Joe in the early 1980s. She was a retired nurse, working for the Municipal Hospital in Port St. Joe. Mrs. Haskin was a member of the First Baptist Church of Port St. Joe, and had previously been an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bill Conner and Ed Haskin; and her daughter, Mary Kathryn Griffin. Survivors include her brother, Jack Morgan and wife, Naomi of Wewahitchka; two sisters, Nell Morton and husband, Jimmy of Cleveland, Tenn., and Louise Morgan of Valdosta, Ga.; a stepdaughter, Peggy Smith of Tallahassee; and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. CDT on Tuesday, May 1, 2001, at the First United Methodist Church of Wewahitchka, conducted by the Rev. Harry Johnson. Interment will follow in the family plot in Jehu Cemetery. She will lie in state at the church from 5 to 7 p.m. CDT today.

Phyllis L. Loring, 71, of Panama City passed away Saturday, April 28, 2001, at Bay Medical Center. She was a native of Jackson, Mich., and had lived in Panama City since 1980 after moving here from Jackson. She retired after 30 years of service as an admissions clerk at the Jackson Osteopathic Hospital. She attended the First Baptist Church of Lynn Haven and enjoyed reading. Survivors include one son, John Loring Jr. and his wife, Linda of Panama City; one daughter, Linda Birdsall of LaGrange, Ga.; one brother, Edwin Grinnell and wife, Bernie of Jackson; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2001, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Esmond Hilton officiating. Entombment will follow at the Chapel of Love Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m.
